Work Sucks #3

How to Fake it

Rate this book
He calls her his secret weapon. And she likes it.

Sin made it back from Russia unharmed… for the most part.

Being his faithful assistant, El agreed to use her photographic memory as a favor to Sin, and memorize the encoded list he retrieved before permanently destroying the physical evidence. So where do they go from here?

The friendship they built during those months of long-distance phone calls has survived and El is grateful. But now her family is visiting for the weekend and she has a choice to make.

Allow Sin to be her pretend boyfriend or admit to her judgmental family that she’s lonely and single again. Sin is eager to repay her favor and torment his dorky little assistant, but El is weary of taking things too far and losing control of the situation.

As much as she hates to admit it, she finds Sin attractive, and not just because of his muscles. But she can be professional about this, right? They only need to pretend for one weekend.

Will their relationship reach a point of no return? How many times can she feel his hands on her without losing herself in the moment? El has always been reserved and closed off, but Sin’s boisterous personality might be the one thing that makes her comfortable with losing control.

How long can El fake it before she wants Sin for real?

Trigger Spice warning! This story contains sexual content, coarse language, and inappropriate humor. This is part three of an opposites attract, workplace romance novella series and is approximately a 4 hour read.

Hi everyone!

I'm a cat lady, anime lover, and Pepsi addict!

I'm definitely the type of person who becomes way too invested in the world and characters that live in books! When I finish a great series (ex. Tigers Curse, Six of Crows) I literally don't know what to do with myself.

A great and terrible feeling that I keep wanting again and again!

I strive to write the type of stories that I personally love reading. My focus is on building believable relationships between characters and using action in the best ways possible to keep you hooked!

My first 2 books in my trilogy are available on Amazon (and Kindle Unlimited!)

“You’re driving me crazy sweetheart,”

El and Sin truly have my heart. The romance burns a little brighter and comes to a head in this one because these two have been slowly pulling together since book one. There’s a touch of steam in this one, but this book has so much suspense and fun and just entertainment in it that I’m not even worried about the spice.

Honestly I feel like this series is my new favorite show, and I’m already so excited to find out what will come next. If you enjoy boss/assistant to friends to face date to lovers with suspense and a side of funny then I absolutely recommend this series!

Now hand over book four. I need to know what happens to my favorite duo 😂

What can I say about this book that does it justice? This series of books has so far been one of my favorite reads ever! The simmering chemistry between El and Sin has been the best slow burn. Nerdy El has been Sin’s assistant, friend, and buffer through the first two books And you can see the crush she is harboring grow with each installment. El has a sense of duty to her job, but a bigger pull towards Sin and her growing feelings she is keeping at bay. We see that these feelings may not be as one sided as El seems to think they are throughout this book. Between fake relationships, crazy women, and family dinners we get to see the relationship build to something new…and I can’t wait for the next installment.

I went through this one in one morning, I couldn't put it down. This one had all the butterflies, action and steam you would expect from a cinema rom-com.
The relationship between the characters was nicely built in the previous books and the pay-off is right here!

Loved the airport scene, had me giggling out loud.

The supporting cast is maybe a bit cliché, but it's to be expected, and that's the fun of reading such books.

The best thing about this book was that even though there was a lot of romance-focused content, there was also enough room for action and mystery and comedy.

I can't wait for the next one. So far, this is a story I would love to see on-screen. I can even imagine some of the actors that would suit the roles.

Hot boss, fake dating, what's a girl to do?

Okay okay okay. How To Fake It is the third in a contemporary-ish romance novella series. El is a nerdy girl who wears glasses and cardigans and works for a secret agency as a personal assistant to agent Sin - a smooth talking, hot shot who is hard to handle and needs serious reigning in.

In this installment, Sin agrees to be El's fake boyfriend for her family's sake. But the sexual tension has been building since book one and the chemistry is undeniable.

*spoiler alert* this is the first in this series where we finally get some spice and boy was it worth it. I am so excited for part 4!!

well…

So this was different. Not sure what I expected.

So this novella series took three books to tell the story. Which was very interesting, however very low spice.

I wonder if there will be more books cause we never did get an ending to the ongoing saga.

I loved the book

I loved the book, but the series is cut off. The author is not continuing it, so we never find out what happens I don't recommend reading it because there is no use the storie is never finished.

These are debut Novellas self published by a young author and I just want to say Good 👏 On 👏 Her 👏.

Her ideas are great. Her story line intrigued me. The problem I have with Novellas is they need to have an ending. These all were a continuation with no ending or resolution for the characters.

With a bit of editing, polishing and mentorship, she will write a great full length book one day. Go girl 👏
