A lot can change in the years after high school. But a lot can stay the same too. For Chelsie Blake, it’s both.

Mischief Motors is the most elite private car service in Las Vegas, and half-sisters Chelsie Blake and Normandy Carmichael are its co-owners. They don't always see eye-to-eye on how to run the business, and they especially don't agree with Chelsie's attraction to one of their new employees - rugged mechanic Noah Thompson. He also happens to be Chelsie’s former high school crush, who embarrassingly shot her down once upon a time, and never really knew she existed.

Let’s just say he knows now.

With that painful past, and despite the sparks flying between them, it may take an outside force to bring these two together. A force of nature in the form of a sweet old widow who binds them to each other in surprising ways.

Book #2 of the Drive Me Wild Series is a contemporary romance novel for readers who like a little steam, a side of humor, and a dash of drama with their romance. The series features stand-alone stories of Mischief Motors' women and the men who think they can handle them.

Ms. Chief
Drive Me Wild, Book 2
By: Amy Booker
Narrated by: Lilly Drake, Bryant Walker

Amy Booker, you have done it again! Take my heart! It's ok! This book is so good, I could not stop listening to it! There is something about Booker's writing style that gives easy to relate to characters and a story that could happen to anyone. This one features Chelsie, sister to Normandy who we met in the first book of this series. Chelsie and Normandy have taken over their father's car service, and when in need of a mechanic, Noah is hired. Yes, he is qualified, but he is also the boy who Chelsie crushed on in high school and who he totally embarrassed. Even years later, it's hard to get over. But people change, right? When the two go to meet Mrs. Bailey to check out her husband's collection things change. Is it maturity? Is it fate? Is it Mrs. Bailey? But a leopard can't change it's spots and the hurt Chelsie carries is easily ripped open. How will it all work out? This is a fun read, with a thread of relevance woven in. Chelsie and Noah are fantastic characters. Chelsie is smart, on top of things and has a big heart. Noah is a little more guarded, and needs a little extra push. But it's Mrs. Bailey who steals the show. This elderly woman has wisdom and charm! This is an easy, funny, sweet, loving, spicy listen, just what you need now!

Lilly Drake and Bryant Walker are wonderful as the cast of this narration. Drake fits Chelsie to a "T". She is sweet, caring and vulnerable all while keeping her business smarts in tact! Love it! Walker is charming as Noah, a little aloof, but keeps his confidence until he can't. It's perfect! I loved this team and enjoyed their performance.

4.5 Stars.
This is Chelsie's story, who was also in Normandie's story, and she gets to have her own happily ever after. The characters added in this story were delightful! Especially Mrs. Bailey, sorry Janette. She was positively wonderful and completely knew what she was doing when she had Chelsie and Noah coming to her home. I liked the dynamic of this story; it's less involved with the business than the first one and allows for other things to happen and other avenues to be explored. Like protecting an old woman from those who would do her harm. Chelsie and Noah each get the opportunity to grow for themselves in this story and their journey was wonderful!
I loved the epilogue!
The book can be enjoyed as a standalone, but I'd recommend reading/listening to the first book before enjoying this one because it's also a good book and it's a nice intro to Chelsie.

I liked the dual narrators! They each did a great job with the characters and their voices. My only drawback from that is on the female narrator's chapters, she voiced everything, including the male leads voice, and vice versa with the male narrator. I would have preferred if the female narrator could have voiced the female characters in the male narrated chapters and vice versa. I listened at 1.1x speed because I'm an impatient person.

Chelsie liked Noah in high school but there was a humiliating incident that he's forgotten but she hasn't. Now she's become his boss as Noah replaces the former head mechanic Wayne Bailey who recently died, and she has to figure out how she feels about him now and if she can ever forgive the past. Noah and Chelsie make the acquaintance of Wayne's widow and help comfort her and take care of her affairs. Mrs. Bailey likes to matchmake and she thinks Noah and Chelsie would be good together. Wayne and his wife had been married 65 years so Wayne must have been working well into his eighties. Mrs. Bailey is also elderly so Noah and Chelsie worry about her health and well-being. They're unsure if a stranger that crops up can be trusted.

I liked the writing style and enjoyed this story overall. This romance stands alone and I didn't feel like I was missing anything because I haven't read the first book in the series. There is some sexual content.

I was looking forward to Chelsea’s story and was not disappointed. The story starts with another funeral…this time it’s MM longtime mechanic, Mr. Bailey. This means that sisters, Normandy and Chelsea have to start searching for a replacement. That replacement is non other than the guy who broke Chelsea’s heart in hs…Noah. She has him pegged as a bad guy but, as she observes him gently consoling, the. helping the grieving Mrs. Bailey, Chelsea has to admit that grown up Noah has…well, grown up! The chemistry is undeniable and we watch as the pair become a loving couple. A tiny bit of drama with a con woman trying to swindle Mrs. Bailey but she’s quickly dealt with. Great ending…swooooon! This series is in my TBRA…to be read again…list!

Chelsea and Noah

This was super interesting to see how Normandy comes off too other people. I was mad at her for telling Chelsea don't date him but she was also pushing them together. Mrs. Bailey was too good for this world! I loved her character so much!! Such an outstanding series!!.

I was so excited to listen to this story. I absolutely loved every minute of the first story in the series. Yes, this is the second story in the "Drive Me Wild" series but can be enjoyed as a stand alone read. It does have connected characters but that does not matter. This one is about Chelsie and Noah. She is one of the owners of "Mischief Motors" with her half-sister. The first story was about her half-sister. Noah is a new employee and was Chelsie's high school crush. These two are great together. I loved how this story developed from beginning to end. I actually listened to the audio version and thought the narrator did a great job bringing this story to life.

This is the second book in the Drive Me Wild series. It is a standalone but does give an update on the characters from the first book. It is an engaging and captivating story. Filled with emotional baggage, a struggle to find truth, and a chance for redemption make this a truly wonderful book. The characters are well developed with the vulnerability of both characters showing their imperfections and insecurities.

Loved the book.

This is book 2 in Booker's Drive Me Wild. I loved book 1 and the world Booker created for us here and in Noah and Chelsie's story we've returned to the world of cars and motorcycles as well as drama and love. I was captivated from start to finish and love the writing style as well as this storyline. Great steamy chemistry and a perfect HEA. Can't wait to see what's next to come from Booker!

This part is again in the world of motorcycles and the story of Noah and Chelsie. Both have a baggage and have insecurities and doubts both in themselves and towards others, yet you can easily empathize with them because some of the things they struggle with we also have to deal with in real life. And they also showed a vulnerable side of them. The characters and their character develop in a beautiful way and I also enjoyed this book. Can't wait to see what else comes from this author.

Well I loved the first book and I couldn’t wait to read the second . Back into the world of mischief motors, this time it’s Chelsie and Noah’s story. I love it, loved the vulnerability of both characters, their insecurities and imperfections, the way they moved past their history and developed their relationship. Mrs Bailey was a hoot and we got to catch up on Normandy and Brandon.

A great read, I really hope theres more to this series.

Audiobook Review

Ms Chief is the second book in the Drive me Wild series by Amy Booker. Ms Booker is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors. Her characters are relatable and the stories she writes could be the stories of anyone you know.
Just like the previous book this one had so much to offer. There’s a little bit of romance, a little bit of mystery, some drama and some humour.
To top it all off the narrators were absolutely brilliant.

Is it possible to recover from having your heart torn apart but a careless act, Chelsie is enjoying her life, running the business with her sister, she is smart successful and gorgeous, but all it takes for old wounds to surface is for Noah to enter her office. The problem is Noah doesn’t remember her, can they work together with the not just the past between them, but also the sizzling attraction they share? A great book filled with emotional baggage, a struggle to find the truth and a chance at redemption, loving this series, looking forward to more!.

This is the 2nd book in the drive me wild series. The story is about the couple chelsie and Noah. Noah is chelsies old high school crush.. and he now works for her and her half-sister. She still has an intense attraction to Noah (who turned her down when she tried to get a shot with him before) Noah has an attraction to her as well. They fight the attraction for a while until they don’t anymore. The story flowed well and keeps you interested. HEA.

Ms Brooks creates characters and situations that feel real. Noah is a complex man who made mistakes but is willing and determined to make the change and get things right. Chelsie has been hurt and has high walls, but somehow, Noah seems to get through them. Emotions run high - anger, grief, love and joy. Mrs Bailey is brilliant and everyone should have a friend like her. I’m thoroughly enjoying this new series, loving the HEA and looking forward to the next books.
