Dwayne is the dark fantastical tale of a young womywho wakes up one morning to find a granite monolith sitting quietly -ominously- in her living room. With no explanation of how it got there, or why, she's determined to get the creepy boulder out of her house. But the insurance company won't help, and she can't afford to remove it herself. At first frightened by it's unexplained appearance, the protagonist eventually forms an uneasy bond with the rock she names Dwayne.

So what does one do with a 15-ton hunk of rock as a room? Throw a party, of course! Soon, our protagonist is internet famous as "Rock Girl," and thriving socially.

But then the rock - which she's named Dwayne - reveals that it's not as immovable as it once seemed...

A friend sent me this book. Wasn’t really thrilled about it, as people are constantly lending me books they want me to read, and I’m not able to get to the ones I bought.

Being only 66 pages it went by quick, but I was pulled into a story about a woman who has a 15 ton boulder appear in her living room with no explanation. How she reacted to it, and society around her was not what one would expect. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since I finished.

Highly recommended!
