Season Shifters #2

Autumn Kissed

Rate this book
I answered Fate’s call. I got the mate I never knew I wanted but can't live without. Now the Vampire Queen wants both of us.

I found my fated mate in the one man I’d sworn to hate forever. He’s nothing like I thought he was, and I’m not mad about it. We should be enjoying our newly found mate bond, instead we have a new threat looming over our heads.

When vampires show up at the local Season Shifters Academy, endangering the lives of the shifter children, we have no choice but to fight the self-proclaimed vampire queen and her bloodthirsty babies.

I’m no longer cursed. Never was. Truth is, I’ve been kissed by the Fae, making me more powerful than I ever realized. The queen of vampires knows it and wants to use me, and my even more powerful mate, to gain control over all supes. She’ll attack the packs until we agree to join forces with her.

As the passion for my mate grows into something stronger—something I’m not ready to face—we have to fight for the safety of shifters everywhere.

Will we stop the vampires in time, or will I become the queen’s pawn and lose the mate I’ve just found?

Autumn Kissed is the second book in the Season Shifters series. Due to mature/sexual content, dark themes, & language it is recommended for 18+.

Kimberly Quay has loved romance & fantasy as far back as she can remember. Her childhood home was full of fantasy, romance, and thrillers books and movies. Born and raised in Florida, she spent most of her youth outside searching for fairies and hoping to meet (and fall in love with) a vampire.

Author of contemporary romance, paranormal shifter romance, and urban fantasy, she’s a sucker for a good rom-com and is fascinated by old graveyards. When she’s not working on her next novel, she’s reading or hiking the trails of North Florida.

Kimberly still loves reading. Especially Nora Roberts and Kim Harrison.

This is the second book in the series and in my opinion is better than the first. We got to know most of the characters in the previous book so there isn’t as much character building needed and we can launch straight into the action and wow! This book certainly has a lot of that going on. Poor Ember just gets put through more more pain and anguish than anyone should have to. The way she sacrifices herself to try and put an end to what’s going on is incredible as is her ability to try and forgive Stella. I’m honestly not sure it’s something I could do. Just when you start to think that a certain psychotic vampire has been taken care you realise it’s not the end at all! Though watching the relationship between Liam and Ember grow has been very special. I can’t wait to see what happens next for them and how they deal with the threats to all supernatural creatures. Very excited for the next book.

Ember and Liam . . .

Ember’s powers are growing and luckily she has her powerful mate watching her back. The two of them have some tough decisions to make. Their strength together has them ready to fight their enemy. But the Vampire Queen wants them both for her own use. To get them under her control, she threatens relentless attacks on the shifter packs and the children unless Ember and Liam give in to her demands as a way to increase her power. Can the two of them fight her? Can they stop the destruction? Or will they become pawns of the evil vampire queen?

I just love Liam and Ember’s story so far. I love that it hasn’t been a case of insta-love & that they’ve had road bumps along the way. I can’t wait to see how everything shakes out in book 3! Fantastic spice of course 🤩🌶

There's so much going on in book 2; it's hard to keep up! Ember is still being ostracized by most of the pack members; however, she does have a few strong people (Liam being one) on her side. Although this story ends in a cliff hanger (again), it really is the story of Ember's growth of her powers her learning to trust others to have her back. Being Liam's mate has a lot of advantages too! Read on for more exciting adventures starring Ember and her growing posse!.

Fantastic story and this is book 2 in the Season Shifters series I love the characters Liam and Ember their chemistry is sizzling 🔥 and there’s plenty of action, suspense, danger, drama, passion and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. Sorry guys no spoilers just know that this book isn’t a standalone you do need to read book 1 to understand the characters and what’s going on and I can’t wait to read book 3 but that’s not until next year and I highly recommend this book/ series.

Love this series!! This is the second book in the Season Shifters series, and it did not disappoint! Ember and Liam are still smokin' hot and in love, but they have obsticles to overcome... Like the evil vampire queen! Book 2 was just as sexy and exciting as book 1. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes paranormal romance (or romance in general) with spice, tenderness, humor, and action! I cannot wait for book 3!

Ember, Liam and the gang are back in this second part of the season shifters story.

We pick up from the cliffhanger in book 1 to a wild ride in book 2. Kidnappings, attacks on the group by vampires, Cybil being absolutely crazy, spicy scenes and some surprises!

Great read, great world building, and it ends on a HFN with a looming threat still out there, setting it up nicely for book 3.

Liam and Ember are still sooo much in love and they have so many trials to get through. There are new romances and cemented romances. There are surprises and sadness. This book has it all.
The bad guy or should I say girl is Cybil and she is pure evil and needs to be vanquished. Yet there is more evil lurking in the corner!
I don’t want to say more and spoil the story as it is excellent.
I can’t wait for the next one.

They are still totally in love but this book comes with risks for them again. The vamp queen wants them and what can they do. It gets thrilling and more thrilling throughout, and what a cliff hanger

Autumn Kissed is the second book in the Season Shifters series by Kimberley Quay and having loved book one I was desperate to read book two. It did not disappoint; it was the perfect follow up and I can't wait to see what happens next. Ember and Liam are still delightful together but the two that stole the show are Stella and Phil, which was a nice surprise! Overall, a great read with a great, well-rounded cast and an exciting story.

This novel is the second book in the Season Shifters Trilogy and it did not disappoint! Ember and Liam continue to fall deeper in love but are faced with hard choices and strife. The drama and anticipation immediately hook the reader and you are drawn into their world. I would recommend this novel and am on the edge of my seat waiting for the third!

Much better than the first book, we got right into the nitty gritty and it was great.

I am loving this story so far even if the writing sometimes throws me and I have to reread some lines if there is a scene jump.

Interesting to see Embers alpha power come through yet we haven’t seen her Vinura powers yet.

The cybil threat seems to have gone for now but we have a crazy fae on our hands now.

Smut is pretty decent and the whole glamour thing is interesting.

I really liked Bruno and I hope we see more of him in the next book

🔥 I loved the first book in this series, and book 2 answered so many questions for me. I was genuinely surprised by Stella’s character development.

🔥 I love how realistic the main character’s relationship and dynamics are even within the “fated mates” trope. So many books make it seem like the end-all-be-all but there are still very real emotions and insecurities at play and the author explored that.

🔥 If you like shifter stories, be sure to start with Book 1 in the Season Shifters series!

awwww

I’m still stoked about that ending!!! I gotta say- it’s adorable! However the first part of this book had me pretty emotional. This book is so much more than just the mystery and crazy. This is the growth book. Everyone, including Ember, is changing, adapting, evolving. It’s a beautiful thing and it makes me want so much more!!

Highly entertaining!

Autumn Kissed is another highly entertaining read by Kimberly Quay. The book dives right into action. There’s more spice and character’s come to life on the pages as their development grows. I loved the world building, it’s so imaginative that I can picture the people, places and scenery to a T. This series would be really fun to see converted to film or TV. My favorite thing above all, is Quay’s ability to write strong female characters. On to book 3!
