As author Eloise Jennings points out, this is really two books in one. Jennings does a wonderful job explaining the point of the DASH ((Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet and its particulars. However, the second half, which is supposed to be a cookbook has very few recipes. Skip this book and get DASH Diet Cookbook for Beginners: Transform Your Health with Simple, Tasty Low-Sodium Recipes for 2000 Days. Boost Energy, Lower Blood Pressure, and Lose Weight with Our 70-Day Meal PlanJ. While not great, it’s better on recipes.

great breakdown about the Diet

Great explanation about the diet but lack of variety in menu items and recipes make this more an informative brochure about the diet.
But over all a nice informative book.
