How to Invest is a very factual overview of investment types and processes. The book explains pros and cons of each approach detailed and cites in depth analysis. This book serves as an excellent point of reference for those learning the world of investment.

As dry as you can expect from the Economist. Strong on facts but nothing that you will not learn in a Finance MBA course.

the book is thorough on the vocabulary for investing but vague on specifics like specific funds that fit their criteria. They talked about global diversity but little on how to manage that other than consult a financial planner. So I was disappointed yet not surprised as many books talk in general terms but the specifics are generally absent and carry more risk.
