Elizabeth O’Roark lives in Washington, DC with her 3 children. After many years spent writing scintillating brochures about amniocentesis and heart surgery, she is thrilled to have found a job that allows her to just make s*** up.
Ok Marie! I see you girl! Marie has been crushing hard on the new priest, Edouard. Their love is forbidden, highly frowned upon, but unavoidable. I was happy to read their side of their romance, because I just knew that their connection was more than pure lust. We get to see their side of the puzzle that aligns with the story in Across Eternity. I love Edouard and how good he was to our girl, and I love how Marie just gave into what her heart wanted and said "screw what everyone will think". And it's partly because of their bravery that a lot of the history and details of the series playing out how it does even come to be.
Anyone who follows me on Instagram knows that I have a soft spot for forbidden romances and the 'priest-parishioner' trope is no exception.
So when I saw that Elizabeth O'Roark had written a story with this theme, I pounced on it and it won't surprise anyone that I loved it.
Is there anything she can't write? Her talent is undeniable, the sexual tension incredible, the relationship between the two characters so touching. And with this World War II backdrop and a Jewish heroine, I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through.
The ending left me so curious to know what happens next and now I learn that it's part of the "Parallel" saga that I ordered and received today! Best news ever! I really hope that I‘ll be able to meet Édouard and Marie again in these books.

🇫🇷 CHRONIQUE 🇫🇷
I’m so excited for Marie and Father Edouard. this shit is super forbidden. 1938, priest and a time traveler…some say she’s a witch but oh noooo that’s the love of his life. the fireworks are there and there’s no putting them out. marie ends up pregnant with his baby and more will come in across eternity.
