I’m shackled to a monster, and the only way out is death.
My arranged marriage to Adrik Volkov soon turns into a nightmare.
Two months before our wedding date, he forces me down the aisle.
Then, drags me to a club where he shoots my father dead in front of my eyes.
The man I’m married to is a beast who will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

And he wants the crown that rightfully belongs to my brother.
I’m his claim, since we’re married, it gives him the right to lead the Estrada Cartel.
If all of that isn’t bad enough, he wants to torture me, too.
Our wedding night is when he tears away my innocence without a care.

If only his cruelty ended there.
When I look into those hazel eyes, I know this man is dead inside.
A man who has no compassion for others.
He intends to break me, ruin me, and then revel in my destruction.

And he expects me to enjoy it.
The sickest part of it all is he wants me to call him daddy.
A man so cruel, so dark, and depraved.
The nickname doesn’t fit the man, and yet when he demands it, I melt.

He’s found my biggest weakness, and he’s going to use it against me.
Adrik takes everything my family has built, but it’s not enough.
He won’t rest until he’s claimed every part of me, including my heart.
I fear he’ll have to carve it from my chest if he wants it that badly.

There’s no way I could love a monster like him... is there?

Easily the worst book I have ever read.
I read this book for my friend who wanted my opinion to see if it's something she would like but... I was not strong enough to finish this.

I enjoy reading dark mafia romances, believe me I LOVE THEM. But what the fuck was this? Plot and character development where?🧐

Here's a short review of things I could remember but it might seem a bit messy. I'm determined not to open this book for the sake of my mentality so here's my attempt at writing a review for this book based on what I could remember.

𝐀𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐤 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐨𝐯 𝐭𝐡𝐞 🚩
: ̗̀➛ Only knows how to think with his dick
: ̗̀➛ How can an MMC get worse and worse? Not only did he hold her at gunpoint to force her down the aisle... but he also shot and killed her father RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. (On her wedding day if I remember correctly?) Also I'm pretty sure her father was cruel so... I guess he deserved it??? But it's the trauma she experienced that's the issue and he's just adding more.
: ̗̀➛ After that he proceeds to forcefully take her virginity to consummate their marriage. Literally rapes her, even though she's begging him not to and PLUS HE DID THIS WHEN HE JUST KILLED HER FATHER AND NOW HE'S EXPECTING THIS.
: ̗̀➛ Pages and pages full of smut. I mean this literally, because he wants an heir and he can only achieve this by fucking her EVERYDAY EACH TIME HE GETS BACK.
: ̗̀➛Treats her like trash, if she doesn't obey him, he's gonna be an asshole pretty much.

Consent wise? I understand it's dark romance so it's out the window in these types of books but the way the dialogue was written between the mmc and fmc? I hated it so much. The dark romance books or mafia books I've seen, I've read similar things but... it's something about this one. If you read this book, just look at the dialogue the mmc is saying and it will make you hate him.

𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚
: ̗̀➛ Girl was a doormat nothing else.

"𝑰 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖'𝒓𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓, 𝒃𝒂𝒃𝒚 𝒈𝒊𝒓𝒍."
"𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝑰 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒃𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒅𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒚."
"𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒄𝒌? 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒔𝒊𝒄𝒌."
: ̗̀➛ Traumatized. End my suffering. I hate him 😃

STORY:
What I Like:
Whelp…….some of you might need therapy after this book. Don't judge me for liking this book because it's times like this that I need my head examin. It’s basically forced everythingggggggg with the darkness predominately being sexual with a dash of a traumatic past. The last two books previously written in the series before Dark Crown was light dark, so I think the author was saving that very dark juice for Adrik. I have read worst with dark contents, but, this book is still triggering and is up there with dark contents.

With this being a force/captive marriage, the author kept the characters in the same mindset of a push and pull for most of the story, breaking down a barrier each time between both characters. Eliza is forced at gunpoint to marry Adrik, and if you’ve kept up with this series, Adrik throughout most of the series is a distant cousin of evil. A thorn in everyone’s side. With Adrik being the villain and possessive it was interesting to see his internal battle at times. Do I approve of everything he did, Nooooooooooo, but did it add to the story, yes, especially if you are a lover of dark romance.

Eliza was going through it. Between her family and Adrik, I’m surprised she didn’t have a nervous breakdown. I love that she was very much aware of her surroundings and always perceptive. She fought with Adrik, and I like that it was just right and wasn’t overly done.

What Is So So:
Not even going to lie, with Adrik killing Eliza’s father in front of her still so fresh, I’m surprised she didn’t put up more of a fight with the daddy kink. I can’t say too much as I don’t want to give away the climax of the story, but I wanted to know what happen a little bit more to Eliza’s brothers.

SEXUAL CHEMISTRY:
I can strongly say the non con and forced intimacy is wrapped in caution tape and the reader should proceed at your own risk. Especially if you feel you might be offended by the way dark non con scenes are. There is a lot of throat grabbing and the blood play is crazy. As time goes on even Eliza, questions her sanity with liking some of of these acts. These two became intense so be prepared.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
With this author, it’s the teasing of other characters. Sometimes that’s what keeps dragging me back in to the other series. Lila, who you met briefly in Cruel Bully SA and is Eliza’s sister, she had a little situation with Luca Morrone. For a minute I wish I could pause Eliza and Adrik’s story and say go back to her and Luca what’s going on here. I’m ready for what’s to come there. We saw familiar faces from the series as all the families came together against Adrik. So it was nice to see some of the characters again.

OVERALL:
Was I entertained? Yes
Did I like the story? Yes
If a series, would I read/continue with the other books in the series,? Yes, but this is the final book in the series.

TRIGGERS: Graphic killing, rape, childhood trauma from assault, non con, forced intimacy, captive

NOTES: Virgin heroine, no ow/om drama, sexual blood play, little daddy kink, little breeding kink

****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.

Four dark stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wow. This was a dark, gritty book. It has very intense scenes, some non con, and it's just generally really dark. It's not my favorite book from Bianca Cole but I did really enjoy reading it!

Eliza and Adrik are in an arranged marriage... but Adrik steals her away to marry her sooner, and in the process he shoots and kills her father. That same night he consummated their vows.

"Once she is mine, I will utterly destroy any fight she has and leave her a shell of the woman she once was. Eliza has no chance against a monster like me."

Adrik is one of the more evil antiheros I've read about. He does (somewhat) redeem himself. Kind of. Regardless, Eliza falls for him anyway. This isn't a sweet romance so heed the triggers. It DOES have romance though so don't let that hold you back from reading it!

important bits:
virgin heroine
touch aversion (H)
arranged marriage
kidnapping/captivity
no OM/OW
no cheating
HEA & epilogue ♡

triggers and content warnings:
rape
noncon
trauma from childhood
blood play
daddy kink
breeding
choking
anal

length: 364 pages, on KU.

Well, didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The H was too much of an asshole and the h was having the same ol body-betraying-syndrome where she hate him but her body love him. The build up of their romance was meh too, to the point where I was confused how they fell for each other. The H treated the h like a whore and the h wanted him dead 90% of the time. The H was messed up in the head that's for sure and the whole drama was so so.

The scene where the H cut the h and she bleed and they both love blood so much was not my kind of tea. Daddy kink was out of the blue ass well and I cringed a bit whenever the H demanded the h or even when the h has the initiative to call him daddy. Not a huge fan of daddy kink tbh (the H was the same age as the h and that made it even more weird).

The ending was okay, the H jumped in front of the h when h's bro was shooting at her and suddenly he professed his undying love (pun intended) then when he recovered they were all lovey dovey. Confused me a lot.

Overall an okay book, not a fan of extra abusive H.

Overall Opinion :
I have been waiting for this book for a long time! Ever since I read about Adrik and Eliza and how their story began in the last book , I knew I had to have it. Also I really expected a lot more. The one thing that hooked me about this author was her heroes. They are so intense! Another fact that I liked was that her heroines were no pushovers either. They were not huge fighters but never rolled over too and I loved that .

But in this book, Eliza was a huge huge doormat. The way she just gave in to adrik , no matter what he did? It repulsed me. There were so many things she could have fought with him about but the most she did was reprimand him once at the end. Like I said, maybe I expect a lot more but still.

This one was a good one time read for me because I got to meet other characters by this author That I loved a lot!

This is the seventh and final instalment in the Chicago Mafia Doms series. While it wasn't my favourite in this series, it was a solid finale to an interesting storyline which wrapped up all the loose ends with peace finally settling on Chicago (for now).

I've read everything by Bianca Cole as I love a dark mafia romance. And while the Boston series is my favourite overall, I did enjoy the families in Chicago! And I really like the syndicate spin off series which brings a lot of the mafia families together from each of her series to date! So if you haven't read anything by this author before I'd recommend getting stuck in...

However, be sure to read the trigger warnings as all of her books feature an over-the-top possessive and dark hero who wants the heroine no matter the costs. And they're not gentle (I'll just say that).

Adrik and Eliza's story is sure to inspire strong feelings in the reader and keep you right on the edge of your seat. My heart ached for Eliza and well, Adrik is the kind you've got to be willing to play the long game with because he will truly send your thoughts and feeling spinning. I found their dark and emotionally raw story totally consuming. I am electing to post a candid review.

This is part of the Chicago Mafia Dons series each book can be read as a standalone with a villain (that we hate to love) and the girl who changes his heart all together forcing him to see things another way.
So, buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a deliciously story 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, arranged marriage, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe love. By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
Adrik sexy as all get out villain on the crazy side with no heart know as the monster but we all know that monsters are not born things in their life make them be the monsters they are and this sexy man isn’t an exception he witness his mother’s murder, rape, things done to her body by a man who escaped a mental institution and it traumatized him so he didn’t speak for two years however, born to a father who really didn’t understand or care to understand so beating him daily because he wouldn’t speak then treated like he was nothing, made to feel like that daily so fast forward to now we have the monster. Eliza intelligent on her way to becoming a doc. or so she thought until her father gave her hand in marriage to a monster who is know for his cruelty, his inability to love or care for anyone else, extremely selfish and her papa offered her up so forced into marriage, virginity taken by force, rules provided and just basic meanness at the hands of her husband if that isn’t enough she watched her husband murder her father in front of her without thinking or care her brain has yet to catch up to the fact her papa is dead. Then taken from her sister and brothers told she will never see them again, locked in a room in her childhood home and repeatedly taken without her permission all because she is his wife the problem is her body loves what he does to it however, her mind can’t catch up and each time she thinks she see some light in him well he proves her wrong although, she keep trying to find something about her husband that is redeemable. Adrik for the first time in his life feels something more, something he can’t explain when he is with his wife and he finds that she has consumed everything his thoughts, his dreams, his feelings, his love (shhhh he isn’t yet to admit that) so when her brother’s have her kidnapped brought back to them they want her to help set him up but can she actually go through with setting up the father of her baby…..yes he is a monster but he is her monster neither of them realized how much the other had changed until her brother decided to attempt to kill her instead of her husband and of course the protective instinct to keep her safe he jumps in front of the bullet taking it for her but he has changed their route completely can she find it in her heart to forgive him, do she love him, he informed her that he took that bullet for her because he loved her in his own messed up kind of way or should I say the only way he knew considering he was never shown love, will she forgive her brother’s for trying to kill her can they be a family again, and can there be happiness for the two of them considering how they started out?.

Here’s the thing, I have a hard line on Non-con and how it can be successfully handled without causing the potential reader their own traumatic experience. My reasons are that any MMC that willingly and actively forces himself on the MFC without her consent is not a hero, and should not be romanticized as one. I can not and will not encourage a perspective that diminishes the effects real life non-con can have on a person even in a fantasy world.

But Adrik was never supposed to be a hero, he is without any doubt the main antagonist and primary villain of the entire series. He is already a nonredeemable character, so no matter what he does, he can’t make up for his wickedness towards any of the characters, but most importantly, the MFC.
This series by Bianca Cole is an incredible series that typically deals with darker material and situations so be aware of the TW and put lighter books in between each of these books, so you don’t become overwhelmed with all the dark, depraved, and out right viciousness between characters throughout this series.

5 ⭐️s= Perfect story, exciting, engrossing, well developed complex characters, solid plot with few to no holes, descriptive environments and place settings, great mystery elements, realistic dialogue, believable reactions and behaviors, loved this story so much I’d buy it.

4 ⭐️s= Great story, highly entertaining and enjoyable, exciting storyline, well developed characters and settings, a few discrepancies but nothing that can’t be overlooked. Believable actions and reactions, realistic dialogue, a book I would consider buying.

3 ⭐️s= Good but not great story, noticeable discrepancies, grammatical and or spelling errors, undeveloped characters or unbelievable behaviors but still readable. Nothing majorly wrong with the story, just not interesting enough for me to continue. Would not buy the book.

2 ⭐️s= Not offended by the story, but not interested enough to finish. Unbelievable characters, poor writing, many mistakes, big holes or discrepancies, many spelling or grammatical errors, characters not believable, unlikeable or TSTL.

1 ⭐️= Offensive, extremely poor writing, horrible characters, victimization, gaslighting, blatant abuse, unnecessary violence, child endangerment, or any other highly objectionable behaviors by Main characters. Would never buy this book, and do not recommend it to anyone.

Another wonderful, riveting and exciting addition to Mafia Dons Series
I would not have thought that the books in this series could possibly get any better and yet this was simply phenomenal in every sense of the word, the characters had been written simply fantastically and the actual plot behind the supposed insane was cold, hard and calculating and hits you with things you could not possibly imagine.
Adrik’s name is well known to the Bratva and to many he is considered to be insane and, in most instances, this would be right, however his family of sorts have completely under-estimated the hate and the revenge he has buried so deep inside since the murder of his mother at the age of six. What he was forced to watch and endure at the hands of the animal that broke into their home was unspeakable, it changed him irrevocably deep inside and has made him as merciless if not more so.

When Eliza had been told she would be marrying Adrik within two months she knew it was a business arrangement and he made her totally aware that all she was for was an heir and to keep out of his way, she could see the monster within but not even she could foresee the whirlwind he would reap her family and the cartel and many others within their community with.
She is put through living hell and she knows that she has to survive and that there is a reason for his cruelty and when he is shot and recovering, he lets slip his childhood and suddenly her husband begins to make a little more sense, the empathy she would never have envisioned feeling starts to grow and their interactions begin to change and Adrik is at a loss, he has never known feelings like this before.
This is a wonderful read and I guarantee that you will never see the real traitors that she would never have anticipated and this is the ultimate betrayal that she cannot forgive or forget.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

“Dark Crown” is the 7th book in the ‘Chicago Mafia Dons’ series by Bianca Cole. I haven’t read the other books in the series, which is unusual for me because I do tend to like to read things in order. However, I can tell you from my personal experience, that you can read and understand this story as a complete standalone.

Adrik is considered the ‘black sheep’ of the ruling family of the Russian Bratva in Chicago. He makes a deal with the head of the Mexican Cartel on North American soil to marry that man’s eldest child – Eliza. She’s a smart young woman and a medical school student. Eliza always knew someday she’d be married off to suit the interests of her family, but when she meets her intended, she correctly realizes he’s a man without a soul. Adrik has been brilliantly playing a long game, cultivating an image within his family that couldn’t be further from the truth. Whereas they think he’s a drunken, dissolute waste of space, he's actually smarter and more cunning than all of them. Nobody is prepared for all that Adrik has planned … and neither was I. Make sure you pay attention to the various alliances, because at times it has the potential to get a little confusing.

There are lots of dark, delicious and downright horrifying scenes and surprises in this book. Some of the steamy scenes are all of those things at the same time. (As always, make sure you take the trigger warnings seriously). Adrik is a seriously messed up guy, and when you find out what he endured as a child, it’s no surprise. The only type of person in the world who could possibly save him from the darkness is an incredibly strong and resilient woman like Eliza. When you start reading this book, you get pulled into the story so effectively that you can’t quite stop turning the pages, even when part of you might want to. The conclusion is suitably dramatic, and it all left me intrigued enough to want to go back and read this series from the beginning. Adrik does something big to redeem himself, and does demonstrate change, but it would have been nice to see a little more of he and Eliza interacting as a couple in their ‘regular’ world.

Dark Crown is book seven in Chicago Mafia Dons. This book is a mafia arranged marriage romance involving a forced marriage, dark themes and certain subjects matters that may upsetting to readers. It's a standalone but intertwines with other books in the series. It has no cliffhanger and a happily-ever-after ending. It's beautifully crafted with well developed characters. The story draws you in from the first chapter and keeps you hooked right up until the end. It's fast paced, intense, dark, and twisted. Another remarkable book by Bianca Cole and great ending to a phenomenal series. This amazing series wraps up with Adrik and Eliza. It's filled with suspense, drama, danger, violence, hatred, lies, greed, lust, enemies, secrets, deception, anger, fear, darkness, light, hurt, emotions, passion, power, control, heartaches, survival, mystery, betrayal, twists and turns, family issues, pain, alliances, torture, savagery, murder, hatred, bloodshed, resentment, rape, madness, mental, psychologically and physical abuse, redemption, love and chalk loads of steam.
Adrik is a wounded soul and suffered a lot as child which shaped is adult life and caused him to be a evil vile man. He is considered as the black sheep of the Russian Bratva Volkov family. He makes a deal with Don of the Estrada Cartel to marry his oldest daughter Eliza. The family thinks that he's a sociopath. He wants the Estrada crown which is rightly belongs to Eliza but believes once they are married it gives him the right lead Estrada Cartel. Two months prior to their wedding day he forces her down the aisle, then drags her to a club where he shoots her father dead right in front of her eyes. The man is an animal, savage, and twisted and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Adrik Volkov is a walking psycho everywhere he goes there’s chaos. Eliza Estrada knows the first time she meets him there’s a scary, dark devil hiding behind his handsome face and expensive suit. How could her who her father has promised her to him? Wow what an action-packed story right from the moment he marries Eliza he murders her father a few hours after they’re married. Eliza sees Adrik as her enemy, her husband and her captor, but one she’s starting to have unwanted feeling for. All Adrik wants is the Estrada Cartel, sons, and a wife who obeys him, but what he gets is Eliza a strong independent young woman who needs to learn her place in his dangerous world. Eliza tries to find redeeming qualities in her husband, her captor, the man, the monster she’s falling in love with, the man who will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
A captivating dark mafia romance story where we see the darkness the inside Adrik, the man he’s kept hidden from his family for years, the violence in his life and his childhood has left behind a broken heart and a wounded soul. A man of deep deception. This an emotional gripping story between Eliza and Adrik will keep you on the edge. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the 7th and final story in the Chicago Mafia Dons and we get the story of Adrik and Eliza. We have read about parts of their story in the other stories in the series but to actually read their stories puts this story at the top for me. Adrik is a monster with no heart who does not care for anyone, is brutal, mean, demanding who has a great plan to betray and cause harm to those around him. Adrik has made an arrangement to marry Eliza Estrada only to murder her father, push her down the isle at gunpoint, make their marriage real in a unforgivable way and takes over the Cartel from her brothers. Eliza has been studying to become a doctor and is forced to stop and finds herself in one horrible situation after another. Along the way she discovers why Adrik is the way he is and they start to become a real couple surrounded by darkness. The details of Adrik’s past are dark and pure hatred that made him who is today. With Eliza by his side she hopes to bring down some of his walls to help heal him. When the other Dons are pulled into Adrik’s plans they try to end him, Adrik has a few surprises for them and in the end how they find common ground is a perfect ending to this series! Garbage

Try as I might to enjoy Bianca Cole’s stories, it just seems like one is always worse than the other. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think she was a middle school-aged girl who hasn’t grasped the concept of grammar - or the English language - at all. She’s also terrible at introducing characters into a scene, and expects the reader to just go along with her sloppy storytelling.

This book was no different from her others. Terrible storytelling, cringy dialogue, and lackluster characters.

The MMC was boring at best. Perhaps that has to do with Miss Cole’s lack of character development. It’s hard to understand someone when you’re given little to work with. The MFC was no better, just as boring and uninteresting as her male counterpart.

This story was so much sloppier than the others I’ve read (about the academy), and it quickly became a DNF 19% of the way.

All of her stories need a dedicated editor because they are all over the place. It’s like she’s writing in stream of consciousness mode and expects her readers to just go along with whatever is being tossed out. Sure, we like spice, but we also like our stories and characters to have depth as well.

This author, as well as her books, have officially entered my “do not read” list.

Eliza is told by her father that she is to leave medical school and be married, he has a man already picked out, Adrik. Eliza speaks her mind but yet knows when to keep quiet. Adrik surprises her with his willingness to give her some allowances, yet he's just as domineering and controlling as the rest of the men in her world. Adrik seems like an emotionless, cold hearted man. Right at the beginiing this book has violence and action. It's pretty dark starting out and continues throughout the book. There is some content that may be triggering for some such as the rough handling of women, the forcing of women and general violence toward women. I am sure some people will not be able to handle that content however there is more to the story. I enjoyed reading about the final change in attitude of Adrik. There were a couple of twists to the story that I did not see coming. There is not much lightness in this story, there really isn't any humor.

THIS IS LITERALLY A MASTERPIECE IN CHICAGO MAFIA SERIES۔۔۔🔥🔥🔥
A Dark Romantic Mafia Boss Book woth lots of twists and turns 🔥🔥🔥
Bianca I love the way you can turn your characters into best fiction characters 😍🔥
The Plot..The Story..Everything is at the perfect point..
The chemistry between Eliza and Adrik is on fire 🔥
I was desperately waiting for this novel.
If you like Antihero / Villain and Alpha heroes, you got the right book.
I love the way the story progressed..My favourite scene was the one when Adrik saved the Eliza by getting shot by Eliza's brothers.
You will meet the different characters from previous books and you will like it.
Bianca clear all the confusing point smoothly and beautifully.
Warning : It contains non consenual and forced scenes and some traumatic scenes..
But All hot scenes are awesome..Previously My favourite hero was Spartak but now it is replaced by one and only our alpha and villain hero Adrik 🔥
Its a guaranteed HEA with no cliffhanger

Eliza's father is head of the Estrada Cartel, he call her one afternoon to his office. What she learns is that her engagement has been arranged to Adrik Volkov, they are to wed in two months. Accept Adrik is not waiting that long, he takes her from her home and he marries her at gun point. He drags her to a club where father is and shoots him between his eyes and takes control of the cartel as her husband.

Adrik is not soft, he is hard and sadistic, and will take what he wants from Eliza. He keeps her chained to his bed until she can be trusted, if that never happens, so be it.

This is the last in the Chicago Mafia Dons series, Adrik is darker that than his uncle, Spartak. He will do what needs to be done to obtain what he wants, his place in the Chicago underworld. He has no care for those who get in his way. The chemistry between the two of them, is on the dark side, but hot non the less.

4 1/2 Stars

I frankly wasn't sure how the author was going to do it. Redeem an anti-hero who unalived the heroine's father in the previous book. It's not like her dad was a monster. A little cold, but not a horror show that deserved to die. So how was this author going to resolve this. Pretty darn well in my opinion. I also want to note right now the TWs are well noted so if any of these are problematic for you, don't read this book. I, on the other hand, was actually more interested in reading after knowing the TWs (don't judge me!). The only reason this is not a full five star review are a couple of continuity errors that made me stop reading and go back to review something because it didn't make sense. Great finale to the series.

This is the seventh and final book in the Chicago Mafia Dons series by Bianca Cole and what a read! Adrik Volkov is the head of the bratva, a cruel, brutal man. Eliza is the daughter of the leader of a cartel and he informs her a marriage has been arranged between her and Adrik, to take place in 2 months. Adrian doesn't want to wait, so kidnaps her and drags her to the altar and marries her. He then drags her in front of her father and kills him in front of her. This kind of sets the tone the marriage. This book is brutal, sizzling, steam, action packed, full of drama, twists, ugly turns, and more. These characters are so well written, the book grabs on and doesn't let go to the very, very end. All of this series is available to read for free with Kindle Unlimited. Binge read then all.

I was so stocked with reading this book I absolutely loved it, unfortunately this is book seven and the last for this fantastic series. Bianca Cole really brought this whole series to our homes and into our lives. There's triggers throughout this book, me personally I didn't mind them they just added extra personality to an epic Mafia story. I loved the characters Adrik and Eliza, with Eliza being forced to marry Adrik. Adrik doesn't have a heart he would not let anyone to touch him he ties them up before he gives it to them. I loved this emotional rollercoaster.

I can't believe that this is the last book in the series. It was such a good series and I am really glad that I read all of them. We will continue with characters in the University series which I need to start now.

This was Eliza and Adrik's story and boy is Adrik a cruel guy. From the beginning when she meets him he is just awful. Later as Eliza gets to know him you can see the better parts of him shining through even as he fights it. As she get to know him and what he went through to make him the way he is, you understand - it doesn't forgive what he has done but she can look past that and fall in love with him. The sexy times are truly hot and very enjoyable.

Dark crown is an arranged marriage dark mafia romance between Adrik and Eliza.
Eliza's father arranges her marriage to Adrik and as soon as she meets him she realizes he has no feelings.
Her fears are confirmed when he forces her to marry him before their arranged wedding date, then murders her father.
She does not want to give into him and his desires but he forces her to give into him by threatening her.She wants to know what made him inti the monster he is.
Will she find out before she does something she will regret or will it be too late?
This is a very dark romance with a lot of triggers.
Bianca cole is one of my favourite mafia romance authors.

He is a monster, she is beautiful, innocent and breakable....a match made in ???

Dark Crown is the seventh book in the Chicago Mafia Dons series and this one is fantastic but also different. The dark and violent arranged marriage story is about Eliza Estrada and Adrik Volkov. Read the trigger warnings as this book does have a number of things that some readers will find hard or objectionable almost from the start. There is violence, darkness, hate, possessiveness, secrets, scheming, forced marriage, and some Daddy/baby girl twisted and sadistic passion. Let's just say that Adrik is a sociopath and Eliza has no idea just what he has in store for her and her family.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Dark Crown by Biana Cole is Adrik and Eliza's story. This is part of a series, but the first I have read. It can be enjoyed as a standalone book.

Eliza's father is Mexican cartel and promises her hand to Adrik who is Russian bratva. Eliza is shocked and very unhappy with her father's choice. Adrik wants the sexy Eliza but not necessarily as a loving wife.

Adrik's plan is to make Eliza his and take over her father's cartel. But can he accomplish his goals and survive?

Dark Crown was a really sexy book. Adrik was a bit awful, and Eliza was certainly scared of him. This book is a bit dark, maybe some triggers that will disturb some readers but readers will hope Adrik and Eliza have a HEA.
