Al Dente is a very bad dog. He wants your unconditional love, adoration, and attention--and obviously, he deserves it. Why would you even ask that? It's not like you're so perfect!
A hilarious and caustic comic about stubbornly refusing to grow and dragging the haters down with you.
i actually really liked this comic! picked it up because it seemed like a fun art style but i love how short each story is and how damn relatable it is. will be looking out for more from grayson bear!
I picked this up on a whim earlier this year upon my first visit to Fantom Comics in DC. The colors and artwork caught my eye. Al Dente is a dog ruled by the id. In the 5 short stories in this tiny booklet, we see a character with brief thoughts of being a better self eclipsed by much longer durations of anger, revenge, violence, and desire. Captures a kind of endearing, cute, psychotic energy. Goofy, but in the best way.
I thought this was a lil fun comic but the font was off and pulled me out of the story. The first story was also hard to place who was who. Definitely good ideas in here and made me smile.
4.5 rounded up. This perfectly portrays that petty narcissistic person we all know. That petty black-hearted individual who's unhappy and derives joy from making others unhappy that working on themself. And it puts them in a comedic light to show it all with fun semi-cutesy art.
