Many months ago, a line struck me “You take hold of grief, a dalliance with ache, and let the past enfold you.” Part of the anthology’s prompt, it has stuck with me through the changing of the seasons. Even now, when I open ‘Disintegration’ (which I keep loyally on my bed table at all times) I still feel the echoes of grief, solitude, and a certain hunger.
There is beauty in this collection. It is one that the reader must seek first in their own soul, and then see its reflection in the words scattered among these pages. At its very essence, ‘Disintegration’ is about the human emotion. The one we bury so deep inside us, and pray it never reaches the light of the day. The one we only let spill in ink onto worn pages of our hidden journals. The one we share only in whispers.
This anthology of poems, photographs, and collages is very beautiful and well curated. I love the quality of the pieces! (One of my poems is included which is pretty cool, too!)
