There are a lot of ways to impress Normandy Blake. Unfortunately for Brandon Carmichael, being a billionaire isn’t one of them.
Normandy Blake and her half-sister Chelsie just inherited Mischief Motors from their late father, Victor. The company is the most elite private car service in Las Vegas, serving the wealthy and the lucky, and the sisters are desperate to keep it that way. But news of their father’s death has mixed reactions from their clients and competitors. And when Victor’s connection to the Vegas underworld surfaces, all bets are off.
One of the top tech companies in the world is holding its annual board meeting in Las Vegas, and its CEO, Brandon Carmichael, wants to pay his respects to his late friend Victor while he’s in town. Before the meeting, an insider trading scandal has his company’s stock plummeting and the SEC breathing down his neck, putting his reputation on the line.
When Normandy and Brandon meet, sparks fly, but not in the fun 'theme park fireworks’ way; more like the ‘metal in the microwave’ kind.
If they can get past the friction, they might be able to help each other. They will need all the help they can get, but be careful who you trust in Vegas.
Book #1 of the Drive Me Wild Series is a (one-sided) enemies-to-lovers romantic suspense novel for readers who like a little steam, a side of humor, and a dash of drama with their romance. The series features stand-alone stories of Mischief Motors’ women and the men who think they can handle them.

Ms. Fortune Drive Me Wild, Book 1 By: Amy Booker Narrated by: June deBorahae, Ryan Lee Dunlap
Amy Booker’s first book in her “Drive Me Wild” series is an amazing enemies-to-lovers romantic suspense. She is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style and a creative mind, the storylines she creates are interesting and original, and captivate your attention from start to end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Normandy Blake’s dad passed away, leaving her and her half-sister, Chelsie, his company, Mischief Motors, which he loved and built up over years, an elite private car service in Las Vegas that caters to the rich and even richer. But they inherit not only his company, but they inherit trouble too, trouble with a rival who is a connected crime family. Billionaire Brandon Carmichael used Mischief Motors often for himself and clients, and over the years he had become friends with Victor Blake, they shared the same love of cars and was sorry to hear about his passing. When he heard his daughter, Normandy, was going to be running the business, he looked her up and what he saw blew him away, her beauty captured his eye and he wanted to meet her. But talk about awkward and messed up first impressions, that is exactly how it went for Brandon. And that was just on the phone, and seeing her in person at the funeral does not go much better. But he is determined to get to know her and wants her to get to know him, so he is not about to give up on her and comes up with a plan that will benefit both of them. There are a lot of layers to this cleverly plotted story, and it contains plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, some twists and turns, thrilling suspense and a wonderful enemies-to-lovers romance. Amy Booker, thank you for another amazing story and a wild emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧And for the wonderful narration, June deBorahae and Ryan Lee Dunlap did a great job of bringing these characters and their story to life. Their portrayal of the characters was spot on, giving each a voice that fit their character’s persona and was believable in every role they played. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fabulous listen.
This is book 1 in Booker's Drive Me Wild series. I absolutely adored this romance read! Its sweet and steamy with suspense. I loved the dual point of view as well. Well written and captivating, our main characters are Normandy (love this unique name btw) and Brandon. Normandy is strong and independent. Brandon is a billionaire and famous due to his wealth. He is captivated by Normandy from the moment he sees her image but Normandy makes him work for it. I really think that my favorite thing about this book is that while its clear Brandon has wealth, Booker still writes his character in a way most of us can relate to. I also love so many of the supporting characters too...Chelsea, Bianca, Saint Sophie and more. I can't wait to see what Booker will do next in this series!

They say not to judge a book by its cover so I try not to but, I have to admit, I slightly did when I first saw the cover of this book. Despite my doubt, I decided to claim a copy and now, I DO NOT REGRET IT. This book was amazing! The chemistry between Normandy and Brandon! The blatant love and adoration that you could see as the story carried on. The emotions throughout their journey were right along with theirs, happy, sad, angry, frustrated, and soaring. A nice read (and one that doesn’t place too much emotional damage)!.

A story in which a lot happens with and between Normandy and Brandon.
When Brandon learns that a close friend has passed away, he wonders what will happen to his friend's business. Pleasantly surprised when he learns that his daughter, Normandy, will continue it. Since he has never heard of her before, he has a background check done on her and sees her picture. In fact, he is sold. The intensity emanating from the photo overwhelms him. As a billionaire he is used to a lot but not the way he feels in her presence. Unsure of how to approach her, their first encounters are awkward. Despite that, he convinces her that a fake relationship will do both of them good. For her because this is good publicity for her business, for him because it distracts from the judicial problems that his ex got into. The relationship grows but Normandy keeps her heart closed due to previous experiences. How can Brandon tear down the wall around her heart?
And when Brandon thinks he can do it, Normandy is kidnapped and Brandon can't save her despite all his millions. Normandy has lost her faith in Brandon and corners him with her former exes.
All in all, many elements for a good story. Only Normandy's reaction made the story cold to me. Only at the end does she come across as warm to me. Brandon was rock solid from the start. His fault was the credulity with which he approaches everything All in all 3.5*.

Drive Me Wild is a new series from Ms Booker, and I must say it grabbed my attention from the start. Ms Booker is a new author to me and this is also the first book I read by her. Normandy and Brandon's story is well written with enough suspense and enough romance and steamy scenes. They must overcome obstacles to come together and finally admit that they love each other and cannot live without each other. I thought it was a fun and enjoyable book to read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely.
A fantastic read, full of twists, with business struggles for both of them and a shared grief that brings them to first meet, Brandon and Normandy seem an unlikely couple, Brandon is sweet, trying everything he knows to get past the walls Normandy has up, Normandy has been hurt in the past and doesn’t trust her own judgment, can they overcome all obstacles to be together!!.

Brandon is a smokin billionaire who meets regular girl-next-door Normandy, at her father’s funeral. After unsuccessfully trying to get her to go on a date with him, he decided to pull out the “let’s fake date” card. Throw in some wit, banter, spice and a kidnapping and a break up or two I really enjoy this book and will eventually read the rest of the series but I must say Normandy really started to annoy me.. big time!
Brandon is the most adorable alpha male. He would do absolutely anything for his lady, we should all be so lucky. I love how we see and understand his insecurities as he tries to negotiate a relationship with Normandy. She has issues of her own to deal with following the death of her father. Unknown nefarious sources are at work to destroy the couple before they really get started.
Love this book, it’s so good, well written with strong likeable characters, a good deal of suspense and eventually a HEA. I loved the last few chapters that felt like extended epilogues - always love discovering what happened next
Definitely would recommend this book, I can’t wait for the next in series to be published.

This story is a journey! The number of emotions are insane. Whether at the characters or for them. I honestly am a little emotionally exhausted after this one.
The characters are amazingly build and grow thought the story. Well written, and keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end! A must read/listen.
Ms Fortune was my first book from Amy Booker and I’m pleasantly surprised. The book had not only just romance but also some angst, mystery, humour and steamy moments.
The brilliant June deBorahae and Ryan Lee Dunlap voice Normandy and Brandon and truly bring their story to life.
This was an entertaining story! It was a fun slow burn, with plenty of heart and heat. The characters were delightful together. Normandie was a little tougher to get to like, she stayed a little too stubborn for my liking. Though I do believe it her tough exterior works with her characterization because of her past experiences. Brandon was adorably awkward with Normandie! Having his awkward interactions with Normandie told from his perspective were wonderful. It has fun mob-type suspense element to it with plenty of romance, too. There is steam, swearing, some violence (not explicit, but really there's a mob connection in the story, no violence in that would be difficult).
I'd recommend this story for anyone searching for a romantic suspense type story or anyone needing a story with wonderful characters who are adorable together.
I enjoyed both narrators! I thought they did a good job with the voices. I listened to the story at 1.1x speed.
Brandon and Normandy go through a few obstacles before admitting their love for one another. The story has just the right amount of suspense to keep it exciting. I enjoyed reading Ms. Fortune.
Amy Booker is a new author for me and I will definitely be checking out more of her work !
I loved :
The cover ( what initially got my attention) and book blurb Great main characters in Normandy and Brandon Corporate setting Fake dating but instant attraction Good chemistry Smart and snarky heroine Great storyline Happily Ever After

Normandy and Brandon were not impressed with each other upon meeting at her father's funeral. He is having trouble with an insider trading scandal. Her problems are with the Vegas underworld. When they decide to help each other they find out that they work better as lovers instead of enemies.

Loved the dual narration of June deBorahae and Ryan Lee, perfect
This book has romance, drama and suspense. The story is full of secrets, deceptions, twists and turns. Normandy is not impressed with Brandon meeting at her father's funeral. He is having trouble with an insider trading scandal. Her problems are with the Vegas underworld. Brilliant
I have read this author in the past and again this story did not disapppoint. I got pulled into it from the start. I loved the storyline, the characters, the fact that it was written in the first person.

Ms. Fortune Drive Me Wild, Book 1 By: Amy Booker Narrated by: June deBorahae, Ryan Lee Dunlap
Amy Booker certainly knows how to write a fun romance, with some thrilling twists and turns to make it exciting! Victor Blake's death brings a lot of people to is funeral, and Brandon Carmichael is just one. He pays his respects to Victor's daughters, and is immediately taken with Normandy. So much so that he is constantly putting his foot in his mouth. But he is determined to win her over. Normandy is a tough one to open her heart, but slowly his charm does just that. Once Normandy and her sister Chelsea took over their father's car business, they soon found out the dire straits they are in. Plus a threat to their company is evident. Now with the help of Brandon, there may be light at the end of their tunnel. But the danger is much more serious than expected. Will Brandon keep her safe and save their company? Secrets, deceptions, passions, twists and turns we don't see coming all make this listen incredibly interesting. There is nothing better than a good plotted story laced with passion. Booker has this opening story to her new series nailing it and I couldn't have enjoyed it more.
Telling us this fabulous story is June deBorahae and Ryan Lee Dunlap. deBorahae is new to me, and she give us an amazing performance. She understands Normandy, all her layers and emotes them in a way that is easy to feel each one. Dunlap is fantastic as he is the super confident Brandon, tripping over himself and finding that everything does not go his way. He gives his all the feelings and we hear him! This is a great pairing and wonderful narration!
Audio gifted for review, narration is good and fits the theme of the story.
Fmc is a little ridiculous and I wasn’t a fan. Mmc was a little the same but the complete opposite side of the coin.
I didn’t by into the relationship and I thought it was just a little to unrealistic for me since i was expecting contemporary chic lit. Fmc was to hard on mmc and mmc was just too overly into fmc straight away. He’s apparently good looking and a billionaire ….. I just don’t understand the draw of the dmc for him once he’s shut down more than once …..
I listened to the audiobook narrated by June deBorahae and Ryan Lee Dunlap. They did a great job with the narration and I'm sure that I liked the story more because I listened to it.
This was the first book I've listened to by Amy Booker. It is a stand alone story, and I would be interested in listening to more of the series.
I received a copy of the audiobook at my request, and the opinions here are my own.
This book was okay, but not more that this. I really didn't care for the heroine - she presented herself as a strong woman, but blamed the hero for her misfortune, which he had no part in, because "he promised everything will be okay". Really? The narrators were okay. I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ms. Fortune had a balance of romance, drama and suspense. The story is full of secrets, deceptions, twists and turns. Overall I think it was well written but it was just missing something to push it over the edge to be fantastic.
This is a nice little romance that made a quick afternoon's read. It's pretty predictable and the characters seem so so familiar. I think I kept waiting for the sparks to fly and they really didn't. Not a bad book at all but not one I'm raving about. I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway for this honest review.
