This book is a great way for young kids to learn about sharks. This book teaches kids all about the different kinds of sharks, their bodies, and their teeth. This book is filled with lift the flaps, It is a great and fun way for children to read and learn. I really enjoyed reading this book and learning a little more about sharks.

Enter the world of sharks! Learn about their bodies, diet, types of sharks, how they hunt, and how they lay their eggs with babies inside!! The bright and colorful illustrations will enchant and delight, while you enjoy learning facts and secrets about sharks through lifting the flaps!

I fell in love with it right away. The illustration and coloring is AMAZING! I don’t normally buy lift-the-flap books for my library because they get easily torn because they can be hard to open or pull for small fingers. But these flaps are really fun and big enough that they are easy to open for small fingers and won’t get easily torn.

I also love that the sharks are like characters in the book and have dialogue and everything. It’s a super fun book!
I recommend this book for any boy or girl who is fascinated by sharks and it’s a must-have for either your library or even your own personal library!

Summary:
The goal of this book is to educate on sharks and how amazing they are. The fun book covers appearance, their teeth, their food source, baby sharks, whale sharks, hammerheads, fast sharks, and strange sharks. It also talks about how sharks are in danger from us because of how hunted they are.

My response:
I've honestly always been afraid of sharks, couldn't even watch discovery channel, but this book was super cute and informative. For someone who doesn't really like sharks, I enjoyed the book.

How I might use it:
This book could be used for kids who love sharks as well as working on the /sh/ sound.

It's a bit advanced for my son but the illustrations are beautiful and there are lots of fun facts about sharks. This is not a story book, but it's fun to learn a bit and look at the different sharks with my son.

I rarely dislike an Usbourne book. This one is great for the 6 and under crowd. I liked that there were flaps on both sides of each page so that my two listeners could divide the thrilling work of lifting flaps evenly. Priorities.
