Pronouncing blessings upon our children is a powerful way to plead for God's grace upon them and give them a vision for what we hope they will become. This resource has been prepared with the hope that pronounced blessings will become as common in the Christian home as they are at the end of many church services.
As a father of two daughters and a long-time pastor of next generations ministry, David Michael is convinced that pronouncing blessings upon our children is a powerful way to plead for God's grace upon them and to give them a vision for what we hope they will become. Each blessing in the booklet is based on a biblical text and flows from a father's heart for his daughters and a pastor's heart for the children in his church.
When Pastor Matt asked who wanted this book he wanted to give out, I was intrigued because I have not heard a book title like that. And I am glad that I took it because it opened my eyes to this act of blessing. I experienced being blessed by my grandparents and parents, even heard the doxology of a pastor countless times, and I have read in the Bible numerous times people (not mentioning God) giving blessing to others, including Jesus himself. This book made me realize that as a Christian and father, I can bless my children as well. Thanks for this gift, Bangkok City Baptist Church!
