Shannon O'Toole is a young, Irish-American fitness and nutrition instructor.
The business sector has realized that sitting all day is unhealthy for their employees. Shannon's degree focuses on helping white collar workers improve their health thru fitness and nutrition. She heads to Manhattan where there are a lot of opportunities for her career. Coming from a small town, she embraced the hustle and bustle of the big city and soon lands a job at a large publishing company.
Shannon starts living her dream and makes new friends who introduce her to the cities night life. Then life becomes complicated when she meets and falls for two very different men. Each one appeals to a different side of her personality. She doesn't want to hurt either one, but knows she has to choose?
Will one man be her epic love story, or will fate step in and make that choice for her?
Conflicted by S. L. Cruz is a refreshing take on modern love stories with a narrative deeply rooted in today's blue-collar society, highlighting the protagonist's burgeoning career in the health and fitness industry, her journey from Ohio to Manhattan, and her ambition to change lives through wellness, fitness, and nutrition. This unique angle enriches the drama and adds depth to the story, distinguishing it from conventional romance narratives.
Cruz depicts the inner turmoil of a woman caught between two loves against her expectations and beliefs about romantic entanglements.
The protagonist's desire to inspire and motivate, to bring positive change in a sedentary world, is built in as a heart pulsing into the novel body.
For readers looking for a drama that combines the trials of love with the fulfillment of finding one's calling, "Conflicted" is yours.
I found "Conflicted" to be a deeply engaging and emotionally charged read. S L Cruz has crafted a narrative that delves into the complexities of personal relationships and internal struggles with a raw and honest approach. The characters are intricately developed, making their journeys relatable and their conflicts palpable. This book kept me hooked with its realistic portrayal of emotional turmoil and the quest for resolution, making it a compelling read for anyone who appreciates stories of personal growth and overcoming adversity.
Conflicted by S L Cruz. An interesting read based in the current world which many can easily relate to. It starts off a little slow for me, even seems a little non-fiction-like but gets into the swing of things as the story progresses.
Very interesting stories that can take the reader to imagine. It’s almost like two tales love in modern day that depict the chaos or triumphs of sexual relationships.
