Made from Magic #3

Made to Rule

Rate this book
Made in her Image. Made from Magic. Made to Conquer. Made to Rule.

Two hundred years ago, the balance in the Kingdom of Magic was destroyed when King Baran, the Elemental Monarch, killed the other kings and queens and declared himself the sole ruler. Since then, all other forms of magic have been persecuted, banished, and treated as less than the Elemental Witches.

It’s been prophesied that I will be the one to restore the balance and make the Kingdom safe for all witches and Magical Creatures. I hoped I could work with Prince Archer on this goal. I hoped he would be open to the idea of restoring the four monarchs.

I was wrong.

If there’s any chance of restoring the balance, we must go to war against a sophisticated military and a king who has a devastatingly destructive form of magic. Our army is assembled, but getting everyone to cooperate despite centuries of mistrust is a feat in itself. And I fear it will take every bit of magic, strategy, and teamwork we can muster to emerge from this battle alive.

Made to Rule is the much-anticipated final book in the Made from Magic Series. It is a New Adult, Urban Fantasy Romance featuring a strong female protagonist and a HEA. Contains adult situations including violence and spicy romance. A full list of CWs will be available on my website. Ages 18+

Marianne A. Scott has been writing since she was a kid. When she was always singing, those stories appeared in song form, when she majored in acting, they appeared as screenplays, but novels and short stories were what she returned to when inspiration struck. Each and every story was driven by characters and love, and, most of the time, the hope that there was something fantastical about this world that us humans just haven't discovered yet.

When not writing, you can find her with her Kindle and a latte, sitting opposite her husband in their New Jersey home. In her other life, she teaches tiny humans how to sing, passing along her love of musical theater to the next generation.

ARC review:

The finale is here and it came to play!
It’s a fast paced, heart pounding, emotional rollercoaster.

✨ I loved the small moments of humor between the high tension moments.

✨ I love the connection between the main group of characters, their playful banter and their willingness to go to bat for each other, no questions asked.

✨ I love the chemistry between our favorite couple (and when I tell you the slooooow burn of Made to Conquer PAID OFF 🥵)

The writing was just soo good. I felt every emotion how it should be felt; I laughed out loud, I giggled, I was stressed AF and I cried (even when I didn’t want to).

I enjoyed every single minute of this entire series and can’t wait to see what else we get from the Kingdom of Magic in the future.

OMG! Where do I even start? I had the opportunity to be an ARC reader for Marriane A. Scott's Made To Rule and the last book to this series was on fire. Her writing style reminded me of JRR Tolkien (Lord of the Rings, The Battle of Helm's Deep). The characters are fully developed and the journey they face brought out all the emotions in me. This book is filled with love and family, truth and lies, trust and betrayal, and lots of spice. My heart went on a winding roller-coaster ride that had me laughing and crying out loud. My husband even gave me weird looks. You will not be disappointed by the ending and you'll be left still wanting more. I highly recommend this book. It'll be one of the series you highlight on your bookshelves for everyone to see.

ARC review:

I absolutely love reading this. Watching Katie grow and evolve has been a dream. The love, heartbreak, and grief were written amazingly, watching her be strong yet vulnerable and aware of her mental health was very much needed because after all that Coleman will be a very important part of the queen’s life when dealing with stress and all the other emotions Katie is and will be facing. The relationship between Lowell and Katie helped me remember that love doesn’t come straight away but takes time, and that if I ever find a guy like Archer that I should run for the hills (or just go off the grid). The attention to detail was beautiful, from how Katie and Lowell’s family grow together to the little snippets of romance from other characters to the details in clothing and facial expressions has been a journey and a half. Very grateful I got to read this. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book that is the final book in this series and let me tell you, it was so good. There is love and heart break and chaos and I loved every minute of it. It's a little bitter sweet and I'm sad it's over but so excited for what's next from this author!

ARC review:

Let me first preface this review that I was HOOKED on this series as soon as I was about 10% of the way through Made from Magic. I read Made to Conquer immediately after release and could not wait for Made to Rule, so naturally a May release date made me very anxious. Thank you, Marianne and book gods, for moving up the release date!

Made to Rule is a fantastic ending to the series. I loved seeing the relationships and friendships of the characters evolve through the series, and feel like the majority of the characters got their fair ending. This book made me cry on several occasions, but it also made me keep turning page after page to see what was next! I was rooting for the good guys the whole time, and when a new ally would emerge, I couldn’t help but smile. I think the war and battle talk could get hard to follow at times, and I got to the point where I wasn’t sure the war would ever end, but we got there friends, we got to the end. The emotions the characters felt made me feel then too, and I really enjoyed feeling like I was a part of this journey.

The relationship between Lowell and Katie was everything we needed and more. Hellllloooooo, spice! Just, be ready for it. ;)

This book made me laugh, cry, smile, and want to throw it at Archer’s head. I’m sad this series is over, I could always go for more of the Kingdom of Magic, but I’m so glad I got to read these books!

I feel like if you are super invested in Lowell and Katie and are here for them first and plot second and want a spicy book to wrap things up this is exactly what you are looking for. I wasn’t invested enough in their relationship to forgive the lack of plot in the book. This book was a cycle of battle, sex, cute moment, battle, sex etc… and I just wanted some other scenes and moments to happen.

I’m still super excited about our spin off and look forward to seeing some new couples develop.

I am so sad to have this series come to an end. It has captured my heart and has me in tears (both happy and sad). Made to Rule is the third and final novel in the Made from Magic series by Marianne A. Scott.

There are so many important characters and things to note but for purposes of this review I will only mention the bestest ones.

The story follows the beloved Katie who is meant to be Queen of all the Magic. She is the most powerful Witch, mated to a Werewolf, best friends to a Fae, best friend to a Vampire, and sister to a powerful Dark Witch. Her destiny was chosen long before her. Her fate is hers to control. Taking over the kingdom is no easy task. Many obstacles, deaths and challenges lie ahead. Can Katie bring peace to the world of Magic? 👑

Lowell, the Alpha, the Werewolf, Katie’s fated Mate, he is relentless when it comes to Katie and her well-being. He would do anything and give anything for her. He is the Alpha of the European Pack. Lowell is one of the most loyal, down to earth, brutal, strong, and loving characters in this series. 🐺

“Even if we weren’t mates, I would choose you. Every minute. Every day. Every lifetime.” - Lowell

Vlad, Edina, and Adrianna, Vlad is the best friend of Lowell’s who Katie has become best friends with as well. He is the Count Vampire. His connections amongst the magical world and beings are impeccable. He is resilient, smartest of them all, and strong willed. Vlad is not one to be messed with. 🧛🏻‍♂️

Edina, the Fae best friend, Katie’s number #1 cheerleader for the longest time. She has unveiled powers that are beyond thought in the previous novels. Her abilities are constantly being shown as amazing many times. Her devotion to her best friend and to the others around them is astonishing. 🧚🏻‍♂️

Lastly, Adrianna is a powerful Dark Magic Witch. Taken from her sister for so many years, reconnecting is like a minute has not passed by. These two are insufferable since they’ve been back together. Adrianna faces new struggles and new beginnings in this story. 🔮

This story is filled with sadness, devastation, heartbreak, vengeance, joy, and love. It is a must read series!! Be prepared for a wild ride.

First of all totally loved and hugely respected the author for giving us the trigger warnings immediately before embarking on the journey, detailed trigger warnings with also some sneak peek of that the book is hea.. thank you Marianne Scott, you are becoming my favorite author just for that.
This is the third and final book in the series but not the last one of this world she created which I really loved and enjoyed the modern fantasy world with the mix between the raw powers and the modernity. It was so refreshing
Katie and Lowell… a badass fair queen and a supportive sexy as hell alpha mate. Loved the feminism in that book, the strong as hell females who are both strong and vulnerable who are not damsels in distress. Also loved the male representation aside from crazy delusional Archer.
The love stories are so beautiful and amazing and it is something all should aspire for.
When men ask what we want it is that, there are literally books written on what we want, but we want a Lowell or a Vlad.
The sex scenes are spicy and consensual. Level 🌶️🌶️🌶️ for me spice.
Sometimes towards the end I wanted the author to show me not tell me what happened, but it didn’t affect my love for the story that much.
The fights are amazing and powerful.
The tragic events were graphic and had me reading it twice so justI can figure out that amount of cruelty and heartaches.
Overall totally loved the book and hugely recommend it.
Can’t wait to start Of Ice and Heartbreak

I read this as slow as I could because I just did not want it to end. I love this story and these characters and I will come back to them often.

This literally picked right back up where book 2 ended and I was not ready. The first few chapters were hard and CHAPTER 24 and 25?! Literally gut-wrenching. I just sat in utter shock and horror and sadness.

We also got spice ya'll. Praise kink unlocked. If it's one you're into, buckle up for this ride because whew, I was fanning myself often. Lowell is just 🥵🥵

Also, aside from the heartbreak and spice, I laughed so much. The way these characters seem so real is a part of why I love them so much. Ice Luge 🤣🤣🤣🤣

When Kate FINALLY got to do the thing, I was ecstatic (hey Edina 🤣).

This ended so beautifully, and I'm so sad their story is over. I'm looking forward to possibly seeing them again in the upcoming series.

Marianne - thank you for writing these characters who are relatable and flawed. So easy to love and hate *cough Archer cough*. This series will forever be one of my favorites ❤️

My favourite book in the series. 😍
I just loved everything about it (well, except when it made me sob like a baby). This book is action-packed, full of angst, romance, and witty banter.
One of my favourite bits about this series is the way the characters interact with each other, you truly feel that friendship and sense of family.
Oh, and I'm 100% willing to call Vlad 'daddy'. 😉

🪄 Urban fantasy

🧛‍♂️ Shifters, witches, and vampires
❤️ M/F romance

🔞 Meant for mature audiences. Content warning can be found at the beginning of the book.

ARC review

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I screamed when I got my ARC copy of this book. I have been dying since the cliff hanger from book 2.

This book made me laugh, cry literal tears, and actually managed to throw several surprises my way I didn't expect, both good and bad. (I usually over analyze everything and expect those moments and rarely get to enjoy those audible gasp moments in reading that just give the rush of emotion and thrill) Katie's story is wrapped up beautifully. Since the books are short, a lot happens in a short amount of reading time. However, I don't really care because Marianne had me in a death grip from the beginning of this series and this book was no different.
The focus on normalizing taking care of your mental health, in dealing with PTSD is masterfully done.

ARC Review:

Oh. My. Gosh.

This book picks up right where Made to Conquer left off, and ramped it up to 11.

The tension between characters is to die for, the banter had me laughing out loud (literally, I got some weird looks while in public) and the twists and turns keep you reading.

It was an emotional rollercoaster that I never wanted to get off of. The characters were 'real', with flaws and struggles, that made the story so relatable (even if you don't have magic).

10/10 would recommend the entire series.

ARC Review:

The final in the trilogy is here and I didn’t want to put it down. I stayed up way too late trying to squeeze another chapter in. I had to put it down to stop crying at work.

The characters are amazing and put through hell in this book. The payoff is worth it. It will tear your heart out, make you laugh, and have you fanning yourself.

Katie, our MC, has grown so much since the first book and it’s a triumph to read. Lowell is amazing, Vlad makes you laugh, and Edina makes you yearn for her happy ending.

I am sad to leave these characters but I know that by being able to continue reading about the characters I’ve met, they’ll live on!

ARC Review: 4⭐️ Fated mates, witches, shifters, magical creatures, found family, badass FMC… what more could you want?

I love that the trigger warnings are listed at the beginning of the book so you don’t have to look them up on the author website!

I am so sad that this series is over, but I can’t wait to see what else happens in this universe!
I would have loved an extended epilogue farther into the future, but I understand how that isn’t always a good option.

This is one of my favorite series for sure. It gives From Blood and Ash mixed with ACOTAR vibes.

Book #3 of 3

🆗 World with different beings: witches (mostly), werewolves, vampires, fae, syrens,...
🆗 Revolt
⬇️ Monarchy
⬇️ MMC: protective, sweet, understanding, considerate, supportive, hot, powerful, alpha but not overbearing
🆗 FMC: cautious leader, traumatic past, powerful (but doesn't have that feel of awe like in book 1)
🆗 Cozy, intense "connection"
🔥 Smut (2.25/5): includes a little an*l play, a touch of praise kink and a tiny vibe of dominance
🆗⬇️ Romance
🆗 He fell first
⬇️ Plot
❌❌ Timeline too fast
❌❌ Abrupt transitions between events: without proper development
❌❌ Contradictory/inconsistent info/behaviour
❌❌ Convenient solutions/answers suddenly appear

❗ Mentions past abusive parent (not sexual), burning people, torture, death, dealing with loss.
All topics are mentioned lightly, not too graphic.

Additional notes:

🌐 WORLD BUILDING

We get a bit more information but it is all still quite messy and confusing.

There is a clear lack of background information and definitions.
Not only regarding the beings that exist in this story but how the world works, what is normal, what is expected.

The context is often given a little too late just to justify some situation in the story. And often it feels like it contradicts what we knew from the bits and pieces we gathered along while reading.

✍️ WRITING STYLE

🔸TOO FAST TRANSITIONS BETWEEN MAIN EVENTS

Not just the timeframe (which in most cases was unrealistically short), but the way the change was presented.
There was no proper preparation and development.
And on some occasions there was a complete lack of support and justification to the way the characters behaved.

🔸THE EASILY PRESENTED ANSWERS AND SOLUTIONS

The unrealistic way the FMC learns everything in her first attempt.

Or how every problem is resolved on the first try.

Do you need allies? Sure, right away, no problem, here are the leaders at your command.

We have to execute a military operation. Do we need intel and preparation? Nope, everything is done, just go.

Do we need to train? Sure, let's do it right here in middle of somewhere not really appropriate, with mediocre instructions give half-heartedly which everyone understands and is ready to attempt straight away, without reservations nor proper guidance/supervision. But everyone understands, right? So carry on, while I go.

🔸 CONTRADICTORY INFORMATION/ACTIONS/BEHAVIOURS + lack of proper info/development

For example:

- WEAK PRINCE vs STRONG PRINCE

He was always described as weak and unable to use offensive/defensive spells.

Sure the FMC did train him a few times to improve his ability because it was a great impediment to have the future ruler be such a liability.
He did improve but the idea I got was that he had passable skills, the sort "you get good enough for the short time we had to train".

But nothing indicates the prince is suddenly, without further training an unmatchable enemy, with unbelievable power, fully in control of it and military prowess.

- TRAUMATIZED VS NOT TRAUMATIZED

Sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't.
Sure, they can have good days and bad days, but that is not the problem.
The contradiction is: when they are put in situations that should trigger the trauma, nothing happens!
They act like nothing is wrong or even as if the people responsible for the trauma did nothing or act as if the traumatic event didn't happen (in the plot)!

- TORTURED and STARVED FOR DAYS BUT ALL FINE TO FIGHT?!

Really?! This characters has been starved, betrayed and tortured.
They were sure they would die any second from the torture, they said their goodbyes and last messages.
They endured the worst pain they have ever felt and can barely move.
But then all of the sudden everything is fine, they feel okay and start fighting as if nothing happened as soon as they are free.
Huh...come again?!
Even if, by magic, all of their physical condition is replenished (which would be another example for the easy, ready answers to further the plot), what about their mental health? The trauma?

- MAGIC DO's AND DON'Ts

One moment it is possible to do or resolve something, the magic acts a certain way or has a certain effect or strength.

The next moment it doesn't.

Or vice-versa.

Like with spells, healing, shields, attacks, powers, bonds and connections.

For example:
The pack and the alpha...
How in the world didn't he feel his pack's distress?! (Not to mention it all happened in a too short timeframe to be possible... once more)
Or did he supposedly feel it but didn't get back in time?
But if he felt it then his mate would have felt his panic and went to help...which she didn't...

❤️ ROMANCE

🔸MMC FELL FIRST BUT WAITS while FMC is with another - not a fan❗

This trend has been used in quite a few books as of late...
I am not a fan of having the MMC being tortured and in constant doubt of the FMC's feelings because of her being/have been in another relationship.
Not that we see him all full of angst... unsure of his place and waiting to see if the FMC is ready to let go of her previous love interest and move on or not.

🔸SIDE CHARACTERS LOVE TRIANGLE ❌❌
(Doesn't involve the MCs)

Nope. Nope. Nope.

Sorry, I like the side characters but this plot line was just unrealistic and unnecessarily overdramatic.

Who, in their right mind, would think having sex with the person your friend likes (knowing they like them back), even if that person is also your friend, would be a good idea?!
Sure, it "doesn't mean anything", "we are just friends"... Come on!!! Wake up!!!
That has messy written all over it!
Why would you get between a couple who likes each other?! Even if they are not together and are in denial...that is just hurtful. And a betrayal... In my opinion... And I really do not like this.

But of course the writer just dropped this bomb to create drama for two or three moments but then completely ignores it.
There are a couple of instances with the occasional awkwardness/jealousy but in everyday interactions there is no problem.

I loved this series soooo much, and was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for Made From Magic! It definitely did not disappoint! It has a perfect ending to the characters story. And I love all the side characters as much as the main characters. It has amazing world building, spice and ALL the feels! The banter between the characters is hilarious! It has tension, but is fast paced as well! Impossible to pick a favourite out of the three books as they were all amazing! There's not one part of the book I didn't like! And I loved it till the very end! Highly Recommend!!

Here’s my ARC review of Made to Rule by Marianne A Scott.

This book. This book was a satisfying ending to an amazing series. Marianne A Scott has done it again, easily earning another 5 stars from me.

I came across Made From Magic on Kindle Unlimited back in 2021. I was in a book slump, read the synopsis, and thought “What the hell? This sounds interesting.” I was immediately drawn in by the writing style, the main character, and the plot she was navigating. The only downside was the love interest, but then a certain werewolf was introduced (like Katie, I have a fascination with them), and I was hooked.

I had no idea the hold this book series would have on me, and how these characters and this world would start to feel like home. We were given a flawed but lovable main character who was a badass without sacrificing her femininity, a female friendship that was integral to the plot, and an alpha werewolf who is the poster child for non-toxic masculinity.

This book was just as captivating as the previous two and the novella. I was already crying by chapter 3, and it only got better from there. I laughed, I cried, my heart melted…this book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Katie’s decisions and motivations made complete sense, and I was on board with each move she made.

This book also kept up with the absolutely amazingly accurate and real depiction of what it is like living with severe PTSD and anxiety. As someone who lives that reality, this book was incredibly cathartic. Katie was never afraid to make difficult decisions, while still maintaining her compassion. Her kindness and compassion is shown as a strength, not a weakness, and that is something you don’t see often enough in fantasy romance novels.

The ending was tremendously satisfying, wrapping up Katie’s story while leaving room for Edina’s in the future.

I’d like to end this review with a thank you. Thank you to the wonderful people I have had the chance to joke and laugh with because of these books. Thank you to these characters for helping me through some of my darkest moments in the last two years. And finally, thank you to Marianne A Scott for creating this world that I have been so honored to be a part of.

If you haven’t read these books, I cannot recommend them enough. 10/10, 5 stars, highly recommend.

ARC Review:

Ok, the finale has come and it was anything but short of amazing! This is my very first ARC review and I squealed when I got the email that I was chosen to get to read this book! I am terrible at writing reviews cause there is so much I want to say but not know how to say it, but here goes nothing:

When I first came across this book series, it was through BookTok and basically all the snippets' people were posting from the book that had enraptured me to add to my TBR list and read right away. I was immediately hooked by the very first sentence and I had to know more. The main characters, the story development, the dynamic between Lowell and Katie as well as everyone within their circle of friends/family, and the representation of mental health had me going through these books in a whirlwind. I always am a sucker for found family tropes as well as werewolves (like Katie lol) so this series as I was reading through had me in a rollercoaster of emotions like laughing, crying, having my heart melt in more than one occasion. I really appreciated how the author had mental health as a theme and how magical beings are not immune to mental illness as portrayed in the books I have read. It was really refreshing and I just thoroughly enjoyed this book! Even though I loved Lowell and Katie, I really loved Vlad and his witty and funny lines. I am sad that I am leaving this world behind, but also excited for the next chapters in the other characters' lives such as Edina's!

I must say it really is ridiculous how much I love this trilogy! It's not every day that you find a series that gets better with each book, and Marianne has conquered that!

This is the 3rd and final book in the Made From Magic series where we follow Katie and her newly found mate, Lowell, and her crazy team of advisors and friends on her rise to Queen, first of the Dark Magic witches and then the Kingdom. When I tell you there are too many amazing aspects of this book to even list them all, I truly mean it!

But what always gets me (with all 3 books) is just the sheer amount of story she manages to get into each book, and it doesn't feel rushed. The timeline fits so perfectly and flows so seamlessly throughout each book. This one is no different, and because this is the "wrap up" book of the trilogy, there is no lack of adventure and activity here. But we also keep the sense of found family, spicy romance, and a great magic system.

There are war scenes of violence with graphic details, as well as some torture aspects thrown in. But these are listed as triggers in the front of the book. While I would have loved a Vlad and Adrianna spin off I'm glad we got somekind of closure in here as well for them!

Love it and Marianne Scott will remain the top of my list for reading everything she puts out!

So many big spoilers ahead you’ve been warned

This book was overall enjoyable, and the series a good one! I will say the whole bachelorette/bridal party/wedding detour that we took was kinda weird and definitely did not go with the vibes, like I sort of wish it had just been a quick ceremony and then we could have moved on. Also I just need to say that I hated the nickname “pup” like we can’t you find anything that doesn’t sound like you’re a grumpy 80 year old woman??

However, since Lowell’s basically entire family was murdered in a terrible way it was probably a good thing, which by the way was so sad I couldn’t even believe it happened?? And then her MOM?? I feel like we did not get to really process all of that before we just moved on and they were mostly ok. Like dang that was so rough.

I also wish that we had gotten more of a split POV book, I just would have loved Lowell’s POV. I might read Edina’s book once it’s out, I’m intrigued (and hopeful for an RH bc of the whole “that’s my mom and my fathers” thing). I am also interested in Adriana and Vlad

Enjoyable series overall but it felt like it was trying to be more than it was at times

ARC Review:

O..M..G! I couldn't wait for this book to be released. After the ending of book 2 the wait for book 3 just felt so long. It didn't disappoint though.

Book 3 picks up right after book 2 ends and SO MUCH HAPPENS!

I went through so many emotions reading this book. I laughed, I sat on the edge of my seat in suspense, and I cried. Oh did I cry! Be prepared with some tissues for some moments in this book. My heart was broken, but there were moments that helped mend it all back together.

I don't want to put to much in the review and create spoilers. All I can say is you need to read it!
Absolutely love the friendship, family, and love between the characters in this series and they just continue with this book.

Spice level is OFF THE CHARTS! Several chapters worth reading a few times. haha

Loved this book. So bummed that the series is over, but looking forward to reading this series again and again to experience the connections, action, and romance.

You definitely should pick this series up!

I feel like this book was significantly worse than the two before it. In the entire series it was so annoying how something would happen to Katie and then in the next page all would be resolved.
It was obvious from the beginning of the first book that her mother would die. Its always the girl with the strained relationship with her mother and then the mother dies heroically "I'm proud of you" in her dying breath and the daughter mourning the newfound relationship they'll never get to know.
Edina "coming out" halfway through the final book in the series in a random conversation and declaration of not being "heterosexual" and then never mentioning it or elaborating on her personal life is not the queer representation you think it is!!
I feel like I've read a hundred better versions of this story in my life. I was pretty into the first book and then as I kept reading I was getting tired! It's hard to be original in fantasy/romance and I salute those who take on the challenge but as I read on I just kept feeling like "I've been here before".

Here’s my arch review: I just finish the book and I truly love this series it has become one of my favorites series so far. I’m so heartbroken that it has ended and that I have to say goodbye to Katie, Lowell, and most of their little family. I love this world and it’s characters so even with a happy ending I’m sad to see them go. Katie and Lowell love is so beautiful and strong that it makes one wish mates were real. The way the characters build their own little pack/family and help each other when they are about or are breaking down by just being there and surrounding them with love it gives a warm feeling when reading. The lost of the family characters really got to me as it’s just a hardship to heal healthy from that but they pull through and cherish what they have left. I love this book and just the series itself, it’s one of those stories that I will always have replaying on the back of my mind.

📚 ARC REVIEW📚

4 ⭐️ 3.5🌶️

What a fitting end to the trilogy!

I loved hopping back into this world and fighting alongside Katie and her family as they battle for equality. As always, Lowell is amazing! One thing I really enjoy about these books is how despite the seriousness of the situation they are in you always have that one person *cough Vlad cough* who’s ready with a sarcastic remark. And to me, that makes it all seem more real because we all know that one person.

I did feel like things happened it very rapid succession and there wasn’t much of a break. But I’m glad we got to see Katie find the peace she was looking for.

Definitely check out the trigger warnings before reading. I don’t think I have a lot of triggers but dang some things caught me off guard and I got a little emotional. Still worth the read, especially if you read the rest of the trilogy!

I received an ARC of this book for my honest review. And can I say I’m so glad I did. This picked up right where the cliffhanger left off of book two. Katie’s torture at the hands of a man that supposedly loves her is hard to read. But you see just how obsessed he is with her. This books shows the lengths that he feels he needs to go to in order to “win her back.” And those lengths are terrible. This book made my heart break multiple times in the span of just a few chapters. But seeing Katie struggle with the things that happen and admit that she’s not fine, resonated with me as someone who has a hard time admitting that I’m not ok. Even with the heartbreak, this book has amazing side characters that are smart asses and keep you laughing. There’s also a very good amount of spice. Im sad to see this series completed but it was a really good ride.
