The Power Rangers comics are back to one ongoing series. This concludes the previous ongoing series with issue #100! The Death Ranger has possessed the Omega Rangers. Andros asks the earth rangers for help
Omega vs MMPR
Great graphics for fight scenes as well as banter. Arkon’s warrior outfit is awesome. Journey talking to Trini while fighting is both funny and heartbreaking
The art panels! Jason goes down memory lane. There’s art from various artists that have worked on the Power Rangers comics. I loved seeing the different style.
This is a beautiful conclusion to the arc. It sets up new exciting adventures.
New story with #101 Potential new romances are in the air.
So is Mistress Vile!
I absolutely give this volume a 5/5. A great conclusion to the story while paying homage to all the comics leading up to this. I’m excited to see where it goes next.
Well, I’m finally caught up with Power Rangers (in trades) and after having read this new beginning, I’m excited again for the new journey ahead! There are ways that this book has almost started over, but different elements that are changed in some major ways. With what has been setup so far, I’m looking forward to reading this as the trades come out in real time now!
I wanted to call this a little short at only three issues, but I forgot that #100 is extra-sized. The Recharged era begins with Ryan Parrott and his artistic cohorts setting up the final battle against the Empyreals, before the new storyline with the new creative team kicks in. It's a bit odd to collect it this way, because anyone picking up the volume will be getting an ending before a beginning, but if you're a long time collector I expect there's no issue.
New writer Melissa Flores grabs the baton without breaking a sweat, handling what went before and propelling the team in some new directions too. It's a bit of a false start since the volume ends so soon after, but it'll entice you to want to pick up the next one at least. And new artist Simona Di Gianfelice can stand proud next to the other Power Rangers artists, because she's great too.
A good 'start', but an odd collection. Still, Power Rangers is as strong as it ever was.
I suppose its unfair but let's face it, Ryan Parrott, Melissa Flores, Power Rangers...this was gonna be a five star! I love me some Power Rangers and now we are getting a new arc! This is the end (?) of the Death Ranger and the start of the Recharged event. Coming after that is the one I'm really interested in which this is building towards! I love this one and look forward to more...always more!
#100 - marks the end of the old storyline #101-102 - marks the start of the new creative team. Character reintroductions and new plot galore ----- There's enough flashbacks included to let new readers in on the MASSIVE amounts of MMPR lore. Fun to see characters that you thought you new, reintroduced as something else completely.
Issue 100 wraps up both Mighty Morphin and Power Rangers arcs, before the following issues launch us headfirst into . While 100 felt a little rushed even with the extra pages, I assume that we haven't actually seen the last of the Death Ranger but I could be wrong. I'm excited to see where this Recharged era goes!
