Thank you to Red Clover Digital for the opportunity to read and review this book!
•• R E V I E W •• I liked reading this book. It’s very inspirational and interesting with all the advice, tips, and success stories shared in it. There were so many women featured in this book who started from the bottom and successfully made it to the top. It’s also an interactive read because it has downloadable features (more details in the book) that you can peruse should you wish to instill the strategies shared.
If you’re a woman reading this review, chances are you’ve measured your self worth against others at some point in your life. Perhaps it was against your more affluent peers. Maybe it was a not so subtle sibling rivalry. Or it could have been how you measure up in relation to a man with the same or lesser skill set. If any of theses scenarios seem relatable to you, especially if you’re still struggling to break the cycle, you should consider reading The Science of Getting Rich for Women by @saraconnell!
This book kicks off by asking the reader to recall their earliest memories of their relationships with money. Personally, nothing earth shattering came to mind. I was an only child who had a comfortable middle class upbringing. My parents are still together. Neither one of them had issues with saving, so I inherited good spending habits. I remember being away at college and my grandmother mailing me envelopes of tin-foiled wrap cash so no one know what it was. My friends and I always got a big kick out of this. Bigger picture, money was appreciated, yet I was taught you could still have nice things and not break the bank.
Career wise was a different story. From a very early age I knew I was good at writing. My father, however, never saw this as a viable profession. Sure, there were people who made a living as writers, but those individuals were few and far between. My father is a play it safe kinda guy. Ultimately, I inherited that quality, too. So the practical part of me moved on, yet the other part of me, the part that still believes you can have it all if you have the desire things make it happen, lives on, too.
The first half of this book is devoted to strategies to do just that. Outlining the pathway to success, emphasis is put on such concepts as manifestation, hypnosis, mindset, mentors, and goal-oriented prompts. The second half is what I like to think of as the proof in the pudding portion-highlighting various women from all walks of life and their unique stories. While their individual paths may differ, they all shared the qualities of passion and persistence.
An inspiring blend of systematic approach and stories of success is what sets this book apart from others that may have come before it. I only would have added one last concluding chapter as a final reminder of how powerful women can be when they put their mind to something.
This book isn’t just talk about money. This book is also about finding your self worth as a woman and to know you do have a place in this world and you are valuable.
Sara Connell dives into her own personal story as well as shared stories of other women from all walks of life exploring the journey they’ve been on. Everything from abuse, self doubt, shame, trauma, having no money, relying on a man, not feeling worthy of anything good in life. She talks about how, as women, we’ve been taught to undervalue ourselves and constantly live in a place of self doubt that keeps us from living up to the true potential we have.
I loved reading about the women’s stories and seeing their growth, and while yes, this is money focused and gives great financial tools to use, it dove deeper into seeing women realizing their value and growing.
While I didn’t relate to every aspect of this book, there were still some great tips on managing money, setting goals (both financially and lifestyle), and the feminine positivity was uplifting to read.
I enjoy seeing books like this helping women stand up for themselves and realizing how worthy they are.
I definitely took a lot of information away from this book and have some great goals to work toward for the new year.
If you’re looking for a book to help you set financial goals as well as reading about other women’s stories, then you may be interested in picking this book up.

Why I picked up the book: I've read a couple books about money that I've liked in the past but they've always been written from a male perspective and the fact that this book was written for women is what initially intrigued me.
Key Takeaways: This book has everything you would think a book that has science in the title would include; equation, personal experience, exercises and activities linked to videos to dive deeper, other entrepreneur's personal stories.
Lessons Applied: I definitely believe I have some limiting beliefs to overcome and mindset shifts to make, but appreciated the tools given in this book as that is where I have been focusing.
Would I recommend this book?: Absolutely! After getting into the first three chapters I ordered this book for two of my besties to catch up and read it with me! I will also be buying a physical copy to keep in my personal library. I found the different entrepreneur stories to be included in this book very motivating and can see myself going back to those for motivation!

Thank you to Red Clover Digital for the gifted copy of this book..
Over the past year I have taken more interest in my personal savings- I have learned that even though I am married, it is ok to have my own money and accounts and I do- I really enjoyed the takeaways from this book more so because it is coming from the perspective of a woman for women- Sara has some solid advice in this book and my favorite part of this entire book are the bonus QR codes that you scan and walk through extra exercises, tips and tricks to being smarter with your money and having and gaining abundance.. My favorite section of the book - THE ABUNDANCE ACCELERATOR and the steps you can take to gain this.. I have always felt it is important for women to have their own small financial security- I learned this the hard way- now I am not looking to become a millionaire but I am always looking for smart solid advice on how to be smarter with my money and this book geared toward women I found to be very helpful and it might be a great way to kick off the new year for some..
I've spent the last year shifting my life, and have gotten myself to the place where I love myself enough to understand I need to take action for myself, not to try and make other people's lives better. Can't make others come with you.
So I've returned to the metaphysics success books with a clear mind and a readiness to commit to listening to some every day.
I could not at all entertain this book. I tried. But I have learned that moral reasons to act are total BS that push you to act from fear and obligation rather than desire.
I am extremely proud of this author for everything she's overcome. I recognize that she has more skills and progress in some areas than I do. I also read the beginning of this book and feel the heavy and icky energy of someone who is deeply attached to their gender stereotypes and issues still. And I don't want to take on that energy and use it as the reason I act. Thanks, but no thanks. My journey is mine. And I am way beyond blaming men or society for the stories it holds. It takes time and consciousness to expand them.
The first third of this book was written as a self-help book designed to inspire you to close the gender gap and not only earn the pay you deserve but also go beyond that and get rich. I found this part of the book to be well-laid out and I found a lot of things that I can incorporate into my life in order to better reach my goals.
The second two thirds of the book consists of the true stories of twenty five women who started with nothing and were able to become millionaires. I found this section to be hit or miss to me. There were some stories that I found inspiring but others were not relatable to me.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this and plan to revisit the first third of the book frequently.
FIND YOUR SECRET PATH TO MAKING MILLIONS So far, women have lost $800 billion in the pandemic. For decades, if not centuries, women have earned 75 cents to the dollar of their male counterparts, with an even bigger gap for women of color. The Science of Getting Rich for Women aims to be an antidote to this global financial gap and a catalyst for women’s financial freedom and empowerment.
Author Sara Connell shares the exact journey she took to go from struggling to make $20,000 a year as a writer and coach to making over $1,000,000 in one year as an author, speaker, and coach. She shares the step-by-step process she has used with 1000s of mothers, writers, coaches, leaders, and entrepreneurs to create impact and income through work that they love, using their mission, their stories, and their talents. You’ll also read the stories of 25 women who started without investors, capital—or in many cases, anyone believing in them—and became millionaires. By the end of this book, you will have a toolkit to create millions, while changing lives and having a positive impact on our planet.
