Kill them all

It was always me and Daddy, but now I have another family to protect.

From the day my father didn’t come home, my life changed irrevocably. From my earliest memories, I’d always known what I would do. Daddy hunted the monsters and when I was old enough, he let me help.

Under his tutelage, I trained, studied, and learned. I was his apprentice, his partner, and eventually, I grew up enough to strike out on my own. It was always the two of us. Sometimes we shared targets, but more often, he had his and I had mine.

I always thought we had no secrets, but my hunt uncovers more and more questions.

Then I met Rick, Fletcher, and eventually Cash. Rick shattered the loneliness around me and for him, I broke Daddy’s rules. Fletcher burrowed into my heart with his quirky mannerisms and vulnerability, and for him, I threw the rules out entirely. And Cash?

His relentless, damn near fearless pursuit turned everything I knew upside down all the while he filled in a hole in my defenses. For him, we’ve rewritten the rules entirely. They are my apprentices, my support, my team, and very quickly, they have become my partners in both life and business.

Most of all, they are mine.

I won’t stop hunting for those who took Daddy while I continue his work. But I won’t do it alone. And I won’t let anyone take Rick, Fletcher, or Cash from me.

No one.

Don’t touch what’s mine. They will fight for me and I will kill for them.

LAST WORD is a full length dark adult romance and psychological thriller with suspenseful themes. Any trigger warnings will be included in the foreword. Some situations may be uncomfortable for readers. This is a reverse harem novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. This is the fourth and final book in the series.

I love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.

I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.

After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.

Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.

Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.

One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

I’m active on social media, and I love hearing from readers. Feel free to tag me with a question about any of my books, or just say hi!

This managed to complete the series bringing closure and a sense of unity as Vienna and her men finally get their anticapted HEA. It was an enjoyable read and Fletcher in this last book managed to crack me up he had some of the best lines. I also think Cash managed to bring his A-game and I adored his dominant energy so much.

So after the dramatic reveal in book three, a certain someone is now back within the fold and he manages to upset the vibe as he's not a happy camper. Rick Cash and Fletcher have Vienna's back and are not prepared to let Vienna implode as she's naturally drowning in hurt. Cash especially has no issues standing his ground.

This was a great finish to the series and overall this has all been such a great read I'd hands down read this author team again very impressed with this and highly recommend it.

This is the last book in the Cardinal Sins series, and it packs a punch! Vienna and her guys have been thrown for a loop, again, and have to re-evaluate some things. The differences between Vienna in book one and Vienna in book four and brought into a stark contrast. We get to see just how much she’s changed and grown because of the loss of her father, and then meeting and growing close with each of her men.

The guys’ devotion to Vienna is tested but never wavers. There is plenty of drama and conflict in this story, and outside influences who try to pull them apart, but I love that the guys’ feelings stay strong and clear. Vienna’s struggles come from revelations about people she thought she knew and could trust (to a certain degree).

I love this series so much. The tiny cameos and crossover hints to other series are brilliantly done - blink and you’ll miss them! The twists and turns make it impossible to accurately predict the ending, and keep the pages turning! This is one of my favorite series, and I’m a little sad that it’s done, but the ending was incredibly satisfying on several levels.

Damn i cant believe that this is the last book in this series and im kinda sad that it was but it was a blindingly good way to go out. Even though with their bloodthirsty and violent ways i shouldnt find them all endearing but i have a soft spot for Team Drew. Rick the caring big guy who is loyal as hell, Cash the protective Ex- FBI agent and Fletcher the hacker whose was a constant source of laughter all of which were hot as hell!! All back up to Vienna (FMC) who was smart and sassy as she was from the first book but in this book she showed her emotional side with everything that she went through in it. Her relationship with the guys was steamy as it had been from the beginning and it was still steamy hot!!

This last book definitely tied up lots of loose ends but my only criticism was that we didnt get enough book time with Dae and Ratio. I would have loved to find out more about Ratio. Anyway this book was a cracking finale and i loved reading it so much

I went into this book already obsessed with the guys possessiveness of Vienna and that only got stronger with this book. Without giving too much away, the team ends up having to go against foes they never foresaw and heartbreaks no one could have predicted. Vienna is as strong as ever but we get to see a softer and more vulnerable side to her in this novel and that definitely helped to humanize her further. The men are absolute perfection and compliment each other so wonderfully. She has the over possessive teddy bear protector, the smart comedic relief who would do anything for her, and the fierce alphahole who pushed her constantly. Together they create a perfect and impenetrable support system for Vienna and an incredible family unit. This book had a wonderfully sense of resolution and closure and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. I will always love this incredible crew ❤️

”I didn’t deserve any of them. But I would never let them go for as long as they wanted to be here, and I would never let anyone hurt them. My resolve, like my heart, seemed to swell at that recognition. No. No one was allowed to hurt them.”

this was such a good conclusion to everything. i loved this series.

okay so Cash grew on me. he really redeemed himself to me with how he integrated himself into the family and respected Rick and Fletcher. but esp how he didn’t fear or back down from Vienna’s Daddy

omg Fletcher calling Vienna’s father Daddy to his face and rolling with it was too good.

the last book wrapped up all my lingering questions, esp about side characters. ugh, this was such a good series and i really love Rick, lol. the family they created with each other made me so happy for all of them ♡

”If I had my way, she’d never know discomfort again. Since life was never that kind, I would take every opportunity to look after her whether it was cleaning the house, preparing meal, fxcking her against a wall, or dismembering a body.”

Series: Cardinal Sins #4

⚠️Check triggers⚠️

Vienna's world is turned upside down when she encounters a surprise while on a job. As information is uncovered, Vienna learns that not everything is as it seems and there are dark forces at play. Together Vienna and her men work to bring down a sinister network.

This is the final installment in the series and it was a bittersweet ending. I saw the twist coming in book three, but I still really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the dynamics that played out with Vienna and an unknown person (I don't want to spoil it) because it showcased her growth. Vienna is my favorite character in this series. The way she thinks through situations is fascinating. Lana Meyers would adore her. They would absolutely be besties 🥺🥰

I adore the men in this group. They are completely devoted to Vienna and worship the ground she walks on (as they should). I love how they each meet her needs in their own way. The guys all love Vienna, but it was sweet to see them care for one another. I love how protective Rick and Cash are of Fletcher.

This book has some nice spicy scenes (the t*tty f*cking scene was HOT 🥵), but I wish there were more of them. I would love to see an extended epilogue of this family further out. Maybe with a baby...or two 👀

Thank you to Heather, Blake, and Peachy Keen for the early copy in exchange for an honest review!

Absolutely hands down my favorite series. This is the last book in the Cardinal Sins series, and it does not disappoint my any means. We have twists and turns of all kinds. I never saw most of them coming and man, when they hit, it was like a smack to the forhead. These two authors can write up a storm, and keep you coming back for more. Out of all the characters, I don't know that I have a favorite because I like them all so much.
This series was a pleasure to read, and I enjoyed the high tension, mindf**k this series brought. The world building is amazing, I felt like I was part of the book, and all the tension, and action, and I mean come on who doesn't like a FMC like Vienna? Strong, fierce, smart as all get out. This story is told in multiple POV, and it a thriller ride from beginning to end.

This thrilling conclusion to the series will keep you on your toes. This is pretty action-packed and steamy from start to finish and some twists and turns sprinkled in. Fletcher really got to shine and I still want my own psycho puppy-keeping house. Cash grew quite a bit making him a team player for Vienna and the guys. This had a nice HEA while leaving some hope there could be other tales told from this world, hint hint.

Last Word by Heather Long and Blake Blessing is a dark reverse harem romantic suspense. This is the fourth and final book in the Cardinal Sins series.

I love Heather and Blake's books. They did a great job wrapping up the series. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Vienna, Merrick, Fletcher, and Cash. I really enjoyed getting all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I would recommend this series if you like romantic suspense, psychological thrillers, reverse harem romances, or dark romances.

Daddy's back and life as the group knew it is long and over. Honestly Daddy kind of annoyed me expecting Vienna to just fall in line and be a good lil minion. But the past year on her own has done more than just give her independence, it's brought her love and she'll be damned if anyone get in the way of that. I was happy to finally see all the loose ends tied up though I'm hella surprised it was so easy to get uncle David but I think that just goes to show how awesome Vienna is, more often than not one step ahead. Wild series and I really enjoyed it.

Daddy's back. Once the most important man in her life, her master, and the one who taught her to hunt, she's no longer the daughter he left. Now Vienna has Rick, Fletcher, and Cash. She broke his rules. But so did he.

I admit; I'm glad this series has concluded. It's hard to explain. The characters are rich; they have the complexity I require. The plot line is well thought out, tangled, and full of twists. It's intelligent, never condescending. Yet, I never connected with the story. It had all of the elements I ask for and entertained me well enough but the story never consumed me. It felt like work more than pure pleasure. I will not do a re-read and I doubt it will linger in my mind. I can definitely recommend it to others but it wasn't for me.

Very Enjoyable Series!

“Last Word,” was a very nice conclusion to the Cardinal Sins Series. It was filled with action, intrigue, sexy times, twists, and tied up all the loose ends.

**SPOILERS**

If you’ve “come this far,” hopefully you have read this series in order. Honestly you really do need to start with book one and move from there, otherwise this series won’t make much sense.

Our awesome FMC, Vienna Drew is vigilante, although the FBI have named her a serial killer. She is one half of the “team” called The Judge. The other member of her team was her father who taught her everything he knew before he was murdered. Vienna and her father take their “work” very seriously and work for a group called The Network, in a loose capacity, but they ONLY kill people who are “evil” - people who have committed or are continuing to commit heinous acts (such as pedophilia, sex trafficking, serial rape, torture for pleasure etc). Both Vienna and her father have a very strict moral code…for serial killers, lol.

When Vienna gets the news that her father has been brutally murdered she makes it her quest to find out who murdered her father AND continue her fathers life’s work; killing the evil people on his kill list (it’s a very long list). On a “job” Vienna is “rescued” by a handsome (troubled) man who has just been released from a rehabilitation program. Merrick (Rick) is definitely an interesting character. He certainly has sociopathic tendencies, BUT he’s also OCD, compulsively overly attached, and when he “loves” he becomes obsessed. After he pseudo saves Vienna, Vienna “recognizes” something in his eyes…something that she can’t deny, it’s like looking into a mirror and seeing her own reflection. She impulsively brings him home with her…and they become equally enthralled with one another…well maybe Rick is more obsessed with Vienna than she is with him at first, lol.

Rick fits seamlessly into her life, and she decides I’m order to “keep him” she needs to change his identity…since her line of work is seriously dangerous. She goes to a forger she has always trusted, only to discover that her forger has been compromised and is, in fact, a very bad guy, as he’s in the middle of trying to murder a man when she enters his home. Realizing her forger is lying to her, she kills him, and frees his “victim,” (Fletcher) who just happens to be an even BETTER computer expert/forger than the man she murdered. After he agrees to work for her a series of unfortunate events leaves him homeless, and Vienna once again goes against her nature and lets him stay with her and Merrick - whose new name (courtesy of Fletcher) is Rick Drew. Fletcher is wildly attracted to Vienna, and Vienna finds the quirky nerd cute and useful. He is on board with her plan to search for her fathers killer AND eliminate the evil people on her list - although he’s definitely the techie, NOT the enforcer, and certainly not the cold blooded assassin type. Oh he’ll kill to save Vienna, but the torture of their enemies makes his stomach queasy (lol).

So suddenly, Vienna…a “lone wolf” (because her father raised her to believe that she could ONLY trust him) finds herself living and working with two handsome, devoted guys. And it’s not long before they work their way past her defenses and she falls for them. They all run into a “problem” when an ex-FBI agent (Cash) finds Vienna butchering a victim. Instead of calling or taking her in, he applauds her! You see, Cash’s dad, and Cash, have spent their entire lives looking for The Judge. He’s over the moon happy, intrigued, impressed and delighted to learn his vigilante serial killer is a woman, a very beautiful and deadly woman! Initially Vienna locks Cash away in her dungeon (yup she has special cells in her basement). It takes a while, but eventually Cash convinces her that he ONLY WANTS TO HELP HER fulfill her fathers wishes…hunt down and take out “evil people.” So the once reclusive serial killer, Vienna, goes from being totally alone, to having three “boyfriends,” all with special skill sets that help her in her line of work.

All the books are very good. Well written, exciting, plot and character driven, with “Last Word,” doing an excellent job of concluding the series. In each book we see Vienna and her men get closer to the “truth.” And the closer she gets to the truth, the more people want to silence her, a.k.a. kill her!! A SHOCKING TWIST ends book three on a major cliffy, which continues into this last and final book! This twist really changes the “dynamics” between the characters, but I adore how it only brings Vienna and her guys closer together!

If you like strong willed, kick-ass female main characters, and alpha male personality male main characters m, you’ll really enjoy the Cardinal Sins Series. It’s a page turner to the very end!

Amazingly done.

Honestly here contains spoilers too. the 1st book I wasn't a huge fan. It wasn't bad but there really wasn't that exciting. But it wasn't bad either or I wouldn't of continued. The 2nd bookbwas better. Not going to lie and say that I didn't like nor understand how she treated fletcher so differently then Rick. Yes Rick killed someone for her but what Fletcher did was equally if not more important. But she still kept him at arms length for along time but let Rick I'm right away. It confused me with her rules. In the 1st book I didn't care for Rick much to attached to needy. By the 2nd book all asudden he was the big broody kill for the world type guys. Different from how she described him in the beginning. Fletcher was hilarious. I was happy once he was aloud in and also part of her guys I rooted for him. Even if he was a scardy cat. But by theb2nd book I liked Rick too and like how he took to Fletcher eventually. The 3rd book more in depth brought cash on with him being celled. The the growth. I love alpha possessive protective men but I'm sorry I didn't really like cash much throughout the book. He was too much. Once he got put of the cell he tried to control everything. The 4th book. More less was about her dad coming back. The guys had their reasons to be upset how he treated his daughter but at the same time he didn't really do anything was ger feelings hurt sure was ger dad out of line sure but I think that Cash was out of line as well. It truly is between father and daughter to work out and thank God they did. But cash was still an asshole. I highly dought that cash could take out the judge. But I also know that he wouldnt nor her father do cash because Vienna wouldn't want nor like that. Always a threat with those too. I love the fact that Thad like Rick and Fletcher tho. Rick has became my fav but Fletcher oh gosh he had me laughing so much especially around "daddy" as he called Vienna's dad. Oh gosh that was awesome and he never corrected Fletcher either. I loved that Vienna and he father got close again. And he even knows where they live despite Cashs words lol. Cash never grew on me much but I dont dislike him either they all grew throughout the series. I really wished they didn't more tho so she could be close to ger dad but people grow up and need to leave the nest something I'm learning. I think whoever reads this series will truly enjoy it. I read all 4 books in 2 day. (Probably would of faster but lives need to be lived too lol) the authors did an amazing job on this series and 1 I'm sure I'll read again. I'll probably add it to my rereads library. Please enjoy this series.

So I normally don’t write reviews because I just read way too many books. I usually feel compelled when I either REALLY loved or disliked a book. In this case, from the star rating, I’m sure you could guess which it is for this series. This review will be in regard to all 4 books!
**Possible Spoilers Below**

This series is SERIOUSLY underrated. Holy moly!!! This was slower burn / less spicy then I normally read but you couldn’t even tell with how well written this was. Not only is Vienna the exact type of heroine I like to read, but the harem was absolute perfection. I love how these men did not know each other prior, it takes a real way with words to make new harems all mesh together. My first question is where can I get myself a Merrick!?!?!? His development was some of the best I’ve ever seen. I love how they twisted an Insta-love scenario to connect with mental health. It totally made sense for him and I love how Vienna gave him what he desired in taking care of a person and attached to him all the same.

Fletcher is just the sweet funny hacker who lightens any situation. I loved how he wasn’t prone to violence like the other two, I feel like this also was a stand out. A lot of the RHs I’ve read all the men were hardened. I liked that Fletcher struggled with that part of their lives but always tried his best for Vienna.

Cash, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with him. I didn’t think I’d like him, to be honest it took me a while. But then again the same thing went for Vienna. And in the end I love that he was the one to challenge her. He completed their group in the best way possible.

The twists and turns were amazing. Several reveals I truly didn’t expect, that made it all the more better that it wasn’t entirely predictable. Like that Lescheva twist???? Did NOT see it coming. Same with Mart to be honest!!! It was just so so well done, I will miss these characters SO much.

I do wish that there was more of an epilogue into their future. I also wish we got more information on Merrick, am I the only one who noticed we have NO clue how old he is? I feel like for the rest of the series his mental health was kind of glossed over after the first book. Either way, all four get a 5/5 from me.

Ahhh it's always so bittersweet when we get to the end of a series. It's great to see the conclusion and know all the answers. It hurts so bad to say goodbye to our beloved characters though. So yes, Last Word is definitely the last word in the Cardinal Sins series. Absolutely read them in order.

So we ended book three with that bomb that Daddy was still alive. What?? Crazy right? Drew has spent all this time trying to get revenge for Daddy's death and he's not even dead. So we knew him being back could put some kinks in the new system the gang has going on. I expected that. I did not expect the behavior coming from Daddy though. Not gonna lie, he was pissing me off something fierce! I knew though that I had to trust the system and things would find a way to work themselves out. They did. I can tell you that much. I will say I'm so proud of not only Drew standing up for her men but the way these guys stood their ground for her. Even our little Fletcher. Had me panting over these boys.

So yea, no spoilers but we got all the answers we have been looking for. There were still some twists and turns to be had in this last book. Things I did not see coming. AT ALL. I love when they can keep me on my toes all the way to the end. Of course we have some action, they are killers after all. You guessed it, we also had some sexy times. These boys know how to take care of their woman and she knows their favorite reward system.

So yes, it's been a stellar series and this last book did not disappoint at all. Great ending to a phenomenal series. Love these two authors and can't wait to see what they team up on next.

Team Drew

I loved the series and it's bittersweet that it's over. I'm hoping it will come out as a omnibus soon so I can just get all the books in 1. I am definitely one of those that appreciated the recap in the beginning. I wish all authors did that. It wrapped up nicely and answered lingering questions. I'm glad things worked out with Daddy, the bomb dropped about Mart was completely unexpected. I love the guys, especially Rick, I wish I had a Rick of my own, especially to cook and clean. I love Cash too, his abrasiveness grows on you. I've gotten pretty greedy when it comes to the rh world so I have to admit I was a bit disappointed Ratio and Dae didn't join the harem. Atleast Ratio. Also I liked that we heard from everyone in the epilogue, but I would have loved a extended epilogue or a novella like 1 then 5 or so years out to see what everyone's up to, if they decide to marry and add to the family since Cash was already thinking about a possible kid. That's the only thing that I think could have added to the book and made it even better. But it's not too late for a novella *hint hint*. I liked that we saw growth and the characters evolving and learning that change is OK. And so is being open and honest with feelings, love and trust. The sexy scenes were 🔥. I think there could have been more because I'm all about the smut, but I also appreciate that there was actually a storyline and a good one at that. All in all, great series and I look forward to reading more work by these authors.

Loved the conclusion! What a crazy ride, this series wasn’t at all what I expected. In the very beginning I had trouble getting into it and staying interested. But I’m not one to quit a book or series and I was determined to continue. I was very intrigued and curious to see how it would play out and continued with book 2, and I’m so incredibly happy I did! This little family, Vienna, Rick, Fletcher, and Cash, were absolutely amazing. They fit together and balanced each other out so well. Each guy brought something different to Vienna’s life and she needed each of them. I loved the relationship between each guy and how they grew together and the bound they all formed. There were so many times I was laughing out loud at something Fletcher said, his sense of humor was perfect and just what was needed. I loved the possessiveness of each guy and how Rick made sure everyone had what needed and was taken care of. Cash was perfect too, there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for not only Vienna, but Rick and Fletcher too.
This was a great series, one I devoured in 2 days. Book 1 laid the foundation and introduced us to everyone, book 2 & 3 formed the relationships between everyone and really started having you questioning things. But book 4 brought secrets and betrayals to light. It also cemented just how important the guys were to Vienna, and how much she loved them and needed them. There wasn’t anything or anyone that would come between this family.

We finally get to see what the happy ending for a serial killer/vigilante and her harem looks like!

This book begins right after the cliffhanger from High Note, but from Fletcher’s point of view. When things don’t turn out like Vienna and her guys were expecting, Vienna starts to retreat into herself, and Cash, Rick, and Fletcher attempt to put the smile back on her face.
"'I need you. I need all of you.'
"You have us.'"
When one secret and lie finally comes out, they all eventually come tumbling down right after. Vienna’s life isn’t what she always thought it was. But she has her new support system right next to her and behind her to help her cope.

Fletcher’s character was probably my favorite throughout this book. His jittery-ness and lack of filter had me in stitches. Rick will probably always be my favorite, but Fletcher came hard for the top spot throughout this book.

Cash’s violent protectiveness was an interesting turn. Of course he was always the one that was a little more unhinged than the others, but he was willing to look death in the face and laugh if it meant protecting Vienna.
"I want to burn myself on your soul the way you've imprinted yourself on mine."
Rick was still the cuddle monster he has been throughout the series. Vienna being the only light that he sees, he will do anything to bring her comfort.

I really liked this series. I am both happy and sad that it is over. I love the ending and how everything worked out, but I am sad to see them go.

This is def for fans of vigilante/serial killer and RH romance lovers. If that's you and you haven't started this series, I HIGHLY recommend! Start with Kill Song and experience Vienna and Rick's meet-cute (among other things!).

Overall this may be my favorite series from these authors

All 4 installments of Vienna's story kept me riveted and staying up waaaay too late reading because I HAD to know what happened next.

I don't often rate 5 stars but 3/4 of the books were total 5 star reads for me.

I also loved that the harem topped off at 3 men. It allowed me to get to know each guy pretty well without ever feeling overwhelming.

The reason I rated 4 stars on Last Word vs 5 is a major spoiler so beware!

The Cardinal Sins series has been AMAZING! From book one as you are introduced to Vienna and her dad and the lifestyle they chose to live as they rid the world of evil one monster at a time.

You watch as Vienna grows and becomes her Daddy's right hand. They work side by side to continue their goal. They will rid life and the world of the sick and corrupt monsters.

As a reader you are never really ready for a series to end. I can say without a doubt that coming to book 4 I am not ready to see these characters story finish. Vienna and her group of protectors grow on you. Each book uncovered more questions but it also brought them that much closer to the answers they sought. They refused to give up and they refused to let it go.

The reappearance of her mentor becomes heart breaking. The person she saw last and the man they find are not even in the same realm of how it once was.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this series and the characters. If you guys have not read the Cardinal Sins series by Blake Blessing and Heather Long then i implore you to give it a try. You will be sucked in to the world of monsters and the judge jury and executioners that continue to work to make the world a better place.

Thank you so much Heather and Blake for another amazing series!!

5⭐
2.5🌶

Tropes:
▫Dark Romance
▫️Reverse Harem/Why choose?
▫Strong FMC

💬 Thoughts:

Last Word is the last book in the Cardinal Sins series. We pick up right after the shocking cliff-hanger at the end of book 3. This discovery throws a spanner in the works of the goal she has been working towards for the past year. Vienna is now questioning everything she thought she knew, but the one thing she can rely on is the relationship with her guys.

They are all so understanding of her needs in different ways. Rick is he caretaker, food is his love language he thrives on taking care of others. I adore him and I relate to him a lot. Fletcher is the comedic relief we all need when times are tough and Cash is fiercely protective and knows how to challenge Vienna when she needs it. I also loved watching the friendships grow between all 3 of them.

Vienna is a great FMC. If you have read the Mindf*ck series and love Lana Myers then you will LOVE Vienna. She's a vigilante with a strong moral code. She can take down men twice her size a barely break a sweat.

This series was my first books by both these authors and I am seriously impressed! I was obsessed from the start of book 1.

Highly, highly recommend!!!!

‼️ Trigger Warnings

If you love your RH romances with an intriguing plot, slightly unhinged morally grey men who are OTT obsessed with their woman, and 🥵 spice then you’ll love the Cardinal Sins series.

Last Word picks up where a shocking cliffy in High Note left us screaming at our kindles. We finally start slowly getting answers to the intricate web Vienna has been trying to unravel, but since a certain someone is OTT stubborn like a mule, getting those answers is like pulling teeth - painful, slow, and exhausting. Fletcher, Cash and Rick are what book boyfriends are made of and real life men should strive to be. Maybe minus all the murder, tho. They never let Vienna doubt herself, they prop her up when she needs it, love her fiercely, and compliment the different sides of her. My only complaint is I wish the resolution was more dramatic, it seemed too easy. Other than that this was a great series.

I don’t know about you, but I love a harem with slightly unhinged morally grey men. Fletcher is the only one who could be considered somewhat normal but then you remember how very okay Fletcher is with being in a harem of serial k!llers.

Steam: 🌶🌶🌶
Angst: 🔥🔥🔥
Violence: 🩸🩸🩸🩸

Thank you Heather Long, Blake Blessing and Peachy Keen PR for an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

I've been hooked on this series since I read the synopsis and tropes from the first book. Vigilante FEMALE serial killer, reverse harem, dark romance, yes to all of them! These books have had the perfect amount of heat, banter, stabby moments and a great storyline. Last Word is the finale to Vienna's story with her men in search of her father's killer.

There were twists throughout that I will not spoil, but while I called some of them, others caught me off guard. I'm a sucker for the wronged getting their revenge and my only wish is that we could have understood more about why the bad guy did what he did. It left it somewhat open, so maybe that means there's room for more in this world? I hope so!

I liked the side characters we got to meet/get to know more of in this book and I wouldn't mind reading about them in their own stories in the future. I didn't think this was the best book of the series, but it was still enjoyable and kept me entertained. I 100% recommend trying out this series and I hope we get more from this world, there's so much room to expand!

“There isn’t anything they won’t do for her and no one they won’t take on.”

4⭐️ This final installment ripped my heart out in the best and worst ways. The emotional weight of the carryover plot twist from the last book was brutal. I hated what the characters had to go through in those early chapters—it physically hurt. I’ve grown so deeply attached to this found family that experiencing their pain was almost too much to bear.

The plot is layered, complex, and beautifully executed. Despite the intricacy, I was never lost—just fully immersed in the chaos, emotion, and action. The pacing was perfect, with tension, heartbreak, and heat balanced so masterfully that I never wanted to put it down.

Whychoose just hits different when the author crafts each relationship with this much care. Rick, Fletcher, and Cash each bring something unique and necessary to the dynamic. Their chemistry with the FMC was electric—tender one moment and explosive the next. This trio isn’t just swoon-worthy—they belong to her, and you feel that with every page.

This book wraps up an unforgettable series with raw emotion, thrilling action, and deep, resonating love..

An epic conclusion to an unexpected, haunting series. This series was not my typical read being a psychological thriller, but the characters grab on to you and don't let go.

With Vienna's father returning to the scene, she has to figure out how to make room for him again. He's changed so much and she is desperately trying to sift through the lies and half truths while uncovering a very large phantom network. Cash, Fletcher and Rick are like magnets to her. They each bring something so different yet vital to their little family dynamic. One thing is for sure, no matter how much Vienna's father doesn't approve, she never backs down and won't ever give them up. And all three of them feel exactly the same about her.

It's fierce and intense but there is just enough whit and laughter to balance the bloody scenes. If you are looking for a thriller with a twist, the Cardinal Sin series will suck you in. Lots of great surprise moments and where the story leads makes you keep turning the page. I'm going to miss these characters.

Without spoilers, it is hard for me to talk about the story in Last Word. What I CAN say is that it has some startling revelations that knocked me off my seat. It had an amazing conclusion. It had a big question: DID it end?

I loved it! There were some really funny dialogues – mostly in Fletcher’s head, but still – that just endeared the adorable hacker to me even more than he already was. For me, Rick rose to the front as the leader, or heart as the boys put it, of the group and kept them all on a forward path – together. Even Cash was an upright guy; who knew he had it in him? And Vienna. I think she grew into herself the most. The book was all about this new family, the rest of the world could hang. It was the best!

Lots of intrigue. Lots of action. Lots of retribution. Lots of forgiveness. Lots of hawt lovin’. Really bad folks to despise. Smart alecks to ‘not like’. The best part to me was the four people who found each other and then couldn’t exist apart. Dang, this series was a wild ride! Loved it!

Finding Everything You Never Knew You Ever Needed

Rick was steadfast and immutable, my absolute port in the storm. Cash was the storm, he would continue to lash at my defenses until I chose to open the door and let him in. Then my sweet Fletcher, for all his colorful blustering, he was the colorful fire that kept us all warm. Our heart. Infinitely more precious for how deeply he experienced every emotion.

These men made everything okay. They brightened my dark moments and gave warmth to the cold. Each one brought something unique and different to our family dynamic and I couldn’t see this bond we built ever breaking. My men were each irreplaceable.

# # # # #

When I started this journey, it had been with one goal and one goal only — find the man or men who’d murdered my father. It had been a twisted, winding path that took me to unexpected places inhabited by delightful men. They filled in every corner of my life with warmth, love, and passion.

Fulfilling finale 💀
Yes yes yes 🙌🏻 this ending ties everything up perfectly and addresses questions you didn’t even realise you had!!
Picking up instantly after the shocking find in book three - but the response/reaction couldn’t be further from what you expect….there’s definitely someone/something behind the scenes manipulating things here! These two authors are fantastic at keeping you on your toes guessing who actually is friend and who is foe!! 😬😬
With more and more questions building about whatever this Red Death maybe it’s crucial that now more than ever Vienna knows who is in her corner with the risk and danger continuously rising 😖 thankfully she has her three devoted men: Rick who is her absolute rock; Fletcher who brings a lightness to her life; and Cash who challenges and drives her - all reminding her what it is to live, coming together as family unit….but oh boy does Vienna have some epic 🔥🔥🔥moments!
A total mind blowing series that continually keeps you guess long as well as providing an epic romance woven into a brilliant plot! Highly recommend this series 😃
