Losing Control

Rate this book
We werewolves were created for one purpose: to kill vampires. We’re the only real advantage humans have against such perfectly honed predators, but we’re too dangerous and unpredictable to live normal lives. Instead, the Kasnian government keeps us locked up in compounds like the lethal weapons we are.

But I’m different. The smell of vampires doesn't drive me crazy, and I can control my killer instincts better than most, even when I’m in heat. I’ve managed to stay under the radar my entire life, eking out a solitary living as a bartender at a luxury hotel, but when an unexpected vampire guest discovers what I am, I’m at his mercy. He’s intrigued by my self-control, and might just be willing to let me go, if I meet him in his hotel room and do exactly as he says…

If I know anything about vampires, it’s that the only thing stronger than their cruelty and thirst for blood is their unquenchable lust. Maybe it’s my heat talking, but even though I’m terrified, I’ll do anything he commands if it means keeping my freedom…

Oh my gosh! Team Davian and Tessalyn, bay-beeee!

I loooooved this. Dark, but real, but fantastical, but good.

Taryn, the author, did an amazing job of throwing me into a new world where werewolves are inferior and vampires reign. (Love me some vampires #teamedwardforlife). While there’s mythical elements, none of that takes away from the actual plot. It never read silly or like there were creative liberties taken in order to make sense.

This story was believable and “remarkable” (this is in quotes for a reason, but still rings true).

Loved this. I want more.

Can we make #tessavian a thing?
