THE ARCHITECTS ARE COMING
Mysteries abound in the new world: who are the so-called architects that built the Menagerie System? Why are people being brought to Novus, and why is no one allowed to leave?

With dozens of new arrivals appearing by the day, the abductees must hurry to organize themselves if they are to defend against the many dangers on Novus.

Meanwhile, trouble is looming on Earth. With the discovery of Planet B’s healing water, superpowers are racing faster than ever to colonize the new world.

Little do they know, someone is coming to colonize the old one—and not for any of the reasons they might think.

First off, I didn't read book 1 of this series. But the author gave a pretty detailed synopsis of what happened in it. (which I probably should have reread a few chapters in) He did also warn you if you want to read Book 1 don't read the synopsis, go read it now. lol
It took me a while to get into this story. Probably because I didn't read the 1st one. It took a bit to figure out the time hops from Earth to Planet B, but then I realized it's the same time, just compressed on Planet B. I like how the "new" to planet B people figured stuff out and how the ladies were just as smart and heroic as the men. Often more so.
I feel like many of the characters could have been more developed in the story, but perhaps this is again due to not reading the 1st of the series.
Probably the last 30% of the book was my favorite. It was more intense and gripping. It does make you want to read the next to see if Earth survives.
I usually think about if this could actually happen when reading Sci Fi. This one seems doubtful. Mostly the building of the "Menagerie" of planets, but hey, who knows. I kinda want to know what is on the other planets now. ;)

Fascinating and thought provoking.

I am and have been a Sci Fantasy reader for 55 years , started at 13 with The Hobbit , (thus ending my fascination with Harlequin Romances 😂), but also a Sci-Fi fanatic at the same time with Star Trek and then all the movies and Tv shows of the Sci-Fi genre , but not the books, finding them too technical ,mechanical , written more for men, lately I have been finding Fantasy books predictable as I read so many and decided to dip my toes in something more challenging , and I came across Planet B , read it in 3 days, just finished 2nd book in 2 days and am moving on to 3rd . I am so surprised at how much I am enjoying the “Architects of the Apocalypse” series. Love the plots lines , you get end of earth stuff, dinosaurs, aliens, and lots of other things, don’t want to reveal too much. Needless to say , I am so happy to have decided to read this series. Recommend!

Received as an ARC, this is an honest review. The amazing and wickedly complex story continues with this second book. A nice touch with this book is it provides a well detailed synopsis from the first book of the series that for those whom go into blind into a series can do this. Planet B is an amazing, wacky world that and lush and beautiful... and perfectly dangerous for all of the unfortunate people brought to it. All they want is Axel to explain it all, and how to get home but first they have to survive not only crazy ass dinosaurs but also Russian soldiers and their own agenda. It's race to find a future, save a bizarre planet... and everything is it a high stake. A great, worthy adventure. Highly recommended.

It's the 2nd of 3 books by Jasper T Scott with a change from the first one, we find out what the main characters are becoming and there is a lot more happening on Earth. Who are the watchers? The first book was more on Planet B and this is more evenly split. The jackar (can't remember if I spelt that correctly?) are still causing trouble for the human inhabitants so nothing is changing there, cannot see that ending in this book though!

I raced through the first book but I've been struggling to read recently so this took me a while to get around to finishing. That's no direct issue with the writing as by the end of this I'm asking myself why? Think I've just needed a break? Can't wait for the next one to come out now!

This is the continuation of the story from the book Planet B. It is the second book in the series of Architects of the Apocalypse.

Wow! another fast ride with aliens, dinosaurs, ancient people who want to capture and make slaves of the people who arrive on this planet which humans have named Planet B, but the natives call Novus.

Who are the Architects? Why has no-one seen them? What is their object for the new solar system? Why have they let the Jakar capture the minders? Why does Axel lie about everything?

Jasper, hurry up and write the next book in this series. I wait impatiently for it.

I received this book as an ARC and am leaving my honest review.

Better than the first book. All the original characters are still annoying as hell, but the new Army Rangers (particularly the Major) help make up for it. The plot line continues to get more interesting as the book reveals what's really going on.

I'm debating whether to listen to book 3. The conflict between the two alien races seems like it could be interesting. But, I'm not sure if putting up with the petty drama and terrible decisions by the humans is worth trying to find out. Especially Bruce. I'm not sure he has a single line that doesn't make him seem like a complete asshole, despite it not seeming like the author intended that.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Jasper T. Scott, you continue to amaze at the stories you write. If this is only a portion of what's in your mind, it truly amazes me with what else you could come up with. To continue following the adventures of Alice, Axel,, Layla, Tom, Preston, Bruce and all the others as they deal with life on Planet B, or Nexus, well, it was just so enthralling. I literally had a hard time stopping to take a break. And this story will continue come October 2022. Can't wait. Thanks again for keeping me entertained for hours Jasper.

You'll learn more about who the Architects are and aren't in this book of the series, but it is still more fights with dinosaurs and primitive humans than anything else. You'll also find out that Axel, the liar, and Layla have much more in common than previously thought. Their abilities and the abilities of other Minders and other aliens adds some interesting spice. I care about many of the characters more than in the previous novel because we've spent more time together now. But there are still a lot of characters who are just simplistic stereotypes of what people can be.

What a ride!

This sequel takes off where the first book finished.

I loved the way it unfolded, the development of each character expands and gets deeper.

The adventure grows with a spiral roller coaster plus a corkscrew or two.

The “No way out” situations will have you hanging on the edge of your seat.

Just when you think it can’t get worse, it does.

The chaos created on many fronts is accelerating and fresh.

As the second of a three part series Planet B Worlds Collide is very satisfying.

I can't wait for the final instalment.

Fun, original sci fi

Jasper Scott consistently writes original books that keeps me turning the pages to the end. Book 1 of the series has Alien species planting new plants near earth. What? Is that even possible? In book 2, we find out how this threatens Earth and maybe much further. Fun book

Worlds Collide, book 2 of Architects of the Apocalypse. Well another entertaining book, plenty of action and more revelations in the story unfolding. A more militaristic aspect to the story than the previous book, more complications for the main characters, some deaths to contend with, all in all a decent read.

Non stop action

I found this series to be very engaging, the characters are well designed, and they endear themselves to you very early in the storyline. This book is another great work by Mr Scott. Always a pleasure to read the books written by him.

The journey continues....

...but greater knowledge does not mean more understanding, and the abducted make a right mess, getting some killed and locating others and getting them killed, and then, a surprise baby, rescuers that get trapped, invaders on Earth, and more....

The 2nd book is even better than the first book. I don’t do spoilers but it’s a real mail biter.

We’re still on Planet B and haven’t figured out if it’s good or bad. Axel is taking so much heat but I feel partly because he’s only 17 and grown adults like his former high school friends are not going to listen to him.

Layla is transported back to earth right as the US is sending Army Rangers to Planet B. While the rangers are headed to Planet B, they receive notification that the rendezvous sight is compromised making their landing much more difficult. The Jakar have captured Tom, Bruce, Axel and Alice and they hope the Rangers can find them. All the while the watchers or architects have invaded earth. Their rule will not be easy potentially causing the entire earth to lose its population. What makes it more interesting, we meet the original Minders who have been on Earth seemingly since the Dawn of man.

Worlds Collide, second book in Architects of the Apocalypse series, is an excellent and fantastically riveting full of action, thrills and imaginative surprises. I read it nearly non-stop because I just had to know what happened on the next page. The characters are realistic and relatable but the storyline is extremely and uniquely creative. So, stop reading my review and get yourself a wonderful gift: both books in this series.
