Give me a good glass of wine and a cat to curl on my lap and I'm a happy camper! Front porch sittin', as Alan Jackson says, is the best way for me to relax.
Friends and family are strong influences in my writing and somewhere, they all make an appearance. Follow my characters on their journey to find 'the one'.
“Home in Paradise” by Kristi Copeland is sassy and so fantastic. I adore the relationship between Julia and Brad. The give and take between them was perfect. I laughed out loud at parts and I got weepy in other parts. The balance in emotions couldn’t have been any better. “The Texas Summer Nights” series perfectly connects and I couldn’t ask for a better Book 2. I highly recommend it. It’s Paradise.
On the surface, Julia and Brad couldn't be any different. When the meet for the first time, Brad needs her professional help - Julia's a Vet. They didn't hit it off, in fact, she kind of hated him for dumping a dog on her proverbial doorstep at 4am.
Read this small-town opposites-attract romance novella to find out why first impressions don't always tell the true story.
The book takes place in a small town, where two people meet that appear to be very different! The small town vibe makes this book easy to fall into and literally feel like you are right in the middle. After a few bumps in the road, it is determined that what appeared to be differences really aren’t. Julia and Brad make this story a sweet romance, working thru misunderstandings to find the bigger love!
I won’t tank an indie author’s ratings with low stars but this just doesn’t seem to be the book or series for me. The writing is not in any way bad and I can see people really enjoying it. However it is very fast paced, instant love barely time for the characters to be enemies before they are lovers. Their problems all stem from moving too quickly and not communicating.
Absolutely loved this cute romance. Loved being able to see glimpses of Max and Lanie and see the friend group interact. For such a short book this has an impressive amount of character depth
