3⭐️ This book was middle of the road for me. I absolutely loved Ma Lily’s stories, but the interactions and conversations in between the stories with the family fell flat for me. I was completely engulfed with Ma Lily’s life and all the wild things she experienced throughout it. I just couldn’t get as into the family. Personally, I would’ve liked the book more if it was just a chronological telling of Ma Lily’s life. However I will say, the way the author imagines how small things will be different in the future was interesting. At first I was confused about it because it came out of nowhere and I did not realize it was supposed to be set in the future. But then once I realized it was set in the future, I liked them. I would suggest to read this book if you like stories of all the supernatural kinds.
