If This Gets Out…

What if the love you never forgot found you again?

Kameron: Moving back home to take care of my abusive father is the stuff of nightmares. I never wanted to see this place again, the memories are still too raw. I need a job to help pay the bills, but I didn’t expect the search to lead me straight into the path of my closeted ex-boyfriend, Able, the only man I’d ever loved. The man I walked away from, with good reason, and who I haven’t seen in over a decade. Our shared history holds a lot of unresolved tension, but a job is a job…I know I can do this.

Abel: Trying to raise my son on my own while running for mayor is hard. Since my wife died, it’s been just Dean and I rebuilding our lives. Then my loud and proud ex shows up, bringing a whole new set of complications. It’s hard to deny there’s still a connection, but if it ever got out that I was with another man, my life would implode, and it’s my son who’d suffer most. I loved Kameron once. Maybe I still do. I know it’s a terrible idea, but I’m drawn to him…I’m not sure I can do this.

This bisexual, second chances tale dredges up the past, both good and bad, for Kameron and Able. Of course, a second chance means nothing if you haven’t learned from the first one, so if you’re lucky enough to get a second chance, don’t screw it up, right? But have either of these troubled men learned the lessons of the past?

I'm so glad I didn't look at the page count before starting this book because it might have scared me away from what turned out to be a really great story. I have a love/hate relationship with second chance romances, but this one was was done incredibly well, using a few short flashbacks and a lot of reminiscing to help fill in the history Kameron and Abel had before things fell apart between them.

What I loved the most about this book was that when Kameron and Abel saw each other for the first time after 10 years, there was no true animosity between them. So many authors turn the second chance trope into an enemies-to-lovers situation and I appreciated that this author went a different route with their reunion. The end of Kameron and Abel's relationship had hurt them both and neither man had any plans to reconnect with the other, but, after trading a few gentle barbs here and there, they slid into a fairly easy friendship that allowed them to clear the air their younger selves had made a muddy mess of. It was nice to see adults act like adults and notice those differences in each other. It felt very realistic to me.

Another thing I loved was the sheer amount of dialogue in this book. All of the characters sounded like actual human beings having actual conversations that were witty, insightful, intelligent and, at times, really funny. Kameron had zero filter and a sharp tongue. He took a lot of shit as a child and was unwilling to take anymore of it as an adult. Abel was basically his polar opposite, often not saying what was on his mind in an effort to maintain status quo and not rock any boats. He had a family name to live up to, a son to worry about and political aspirations that required the type of social posturing that earns votes. Kameron could not have been a worse fit for his life, but Abel wanted him anyway.

I usually don't like dead ex's or kids in my romance novels and this book had both, but it didn't bother me at all. Abel's wife had been gone for 2 years and was present in the story, but not because Abel was still grieving or unable to move on. Abel's son, Dean, was 7 and an active participant in the story, but not in an annoying or overwhelming way. I actually liked him a lot. He was inquisitive and smart, but also very much a 7 year old kid. I thought it was really sweet how everybody looked after him and cared about him nearly as much as Abel did.

I will admit that this book probably could have been at least 100 pages shorter and it would not have diminished the story or the character development in any way. At one point I wondered if I was just reading really slow and that's when I finally checked the page count. 450 pages! That's a lot for a romance novel, but I really enjoyed reading it. This was my first time reading anything by this author, but it definitely won't be my last.

Romeo Alexander's work is usually very detailed and much of it is lighthearted and sometimes funny. In this one he gets really serious. In this book he gives us a plethora of reasons that he should be right at the top of anyone's list of must-read authors, especially if you are an M/M Romance enthusiast...which you all probably know by now that I am.

The main focus here can be found in the book's blurb. Read it and be prepared for a series of totally unexpected, sometimes off-the-wall, sometimes hilarious and sometimes heartbreaking scenes featuring three exceptionally well-developed characters: Kameron, Abel, and Abel's far too precocious seven-year-old son, Dean. I don't usually like children having as much a part in my M/M Romances, but little Dean has become the exception! I believe that this may an era where MM & FF Romance authors are sometimes still exploring the concept of including children as more major plot members, Romeo Alexander has managed to hit it right on the nose every step of the way. I could be a bit predigest since he is one of my "I'll buy anything he writes" authors:)

There are a lot of well-drawn and well-developed characters in this book. I loved Abel's PA, Peter and his secretary, Rachel, as well as Kameron's father's nurse, Sheila. They are critical to the story and its outcome, as well as filling in the blanks along the way. This is a completely engrossing, enchanting, explosively hot and loving story with very few blanks.

In a "nutshell", Abel and Kameron met and fell in love...or maybe luck was more like it, 10-years ago in college...then life came along and they lost contact. Neither expected to ever meet up again. Now they have accidently reconnected, both with different lives and different ambitions. The one thing they, and the reader knows is that they are going to have to do some deep soul searching to make a relationship work this time. Excelled read, Mr. Alexander!

So I was going to DNF at 60% but then I hit a spicy scene and felt I’d at least earned that by this point in the book. Suffice to say I ended up finishing this book.

So it’s not a bad book. The premise is great and the characters are good. Those don’t change. However and this is a big however, this book is almost twice as long as it should be. It’s nearly 500 pages and it wasn’t until the last 20% when it really got good.

The problem with this book is there are just pages and pages of unimportant, unnecessary and uninteresting conversations that don’t add any value and the internal dialogue was so overdone and redundant. Conversations were constantly interrupted with this internal speak and references to the past that it was difficult to even follow the convos. Also, the spice is minimal. So don’t expect to be captivated by heat.

If This Gets Out - Romeo Alexander -MM

Kameron Phelps and Abel Reid met at a party in their East Coast college when they were 18. Both came from a small town on the North West Coast to get as far away as possible from their families.

Kameron was out and proud, a very colourful and outspoken character, he still carries the trauma of growing up in a home where he was physically abused by a drunken father. Abel was deeply closeted, from an extremely wealthy family dominated by his father.

Having formed a strong connection at the party they became lovers for 3 years before Kameron walked away. Both men have baggage they can’t handle within their relationship.

Now in his 30’s Kameron has been forced to return to his hometown that he swore never to visit again. He’s desperately searching for employment to help with the unexpected expenses he will need to meet.

Through a weird incident in a Cafe he is offered an opportunity of employment and is taken to an immediate job interview downtown. Immensely relieved, he Is ushered into the office of his potential boss who is preparing to run for Mayor of the town. He just wasn’t prepared to come face to face with Abel Reid again.

This is a second chance story, with lots of family abuse and angst, plus alcoholism and drug related issues. There are some lovely characters here who are supportive of Kameron and Abel. Sheila, Rachel and Peter are warm people who try to help these guys get back where they belong, together.

I’d read one other book by Romeo Alexander which I’d liked and this one is just as interesting and I liked it a lot. There are more by him that I intend to read in the future.

Extraordinary

While I will admit to a liking of Romeo Alexander's work, most of it is very detailed and much of it lighthearted and sometimes funny. When he gets really serious, however, he is tough to beat and in this book he gives us a plethora of reasons to move him right to the top of anyone's list of must-read authors.

His main focus here is the book's blurb. Read it and be prepared for a series of totally unexpected, sometimes off-the-wall, sometimes hilarious and sometimes heartbreaking scenes featuring three exceptionally well developed characters: Kameron, Abel, and Abel's far too precocious seven-year-old son Dean. In an era where MM authors are sometimes fitfully exploring the concept of including young children as plot members, Mr. Alexander hits the right spots every step of the way.

There are a host of other well-drawn and developed characters in here, especially Abel's PA Peter and secretary Rachel, and Kameron's father's nurse Sheila. They are critical to the denouement and fill in the blanks along the way as well. But there are few, if any, blanks in this comletely engrossing, enchanting, explosively hot and loving story.

Bravo!

This is a well written book with a cast of strong characters centering on Kameron and Abel. It's a second chance romance with an entertaining storyline. They have a fun banter and show how much they remember of each other. The chemistry is still there and I enjoyed watching them come together. The author does a great job pulling you in and kept me reading right to the end. It moves fluidly with perfectly painted scenes and I loved reading.

First rate
Wow what a fantastic read. I have totally been hooked to Abel and Kameron’s Story. When they met in college they quickly started a relationship and when they were together everything was perfect. Except for the fact that Able was extremely far back in the closet. His parents would not be supportive of his sexuality and Abel was not ready to stand up to his father if he ever would be. So they had three years together before something happened and they split up. Years later Abel married a lady called Isabel who knew that he was bisexual he had been open with her and she knew all about Kameron. They had a son together called Dean who was the apple of his dad’s eye, Abel is a Very proud father who wanted to do things so differently to his upbringing. His father was still such a big part of his life and as he got ready to run for mayor he needed all the backing he could get.
Kameron Was not happy to be going back home to look after the father who abused him, once even breaking his arm. But they had tried putting him in a home and everyone he went to his drunk abusive father would get himself kicked out so now they had no option but for one of the kids to go back and look after him. And that had come down to Kameron because he wasn’t married with two children like his sister or he wasn’t a drug addict battling addiction like his older brother. One day when he’s having a bite to eat in the café a young man aged 7 came over and started talking to him. And this conversation changed his world forever because it got him a job interview. And this job interview bought him back face-to-face to Abel. And it was obvious the attraction was still there for both of them but what would happen when they spend more time together??
Wow what an emotional read to go through all the struggles that these guys have been through, through their childhood and even now into adulthood. Abels son Dean is just brilliant. He stole the show a couple of times throughout the book. But the love that these two had for each other should never of felt wrong should never of felt like it had to be Hidden should never of been thought of as a sin. What is a sin is people who are not accepting of people sexuality. my heart hurt for Cameron because you knew a huge fall was going to come I guessed what it would be even read about it brought a tear to my eye. And oh was I cheering and screaming YESsssss towards the end of this book absolutely brilliant. Another fantastic read from Romeo Alexander.

Another absolutely captivating couple fighting for their forever

After all the action packed into the previous three thrilling books (To Love And Protect, The Kiss of His Blade. and I’m His First, He’s My Forever), this was a complete change of pace but I couldn't be happier with Kameron and Abel's love story.
After their college relationship ended badly, neither men expected to ever see each other again. Coming face to face after more than a decade was a shock and I loved the circumstances of how that meeting happened. Putting aside their reservations and working together gave each man a chance to come to terms with many things, not least their regret at how and why they parted. Seeing some flashbacks from each of them and watching them together in the present showed how much they meant to each other then and how much they still felt now.
Their story is much more cerebral than anything I have read from Romeo before, partly because Kameron is a therapist and Abel is a politician, but mostly because they are both intelligent and insightful men capable of holding their own in any conversation and also because of their knowledge of each other. Watching them verbally joust with each other was so much fun and their every interaction so revealing especially when the subject matter was about their individual or joint pasts.
Their passion was intense, ignited despite neither thinking it was a good idea, but unable to keep away from each other, and seeing their physical connection cemented how much they belonged together.
I wanted to give Kameron a hug all the way through the book but I found myself itching to give Abel a smack more than once because he was sometimes so oblivious to what he was doing, and what he had done, to Kameron. Their fathers had a lot to answer for, and when each one was finally confronted was incredibly satisfying.
Both their hearts were in the right place though, and I loved the ending, seeing them settled and happy.
Although this was Kameron and Abel's story, there were other characters that made it so much more than a love story between two men. Dean and Sheila were wonderful, with Peter and Rachel also great, and I loved seeing them interact with Kameron and Abel and each other.

A SECOND CHANCE LOVE STORY!

Although it was a slow start to the story I enjoyed the banter and dynamic between Kameron and Abel and of course their chemistry!

The fact that Abel married and had a child with his wife after they went their separate ways after a bad break-up does not bother Kameron as he always knew from college days that Abel was bi-sexual and wanted children of his own some day and he was so far in the closet, something that Kameron could not see himself doing until an eight year old boy approached him in a coffee shop and asked him questions about his tattoos and he gets deja vu from seeing the boy thirteen years later...

This is a story about second chances and redemption about finding your true self and not being afraid to show it to other people and learning patience and understanding true Romeo Alexander style!.

Really good, deeply developed characters with both past and present details that give a solid understanding of who Kameron and Abel are and how they connected both times. This is a heavily angst filled story with intense emotions, from sadness to anger, laughter to lust, and everything in between.
I did feel that the story could have been streamlined as some parts seemed to drag a bit. However, Kameron and Abel are eventually able to accept the love they both so richly deserve and arrive at a satisfying HEA.

A second chance romance between Abel and Kameron. Abel is a single closet dad8k and he needs help winning his campaign. Kameron is the one that got away and he's dealing with his father's illness and his past. They are getting a second chance with the help of a precocious child and friends and family despite their homophobic families. The book is sweet, romantic, funny, with some angst, and witty, great characters and I enjoyed it from start to finish. These two deserved their happily ever after.

Wow. Every now and then, I come across a story that connects to me to a deeper level, or it feels more like, that story finds me. This story is one of them. This book means a lot to me.

You'd say that after having read 26 books by Romeo I shouldn't be surprised but I am, deeply impressed. I'm blown away. This goes straight to my list of favourites, thanks to 2 of the characters with the sharpest and most complex minds I ever read.

Kameron is a survivor of childhood abuse and neglect, and as soon as he could he left town. He was also the one who left Abel after 3 years of relationship in college because he couldn't stand the secret and lies of dating a closeted boyfriend. Now in his 30s, after living a life of freedom aka loneliness, he is back in his hometown, facing all the things he ran away from all at once. Living with his father, meeting Abel again, and worrying about his addicted brother who escaped rehab again.

In the beginning, Kameron is evasive, stubborn, doesn't want to face hard conversations (I relate with him so much). He'd rather not talk or run away than face hard, genuine conversations.

Note to myself

Abel is a widower with a 7 yo son named Dean. He is the son of a powerful, evil man who only cares about discipline and reputation, so Abel is a closeted bisexual man and lives a life trapped behind the bars of his father's opinions.

Kameron and Abel meet again and they start knowing each other again almost from scratch, now more mature, and through their chemistry, their conversations, their mutual understanding, and the care for each other, they reconnect to a much deeper level, managing to break each other's walls, reach the core of each other's soul and help each other finally live an honest, free life where they are loved for who they are.

Kameron and Abel are both smart, I kept thinking they had a high IQ. Abel also has a high EQ even though his personality is heavily influenced by his upbringing, while Kameron's mind has its own rules but which, for some reason, make sense to me, maybe because I can understand his traumatic childhood and how that shaped his adult self, in different ways compared to Abel, but they both understand that about each other now as adults.

Their banter is witty, clever, and never just flirty or pointless, and it often evolves into insightful conversations where they read each other and give one another input to grow.

Kameron and Abel's relationship is not the only meaningful one. Kameron's interaction with his father in the present was very painful to read, and I could feel Kameron's words so much, when he finally had a break down and expressed all his anger.

I felt like Kameron deserved so much of love that he never had nor saw, and yet he was the one who went above and beyond to defend, take care and protect others, the ones he cared about but even the ones who didn't deserve it.

The other relationship I loved was the one between Kameron and Dean, Abel's son. They became partners in crime and K really wanted his wellbeing and happiness, not wanting him to live the life that Abel and himself had lived.

Dean is amazing, and he's way braver than Abel.

I could feel Dean's mother presence so much, as she would have loved Kameron and I think she would have thought that Kameron was the best stepparent she could ever want for her son.

The fact that Isabella and Kameron had such similar personalities, even with different backgrounds, just shows that Kameron and Abel are really the best for each other, their personalities are what the other needs to find the courage to be themselves and shine.

Lastly, Abel and his father's resolution was the one I was mostly waiting for, to see if Abel would finally manage to break free and defend not only his own happiness and the one of the man he loved, but most importantly his son's one.

The character development is outstanding. They changed and grew and learned, and I learned with them, from them.

This book was very detailed, which usually make stories feel overly dull or padded, but I think the extra time the author spent characterizing all the characters was well spent since it really helped show how much Abel cared for his son, Dean, and established a very interesting dynamic between the MCs.

The way they interacted cordially despite having had such an emotional parting was novel. Usually I'd take issue with how casual they acted, but the story really sold me that these were two individuals who had matured enough to hold a proper conversation and made efforts to move past each other (but still had lingering feelings, not enough to make things sting immediately though). I liked how honest they both were about what they felt and how they compared themselves to who they were before. It was a very natural way of being explicit about their pasts and inner feelings without having it feel contrived.

Abel asking Kameron to stay the night was so honest and sweet. I love that he was clear that it wasn't an invitation for commitment, but he was also clear that he very much cared for Kameron still. It was an amazing set up to the clear fallout that was ahead of them because they hadn't really gotten over the issues that had broken them up in the first place, yet were already inching their way into another relationship (despite both their insistence that they weren't).

The talking was sweet but I'll be the first to say that it got a bit much. I get that both Kameron and Abel were people who suffered from their respective traumas and that they were both intimately aware of each other's, but having so many long-ass conversations about their hangups got wordy. I'd have appreciated maybe two, but three plus (60% through the book) was starting to make my eyes glaze over since each conversation took over 10 pages by themselves (not even counting the set-up for it)

I liked that Kameron didn't end up .

I don't think I really understood why Abel put up with his father's shit past college. Was it really the money still? Did he not have any of his own fortune to support himself without relying on his annoying father? I didn't buy the whole "Dean suffers of my dad cuts me off" schtick because again, was Abel so dependent on his father's money that he couldn't support his son on his own?

I couldn't understand why Abel .

I also was shocked when Abel agreed to

The resolution was alright. Things went as expected with some very late apologies from but better late than never I guess.

It was a little funny reading about pre-pubescent Dean and the beginnings of teenage angst forming as a stark contrast to the sweet angel he was in the story.

TL;DR: Story is long with lots of talking and rehashing history. It was fine, but got a bit too long imo. I didn't really buy the main obstacle keeping Kameron and Abel apart (aka Abel thinking he was still dependent on his dad) so the everything part the third act felt a little melodramatic. Still a decent enough story in spite of that. 3 stars.

Kameron left Cresson Point to go to college and never return because he is the youngest and has nothing but bad memories growing up in Cresson Point. Kameron got a scholarship to go to Greenford University on the otherside of the country. Kameron was living and working in Philly when he got the call that he needed to go back to Cresson Point and live with his father who needs constent nurse care and was kicked out of the nursing homes he was in.
Abel an only child who grew up rich and goes to Greenford University because he wants to go as far away from home a possible. Abel is able to be himself somewhat and that is good. Abel and Kameron have a good relationship for three years but then split ways because Abel will not come out to his father. Abel is a single father trying to raise his son right and running for mayor of Cresson Point. Peter and Dean are getting a bite to eat when Dean talks to Kameron, and after some talking Peter asks for Kamerons resume and lets Abel know he has someone to interview for the position that needs to be filled for his mayoral campaign. When Kameron and Abel meet for the interview they both agree it has been a long time and will try to work together to see what happens. The more time Abel and Kameron spend together the closer they get. But Abel is still not out to his family and is not ready to jeopardize everything. Will Abel stand up to his father or will he lose Kameron???? What happens when Dean goes to find Kameron????.

sweet and surprisingly deep

This is a romance so expect connections and some heat, and characters with some emotional and past physical trauma (I mean would it be a romance without some of that?) but what struck me is how honest these two characters are about themselves and how real R Alexander has made them. Even the son Dean is a pretty typical 8 year old dealing with the (not recent but still tragic) death of his mother. All the characters seemed pretty grounded and my Goodness they Talk and the caregiver character was fantastic. Equal parts southern mom and saint, and giving a pretty real answer to the question “why do people take care of folks who aren’t grateful and even mean?”. It didn’t quite make it to five stars to me because 1) entire chapters in italics is just mean. 2) Talking is great and can help give depth to characters but sometimes brevity is important (as in there were parts that dragged a bit)
However, overall all the stars for creating two men and a host of supporting characters that made me laugh, giggle, cry, and cheer. Also, I liked that trauma wasn’t instantly fixed by love. And sometimes people don’t change even when it would be satisfying to see justice or absolution.

I've read other Romeo Alexander books before and I must applaud his writing of characters. Not only are they very distinct, but their voices are as well. Many writers have good characters, but when they speak, they all sound alike. Not so with Alexander's, they are unique. Yes, there are some similarities, but having written myself, it is sometimes hard to write without your own voice creeping into your characters. What writer would not say that at least some of them finds its way into their characters at some point.

This story is about Kameron and Able. Two very different men that fell in love in college and had to go their separate ways for reasons (although good at the time) not very good in reality.

Years pass and they somehow find each other. Due to circumstances that are not at all good ones: lost of a loved one; care for a sick father; dealing with an arrogant, controlling father; running for political office; trying to get a job.

They work together and find that what brought them together in college hasn't gone anywhere, but they learn to be a bit more honest with their feelings and growing and falling (or rather--still in) love with each other.

Beautifully written and with a depth that many gay romances don't normally show.

I loved this book, and I have no idea why it took me this long to read it.

Abel and Kameron are my two new favorite Romeo Alexander MMCs. Kameron is such a complex character, so authentic and relatable. My heart broke for him. I was so mad at Romeo at one point that I wanted to scream!

If this gets Out is a bit heavier than his other works. It deals with some darker subject matter and situations, but I felt it had so much more substance than some of his other books. It was a little bit meatier, if that makes sense. I think it is because the MMCs were so well written.

Romeo has mastered the “opposites attract” trope. Abel and Kameron shouldn’t work. They come from two completely different economic and social backgrounds. Abel is the quieter of the two reserved and cautious, while Kameron is louder, flashier, and exudes strength and resilience. Yet they fit together perfectly.

Kameron and Abel get a second chance after being separated for 10 years. Their lives have changed, but not their hearts or the chemistry between them. They have to overcome several obstacles, but they eventually get their HEA.

This started out as a sweet, second-chance romance novel between two men who were lovers in college but separated after. I really liked the story and would have given it 5 stars, except for one issue, admittedly subjective, but strong for me. One of the characters, Kameron, smokes cigarettes, frequently, in the story. This in no way enhances the story and could have been left out, as it is in almost all other stories I have read. Every time he lights up, I have flashbacks of the taste of kissing someone who smokes, and it completely turns me off. As I said, it seems to be a good story, except for that. Best Romeo Alexander book yet

I've read most of Mr. Alexander's books and found this one to be his best so far. Each book gets better and better, gets a little more 'real world's and easier to lose yourself in. The military books were great but harder I think for people to empathize with. This one has Abel, a closeted bi man, running for mayor with a rich homophobic father still determining some of his life. He is reintroduced to his only boyfriend from years before, Kameron is out, proud, and upset he has to return to care for his dying abusive drunk father. The two learn how to deal with their issues together with a little help from Abel's seven year old son, Dean. Definitely well worth the read.

After swearing to never return to his home town, Kameron finds himself doing just that to care for his ailing, abusive, alcoholic father. HIs father is not the only thing keeping him away from town; Able, his one true love, lived there and Kameron has no desire to run into him.

Abel, a closeted bi man, running for mayor with a rich homophobic father still determining some of his life.

With their past history, their childhood scars and a little help from Able's son Dean can they spark their relationship again or will history repeat itself?

Really good, deeply developed characters from the main characters to the side characters. This is a heavily angst filled story with intense emotions, from sadness to anger, laughter to lust, and everything in between.

I absolutely loved Kameron and Abel's story so much.

Romeo Alexander did such a wonderful job in writing this book. And yes, it is very different from the few books he's written so far this year. He has said it is not action packed, like previous books but rather character driven.

I also loved Abel's seven-year-old son Dean a lot. This kid is funny, and wicked smart as well.

If you haven't already read this book, I highly recommend it.

Kameron and Alex had their chance in college. Three years in their relationship they split because of their past with their families. Alex, now a widower, with a seven year old son is running for mayor. Kameron is back in town because his father is dying from cancer. He ends up working for Alex and is worried that they will be repeating what happened in college. I enjoyed this book and other books by this author.

4 stars

There were a few parts that seemed to drag a little, but for the most part it was a great read. Dean the little 7 yr old stole the show and his little back and forth conversations with Kameron were hilarious. Both adults dealing with their physical and mental abused pasts, and how it changed them and how protective they were of each other and Dean. Can't wait to read the following book.

What a good story.

You ever have that thought, boy if they get the right narrator this would make a fantastic book to listen to. Just a good book to read. These two men started out rather Innocent in collage. Lots of male hormones in place. 14 years later to meet again NY happenstance. Things heat up again between but the same rule is still applying you can't tell anyone one. Due to Abel being in the closet. Well drama take place. Feeling are spilled and family confronted.

Intense and high chemistry

Stories involving young heartbreak and reunions are always intense when there are so many obstacles to overcome before the happiness can begin. Lots of chemistry between the characters. Although, Dean stole the show. He was a fab character who was needed to bridge the relationship. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Really good book, i loved it. It's the first one I'm reading of this author and I quite liked the writing. The characters were also great and i was honestly particularly impressed with the kid character, considering I'm usually not that big of a fan of them, but Dean was absolutely a delight to read and made the whole story even better.

Packs and emotional punch!

Abel and Kameron, will make you feel their angst, love, history and romantic pining of the past.
One man embraced his truth while another lived by the rules of his father. Both from abusive households, yet the pain was dealt out differently.

Now both very successful in their professional lives, we see how the personal lives have taken shape. Giving love another chance, after so much, wasn't easy but so worth it!

worth the read

Two people dealing with strong family issues find their way though their emotional baggage and despite the odds, make their deep seeded bond finally their focus. Sometimes you have to get brave and speak up through the pain that lies just below the surface.
