Being a billionaire bad boy brings more trouble than it’s worth.

My business is my focus and helping vets is the gig.

It’s fulfilling and keeps me busy, but love decided to poke its nosy self into my life recently.

The pretty single mom at the bookstore down the way is way too much to ignore.

She’s stunning, smart, and has me pacing the floor wanting to know more about her.

It’s terrible that I’ve already fallen head over heels for her little one too. Me. A guy that wasn’t sure about family, and now it’s all I can think about.

When her ex shows up from jail and crashes on her couch, it’s a bit more than our budding relationship can handle.

A few more misunderstandings, mostly me trying to be helpful, and it’s looking like bachelor life is the life for me.

But I can’t get her out of my head. She’s haunting my thoughts and taking up my daydreams.

I’ve had my share of love affairs, but it feels like this one might be my final one.

Whatever troubles may come, I’m all in.

Not like I have a choice…

Hi! I’m Ali Parker, a USA Today bestselling author who has been writing contemporary and new adult romance for over a decade, creating heartfelt, swoony stories that give readers a place to escape and feel a little lighter. Every book I write starts with a simple “what if” and is crafted the old-school way; with imagination, long nights, too much coffee, and a deep love for storytelling (no AI here, just heart and a dedicated human team I treasure like family).

I left my career as a CPA to follow that calling, inspired by the power one great story can have to bring hope and joy. These days, I live in Tennessee with my husband (my real-life book boyfriend), our family, and my sweet grandbabies who make life even sweeter. When I’m not writing, I’m dreaming up new stories, crafting A LOT, and soaking up every moment with the people I love most. Oh, and drinking way too much coffee. Don’t judge.

Welcome to my stories, your escape, your adventure, and maybe even your next favorite love story.

“My Final Love Affair” is the 12th book in the ‘Bancroft Billionaire Brothers’ series by Ali Parker. Don’t worry if you’re not yet familiar with the series, because you can enjoy this story as a standalone. I will tell you that every book I’ve read in the series has been just as good as this one, and that’s saying a lot. The structure of this story is a little different from most, but don’t let that throw you at first, because it really does work beautifully.

Pierce is a good guy. He has a business constructing unique, special housing for homeless veterans. It’s meaningful work and fills his life. Trying to find the right woman is no longer a priority for him, and he’s OK with that. When he goes into a local bookstore to buy a gift, he’s startled to find a precocious little girl ‘working’ there. Charmed as he is by little Millie, her mother Meredith really takes his breath away. Meredith has been a single mom from the very start, working hard to provide her little girl with everything she needs. She’s just as interested in Pierce as he is in her, but in addition to her responsibilities for her daughter, her ex keeps coming around looking for help and handouts. Trust is not something that comes easy to her, and taking chances terrifies her.

This is an excellent story but it’s not a quick read, and the author takes great delight in cranking the emotional wringer! The chemistry between the two lead characters is intense, and their relationship feels authentic. There were times I wanted to hug each of them, and other times I wanted to reach into the book and shake them. There are a few subplots connected with the romantic storyline, and it all comes together beautifully. There are lighthearted moments to balance the serious ones, and secondary characters that added even more depth to the world in which Pierce and Meredith live.

A manly man with a good heart

This story of a single mom named Meredith, meeting a man who immediately accepted and bonded with her and her 5-year old daughter, Millie. Great!
But it both frustrated and entertained me.
I could not decide which emotion dominated more.
To my mind, the hot and cold games Meredith played, throwing tantrums over two really idiotic things, seemed to be very immature considering the fact that she is reportedly a woman accustomed to carrying the full responsibility of raising her daughter alone, while starting her own business with her friend.
As often happens, steamy scenes change to cold-shouldering and rejection in split seconds. Couples do things the wrong way around, such as becoming extremely intimate immediately, moving in together, getting engaged and married only much, much later, which leads to massive insecurity for both, break-ups, tears, distraught children, being influenced by heartfelt but Godless advice from friends, ongoing conflicts causing angst, while extending the story to double its size. Actually, I found the story to be repetitive.
Then, while reading, my pratical mind thinks about the protagonists soaking the bed by jumping on it straight from the hot tub, like children, and the strong possibility of slipping on wet tiles and breaking bones, and the way they regularly throw their clothes all over the floor, and don't ever mention nosy neighbours who witnessed the all-nighters. But the worst for me was the trailer rocking, with loud sounds, while a whole construction crew looked on and witnessed her walk of shame afterwards. How could she ever face them afterwards?
Millie is portrayed as a delightful little girl. I liked that she benefitted tremendously by being raised to love books in her mom's bookshop.
It it a story reflecting society's current normal standards. We wish them well.

So Much More Than A Love Story ❤

A truly amazing story that will take a piece of your heart and stay with you after the end. Pierce Harbor is the last of the illegitimate Bancroft brothers that has made his way successfully through life under their radar...or so it seems. Running his non profit Tiny Home Project of helping Vets to get a well deserved second chance at a normal life has been front and center for Pierce. That is until he steps into a children's bookstore looking for a baby shower. Single mom Meredith co owns a children's bookstore with her best friend and loves to see her five year old daughter, Millie, share her passion for books. There is a connection and a feeling of rightness not only for Pierce and Meredith but with Millie as well.

Their story is a slow burn, get to know you. Meredith has trust issues considering Millie's dad is a bad boy she should have stayed away from but has no regrets over the gift he gave her. Just when things are settling into place obstacles fall in their path that tests their limits of trust. Pierce and Meredith have to figure out if is their final love affair or go their separate ways.

I love that Ali Parker gives Pierce the ability to help his Veteran brothers and sisters to reclaim some sort of normalcy of life...I salute you. Millie also plays such a strong part of this story and will also steal a piece of your heart. His/her POV, no cheating, no cliffhanger and a HEA for this ready made family. A must read story where the characters feel real to life. Than you Ali Parker!!!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is the final book in The Bancroft Brother's Series by the best selling author, Ali Parker, and it's one that you won't want to miss. Pierce's life is going well. His non for profit firm is doing very well and he's helping to build tiny homes for veterans to live in whilst they get back on their feet and start working. But he has no one to share his life with which he wants very much. When he goes into a bookshop, close to where he is working, a cute little girl offers to help him find books for his half-brother's new baby. he learns that she is called Millie and that she's five as well as that she has one HOT mum called Meredith! The attraction between the two of them is mutual and both have every intention of discovering where this could go. Great repartee and chemistry between the two of them and they are having fun when her deadbeat ex, Cory, who is Millie's absentee father turns up like a bad penny wanting a roof over his head 'just for a few days'. What's going to happen to Pierce and Meredith's blossoming relationship? This is a very well written book that will keep you absorbed and turning page after page as you just 'have to' know what happens. Will Cory break up Meredith and Pierce, and win Millie's heart? Or is he going back to his life of crime? The characters are very believable and Ali writes so that you're 'pulled' into their world. A great read. I have loved reading every one of these books so much so, that I will be re-reading them as they are just so good. I received a reader's copy of the book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it

Pierce has a nonprofit building tinny homes for vets and helping them get on their feet. Meredith and her friend own and run a children’s bookstore. When Pierce needs a baby shower gift, he stops into the bookstore and meets Millie who is also Meredith’s daughter and helps him find a gift. Pierce asks Meredith out for a date after work, and they hit it off right away. But Meredith’s ex Cory who is also Millie’s dad comes back into her life and throws a curve ball into their relationship. Pierce is a patient man and knows Meredith is worth waiting for. Meredith has written a children’s book and isn’t sure if it's good enough to publish. Pierce and her best friend send it to a publisher behind her back and she doesn’t find out about it till she get an email from the publishing company wanting her book. Pierce’s cousin also throws a curve ball his way. All Pierce wants is to make Meredith his and be a father figure to Millie. Pierce has a big heart and is know as a fixer and wants a family like his brothers. This is another great read from Ali definitely a page turner!

A Bancroft Brothers Book. Pierce Bancroft is a a great addition to the Bancroft boys. He's a former marine and the owner of a construction company that builds homes for vets. He's single but has started yearning for a family like his brothers have. His heart skips a beat when he meets five year old matchmaker Millie. She uses her magic personality and introduces him to her single mom Meredith. They hit it off and things are going well. Their chemistry is off the charts and things get steamy pretty fast. Things change when Millie's father gets out of prison on drug dealing charges. He's bad news but Meredith's a good person who wants to help him have a relationship with his daughter and get back on his feet. Things go from bad to worst and there's plenty of angst and drama. A good book that's a quick and fun read with an engaging story line. I read a free advance copy via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.

Book 12: My Final Love Affair
5 stars
I received a free copy of the steamy full-length novel My Final Love Affair: A Bancroft Billionaire Brothers Novel: Book 12: Pierce and Meredith by Ali Parker and this review was given freely.
Enlightening and heartwarming with realistic characters and a passion project of paying it forward to help military veterans. This is the story of broken families and a former Marine, now a nonprofit builder of tiny home communities for military veterans, Pierce Harbor who followed his half-brothers in meeting Armand Bancroft’s requests to formally disassociate from the Bancrofts. But most importantly, it is a story of trust, love, new beginnings, and tough love.
Cute five-year-old Mille steels his attention while her mother Meredith steals his heart when a last-minute baby shower gift for his brother Taylor and sister-in-law places Pierce in their bookstore.
Contains moments of steam and a few surprises.

Book 12

If you have never tead a book from Ali, now is always a good time to start!! Although this is the 12th book in this series, you can read as a standalone or start from book 1. Ali weaves one heck of a story with Pierce, ex military, now owner of a non profit construction company, and Meredeth, a single mother and co-owner of a children's book store. Meredeth's daughter is so sweet, I instantly loved her. The two main characters have just started in a relationship when her ex, Millie's father, shows up on her doorstep. Meredith wants nothing more than her daughter to know her father, but he is still the same man he was before the birth of Millie. Can Pierce and Merideth navigate a new relationship with the ex around? There is a few more waters for them to get through as well, can they get to the other side and find their hea??

MY FINAL LOVE AFFAIR A Bancroft Billionaire Brothers # 12 by Ali Parker

This 12th story in the Bancroft series is about Pierce and Meredith. When Pierce stops in Meredith's children's bookstore to buy a baby shower gift for his brother's baby, Millie at five helps him helps him select the perfect books. He is very attracted to her mom. Pierce is a man with a huge heart that builds tiny homes for veterans. Meredith is a woman who spends plenty of time second guessing herself and has lots on her plate to keep her busy. There is an abundance of angst, things that throw conflict into the mix and the chemistry between the two of them is hot.
This is different from the other books in the series as the other siblings do not make much if any appearance. I would still like answers about Armand and Reese. I feel like that is still hanging. Hey Ali, can you explore the Canadians and tell the stories of those Bancrofts to help fill in those blanks? This is 5 stars.

Pierce owns a nonprofit construction co. building tiny house communities for homeless vets. He is a former marine so understands where some some of them are coming from.
Meredith is a single mom of a 5 yr old named Millie and also co owner of a children's bookstore with her best friend.
Pierce runs into the bookstore after work one day to pick up a last minute baby shower gift for a half brother and wife. First person that stops him in the doorway is Millie asking if she may help him. After about 20 questions and 2 books later Meredith thought she better rescue him and tell Millie what a good selling job she did. From there Pierce is hooked he adores Millie and wants to know more of Meredith.
Even though this is #12 in the series you can read it as a standalone. It's an easy read and HEA. It's not a short novel but well worth your time. I loved reading this book

Pierce is a very kind hearted, laid-back man who runs a non-profit construction company, building tiny houses to help Vets receive a helping hand and also to get a new start.
Meredith runs a children's book store. Her daughter Millie charms Pierce who has come in for a baby shower gift, and he’s immediately taken with both of them. Meredith’s ex has left her questioning her choices and she is very skittish on relationships. Their styles are totally different, but they’re drawn together. Pierce desperately wants a family, he moves too fast in some cases and their relationship goes through ups and downs and her ex complicates the situation. Lovely story. Good characters and character development. This has been a great series.

Have we really come to the end of the series? Is Pierce truly the last Bancroft brother for us to get to know? I really hope not, because I’ve loved reading about this dysfunctional family and all their drama. It feeds my reality-television-loving soul. I loved Meredith and Millie in this, and I absolutely adored Pierce. Even though they have some stuff to work out, I thought they made an adorable little family. I also had a lot of fun watching as they stumbled their way over and around so many of the hurdles that families face nowadays. The only thing I felt like I was missing was more of the Bancroft brothers. Though, my fingers are crossed that we just might be seeing the cousins in books of their own in the future.

Pierce is the owner of a non profit that provides housing for homeless Veterans. He’s given up on love and is content until he goes into a bookstore to get a gift for his brothers pregnant wife and immediately falls in love with sweet little Millie. He’s just as enamored with her mom Meredith but with her past continuing to pop in and cause problems she’s not sure if the relationship she’s trying to build with Pierce will withstand. Saying I Love You won’t cut it. But Pierce won’t let her slip away. I’ve absolutely loved the Bancroft brothers even the illegitimate ones from papa Bancroft. Ali did an amazing job tying them all together and I hope that mama Bancroft get hers own light shined on her.

This book is part of a wonderful series but don't worry if you haven't read the earlier books, you can still enjoy this one about Pierce's story as a standalone. Pierce runs a non-profit business building homes for wounded veterans. Meredith and her best friend run a bookstore and it's there that they meet when he is trying to find the perfect gift for a baby shower or his half-brother’s pregnant wife.

Ali Parker's writing is both well done and emotional, my heart was broken but then she put it back together, this story really moved me. This book may be the last about Art Bancroft’s single children but I have a feeling that Ali may surprise us with stories about the Canadian side of the family, we can only hope.

Pierce is such a wonderful addition to the Bancroft Boys

I loved that this story started with Pierce already infatuated with Meredith. Her past was keeping them apart. Her past being her ex-boyfriend and father of her daughter Millie. Pierce wants what his "brothers" have. A family. He also has this huge house that was made for a big family.

Meredith is apprehensive because of her ex - Cory. He was a bad druggie, and it made her question how she loved anyone. She also wants to protect her daughter at all costs.

This book has plenty of steam to get you through the day. Redemption, family, and a beautiful HEA.

Good guys DO finish first!
Pierce is a former marine who has devoted himself to building small communities for homeless vets. Meredith is the mother of delightful 5-year-old Millie as well as the co-owner of a children’s bookstore. They meet when he runs into her bookstore to pick up a last-minute gift for a baby shower. Millie takes over like a real pro and two books later Meredith decides to rescue him and congratulate Millie on her salesmanship. Hooked on the adorable Millie he in turn wants to know more about her mother.
If you’ve never read any thing by this author this is a great book to start with.

Pierce and Millie had me glued to the pages of this exciting story. Pierce owns a construction company that is building homes for vets not to mention that he is a former Marine himself. When he connects with Millie her cuteness draws him in and he is floored by her than he meets Millie's mother Meredith, and he is thinking about happily ever after! Their budding relationship is going well until her ex returns into the picture. Will he be the catalyst that stops their relationship from going forward or will Pierce drop anchor and weather the storm? I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

The last Bancroft brother?

Pierce wants nothing more than to live his life, help his fellow vets and maybe find that special someone. But his sperm donor’s brother keeps pressuring him. Why? Then he meets a spunky five-year-old while shopping for a baby shower gift and everything changes.

Single mom Meredith has her hands full with her five-year-old, and her bookstore. When said five-year-old plays matchmaker, all bets are off. Then her ex decides to make an appearance and really throws a monkey wrench into her life.

I am voluntarily leaving this review. This was such a great book. The characters were great, the suspense/drama was just right and the supporting characters were great.

I loved how Pierce was a kind hearted man who loved to help people in need. I loved that he didn’t give up easily and even helped Meredith’s ex. I loved that Meredith had a good heart and wanted to help her ex and how she was patient with Pierce.

This was a great series and I can’t wait to see what else Ali has in store for us.

Piece needs a gif6 and heads into Meredith’s bookstore that she co owns with her best friend and Pierce meets her and her daughter Millie. They both have quite the attraction and before long they are spending time together as well as time with Millie. This story is a bit more emotional than the other in this series. Pierce owns a non profit and is not looking for love in his life. Until one day he walks into a bookstore to buy a gift and meets Meredith and her daughter Millie. He is charmed by both of them and realizes what he is missing. However, Meredith doesn't trust easily and she is not one to jump in heads first. The story will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and their HEA doesn't come easy. A wonderful final chapter in this series and I volunteered to review this story.

Meredith and her five year old daughter Millie lived in the busy little bubble she had created for them. The had a good life that worked for them.
That is until the day Pierce walked in her book store and saw her daughter helping him pick out books for his sister in laws baby shower.
The attraction was immediate, although each had hurdles to overcome and issues that seem to keep them apart.
They will have figure out if this relationship is what they really want.
It is one of my favorites in the Bancroft Series

The final Bancroft Brother book in this series which is #12 but I have to be honest, not my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Meredith and Pearce as well as Millie. What I didn’t like was the way the story was told. You have a love story in the beginning of the book, then we go to how they met back to where they stood today. Again, that is just my opinion and the only thing that I didn’t really enjoy about the book. I would really love to read more about this dysfunctional family as they grow. It’s sad to see it come to an end.

This is a great read from start to finish and I love visiting with these brothers. I loved Pierce, his heart is so big and his pull to Meredith is unstoppable. Meredith is a strong woman, an amazing mom and she had my heart from the second I met her. Her daughter Millie is perfectly precious and an added source of sweet throughout the story. I love the mix of emotions from each of them and how that created a depth to the story, with the intense moments and the lighter ones as well. Another must in this series!

He has been working hard to get his business off the ground and it is bearing fruit as he can help those he wanted. He is single and never expected to find love until it got him finally. He has been pulled in by her little one and her. Her ex reappears and sleeps on her couch and he has got all the wrong ideas. Can he make amends? Will she allow him back in? Will he finally get the love he never expected? See how it all goes

What sweet romance between Pierce and Meredith, and her adorable daughter, Millie. Throw in the toxic ex (her), plenty of family drama (him) and things get interesting. Enjoyed seeing their relationship grow, and how he helped talk her off edges (along with help from her bestie). The question was whether she was going to let her control issues ruin her chance for HEA. I've enjoyed the Bancroft Billionaire Brothers series so far.

This is the last book in the series. It is just as good as the other books. Each book can be read as a standalone. A man who loves his job that builds homes for homeless veterans. It fills his life, and he has stopped looking for love. He stops in a bookstore and is taken with a little girl. Her mother literally takes his breath away. They take things slow, but it is worth the time. The couple will take on a wild ride of emotions.
