Forge is a big bad dude, he is the enforcer in Perdue Town, also the tattoo artist. His job is to keep all that don't belong out. He catches sight of a cute blonde across the street asking questions and being shown out of shops. He figures she's another reporter trying to get the scoop on the town like so many others. What he doesn't understand is why he feels a little jumpy about her, he should just go over and ask her what's up and to get out of town like he would with any person. When she crosses the street to his place and tells him she wants a tattoo, he is blown away by what his wolf growls...Mate!
Maya is just trying to find out where her idiot half brother is, he's half wolf unlike her, she's all human...When she sees that hunk across the street eyeing her up, she can't help herself and crosses over. Then she goes and says the dumbest thing she can think of, but she can't help herself just the growliness of him turns her on and she's a virgin!
Will Maya run away from Forge when she finds out he's a wolf, her mother made her promise she'd stay away from the big bad wolf, or will his growliness make her get closer?

Book 2 in this series. There is insta connection between our two leads. Their story unfurls quickly just as their chemistry is.
I felt a sad about the quick end solution, there was quite a build up and imho a missed oppertunity to work out some if the friction that was clear from the past. But regardless, i still enjoyed the story and it fits Ariana Hawkes writing to a T.

This was another well written story for the series. There was good danger, some humour and definitely steamy romance to fully catch you into the story ;) I really enjoyed diving into this exciting book and look forward to the next :)

I feel like I've been in a very deep sleep, and she's just woken me up. Before Maya was a never-ending night, and now the sun is burning over the horizon.
4.25 stars!
It's been a while since I've read an Ariana Hawkes book, but I was immediately pulled into her easy writing and storytelling. Forge and Maya had a steamy yet suspicious meet-cute, and I loved Forge's instant devotion to Maya's cause. This was definitely an instalove shifter romance, and I look forward to the rest of the series🖤

The first introduction of Maya and Forge meeting each other for the first time was truly entertaining. I laughed so hard. I truly love how the author decided to introduce these two together. To top it off he is a Biker Tattoo Artist, nothing sexier than that. Freaking yum.
I love how protective Forge instantly is of Maya and how for some unknown reason to her she is fully trusting of him.
This book contains so much: family loyalty, unbridled need, danger, promises, along with broken promises, and so much more. I loved the book and so happy I got a chance to read the book.

Finding a brother
I'm not sure if I would have called Forge a "biker" wolf.. yes, he rides a bike and so that makes him a biker, but he's so much more. I liked Maya better than the other females I've read so far (I read book 3, then book 1). She is not nearly as naïve even though she's innocent. I felt like they stayed on the island a little long, but overall, I really enjoyed this story. I loved Forge, and liked that Maya's brother isn't the only one who was found in this story.

It's cute, faster than I expected.
For a book with over 100 pages I thought it'd be slower paced, but somehow it turned out to be a lot quicker paced. But that's okay, because it didn't bother me like it normally does. I love the attention to details that you gave with Forage and how he looks, I was able to almost completely imagine him if I wanted.
I wished it was longer, but again, I still loved the story line of it.

Great quick read.
Great storytelling. Has action, mystery and plenty not romance.
This is second book in series and just as good as the first. I tend to like quick reading as I don't like to have to put a book down. Even though it's a quick read it doesn't disappoint and has a full storyline.

Forge and Maya
I love this author, she is so good! I started by reading her latest series then moved to this one. Maya and Forge are perfect as this story. I enjoyed that the steam is spread throughout the book. It's an easy read. Not, too much drama. Its a lighter MC story. The connection is perfect. You won't regret this book!

Short, sweet. Ridiculous- some of this was just plain ridiculous.
Can we also please give accurate descriptions of things - I did not think sexy when she described his penis like a fire hose. Not sure what penis you are all looking at but every fire hose I have ever seen/used is flat……I laughed at his flat penis
Add in the ‘I just ovulated an hour ago’ crap and it was hard to take this book seriously

Typical wolf meets make , claims mate, lots of sex, true love and happy ending but does surprise that a 21 year old innocent virgin rides off on his Harley to a cabin in the woods just minute after meeting lol my self preservation wouldn’t let me do that even after weeks

WOW!! So Good!!
Well written story and well developed characters! This one is as good as the first one! Maybe Griff will be next? A girl looking for her brother and a lone wolf, that's supposed to destroy him! What could go wrong?!?

This is a great story of two people with agendas who are trying to be secretive about their agenda but the pull is just too strong.
At times Maya kind of annoyed me, she was going through a lot of trouble to find her brother to help her mom when her mom didn't seem like a kind lady to her.

This has got to be the worst of all the books. I really hate writing reviews like this and they are 100% my opinion but this book just felt so wrong. Maya acted like she was an innocent young teenager. I don't know if this was an age play book or not but it wasn't for me.

Lots of passion. Big growly wolf shifter, who just wanted to be left alone, until he scented her. His mate comes to him , untouched, and ready to be claimed. Beautiful resolution of her original mission, that brought her to Forges town to begin with. Great happy ending.

This one is seriously infectious. Forge is so protective of Maya. These two are really meant to be. This storyline has it all: love, hate, laughter and danger. Excellent writing.
