Al Tunsil might be the deadliest man ever to be transported in the prison wagon. So deadly that extra men are tasked with protecting the wagon, and the two old teamsters that drive it, from the very man they've got locked inside. And Tunsil isn't the only problem, there are powerful men trying to have the wagon stopped and the prisoner set free. Money and blood are of little concern as both are expended freely in an attempt to free Tunsil.
First book I have read by this author. It is a well contrived story and well thoughtout. What I appreciated most was the cowboys associated with transporting the prisoner were smart thinking; thinking and anticipating what could go wrong. In the end they outwitted the gang members trying to free the prisoner. The only issue I had with the story was the involvement of Cooley & Berger was not followed up on.
