How-to 'KILL' the Mocking Birds?

Rate this book
SHOCKING UNTOLD STORIES , about inspirational patience and courage, developed and shown by two vulnerable daughters. First, as a result of horribly negligent and abusive parenting, they got during childhood. Next, during 50+ years of continued cursings that kept coming to the girls' damaged and underdog adult lives. From the girls' heroic examples, this book offers awesome and ironic answers and positive rays of spiritual hope, patience, courage, (and miracles) for healing many modern maladies plaguing each of us, and our entire world today. Struggles make us Stronger, So the BEST is Yet to be! Although this book's-title questions "How-to KILL "; …the mockingbird's thought bubbles (on the cover), and The Prologue all clearly explain that ' KILL ' within this book means metaphorically "Killing-with-Kindness and patience" , which also links it to Harper Lee's famous novel, so similarly titled. The oldest daughter, mentioned above, eventually meets the author later in life, forming a remarkable "odd couple" marriage relationship that makes this book extremely unique and interesting. Especially as he introduces huge ideas and universal theories explaining everything and everyone's place within the vast universe of minds and spiritual energies. Kindness is free, so Kill'em with Kindness. Neither Victims Nor Fools. Not Ever!

How to kill the mocking bird is a self-help non-fiction book written to compel you to find the courage to make a change in your life. It underlines the many social problems we face in society by providing a compelling telling of two women who have undergone hardship.
Although everyone’s story is always important and worth knowing, the author also takes it further and enables the reader not only to enjoy the tale but also make it personal. I personally have always been an advocate of killing people with kindness, and so it was pleasant to read something that went along with my own element of belief.

The literature is strong and for that reason, you can cherish every word by feeling the narrative and wanting to be better in your own life.

Not giving up is the key and for that, I appreciated reading this book. It is clear to see how much care has been given to creating this work. I recommend this book to self-help readers.

‘A compelling text, written by a man determined to help the underdog and stamp out intolerance and bullying; a very worth thing to do.’ The Wishing Shelf

REVIEW
In many ways, this book is very different. So much so, it's very difficult for me to concisely describe what it's about. But I'll do my best. It seems to me that the author is attempting to shine a light on the vulnerable underdog - or mockingbird. And, by doing so, to help weed out intolerance by exposing mocking, scoffing, and bullying. In many ways, the author´s trying to inspire the underdog to fight back; not with fists, but with kindness, in the hope the bully will change.
To be honest, the author's a little too wordy for me, and I often just wanted him to simply get on with it. Still, I very much enjoyed this book. The author has a lot to say and, for the most part, he has the writing ability to put across his thoughts and feelings. The topics he covers are, to put it mildly, extensive, including bystander apathy, cultural problems, citizenship – there´s even a bit of poetry! I particularly enjoyed Chapter 3 entitled Understanding Janet´s Parents, Janet being his wife. I felt it was well-written, personal, and very insightful. Also, the message is in this chapter of ´forgiveness´ is rather refreshing in the world we presently live in.
Overall, this is a very thought-provoking book which I think many readers will enjoy. It's the sort of book that would go down well in a reading group, as there's plenty – PLENTY! - in here to discuss at length. It's always enjoyable to get into the mind of a smart author who has a lot to say; you might not agree with all of it, but it's still a compelling read.

“You have a strong narrative style. Your compelling and important stories appropriately expose the pushy and subtly denied damages to yourselves and millions of other sincere and innocent Christ-followers and Christ-investigators; Mostly due to the popular influence repeatedly exerted by exaggerated and intolerant attacks by many hypocritical counter-cult ministries and publishers over the last seventy years.” --Cedar Fort

Incredibly unique and inspiring real-life stories. A must-read for those concerned about bullying, intolerance, child abuse and neglect.
