Brooklyn I was locked in a cage for 16 years. But I lived in it willingly.
And I didn’t come back to this city for a boy who forgot about me when I was kidnapped. Matthew Caldwell broke his promises to me. And I broke every single promise I made him.
But it’s a lot easier to decide something when you’re not staring at your past face to face. Matthew Caldwell helped heal my heart once before. And I think maybe he’s the only one that can help me now.
Matt It’s easiest to remember Brooklyn in the fall. The autumn leaves remind me of her. The crisp smell of the air. It’s all her.
I wasted half my life loving someone that’s never coming back. And I still want all the things I once did – kids, a wife, a home.
But how can I move forward if I still feel her presence at every turn? It’s almost like she’s still here with me…
Ivy Smoak is the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Amazon #1 bestselling author of The Hunted Series. Her books have sold over 4 million copies worldwide.
When she's not writing, you can find Ivy binge watching too many TV shows, taking long walks, playing outside, and generally refusing to act like an adult. She lives with her husband in Delaware.
I'm really torn on how to rate and review Empire High Homecoming. I love this series, I have not always liked everything but I've put my trust in Ivy to get us through to the end.
That being said I loved and hated this book. I loved being back in the Empire High world. Brooklyn's back and we do see happy reunions throughout with James, Rob and Mason. These were heartwarming and emotional but we don't see who we all want it to be with until the very end of this book. I wasn't happy about that because we have waited for so long and now we have to wait ANOTHER 6 months for the next book. I feel the pacing on releases is what makes this feel like it's dragging, alot of the last 2 books has had a ton of unnecessary filler. Homecoming has ALOT of filler! There is no progression, we don't learn anything new!
Even though I laughed at the antics of Nigel and Tanner I felt like this was their book and NOT Matt and Brooklyn's. Tanner really shined in this one but I'd rather of had more Matt and Brooklyn time.
We get 1% of Matt and Brooklyn's reunion at the very end of this book, even with how explosive that reunion was, it wasn't worth the 8 months of waiting for this book to release. NOW we have to wait again after another cliffhanger ending.
I'm disappointed, disheartened and just plain sad that we didn't learn anything new. That we got strung along with a bunch of filler.
Homecoming is the sixth book in the Empire High Series. I wish NetGalley (or publishers) would make note of what books are part of a series in their listings, I was so excited to see that Ivy Smoak had an audiobook on NetGalley that I didn't cross reference it with goodreads to see if this was a stand alone or part of a series. The reason I was excited was because I have read several of Ivy Smoak's books (series) and enjoyed them. I enjoy her writing and her many characters. Her books have always been fast reads for me as I do not want to put them down.
This book is told through the POV's of Brooklyn and Matt. Brooklyn and Matt were once a couple but then Brooklyn was kidnapped, and everyone thought that she was dead. Believing that Matt forgot about her, Brooklyn went on to get married and have a child. Matt has mourned Brooklyn but wants things in life - to be happy, have children, etc.
Even though I did not know the backstory and other characters (but yay! I did know James and Penny!) I enjoyed this book. I though the narrators did a fantastic job. Kudos to them!
There is a lot of angst and hurt feelings in this book with the repeated statement that Matt didn't keep his promises but neither did Brooklyn. Am I the only one who was annoyed with Brooklyn? Granted, I have not read the other books but, come on. When someone thinks/believes you are dead, they do get to keep living and have a life. My soap box rant: both were hurt, both lost out of not having the other person in their lives, but all this time later, to still be complaining about it after you go on and have a happy marriage and a child was a little much for me. Both deserved to be happy and live full lives. There is nothing wrong with that. Plus, all the other characters told her how much Matt suffered while Brooklyn kept saying no, he didn't because I saw....... But then again, there would not have been this book if that hurt, and belief was not there.
Now that my soap box rant is over, I did enjoy the book it didn't make me want to know more or go back to the beginning. I can't fault Ivy Smoak for that. This is part of a series and I have not read the other books. But I will keep reading Ivy Smoak books because she is awesome and has written some fantastic books.
In a way this book had me reflecting back on the other books I have read of hers and it does have me wanting to read more of her work.
Please read the reviews of other reviews who have read all the books in this series, as they will have more insight about the characters than I did. Ivy is a great writer, so don't let this review discourage you from reading her books, just make sure you are starting at the beginning.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.
I’m torn on how to rate the book. Maybe more like 3.5 stars? Told in dual pov’s (Brooklyn and Matt), which is great bc I love reading into both sides. This book was basically just a filler though.
A little too much drama for people in their 30’s, but then I’m all “well, it makes sense since that’s how they’ve always acted”… immature and kind of selfish and secretive.
No romance again, so if that’s what you like, you’ll be disappointed, which I was. There’s a quickie at the end though.
It’s a huge no for me that Brooklyn got in a complete strangers car with her son and traveled with him to an unknown place. She also accepted another big gift from this stranger in the same day. Lady, you are a mom! You need to act like it. Smh
Still hoping Kennedy ends up with Felix. I still don’t like her though. Also, I wouldn’t read a Kennedy and Felix book if that were to ever happen.
I’m convinced Tanner is a vampire and Nigel is a genie or something along those lines. Super weird characters and I like the quirkiness they bring to this series. They’ve definitely grown on me over the past year and a half.
I’m so invested in these characters, I can not, not keep reading Matt and Brooklyns story. I’m also ready for it to end since it’s been dragged out for over a year.
ETA: The book is not poorly written at all. Sentence structure runs smoothly and the plot and story line is fine. I think this is more of me just being done with this couple.

I was given a Advanced copy of EHH and let me tell you. This book made me cry laugh and feel all the emotion. It took me on a roller-coaster that is for sure. Ivy never seems to fail at amazing me with her books. This book is definitely my favorite so far. I will ALWAYS love The Hunted series but this series and especially this book has my heart. Matt my boy Matt. My heart loves this character so much. And Nigel 🤣🤣🤣 OMG between him and Tanner I was rolling. They are the best Characters. You want a glimpse into what Ivys husband is like just look at Tanner and Nigel. Oh the sass. But again Ivy Never fails. I wish I could give it 10,000 stars! Great book Ivy!
One thing I will always say about Ivy Smoaks books they are a fast read. I'm 6 books into this series and I'm like a lot of fans want to know the final to this story. That being said with this being the 6th book I felt like it was a filler book. It felt like a lot of dancing around to finally get to the moment at the end and to me that was a mess. I will put more thoughts under spoilers since this book isn't out yet and comes out November 10th. If your a fan of this series or like me at this point want to see the ending it will at least be a quick read.
Thank You NetGalley for this Audio Arc in exchange for my honest review.

Returning to New York for answers after 16 years, it’s obvious just how much has transpired, how much Brooklyn has missed.
We are treated to interactions with all the characters we’ve known and loved throughout the Empire High series. Seeing their evolution throughout the series is my favorite.
That said, this installment reminded me why I don’t like Brooklyn. She’s still very much the same character as she was when the series began sixteen years prior - very immature and borderline narcissistic. However, Homecoming also solidified Tanner and Nigel as some of the best, most quirky characters ever.

These books never fail to make me cry! Miller's letter 💔
Saying that, I am kind of annoyed at how the end of this series is being drawn out when this was supposed to be the final book.
There was so much happening in side stories with Tanner, Nigel, Kennedy and Poppy that really could have been cut out and no one would know any different, the story would be exactly the same.
I'm also a bit annoyed we still have to wait for the end! If all the pointless stuff had been taken out then surely this could have been the end?! It just feels like Mattlyn reuniting is being drawn out too much now.
I loved seeing Brooklyn reunite with the Untouchables and their families. I also really liked how Matt was last to know. BUT this series could easily have been done in this book. The whole vibe of Tanner and Nigel and whatever paranormal they are is just really jarring in this series where there'sbeen no reference to this previously, whereas in The Society it works great.
Fingers crossed the next book really will be the end and wont be dragged out again, I feel like I've been waiting 16 years too!!!
P.s. Kennedy can still go suck it, #teammattlyn 😂

I debated on what rating to give this book as I enjoyed parts of it but was left disappointed at the same time. It was nice to be back with the Empire High guys and all the possibilities for reunions between old friends. Whilst I did enjoy the moments with James, Rob and Mason the one I really wanted was such a let down. Honestly it felt like nothing much happened, the story didn't progress in any meaningful way and we didn't learn anything new. I had hoped with Brooklyn back we would have the majority of the book with her and Matt but they are only actually together for about 1% at the end then it finishes on a cliffhanger.
Maybe my expectations were too high but I had a huge feeling of disappointment when I finished and knowing the next isn't out until April next year I just felt disheartened.
Thank you so much Netgalley and Dreamscape audio for my gifted early copy in exchange for a honest review.
I absolutely loved this one and so so sad it ended. I NEED the next book. I really liked Matchmaker and Runaway, but this was definitely my favorite. This had so many reunions and brought back old characters. I still love Tanner and Rob, and I am even more excited for The Society #thismeanswar. I love all of these characters, and I think everyone will really enjoy this book.
This was amazing on audio, but I cannot wait to read my physical copy!!
Over 400 pages and we still have non finished "epic" story of Matt and Brooklyn. It's ridiculous !! Instead to write all this meaningless dialogs between rest of characters, I think it's long do to tell the readers what is the end would be and don't trying our patient and disrespecting us. I started reading till first 18 % of book and just scipt to last 2 chapters , nothing interesting. Very disappointed
I needed a couple of days to write this because these books wreck me. First let me say I love this series. For me it just gets better and better and I’ll tell you why! Because it’s written for the characters! Ivy does pain and heartache so well because it’s about real adult relationships. No it’s never going to be instalove and I love that.
Watching Brooklyn try and process her past and her loss over a couple of weeks is heartbreaking but this book gives you amazing closure
Watching Matt try and deal with his past and what his future looks like I feel for him. He just wants to put everything behind him and try to be happy for once. He sees all his friends and knows he’s living in the past and wants to move forward so he makes dopey decisions to try and do so.
The most amazing parts of this book is all the little moments that you really appreciate. I don’t want to give any spoilers so I’m going to try and keep to the teasers. Watching Brooklyn with people from her past gah my heart! The moment she finds out about K&M gah my heart. Her meeting Tanner and him helping her to process her loss gah my heart!
I laughed, I sobbed. I smiled, I did everything I knew I would because hey Ivy puts us through it and tbh I wouldn’t have it anyway else.
Ivy thank you for being true to the characters and their story, their love, their grief, their pain, their idea of happiness, their friendships and relationships. I can’t wait for the next book and honestly I don’t know how I’m going to say goodbye to them all.
Another rollercoaster of emotions in yet another incredible book. There’s a reason we are so attached to these characters and it’s because they are so developed they become so real to us. Love them or hate them they are incredible.
After 16 years, Brooklyn is back, but she’s not quite ready to see Matt. And Matt? Well, he just might be ready to move on.
The drama, the angst, the emotions, the soapiness, the antics of Nigel and Tanner, the CLIFFHANGER—GAH! Book 7 cannot come soon enough.
I listened to the audiobook version. I love when there are two narrators for a dual POV novel. With the combined narration from Connor Crais and Laurie West, I felt like I could close my eyes and see this playing out on a TV screen. And Crais’s voice is deliciously deep in this one. Given the circumstances at the beginning of the book, West’s portrayal of Brooklyn’s early chapters is understandably tense, so be prepared. Those chapters definitely raised my blood pressure and stress levels, but West’s tone and delivery does shift along with the emotions and content of the book. You won’t be feeling that constriction and thudding heart the entire time. Do brace yourself for West’s performance of Brooklyn’s son, though; those parts did make me cringe a bit.
All in all, I enjoyed this escape back to New York with the gang from Empire High.
I received an advance copy from Dreamscape Media. All review opinions are my own.
Ivy has done it again! Raw, insatiable, powerful, heart wrenching, funny, loving!!! Any emotion you can possibly feel you will feel with this book! All of the untouchables and Kennedy back with Brooklyn and more! Penny seriously brings out the best in everyone and Scarlett and Jacob! Want more can I say! I didn’t think my heart could take anymore of the push and pull between Matt and Brooklyn! The way they always gravitate to each other no matter what or where they are! Can they help heal each other and Find their way back to one another in the end?! True love never dies.
I was given a advanced copy in exchange for a honest review and let me tell you book 6 made me laugh and cry it was a emotional roller coaster Ivy Smoak did not disappoint.I finished this book in a few hours I could not put it down and now I need the next book. I am not giving any spoilers all I can say it is a must read and get your tissues ready.
Okay, I’m struggling with what to rate this book… bc I really do love Matthew and Brooklyn together & am rooting for them all the way.
When I first started this series, I was sucked right into Empire High & the world of the infamous Untouchables. My heart broke at the end of book 3, when Brooklyn was taken away from Matthew & crew. And while I loved the book, for invoking such a strong emotion from me… I can’t help but dislike the way the story turned after that. Turns out, Brooklyn ISN’T dead, she’s just been gone for 16 years (while mostly due to her father), due to a MISUNDERSTANDING. She’s so hung up on the fact that Matthew didn’t “keep his promises” to her, that she doesn’t see anything SHE’S done that was wrong (granted, getting married and having a kid aren’t wrong, but she also, broke promises).
I just feel like the series should’ve taken a different turn for books 5 & 6… Lots of filler, and I had to wait 96% OF THIS BOOK before Matthew & Brooklyn even came face to face.. for a quickie, and then to both get mad at each other and storm away - ending there. I felt the whole big reveal took waaay too long, way too many people meddling.
I still semi enjoyed this book (Rob is hilarious), but it def didn’t add anything to the story line for me… hoping the next book is the final one in this series, so I can see the HEAs and close the door on Empire High.
This review in no way, is in regards to the author & her writing… I still love Smoak’s books, just a little disappointed in how the story turned out. However, I know she has a plan, and am going to trust she’ll end the series the way the characters deserve.

I’m not entirely sure how I’m going to write this review without giving too much away but I’m going to try. Empire High Homecoming is the 6th book in the Empire High series, and it picks up virtually where Runaway picks up. Starting this book, I didn’t know what kind of journey I was going to take, but the one thing I was looking forward to being wasn’t Brooklyn’s reunion with Matt, but her reunion with each of the Untouchables and her meeting Penny. Brooklyn reunion with James was everything I imagined it to be, and I think that is what broke my heart. It wasn’t just Matt that experience the loss of Brooklyn, it was also the Untouchables. She impacted Rob, James, and Mason so much that they all 3 married girls from Delaware.
Throughout this book you see Brooklyn going back and forth within her emotions. She states several times that she doesn’t love Matt, and you can tell that she doesn’t want to move on from Miller. She wants revenge for him being taken from her too soon, however if you know Brooklyn you know revenge is not something she is capable of. The 16 years of her being gone has not changed that. Adult Brooklyn is still as strong and resilient as what she was in high school. She is also still sweet, and a wonderful mama to Jacob. Let me tell you, Jacob stole the show for me. I have a couple of favorite scenes involving him, one of which includes Tanner.
Don’t get me started on Tanner and Nigel. They brought laughter into places where I felt I would have broken down. They both are so ridiculous, but the ridiculousness adds comedy to this book that would otherwise be heartbreaking. Tanner really wins in this book. I feel like you see a whole different side of Tanner, even if he did have ulterior motives.
I will say Homecoming solidified my feelings on Kennedy. I have never been one to openly hate her, or even dislike her. I felt she made mistakes as a teenager, but so did Brooklyn so I never fully understood the hate. This book didn’t do anything that would make me hate her, and in fact I feel some may even like her a little after reading this book. She’s not the villain everyone makes her out to be. Doing a reread of the first 3 Empire High books, and of Homecoming shows that Kennedy has always had Brooklyn’s back even if it led her to conflicted feelings and heartbreak
This book also showed me a glimpse into the person I am hoping Mr. Pruitt is really. I have always said that I believe Mr. Pruitt loves Brooklyn and wants the best for her. He just has his own weird ways of showing it. Spoiler alert another one of my favorite scenes with Jacob involves Mr. Pruitt.
I will say there is a cliffhanger, however I don’t’ feel like the cliffhanger is as bad as the one in Betrayal, Matchmaker, or even Runaway. The next book I can tell will be well worth the wait, and after the rollercoaster of Homecoming I need time to recuperate.
Empire High Homecoming takes you all over the place with the feels. I experienced heartache, laughter, more heartache, and even anger while going on this journey. The way that I felt, and others felt just shows how good Ivy is at building these worlds. These characters feel real to me, they don’t feel like fake fictional characters. They are characters that I could see running into in New York City. They wouldn’t feel this real if it wasn’t for Ivy. I know some may not like this book because they don’t get everything they want in this book, but that is the beauty of a series. If we got everything we wanted in this book there would be no need for the next 2 books.

I don’t know how I’m feeling. There were good things that happened but there were a lot of not so good things. This is where the spoiler warning comes in. You’ve been warned. I’m talking about the end. All that character development for Matt and then he literally behaves the exact same way he did when he left Brooklyns dads house on Thanksgiving (it WAS Thanksgiving right? That was so long ago and I’ve been through a lot emotionally with this series since then) AND repeats almost the exact same words to Brooklyn and storms off?! I’m super confused because the end of book 3 and all of book 4 was Matt saying how he would always regret his last words to Brooklyn. But he was given his second chance to tell her how he felt and that’s how he reacts? I also didn’t like that literally everyone they ever associated with knew that she was back but they were able to keep it from Matt or Matt wasn’t ever able to figure it out? We have been DYING for a Mattlyn reunion and honestly this felt forcefully dragged out. Like a filler book full of will-they or won’t-they and when-will-they. Now we have a book 7 to wait for. I’m sure/praying that this will all resolve itself in book 7 (assuming that’s the last book) hopefully Matt will have a come to Je**s moment, turn around and they’ll have that convo we got DENIED. I will say though, everything that Tanner said at the football game was pure gold. That man knows what’s up. LISTEN TO TANNER.
Ivy has done it once again and taken me on a rollercoaster of emotions. One page I was laughing so hard and next I was crying unable to read more. Many times I was so mad at certain characters that I wanted to throw my book at their head. This book goes back and forth between Matt and Brooklyn’s POV. Now that Brooklyn is back in New York, she runs into many of our favorite characters. All the reunions were what you would expect and absolutely perfect. Poor Matt just needs a hug on one page and then a slap in the face on the next. Tanner and Nigel are for sure the comic relief in this book and were there to cheer me up after a tough scene. Tanner is also the complete hero in this book and I love him even more than I already did. I won’t give away any spoilers but I am 100% Team Mattlyn. I was before and I will continue to be. I truly believe they will get their happily ever after! I can’t wait to see what choice Matt and Brooklyn make next.
I was thrilled to receive an advanced copy of Empire High Homecoming! The time has finally come and Brooklyn is back in New York. After 16 years, she’s back! I literally couldn’t wait to see how this was going to play out.
Book 6 was another roller coaster of emotions. I was anxious and nervous and sad and happy. At times I wanted to close the book and yell and in the next moment I’d be laughing. Somehow a little bit of Nigel and his lederhosen and you’re ok again. Which is so completely random and yet you need it. Ivy how do you do that?
Homecoming was everything I didn’t know I needed. I literally devoured each word because I couldn’t read it fast enough. I had so many questions leading up to this book and I know I should have trusted Ivy even though I now have a million more.
It is so hard to write this without spoilers because there is so much to say and I have so many feelings I want to share. There is still a lot of journey left and I can’t wait to see how it is going to play out because that cliffhanger…. Ugh! I loved this book but I’m already anxiously waiting for book 7.
I was given a Advanced copy of EHH and let me tell you. This book made me sad angry laugh and feel all the emotion all at once. Ivy smoak had done it again an amazing author I know all of us what to know how it end and we skip to the end but you have to read it from beginning to end no skipping to the end you want to know what happening I promise you love it and hate it in a good way I’ll be waiting for book 7 because wow
Nigel and tanner are hilarious together and apart you’ll need the laughs because the emotional roller coaster this book take you you need laughter. Once everyone find out Brooklyn is alive and they keep the secret from MAtt. Brooklyn has to be the one to let him know but she been conflicted to talk to Matt. We have to wait until book seven for the confrontation with Matt friends. this book is about reunion.
Miller the last thing he left for Brooklyn a letter let just say now we know why Ivy was crying the letter was closure and never give up and to keep living for their son and find happiness for both of them.
Firstly, let me just say. I LOVE THE EMPIRE HIGH SERIES..
This book just didn't do it for me. I feel like a lot could have been cut out and made into one book with Runaway. I was disappointed in the reunions. I didn't get the emotions at all and I'm full of emotions 🤣. I feel Nigel is getting too much now and if some or a lot of Nigel was cut out and focused more onto the reunions it would have been so much better. They're the OG's of the story we needed more from them and not Nigel. I'm sorry don't come for me!!🤣.
The ending felt so rushed, I maybe would have liked a little more between them. (Trying not to give spoilers).
The letter was a lovely touch and this did make me cry!!
All this said, this is no reflection of Ivy's writing at all and I'm super excited for Exposed! I just feel this book was more of a filler with a lot of unnecessary bits.
I'm still a bit meh about this book. I'm fully invested in this series and will still read the next 2 books. But I honestly felt like there was so much filler and it certainly wasn't needed. I don't know why Nigel was such a big part of this book - I don't care for him. Even Tanner to a certain extent. But boy did he redeem himself. This series of books is all about the emotions and heartstrings and tough subjects- organ farming as such, murder, depression etc. Yet I felt sticking Nigel into the mix personally ruined the emotional side of this book. Trying to make the book lighter and funnier. Forgive me but I'm sure it should be all about the feels. And I'm annoyed at the ending! It made no sense- Surely after 16 yrs that would never have happened 🤷♀️ Maybe 3.5 on a good day. Not what I expected at all. But I'm ready for the hate
I wanted to cry and throw my phone so many throughout this book. My thoughts and emotions are swirling and my head- and heart is a mess. This book has going to take you on an emotional roller coaster, so buckle up. I’m still not liking Kennedy, nope. I know everyone thought Brooklyn was dead for 16 years, but to start to date your best friends boyfriend- knowing how much he still loves Brooklyn, no. I felt for Matt so much throughout this book. Everyone was keeping him in the dark and it was wrong. And I think for the first time in the series, I was so angry at Brooklyn. And the ending…OMG 😭😭😭😭😭 I don’t want to give ANY spoilers away, so I’m keeping this review short. But be warned- Ivy definitely takes us on a roller coaster of emotions. But I know the ending will be worth all the tears and frustration building up to it.
I was given an advanced copy of this book for free for my honest opinion.
Oh my...oh my.... I don't even know where to start. Ivy is an amazingly talented story teller. She makes you feel all the things. I laughed, I cried, I sat stunned, and I yelled. The suspense of waiting for Matt and Brooklyn to see each other again just kept getting more intense as the book continued.
Brooklyn reuniting with the Hunters and Mason was everything I had hoped for and the Hunters reacted just as I hoped. Masons reaction hit me straight in the heart. Jacob doing what his daddy told him was epic. This book is everything and I can't wait to read the next one.
You must read this series but be ready for the most sensational rollercoaster ride of your life. 5 stars just isn't enough!
I was NOT prepared for that ending. My jaw is absolutely dropped and I simply *need* the next book NOW.
Ivy is an absolute mastermind at building suspense and keeping you tearing to the next page for more and more. This series is the most wild series she’s written to date and I have a feeling it’s going to keep getting crazier and crazier.
Brooklyn is back and things just got even more complicated. This story made me laugh, made me cry, made my heart explode, made my heart break, and it’s still beating fast as I’m coming to terms with that ending.
If you haven’t already picked up this series - start it! And if you’re a Smoakster, you’re in for a wild ride.
That cliffhanger though…come on! In all actuality, I thought the author did a pretty good job of making this book readable outside of the series. I realize there are others that probably have more detail but I still was able to enjoy this one on its own. The ending was rough though.
🌀Synopsis Brooklyn stayed away for 16 years. Some of those years she was unwillingly away but for most she willingly left. Now that her husband was murdered, it’s time to go back. It’s time to see her friends while avoiding the man that she loved since he obviously didn’t love her. Or it didn’t look that way when she had tried to come back and caught him with another woman.
Matt is doing his best to let Brooklyn go. She’s been gone for 16 years so it’s past time. Besides, he loves Kennedy now and he’s mostly sure of that. Well, that is until he sees Brooklyn again and the old flame flares immediately. But, she’s married?
Omg! I received an ARC of Homecoming today and was not able to put it down until I was done. This was definitely my favorite of ALL of Ivy’s books which says a lot since I love each and every one of them. I definitely cried and laughed. Tanner has definitely won my heart. Scenes with Tanner and Nigel were hilarious but some scenes with Tanner were so heart warming. And Jacob is hilarious! I love this book so much and I cannot wait until April!
I just finished and I am a mess of emotions. So let’s break it down.
If you been through with us on this Empire High journey then OMG! (& if you haven’t people pick up the series & catch up to the rest of us I promise you won’t stop)
This book was EVERYTHING you didn’t know would need after Runaway. The moment I started on page 1 there was nothing that could stop me from being done in one sitting. Yes you will cry, but I promise you will laugh. Yet, if you are like me and become one with the book (or kindle) you may scream and want to throw it before you keep going.
Those moments with Tanner & Nigel are just one of a kind. & I LOVED that it was DUAL POV! So we saw everything Brooklyn & Matt were going through just keeping us more on the edge.
Now at that ending guys! Ahhhhhh! Just EPIC! the real questions remains…how will we survive the wait for EHE?? As always, thanks for another amazing read Ivy! You don’t ever disappoint us.
