I have only read a few of these stories so far and they were so good! I just had to share my thoughts on the ones I've read.
The story of Beauty and the Professor by Skye Warren has a twist and keeps the reader engrossed with all the little bits of drama and side stories in this book.
Blake is a scarred man who has become a recluse. Erin enters the picture as a student needing to earn extra money to finish her education, and she cleans his house for him.
As with all beauty and the beast stories, the characters are both damaged from the past, and must get over their insecurities and faults with the help of each other. Highly recommend this story!
Stroke of Midnight by K Webster is an excellent twist on the Cinderella story!
Cinderelliot is a young woman caught in her father's remarriage with a stepmother who has 3 sons. Throw in a man, Winston, and you have a story that is explosive and gripping.
This story grabbed me with its uniqueness and intense plot from the very beginning.
Now I'm off to read the other wonderful stories!

What a fun and steamy anthology! These are my two favorites stories.

A Moment Like You by Claudia Burgoa

Claudia Burgoa has done the impossible and made me fall madly in love with Henry Aldridge. If you read Loved You Once (Hayes and Blaire’s Book), then you know that Henry came across as the epitome of tall, dark and salty. And now, he owns my heart!! A Moment Like You (The Baker’s Creek Billionaire Brothers #2) is an outstanding and unforgettable addition to this series. This beautifully crafted contemporary romance will capture your heart and have you swooning from the beginning to the wonderful end.

Henry and Sophia’s story is touching, sexy, entertaining and really set my heart on fire. These characters were filled with a great amount of depth, their background gave so much more to the development of the storyline which is solid and a consistent page turner. Their chemistry is real and their feelings are true. And their clever and witty banter (I love it when Sophia puts Henry in his place) is awesome and when they finally give in to their attraction, it’s oh so hot and sexy!!

A Moment Like This is romantic perfection and everything I could’ve hoped for and more.

Dirty Filthy Rich Men by Laurelin Paige

My goodness, Donovan Kincaid is one hot, dominant alpha guy and he’s everything. He exudes power, confidence and arrogance. Sabrina without a doubt gives him a run for his money. And Donovan’s world reeks of money, power and dominance. Can Sabrina handle it?

What an amazing collection of steamy stories by twelve talented, bestselling authors in one boxed set! I have reviewed a few and am excited to read the rest!

~ Dirty Filthy Rich Men (Dirty Duet #1) by Laurelin Paige
This is an intoxicating and seductive story that pulled me in to a world of power, control and hot sex and I loved every minute of it. We met Sabrina, Donavan, and Weston ten years previously in Dirty Filthy Rich Boys. Now Sabrina is brought back into the the high stakes business world that Weston and Donovan inhabit. Sabrina is stronger, smarter and knows what she wants, but she also has a darker side she tries to hide. She has always wondered if she and Weston had a connection and now she has a chance to find out. She wasn't counting on Donovan being there as well. Donovan is sexy, dark and tortured and calls to her in a way no one, including Weston, ever has. They can't stay away from each other despite how hard they try, because their broken pieces fit so perfectly together. Their sex scenes are raw and emotional and may not be for everyone, but I see how it may be a way to face their demons on the road to redemption. But Donovan would reel her in, make her want him, only to put up his walls and turn cold time and time again. It is easy to be frustrated with him yet Ms. Paige expertly reveals glimpses of what is under all the pain and guilt he carries. She weaves an intriguing tale of manipulation, deception, hunger, and passion. The twists and turns in this story kept me spellbound, and turning the pages trying to guess what will happen next. You will not be disappointed in this captivating, sexy story.

~ At Any Price (Gaming the System #1) by Brenna Aubrey
I was totally captivated by this intriguing, fun, emotional, and steamy romance. This first installment of Mia and Adam's story is angsty, breathtaking and has loads of slow burn sexual tension. Mia is smart, caring, and strong willed. She needs to find money to take care of her mother's mounting medical bills, and to pay for medical school. Her gaming blog doesn't help, so she talks her friend into helping her auction off her virginity for one night, and no further contact. After vetting possible bid winners, Mia meets with the sexy, domineering, Adam Drake who is a successful businessman, owning his own multi-million dollar gaming company. They clash at first, but the sparks and attraction are undeniable. They agree to meet but circumstances happen that keep the contract from being fullfilled. They meet over and over, having sizzling encounters, never to completion. They are having fun spending time together, and getting to know each other. This complicates everything for Mia and her plans. Adam has his own agenda and secrets that, if Mia finds out, could tear them both apart and break their hearts. Mia and Adam are wonderfully flawed characters that are so perfect for each other. They have fun, and challenge each other and their chemistry is on fire.
Kirsten Leigh does a terrific job capturing each characters personality. Her voice changes were distinct and her intonations make you feel all the fun, angst, and passion, both Mia and Adam felt. Leigh kept me completely engaged wondering how this story would all play out, and where they go from here.

~ A Moment Like You (The Baker’s Creek Billionaire Brothers #2) by Claudia Y. Burgoa
I am falling so hard for these sexy Aldridge brothers and The Baker's Creek Billionaire Brothers series! I absolutely love Henry and Sophia's hilarious, moving and sizzling, enemies to lovers romance! Sophia has been Henry's assistant for three years and knows his company better than he does. He drives her crazy with his demands but she needs this job to take care of her parents. Now he is making her move to Baker's Creek to be close to him during the strict conditions of his father's will. She doesn't understand why he wants her there, and why he is going to great lengths to please her while being so infuriating at the same time. Henry grew up privileged but without any kind of love. He never had a healthy role model so he struggles to show his feelings for Sophia, and his brothers. He never realized what he needed until Sophia came into his life and then being forced to live with the brothers he never really knew. He had been so closed off and is now slowly learning how to let others in. But just as Henry and Sophia are finding their way to each other, his grandfathers outdated contracts threaten to break them apart before they get started. Henry is so swoony beneath his hard shell, he is so kind, and generous, and my heart broke as he showed his vulnerable side that just wanting to be loved. Sophia is so fun, and sassy, incredibly smart, and a magician at keeping everything running smoothly. She and Henry are so good together, their slow burn, sexual tension was off the charts as they learned to truly trust each other. All the brothers are unique in their own way and it is so much fun getting to know them better, watching how they forge brotherly bonds, and their sibling banter is hilarious! There are more secrets that are coming their way and I can't wait to find out more about these sexy Aldridge men and the incredible women who challenge and love them!

BEAUTY AND THE PROFESSOR:Skye Warren
🔥🔥🔥 Erin is an hard-working student paying for her tuition by house cleaning. She has been cleaning his very nice house twice a week for quite some time and has a big crush on him. Blake is quite a few years older than Erin. An ex-serviceman, scarred after an injury in Iraq. He has become a recluse, but Erin and he have detailed discussions about her study topics, politics and philosophy.

The book opens with her walking in on her employer Blake in the middle of some self-pleasure. This sparks an intense sexual relationship between the two. Erin quits because she doesn't feel right about taking his money now they are together. The situation becomes more complex when Blake is asked to fill in as a professor at the university where Erin is studying. Of course, fate decrees that he is the lecturer of her final class before graduation. Conflicts arise while neither of them want to give up what they have found together.

This ends with a cliffhanger.

THE SET UP:Rachel Van Dyken
🔥 A fun, quick read that wasn't at all angsty.

THE BILLIONAIRE'S FAKE FIANCEE: Annika Martin
🔥The title says it all. Billionaire finance guru Rex is classic grumpy to Tabitha his hairdresser's sunshine. Great story with plenty of laughs and a lot of heart. Loved it! Smuckers the dog from a previous book in the series makes a little cameo.

BROOKLYNAIRE: Sarina Bowen
🔥Great sports romance. Tech genius/billionaire Nate owns a Brooklyn based hockey team. He asks his office assistant (and secret crush) of 7 years, Rebecca to become the team's general manager's assistant. Rebecca does an amazing job and absolutely loves the team, but always wonders what she did wrong to be moved from her original position. Rebecca has always admired Nate as a boss and good friend, but never allowed her feelings to progress because of the status differences between them.

One day at work, Rebecca gets a head injury and Nate insists she stay at his place to recover. Feelings that have been ignored for years are revealed over the space of the next few weeks, alongside the hockey team's ride to the play off's for the grand final.

Really great read. So many good tropes in here: Boss-assistant, sports, forced proximity, unrequited love, geek hero, billionaire hero-hardworking heroine, etc.

A MOMENT LIKE YOU: Claudio Burgoa
🔥 Crazy set up where a rich man with multiple sons (some legitimate, others illegitimate) leaves them an inheritance, but in order to receive it they must fulfil ridiculous stipulations. They and any significant others, all must move to a small town in Oregon and live in the same mansion together for 18 months without ever spending a night away. If they choose not to participate, he has organised for all the businesses in the local area (which he owns) to close and ruin the lives of all the people living there. They all move in together to save the town.

This is not the first book in the series, but I think I got the gist of the plot. This book focuses on New York billionaire hotelier Henry (an illegitimate son) and his assistant Sophia. Henry starts out as a classic alphahole, but tones it down a great deal as the story progresses I ended up feeling sorry for the poor child, with the way his upbringing stunted his emotional growth. It becomes clear he has been secretly supporting and encouraging Sophia to achieve her dreams for the whole 3 years she's been his assistant. All the while, Sophia has a serious love/hate relationship with her demanding boss.

There was some fun twists and turns to the plot. In the beginning, the way Henry acted to Sophia was a bit problematic, particularly when he had just fired his vice-CEO for inappropriate behaviour towards subordinates. I let it pass for the sake if the story, but it did trip me up for a minute.

There is a large ensemble cast, with, I assume, multiple stories being played out at once.

Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid
I loved being inside Janie's head and hearing all of the rambling bits and crazy insecurities. It made me feel less alone in my freakishness. Quinn is amazing and I love that he wants to be a better man for Janie.

Dirty Filthy Rich Men by Laurelin Paige
This book had one of the most intense scenes that I've ever read. Chapter 12. And they weren't even in the same building. Day-um. When you finish a chapter and realize you're breathing heavy and it's a little awkward and you are soooo glad (and yet soooo disappointed) to be alone. Whoa.

So, in summary Sabrina has history with Weston, and with Donovan, but feels like she can handle it when she's offered a job in their company. Sabrina is the type of take-charge heroine that I love to read about. She knows what she wants, and she goes after it, but she's also real with a dash of self-doubt and the ability to communicate what she wants. Donovan is trying to be controlling, and Weston seems like the easy going guy that tries to go with the flow.

The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée by Annika Martin
Annika's rom-coms have heroines who are quirky and full of personality, but I don't think Tabitha can be topped. She is everything that Rex hates, from her sparkles to her soap opera obsession. To be honest, I initially admired her ability to deal with alpha Rex, but she started to wear on me the same way she did Rex with the way she said things instead of *gasp* simply doing them. But once we started to learn a little more about Tabitha, I saw what she was hiding, just like Rex. Soon I was relating to her in a whole new way and it was crazy to realize I'm not the only one in the world who has birthday issues or to have people decide they don't like your personality (at least it was BEFORE she got married...). I struggles with reading some of this book because it hit close to home, but it's also uplifting to know that there's a HEA possible, which is why we read, isn't it?

Stroke of Midnight by K Webster
I loved this book. Ash is a quick learner and has street smarts but is trapped in a crummy situation. Winston is getting obsessed and I love it.

The Billionaire's Intern by Lia Hunt
Harrison proved that he was a great guy over and over. He seemed to be someone who believed in "know better, do better" and did things to help charities and people when he could. He respected boundaries. I'm also probably going to to read the next book because I think I need to know the background on why Emery did what she did and what happens next.

What an EPIC Box Set! I'm going to pick three of my favorites in this set to review, but please run and 1-click this amazing set of stories today!!

Stroke of Midnight by K. Webster is all-consuming! Do you love fairytales retold in a dark, dirty, kinky, hot AF way? Yes, you say? Then you will need to read Stroke of Midnight! I should have known K. Webster would have twisted this fairytale to the point of no return. She's a great writer who pulls you into her story from the first dark, devious scene and never lets you go until you reach the last page. If you have triggers, you may want to pass, but if you like to step out of the comfort zone of a romantic fairytale and take a stroll on the dark, dirty, kinky side of that fairytale, Stroke of Midnight is for you!

Dirty Filthy Rich Men by Laurelin Paige is magnificent! She not only hits a home-run with this book, she hit a Grand Slam, way, way out-of-the-park home-run! I LOVED this story. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Dirty Filthy Rich Men was an enticing, twisted roller-coaster of a ride, and I didn't want it to stop. Trust me, you won't either!

The Billionaire's Intern by Lia Hunt completely captivated me. Let me just say, a Billionaire/Office Romance trope is so my jam! I always enjoy a great Alpha Billionaire getting mixed up with someone he works with. This one was great. The guy owns his own company, is dealing with the breakup of his marriage which is NOT going well, and then finds himself completely taken with a new, young intern in his office. I really enjoyed the internal dialogue he had with himself throughout the story. The guy was funny! His intern was so much more than she appeared to be. Theirs was an instantaneous connection that could not be denied. It was flirty, dirty, and steamy, until...it wasn't. Love, love, loved it!

With stories like these, you just can't possibly go wrong with this book...it's an AUTOMATIC 1-CLICK!!! Do it and ENJOY!!!

Great box set!!

Neanderthal Seeks Human:
I inadvertently read the second book in this series first and now I feel like I need to go back and reread it, along with the rest of the books! Penny Reid IS smart romance! Janie and Quinn are two of the best characters I’ve ever read. I fell in love with Janie’s intellect and awkward quirks. And Quinn’s wry, somewhat no-nonsense personality was the perfect match! The storyline was fun and fast paced, with a touch of drama. Janie and Quinn’s more intimate moments were sweet and swoon-worthy. The secondary characters insist that I read more. I just thoroughly enjoyed Neanderthal Seeks Human. It was a breath of fresh air. 5 stars from me!

Stroke of Midnight:
K Webster has brought the house down with Stroke of Midnight, a depraved twist on Cinderella that was so completely tantalizing I could not read it fast enough! Winston Constantine is about as far away from prince charming as you can get but man did I find myself wanting to cuddle up with him! LOL! Ash was the perfect updated feisty, snarky, badass Cinderella, with a raw vulnerability that brought incredible softness to the entire story. Winston makes no apologies about who he is and what he wants and this strength helps Ash work out her own confusing feelings. There are some hard, cruel scenes in this story, but K’s writing addresses the deeper impact of what is occurring beautifully.

These two characters are affecting each other in a big way. The backdrop with rich high society, warring elites, and appalling step-families gives so much depth and imagery to this incredibly sensual and suspenseful story. 5+ stars for the ensnaring Stroke of Midnight. I need more!

A good value boxset of books.

Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid - 4*

Enjoyable lighthearted read with some humour throughout. Will be looking for other books by this author.

The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée by Annika Martin - 3*

Billionaire Rex told his staff to find him a fake fiancee who is not his type at all and have her on his jet dressed for a yacht vacation so that he can use her to convince a certain client that he has changed his playboy ways. The person who turns up is his hairdresser Tabitha who is the most aggravating woman in the world. She is sunshiny, has a pet hamster, loves Hello Kitty and is addicted to soaps. As soon as she arrives she insists that certain people are up to something shady, but as days go by and they start to have fun with fake kisses which are heating up, he starts to think that her wild theories are not so wild after all.

I was conflicted about this book, on the one side they are a real example of opposites attracting, but on the other, she was just too irritating with her pauses for effect and use of characters in soap operas as examples of real-life events. (I have no idea if the programmes were real or not, but if they were then it completely sidestepped an international audience for the book). Easy to understand it also gave a lesson to not underestimate a woman. I loved the way that the story ended and that everything was mutual in the end.

The novels were either very good - four or five stars - or disappointing with sex instead of a plotline, five were first of a trilogy with four of them ending in a cliffhanger. At Any Price is the only one that can be read as a stand-alone, their HEA goes on in the next two books.

Thank you Annika Martin, Penny Reid, Brenna Aubrey, Sarina Bowen, Rachel Van Dyken, Carly Phillips, Vanessa Vale, and Claudia Burgoa for contributing stand-alone romances, the other authors just used this anthology to promote their duologies or trilogies. I would prefer a warning before each of those so I wouldn't waste my time reading up to the cliffhanger.

Stroke of Midnight* by K Webster
Book ends with a cliffhanger. There was a huge age gap between hero - better called villain - and heroine, him being 35 years, she turned 18 two days ago. Winston has pervers fantasies she fulfills to get her tuition money which her father stole from her. To top it all, said father married a successful beauty surgeon with three sons who harass and threaten the heroine.
All around bad people, no fun reading.

Beauty and the Professor * by Skye Warren
This book is the first of a duology and ends in a cliffhanger.
It could have been a good book with an interesting topic - but there was no plot just a lot of sex. Too many sex scenes are boring in my opinion so I started skipping. The end came suddenly out of the blue.
There were many inconsistencies, time leaps, and no interaction, no college life.

The Billionaire's Fake Fiancée **** by Annika Martin
crazy funny MCs, heroine strong clever, interesting plot plotline, pov-both

Neanderthal Seeks Human **** by Penny Reid
crazy funny MCs, hero white knight, heroine strong clever

At Any Price***** by Brenna Aubrey
strong heroine, interesting plotline, thought provoking ideas, HEA, first of a series

Brooklynaire ***** by Sarina Bowen
hockey, interconnected stand-alone

The Setup ** Rachel Van Dyken
plot predictable, slow, cute dog, some funny banter

Dare to Touch *** by Carly Phillips
football, interconnected stand-alone

Dirty Filthy Rich Men * by Laurelin Paige
father died, attempted rape, trust-fund students/billionaires, boring, alway the same; they have sex afterwards he ignores her for a week, hero is an a*s, heroine, weak, dumb, doormat, no HEA, there is a second book, plot completely predictable, cliffhanger

North ** by Vanessa Vale
insta-love, although I didn't feel the chemistry; crime, solved the next day; it was more a novella than a novel

A Moment Like You**** by Claudia Burgoa
billionaires, hero white knight, heroine strong clever, interconnected standalones, interesting plot plotline, pov both, romance suspense, series of 7 books until the mystery is solved, each ending with a HEA

The Billionaire's Intern * by Lia Hunt
first of trilogy, boring, weak hero, easily duped, too much sex, age gap, cliffhanger

I love Penny Reid and Sarina Bowen’s books in general, and the ones included in this “anthology” are definitely worth reading more than once.

Brooklynaire by Sarina Bowen is the perfect friends to lovers story with an office slash hockey setting. It is probably one of the best billionaire trope books I have ever read. It’s sweet, steamy, funny and super witty. There’s so much longing and the geekiest, hunkiest book boyfriend in history. Nate is a keeper. Plus, Sarina Bowen’s writing is always outstanding. She is an expert in playing with your emotions. She knows how to make you feel. All her books are delicious and Brooklynaire is always a great book to start.

Neanderthal seeks Human is the first Penny Reid book I ever read. And I have read all of them by now. It is such a delight. The writing, the banter, the inner dialogue, the characters and the story are unique and so good. I loved everything about this book. It’s really worth reading.

This compilation was great. It gave me a chance to read some amazing books by author's I would've other wise not read from. I loved just about all the books in this series. They were mostly boss romance, except for one. I think North was more of just a billionaire romance because she wasn't his boss and he wasn't her boss.
I think it would've been cool to have some non billionaire boss romance in there too. Like maybe a small town boss romance...
One of the main issues I had with this was the fact so many of these were series. Some weren't even book 1 in the series.
If your going to do a compilations, I would think you would put standalones. It was annoying to have to stop reading this in order to go and finish the series of the books. But those series were super good - don't get me wrong. I completely enjoyed them. I just couldn't move on to the next book in the box set with out finishing the series.

At Any Price by Brenna Aubrey

Mia Strong is a struggling premed student and a popular gaming blogger who needs a lot of money. Which is why Mia auctions off her virginity ... with the stipulation of no future contact after the terms of the contract have been fulfilled. But when Mia meets the winner, the stunningly handsome Adam Drake, she knows she's in trouble. At Any Price is a fun, angsty, steamy story that's utterly addictive and I can't wait to read At Any Turn to find out what happens next!

This really is 12 full-length books that can be downloaded for free. I will readily state that I am totally cheap and rarely buy books for my Kindle, but any of these novels is worth paying for. They are all very good and worth spending the time to read. All of the bosses in the stories are very swoon-worthy and I know that I would put in all the extra hours requested, both in and out of the office. Yeah, I know that was bad, but you get the idea. You can read these 1 per day if you have nothing else to do, or spread them out, they are that good. Well worth the time.

Steamy reads by some very good authors.

This was a fun read by some very good authors and it was certainly hot, steamy reading. However the highlight for me was Penny Reid’s Neanderthal Meets Human. The steam was there but it was created by some beautiful tension and dialogue between the two leading characters. Janie was a crazy delight and Quinn and his acceptance of her idiosyncrasies was a man to fall for. Together these two characters created the kind of romantic encounter most of us long for.

Variety

Lots of full length novels to read.
Some I had already read, others I own but hadn't read, at least one that was part of a series I had started and many that were new.
I didn't like them all, at least one I DNF, a couple I quickly paged through.
Overall it was a good set. The term "boss" was a bit bit loose at times.
I really wish that the first and final stories were exceptionally strong. There were so many well known and established authors in this collection that rearranging the order could have made for a much more satisfying read.

Perfect

My favourite story out of all these is Brooklynaire by Sarina Bowen. I waited for what seemed like ages for Rebecca and Nate's HEA and it didn't disappoint. These two have such a beautiful friendship first and foremost then when Rebecca realised she was as I'm love with Nate as he was with her it was magical. Their story will always be one of my favourites.

Stroke of Midnight by K Webster — Amazing retelling mixed in with a great storyline throw in a age gap. And this book has it all. I love a really good taboo book.

Beauty and The Professor by Skye Warren — Wow, loved this modern day take. Skye shows all the emotions Erin has for Blake. I like how she can overlook he’s flaws and see his inner true beauty.

Frustrating reads

Apparently I missed the review that said this was a collection of first books. They all ended in a cliffhanger! And when I looked up the next book for each I decided No! In fact out of the 12 books I truly only enjoyed and finished 9 of them.

Quick read

I liked the shorter stories. Each one easy to read in one day. Some stories more likeable than others.
I am looking into the second book on several stories just to see where it goes.

This is for K Webster
This story is off the charts. I went and got the other books to that story. Absolutely loved it. The writing and flow of that story is perfect. I absolutely recommend reading it

Box set

Il s'agit d'un livre contenant plusieurs livres... Parfois les histoires sont bonnes d'autre fois le sont moins. Ça permet de varier les genres... J'en ai aimé quelqu'unes mais pas toutes les histoires de le box set.
