I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did (being a dog person myself).

Needles to say it’s a great compilation of short stories and art.

I found myself more than once crying or laughing or crying and laughing at the stories.

Disclaimer, I have a flash fiction in this, "Purr Therapy."

There were several stories/poems I loved in this, but here were my top favorites:

"Lightning Cat" by Jonathan Edelstein
"Forever Cat" by Carter Lappin
"That Thing We Lost" by Gerri Leen
"The Sorrow" by Jenny Blackford

"Forever Cat" had me in tears.

[Disclaimer: I have a story, 'For I Shall Consider My Cat J/FRY', in this anthology]

It's hard to go wrong with a cat-themed anthology, since readers - and writers - are legendary for their love of felines. This one, taking cats to their very different speculative futures on Earth or among the stars, mixes short stories with artwork and poetry.

Standout stories for me were 'Forever Cat', which made me cry, and 'Why The Louisiana Swamp Cat He Go To Texas', which is enchanting but also very funny. But everything in there is strong and I'm delighted to be a part of it.
