The first time it happened was a mistake. But what do you do when the first taste isn’t enough? When you can’t get them out of your head, out from under your skin? From the outside Dominic Mathers is a successful, respectable, and happily married man. Except appearances can be oh so deceptive, can’t they? When he walks in on his stepdaughter in a more than compromising position, he doesn’t think, he just acts. Crossing a line. One that can’t be undone. And one that neither of them will willingly step back from. One touch, one look, one moan…. Neither of them can resist temptation when it presents itself so deliciously but as they burn in their own damnation, they’re not the only ones with secrets. As the sins mount up, and the lies grow with it, the stakes get higher and higher. When the house of cards comes crashing down, will they survive together or will their sin burn them entirely?

Reposting my review because it was deleted, thanks goodreads!
This is the very first book I've read by this author and it won't be my last. I was expecting pure smut and no real plot-- but man, this author delivered on the plot! She delivered on the smut too, my goodness.
The way the two were introduced- when Eden was having "alone time"- was filthy and I loved it. Their whole dynamic was loveable because I could relate to both Eden and Dominic. I generally don't go for books with a married hero... but this one was dirty, forbidden, smutty goodness I couldn't put down.
safety: virgin heroine age gap (21h, 42H) stepdad/stepdaughter OW drama daddy kink/breeding/praise/anal play HEA ♡
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I am a huge age gap and forbidden romance junkie, so once I spotted this book, I knew I had to read it. Overall, I thought it was an ok read. There is a nice combination of steam, angst, drama and twists that flows throughout the story. Personally, I would have liked this story to start off differently but that is only my opinion, and I could sort of understand why the author decided to go that route but still I was disappointed. The characters were OK. Eden and Dominic had solid chemistry and generated plenty of naughty heat. I wish I had more of an emotional connection between them but really for the most part it was surface and physical. Again, A pretty good read if you just want to satisfy your taboo, steam craving but as for fulfilling your romance craving it's not going to do it. I am freely posting a frank review.
This is a short & steamy taboo between stepdad & stepdaughter, both adults with consented spanking & plenty of Daddy kink. Dominic & Eden both lack love & appreciation from the same women so seek it in each other. What started out as a mistake soon turned there world upside down.
Author says this is a hot, steamy, explicit story. Definitely didn't exaggerate at all 🥵 Not a book to read when you have a dead battery or your mother around lol
I’ve been trying to read this book for weeks and have had such a hard time getting into it even though it was a plotline I absolutely wanted to read. That disconnect was not the book’s fault but entirely an issue within myself that has made reading and concentrating on full stories a chore for me lately.
Having said that, this book was spicy! And I loved every scene of it. It was graphic without being over done. Mild in creativity but still intense in that the characters were very into it and each other, which does suck the reader in. Even for someone like me that kept putting this book down to wander mentally. I did enjoy the plot of the affair between stepfather and stepdaughter. It was sweet and loving in a way. Even though it is taboo and illicit, I would definitely say this is a romance. I absolutely wanted to see this couple end up together. I wish there had been more chapters of their chemistry and them trying to make it work before the exposure of their relationship. But it was sufficient as is.
There is very little excitement in the story other than the affair and the reveal. There is a very minor subplot of embezzlement and an abusive cheating mother (FMC’s mother). It really only adds to this couples HEA in the end as they get their comeuppances.
I honestly wish this book was longer. As this is a first from this author for me, I enjoyed it so much despite my difficulties in reading it straight through. I will definitely look into more of this author’s works. Enjoy.
This book is awful. This author’s bio says she has a degree in English and American literature. I don’t know what they teach in said degree, but I’m guessing that grammar isn’t part time of it. I know that typos can happen, but not this much. The book is riddled with grammatical errors and it makes me wonder if it went through any kind of editing and proofreading at all. I’m glad I didn’t have to spend money on this thanks to kindle unlimited trail period.
Eden gets caught pleasuring herself by her stepfather, and the two decide to cross that supposedly uncrossable line. Will it be worth the lies and secrets they'll have to keep?
Check your trigger warnings before diving into this book, because there are a few.
I greatly enjoyed the taboo aspect of this book, and the parts that are supposed to add in that shock value. This book was right up my alley and it didn't disappoint when it came to content. Dominic and Eden have a very steamy relationship and the added aspect of their step relationship made everything that much spicier.
I had a huge issue with the chapter involving Eden pleasuring herself. The entire section was chaotic at best and the writing was all over the place. It almost felt like the author was gearing up for the really good parts and forgot to make sure everything before it flowed well too.
This quick, and extremely smutty taboo book fills all the erotica boxes. It’s so 🔥 it’ll set your Kindle ablaze 🥵 personally I did wish it had more character development, especially about Eden’s mom. Our MC has put up with her all these years, seemingly never questioned how horrible she treats her daughter. But that’s a personal preference ♥️
Just something about a taboo forbidden romance that gets me going!! It’s provocative!! This was hot af - plot was eh but the smutt?? Was smuttingggggg. 3/5 for plot but 4/5 stars for spice.
I liked this book but found the pacing just a bit weird for me. That is not to say that it is poorly paced. I personally just found the pacing a bit off and would have enjoyed it more if it had been differently paced. Definitely recommend if the synopsis interests you. I am interested to read more by this author!
Respectfully, I need to floss my brain with a power washer. This wasn’t just taboo—it was a front-row seat to the kind of stepdad-daughter age-gap chaos that makes the Targaryens look tame. And Katee Robert? Please scoot. Ellie Sanders is moving up at high speeds with zero breaks.
Stepdad taboo means age gap. And age gap means power dynamics, danger, and deliciously blurred lines. If you’re not into it, look away. But if you are, like me? This book launches you straight into the eye of the storm with zero foreplay—literally and narratively. This isn’t erotica for the faint of heart. This is for the readers who like their morality messy, their age gaps wide enough to park a semi...truck. If it doesn’t make your inner voice scream "ma'am, you need weekly therapy sessions", is it even taboo?
First, we meet Eden. Sweet, smart, college girl Eden—working hard, staying humble, making adult decisions… until she starts making very adult noises, with buzzing sounds, and stepdaddy Dominic catches the whole show. No build-up. No subtle tension. Few pages in and she’s riding solo, while he’s watching from the shadows like a sinner. BOTH OF THEM have zero shame. There is no hesitation, only full-throttle "oops, you caught me—what now?" energy. It’s full voyeurism, and he’s the one who gets the show and a great happy ending.
Dominic is a fantasy wrapped in broad shoulders, with a restraint held together by duct tape. His actual wife is a garbage human—Edens' bio-mom—mean, manipulative, the kind who’d burn down her own house for drama. She treats Eden like shit because she looks like her father. Meanwhile, Dominic treats Eden like the treasure her mother never saw. He stands up for her, supports her dreams, drops money like a sugar daddy without the creepy vibes (okay, maybe creepy. Okay, okay, it is creepy since we know the main plot of the novel), and somehow manages to stay emotionally grounded through all the madness.
Is there a plot? Somewhere buried under the mountain of orgasms. It crawls in around the 80% mark, gasping for air between the relentless rounds of stepfather smut. And yes, it gets repetitive—same tempo, same dirty talk, same positions recycled through every surface of the house. Smut in the kitchen. Smut in the shower. Smut on the couch. Smut on furniture that probably wasn’t designed to withstand that level of abuse. Occasionally, it would be a different position and experience, which was a nice change of pace. Lol
Could it have been a novella? Absolutely. Did I mind? Not really. Is it cringy? Oh yeah. Will I forget it? Not a chance in hell. Was I emotionally disturbed and deeply satisfied? Abso-fucking-lutely.
I hovered between three and four stars, as if weighing sins on the scales of justice. Three says it was decent. I may or may not forget it. Four says it was good, and I’ll remember this book. I know damn well Good Girl left a mark that will need a deep cleaning.
So yeah—four stars. Shamefully. Shamelessly. And with every damn ounce of my unholy, dirty ass heart.
I received a free copy of the book via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review
This book is definitely good, and it was my type of book, but some things just didn't click with me.
It's a story about a girl having a secret relationship with her stepfather. It's about secrets, forbidden love and hard relationships... and lots, lots of sex.
We meet our heroine while she gives herself pleasure . She gets caught by her stepdad, so they both decide to cross an uncrossable line. Here is where the story starts.
Eden - with a name so pure, is the little girl. She definitely has some good qualities and is not some sort of doormat. She is young but is not naïve or innocent, and that's what I like about her.
Dominic is a silver fox, according to his girl, and a total daddy, with the exception of some red flags, he is a pretty interesting character.
The thing about both of them is that they are mediocre at best, the whole story is meh. It has good and sexy parts, but it doesn't impress. However, it's still enjoyable to read, and it's a fast read as well. The writing is good and so is the pace.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Eden is a twenty-one-year-old woman attending college and the very last person that she wants to be like is her mother. Watching her marriage to Dominic she knows that the picture-perfect marriage that they show to world is a far cry from reality. Never before that night had she looked at her stepfather in aby way but after he catches her in a compromising position everything changes, and they are avoiding each other but for how long can they avoid what happened that night or the feelings that they now try so hard to bury?
Dominic knew that night that he should turn away and forget what he had seen but for one moment he gave in to a lust he had no idea he felt. Now he has spent two months avoiding not only Eden but how she made him feel. His marriage to her mother is anything but perfect and after what Eden gave him in one night makes him want more. Is this the beginning of a real love?
Although this is the first book, I have read by this author I have to say that I loved it. It was seriously Taboo and very steamy but the romance between Dom and Eden was really sweet, plus her mum was an easy character to hate. 4* Read.
Good Girl was my first book by this author and it was so good! I hope she continues to wire more books like this!! I couldn’t put it down. Let me tell you this book starts with one spicy bang! Dominic is married to Eden’s mother (and her mother is the worst). Eden and Dominic have make you sweat chemistry. They know what they’re doing is wrong but it’s so right at the exact same time. The love and support Daddy Dominic has for Eden will melt the pages. There were a couple situations where I thought they’d end up breaking but it only made them stronger and grow closer. I can’t wait to see what else Ellie brings us I. The future but I can’t wait!!
If you can handle a the “daddy” kink, and the taboo of step father/daughter go ahead and grab yourself a rag and read away… this book was 🥵. It started off with such and didn’t let up. It barely had a plot but if you’re reading this book, you’re not reading for a plot.
1.5 ⭐️ I love age gap and stepfather tropes but nothing in this one is developed well and there are a lot of errors, I ended up skimming and both issues got worse and worse (or I got more irritated with them, more likely).
Needed a pallet cleanser and this definitely did the job. I also hated the mom. Her part was written perfectly so anyone who read this will also get grumpy
DNF@30% I was in the mood for something naughty, so I figured why not mom's husband. I was enjoying myself up until he said he still sees her as his daughter. After that line I was grossed out and couldn't continue.
This was the worst piece of shit I've read so far this year and that's putting it lightly. I am not sure how this book got the reviews it got because it was just horrendous. I mentally checked out after 50-some percent and was just reading for the heck of it because I've already gotten this far.
For starters, the heroin was the most insufferable girl i ever had the opportunity to read about. she had this obsession where she didn't want people to look at her as a spoiled brat which is understandable but it gets to a point where she's working this shitty job while going to school and everyone is telling her to quit because its affecting her schooling that she's not even paying for and she went on this rant about how misunderstood she is..... girl be fucking for real.
She has this obsession with her stepfather which was never explained why or when it started, i would've loved to have known more because it came to me that she was just lustful over him. She gets into relationships with other men not wanting to have sex with them because she wants to save her virginity for her stepfather. Then she started complaining when the guys wanted to get physical with her, LIKE GIRL STAY SINGLE IF YOU'RE GOING TO WASTE THESE MEN'S TIME.
I hated the way the author portrayed her has a horny woman who can't do anything else but think about sex when she's a grown 21-year-old adult, GET A FUCKING GRIP. She spent 99% of the book with her legs open getting fucked then had a problem with people thinking she's a slut..... well no shit sherlock
And lastly, the biggest issue I had with this book was Dominic, what a man you are Dominic. Letting your stepdaughter suck you off because your wife has been holding out on you..... way to go man. This man's dick was the main substance for his brain because he spent the entire book thinking with it. This man infantilizes that girl by calling her Lolita..... ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS....... the way he kept bringing up the fact that she was his stepdaughter while fucking her or after they were intimate made my skin crawl.
I can't even count the number of times he called her "My Lolita" and how mad it drove me
"She’s a virgin. My little Lolita. My angelic minx."
"My little Lolita?"
"My Lolita."
"My sweet Lolita. My beautiful stepdaughter."
"My little Lolita wanted me to train her didn’t she?"
"My naughty little stepdaughter."
Please make it stop, that word is going to haunt me for the rest of my life.

Honestly, I just read it for the filth and reveled in it. You just read this book for the smut, dirty, dirty, smut. Nothing else.
I enjoyed it. I was in a depressive book slump and I couldn't read anything else. So I decided to read this book. It was an extreme taboo between a stepfather and a stepdaughter. Stepdaddy was still married to the mom, who was a grade A b!tch tbh, I won't lie.
It started with one tempting night and then, EXPLOSIONS OF OVARIES. NOTHING ELSE. Big, big age gap between 21 and 42 years old. If you are looking for a plot, there is little, because you will roll in filthy yummy daddy and taboo smut okay?!
The only thing that only I was meh about was the over usage of Daddy, but you know it's freaking, honestly. I had a good time with the secret fucking around. So don't judge me. This book uplifted my spirits and ovaries and that's all that matters. Temporary serotonin. Sue me. :)
- Taboo Romance step dad-step daughter -Age gap 21-42 - 🍑 play - a bit of breeding kink - Virgin FMC
Star level: 5 stars Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Trope: taboo stepfather/ stepdaughter, age gap, virgin h, possessive H, forbidden Trigger: taboo, mention of rape, cheating Fav quotes: “I love you Eden. I didn’t mean to start this. It was a mistake but by god is it the best mistake of my life and if you want me, if you want to get married, hell if you want me to father your children then I’m there, for every second, every minute you’ll give me.” About the book: i went into this book blind all I knew is it had smutt, taboo, and age gap. I wasn’t expecting much of a plot but the author delivered and I wasn’t disappointed. Eden mother and stepfather have been married for 8 years and the marriage has been on the rocks for years. Eden and her stepfather have never looked at each other in that light he’s just always had her back like a father while her mother brushed her off and treated her like a burden. One day Dominic walks in on Eden and let’s just say it gets hot and heavy from there. And they are able to keep the secret hidden very well until it’s too late. But it all works out in the end and they alter their HEA. The mom and Tim are no good I will say that’s. I wasn’t expecting much from this book but I was so shocked how good it was.
DNFed on page 109. I was enjoying the story itself, but the grammatical errors kept me from enjoying the story fully. I couldn't help but notice all the constant run-on sentences, missing commas in unnecessary and dependent clauses, missing vocative commas, missing apostrophes for possessives, missing apostrophes in contraction words, etc.
As for the actual story, it was entertaining enough. I would have loved for the story to have felt like there was something actually on the line. It was beginning to fall flat at my stopping point. I also didn't feel like the story was that taboo... 👀
P.S. I'm going to assume Timothy and Terri are the antagonists of the story, and were the ones laundering money from Dominic.
Oh. My. This is the first book from a new author to me that I have read and I bloody loved it! It's sweet, spicy, utterly filthy and full of smutty taboo goodness. That introduction to Eden and Dominic 🥵. I fell hard for these two. What a beautiful couple they are. For all the taboo dirty goodness then give this a read. I'm definitely going to be looking at the rest of your books Ellie. What a great introduction to your words ❤️
Less than ten pages in and there’s a shit ton of grammatical errors already, plus he’s currently shoving his dick down her throat so even a slight build up to the action is out of the question.
Twenty percent in, the taboo is just not taboo-ing, the grammatical errors are grating on my nerves, and they are now in their “it wasn’t a mistake, let’s continue to hook up” stage and it’s all reading like a bad porno.
400 pages of this? Can’t do it. Sadly, my second dnf of the year. 😫
Overall: Boring POV: first person (both) Trope: Stepfather/ Stepdaughter, age gap, taboo romance MC's names: Dominic and Eden H likable? so so h likable? so so H/h virgin? the h is a virgin First time they kiss: 18% First time they sleep together: 50% Steamy? a little OW/OM drama? yes H/h cheat? he doesn't cheat on the h, but he cheats on her mother Did I skip pages? no Big secrets? no Did I cry? no Did I smile? no Did I laugh? no Cliffhanger? no HEA? yes Epilogue? yes Recommend? no
