Imagine waking to a world where every last human has been mysteriously turned to stone...
Hoping to get a lock on Why-Man’s position, the Kingdom of Science builds an imaging satellite. Despite repeated failures launching their rocket, Senku and Xeno are determined to make it succeed! Meanwhile, Chrome and Suika are hard at work on their secret project to ensure the safe return of everyone on the moon mission.
He is a mangaka from Tokyo, Japan. He debuted in October 2001 with Nandodemo Roku Gatsu Jū San Hi, and also wrote for the magazine Square Freeze and Love Love Santa, published in November 2001 and in February 2002 respectively. He later moved to Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump, in wich he won the 7th "Story King" section in the same year.
I feel sad—I've been crying since I started this volume.
It was supposed to be a one-way trip, and the space-traveling team will be stones in the moon for a long time, easier to call them dead. So, Suika and Chrome tried to find a way to make the team come back alive. (Wait, I have amnesia, I can't remember if this part is included here or in the previous volume. Damn, I feel lazy scrolling back.)
The whole crew voted 10/10 for a round trip rather than one way. I mean, of course, these people don't want to sacrifice them. I mean, gosh, if those few panels didn't make you cry, you're harder to crack than the petrification stone.
I feel bad for Ryusui and Tsukasa. I've always been sure that they will be the ones to accompany Senku in space travel. But yes, Kohaku deserves the spot. Still crying tho for Ryusui, that boy, he's such a pure-hearted soul. He puts down his personal desires for humanity's sake. That's my boy. But damn, I weeped when I saw him crying, of course he still wants the spot even though he gave it up for Stanley. That's my boy, you hear. Sacrifices.
Damn, I don't even want to read the following chapters. My hands are still shaking, the last one is released 28 minutes ago and my heart's been pumping so loud ever since 😭 I don't want to say goodbye!!

CRAZYYYY. THEY ARE FINALLY GOING TO THE MOON AND ITS NOT A SUICIDE MISSION AFTER ALL. ITS A TWO WAY TRIP😭😭. I love senku and taijus friendship so much fr. They are so cute and senku has such a soft spot for him. He remembered taiju wanting a smartphone and even made it for him😭😭 Idk how I feel about Stanley being the captain and not ryusui. I almost cried seeing him cry about losing his seat in the rocket😭. He dis the right thing though NOW TO FINALLY FIND OUT WHO WHY MAN IS AND WHY HE PETRIFIED THE ENTIRE WORLD
Dr. Stone's story is finished and volume 26 will be the last one. I will talk about my overall feelings about the series in my final review. I liked this volume in general. Our crew tries to build rockets so they can go to the Moon and finally confront the mysterious Whyman. Most of the book is dedicated to the preparations. I especially liked the astronaut selection process. The book ends with a cliffhanger when the rocket is finally launched with three people in it (not gonna spoil who). As we are getting close to the end, I'm feeling nostalgic and sad. Senku and the others have come a long way from trying to survive in the wild to building rockets to go to the Moon. Recommended!
It was definitely a problem a volume ago but not really felt til now since it really feels like the Shonen Jump people were jumping on the author's back saying "FINISH THE SERIES! FINISHITFINISHITFINISHIT!" but indeed, we're definitely rushing towards the end. Whole pages of panels of stuff happening, no dialogue, and plot conveniences out the wazoo. If you compare how our crew had SUCH an ordeal when they hit the USA, the lil glimpses of the world tour could really have been expounded on. Worse is that the detailed cool little segments of how they get more modern marvels are usually shorted to 1-2 pages. I mean, THEY RECREATED THE INTERNET WITH TEA LEAVES (makes sense in context, but there's low-tech solutions, AND THERE'S STRAIGHT-UP MAGIC!!!)
Other than a couple of other cool 21st century conveniences that we take for granted, the real goal was getting the spacecraft right and then finding the right people for the 3-man crew to confront the great enemy on the moon. How very noble for the natural sailing-ship captain to realize there's somebody better to be the pilot of the rocket to the moon. Character growth!
So happy Taiju finally got his smartphone. I just really like that section where Senku was just making a few last minute inventions for everyone before they left for the moon. Still irrationally upset that Tsukasa and Ryusui aren’t going on the moon mission, all I want is just more chances to look at these handsome men. I’m thankful for that last Luna bit, I was worried she wouldn’t show up at all in this volume. But anyways I’m excited for the last volume.

3.5/5 This volume is all rocket prep and getting the team ready to go to the moon and confront Why-Man. Still fun and interesting. We manage to invent the internet, microwaves, & touchscreen phones and monitors as well. Only one volume left.
Sai, Dr. Xeno, Senku, and Chrome in front of the moon rocket on the cover of volume 25.
The manga was over all good at first, but as the manga goes ignores the sciency stuffs and they build it out of nowhere without any visual like its just handed by the mangaka to quicken the pace of the story.Honestly the ending was... BAD. seriously mechanical parasites? the plot just goes downhill

Would havd loved to kniw how much time has passed and see the characters actually age. In all those years you'd at least expect some romance sub plot, some living standard upgrades. I get it is working up to thd big finale but I miss the small details.
