The exploration of astrological elements, signs, and their integration into magick is both enlightening and practical, though it predominantly reflects a modern astrological perspective.

I’ve been curious about The Modern Witchcraft book series for a while and I decided to start from a book about a topic I feel like I have still have a lot to learn on, astrology.
The Modern Witchcraft Book of Astrology by Julia Halina Hadas is divided in two parts: in the first one you’ll learn about the signs, the houses and the planets; in the second one, you’ll find spells for every different astrological season, from Aries to Pisces.
I actually didn’t expect there will be any spells at all in this book, so that was a pleasant surprise, especially because the spells are not overly complicated and they require ingredients you’ll easily find in your cupboard. If you’re a witch that loves crystals, then you’ll like this book since crystals are heavily involved in the magical work featured in these pages.
Julia Halina Hadas is also the creator and author of Witchcraft Cocktails, so it’s no surprise that some of the spells included are drinkable “potions” and I have to say they sound truly delicious and I’m definitely gonna try them out.
This book is perfect if you’re taking your first steps into the huge subject that is astrology in relation to magick and witchcraft and if you’re looking for down to earth spells that don’t require never-heard-before ingredients.

Excellently written book, very informative, lots of useful information theaming astrology across many magical modalities. I highly recommend it and it's a great reference book to have after you've read it.
