Can a fragile human female save an isolated alien warrior?
Life has taught Quinn one inescapable lesson - she will always end up alone. That lesson has never been as painful as when the friends who were kidnapped with her disappear, leaving her abandoned on an alien planet.
When she is sold to a terrifying alien warrior, she expects the worst. Instead, she finds an unexpected kindness behind his forbidding façade. But when he carries her off to his equally forbidding mansion, will she ever find a way back to her friends?
When Dhar was forced to leave his home world, he cut himself off from everything and everyone. His career as a successful gladiator has enabled him to buy the one thing he now values most - his solitude. Until he is gifted with a beautiful, delicate female who brings an unexpected warmth to his isolated existence.
He is determined to keep her. Yet the more time he spends with her, the more he also wishes to please her - but if he gives her what she most wants, will he end up alone forever?
Each book in the Alien Abduction series can be read as a standalone romance. This sweet and steamy romance is intended for a mature audience only.
3.5 stars - This is my kind of sci fi romance... caretaker alpha, a sweet dynamic between the leads, and just the right amount of weird in the smut. Honey Phillips is a go-to for me when I'm in the mood for this kind of story
Even though I got the ARC for Quinn's book, I went back and read Olivia and Panda's books first to get a fuller understanding and enjoyment of the story. I highly recommend that course of action. This trilogy of what happens to three besties after getting abducted will definitely not disappoint. I couldn't wait until the end to find out how the reunion of the three amigas went down.
Quinn was the former foster kid with abandonment issues, who was quiet and seemingly fragile. This always seemed to ether trigger people's protective instincts or unscrupulous men's interest. For all of Quinn's timid nature she had more of a backbone than people gave her credit for.
The Queller, Dhar, was a dedicated warrior who had also faced a childhood with little love and warmth. He is therefore determined to never have a mate or fall in love so that he can't be hurt ever again. When Quinn is given to him as a fighting prize he immediately sees something in her that calls to him. Dhar knows he needs to protect something so beautiful and fragile in this world but he is determined to keep his distance.
This was so good. Both Dhar and Quinn had terrible traumas in their past, and neither knew what the future had in store for them together. I loved how their relationship grew slowly, through seemingly harmless meals and time spent with each other. Quinn had the fortitude to fight for what she wanted and forced Dhar to embrace the crazy chemistry and heat between them. They helped each other let go of the past so they could enjoy the love and support they found in each other.
I loved each of Oliva, Panda, and Quinn's stories. I loved how even though they all started at the same point, being abducted together, their paths all diverged....all with different alien races and cultures and different obstacles to overcome. As always there was wonderful world building and creativity, plus immensely entertaining. Though, on a side note, I am beginning to think that when it comes to what craziness these aliens are packing, descriptions can get a little wonky....so illustrations wouldn't be entirely uncalled for. *wink, wink*
Even though this was an ARC review, I will always shoot you straight. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love this whole series! Great lighthearted story! Amazing world building! All kinds of different aliens with different types of 🍆. It is insta-love and steamy!! Perfect for a quick enjoyable read!!!
Awww what an awesome story. I just loved Quinn and Dhar!!! What a great couple! The world building was incredible. I would highly recommend this book and this series!
Much, much sweeter than I thought it would be, if not a bit simplistic in its outcomes.. Overall a feel good read with a little humor and a lot of heart.
Just finished this beta! A very good end to this trilogy within the Alien Abduction series. This book can stand alone, but is so much better if you read Olivia and the Orc and Panda and the Prisoner, too! Here's the reasons you should read Quinn:
***Dhar! He looks scary, but he’s awesome. And he's so good with Quinn. And his alien "stuff" is a definite PLUS! Honey had me with the purring, too. ***Steamy scenes were just right and just enough and I love how these two work together. They seem to really understand each other and are both (mostly) patient about it. This book was very sensual. ***There's a Beauty and the Beast theme and I'm here for it! ***I LOVE, LOVE this cover! It has Amanda Milo Stolen by the Alien vibes. ***The epilogue was so satisfying. I won't give it away, everything comes together beautifully.
Dhar was a forbidding figure, but a complete softie on the inside for Quinn. And she is an artist, not a fighter. Quinn is sweet, artistic, and gentle. Dhar will do any fighting needed for her. Super sweet story! 4.5 stars
I love how their relationship progressed from him treating her more like a treasure to hide away, to the loving and protecting mate. So sweet that they adopted a little girl and eventually had a child of their own. Loved the reunion between Quinn and her friends.
2.75 castle stars Read it to get the Q for my A to Z reading challenge. In stark contrast to book 1 in the series, the MMC here practices consent. But, I found the FMC too passive and her attraction too insta.
I enjoyed the story of Quinn and the Queller by Honey Phillips. It was the fascinating story of a kidnapping and then a rescue of a human woman and the unexpected luck of being given to a caring, considerate Alien and their ensuing romance.

I love all of Honey Phillips's work! Quinn struggles with abandonment issues from growing up a foster child. It feels like instalove a little on Quinn's part. Dhar had taken a vow of celibacy and doesn't want to fall in love. So you know what happens lol. Lots of steam and good world building.

Thank the gods that I am finished with this series. I’m not sure I could take another one of these books. I am one of those people who have never in my life chased a guy, they have always pursued me. So whenever I read a story about a cute little blonde that attracted football players and married men, but for some reason needed to seduce an alien man into bed with her? Not only is that scenario unbelievably unlikely, but the idea actually pisses me off. If a guy refused to fuck me when I was clearly interested, I’d give up and move on. I don’t care if they’re antiquated gender roles, I would never waste my time seducing a cock. That type of male wouldn’t know what to do with a strong woman anyway. I digress… while I appreciate the love story and the best part of the book was when he showed up to rescue her from kidnappers, the rest of the story fell short. Also, the part where he got her pregnant was super confusing and the author didn’t do a great job explaining the process better.
I stumbled across Honey when I had finished another authors books. I have been on a bit of a sci fi romance blitz. Just something to get lost in other than the norm. Where you can do what you want because it is sci fi.
Trust me you will not be disappointed. I enjoyed this one so much that I am now working my way through all her books. Gotta love Kindle Unlimited.
I loved this. It was a slower and more gentle romance than most abduction tales but it suited the couple very well. Not everyone would respond in the same way and just as some people are pushed to be fierce when they find themselves in a situation that they are uncomfortable with, so do others retreat and become quieter. Olivia (Olivia & the Orc) is definitely the former while Quinn is the later. Her more placid and shy nature has meant that in the past she has been swept along by those of a more forceful personality. Her unquestioning acceptance of others, her lack of curiosity and her preference for calm left her open to being dupe and taken advantage of. It has also led to people to assume that she cannot care for herself, that she is helpless which is not truly the case. So, when she wakes to find that both her friends have gone, she tries to make the best of it. She is sold to the male who runs the gladiators of a large town and given to one of the fiercest, the Quelier. He looks terrifying but maybe if she can please him, it won't be so bad. Dhar, the Quelier, has lived alone for most of his adult life. He has followed certain doctrines from his home planet and these are the rules by which he lives. Solitary and feeling undeserving of mate, he has been somewhat monk like. A way of life he had intended to pursue for his remaining years but that was until a small, beautiful and perfect female was sent to him, Quinn. There is so much about her that he finds interesting. She is so fragile and tiny almost like a doll that a fierce protectiveness for her grows within him. For the first time in his life, he wishes to learn about someone else, to know them. To have some softness, warmth and comfort but such things go against all that he has followed until now. Can he carry on as before now that door has been opened? Could he even go back to how he was before she brought beauty and light into his life? Did I mention I loved this? This is one I know I will come back and re-read often.
𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖/𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒: This was another fun, sweet, enjoyable read! I adore Dhar's character and personality. He is a brutal fighter and dominant species but without knowing him you wouldn't know just how kind and thoughtful he is! He's genuinely so wonderful and it was so sweet to see Quinn be the one to show him love and to open up and accept it, after everyone she had dealt with in her past. They had alot of similarities in that regard and it gave them such a special connection. This was a great addition to the series. A light and easy read. Some really cute moments, a little drama, and lovely reunion between Quinn and the girls, and of course some yummy steamy scenes! The last chapter or two did feel a bit rushed but it didn't really affect the story. Can't wait for the next one!
*REVIEW NOTE: All of my reviews vary, but have a general outline/layout. Some are long, and others are short. Meter ratings determine how the content in the book affected me. They're not solely based on the actual amount of the content within the book, although that does play a role. Any books needing content warnings (imo) will be noted in my reviews. And any closed-door books (no sexual content) will also be noted in reviews.
Quinn’s main personality trait is that she is passive and her main problem to overcome is established to be that men take advantage of that passivity. The problem is the main way she overcomes this issue is random chance and the main way she grows as a character is that she doesn’t.
She is too trusting, and the Queller is pretty much written as the perfect man (well alien) that deserves her trust. The tiny bit of conflict between them is that he’s a bit too overprotective (but not even particularly considering the standards of the genre) and it’s all resolved in a few lines.
The other problem in this book is that the final climax of the plot is easily resolved and in no way related thematically or otherwise to what the characters were doing for most of the book. I guess you can say it’s caused by the Queller being a good guy and that’s one of the themes but it’s a stretch.
Quinn was with two other friends when they were abducted by aliens and ended up on a distant planet. When her two friends disappear she has to accept that she will always be alone. When she is sold to a terrifying alien warrior she expects the worst but unexpectedly finds that she is given unexpected kindness. Then he carries her off to his forbidding mansion she wonders if she will ever find her way back to her friends. When Dhar was forced to leave his homeworld he cut himself off from everything and everyone and instead pursued a successful career as a gladiator. This gave him the wealth to buy everything that he wants including solitude, but when he is gifted a beautiful and delicate female who has gifted warmth to his existence. Determined to keep her, the more time he spends with her the more he also wants to please her but if he gives her want she most wants will he remain alone forever?
I enjoyed this story which closed off the three related stories of friends Olivia, Pandora and Quinn. Her negative view of her worth was quite depressing and so it was great to see that the Queller started off being incredibly respectful of her and her wishes. I loved her determination and care for those near to her as well as her brazen attempts to break Dhar's avoidance of her in a more intimate way. The story took on a dramatic storyline and it was great to see that she was not afraid of him to use his violent nature to defend her and rescue her. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content.
What a incredibly beautiful ending to this last story of the three friends , Olivia, Panda and Quinn. In this story Quinn gets her mate and so much more !! Having been kidnapped along with her friends , and then separated from them one by one , Quinn is feeling pretty miserable ..... She very badly wants to know what happened to her friends, but more importantly, what is going to happen to her on this strange planet . Now, she is all alone. Dhar, is a great fighter, and is wrapping up his season in Almadin. As a courtesy, the fight promoter has gifted him with a female. Dhar was on the verge of sending her back , when he actually looked at her....... Stunning !!! A sort of collector of beautiful things, he decides to keep her. And the adventure begins !! Dhar and Quinn were at times funny and also sad , in their prior experiences , and their differences made them each yearn for the thing that they did not have --- Love . So these two together were pretty awesome !!! I loved the interactions and the descriptions of the places and people they were around . I thought this story was an easy read, and I love the diversity of this world !! So many peoples in the Kaisarian empire !!! And of course , the ending was pretty spectacular , and even though I am sad that this story has ended, I hope that there will be More in this series !!! Loved it ❤❤❤
Quinn is the last of the three friends who were abducted together. Both Olivia and Panda have found love, safety and passion with their mates.. Quinn was sold to the head of the gladiator fights who in turn gave her to his greatest fighter the Queller. Quinn has had a rough life and struggles with abandonment issues she just wants to be accepted and have love and a family of her own. Now she's believes her life is over that is until she's given to the Quller. Dhar's life has been one cruel punishment after another. He keeps himself tightly reigned in and he Dr allows his emotions to control him. That is until he sees Quinn one look and he knows she's a true treasure that needs to be protected. And that's exactly what he does he even interns to protect her from himself but Quinn has decided she doesn't need protecting from him she just needs him. Honey Phillips writes the best stories! Two wounded beings who find each other and create the family they always wanted! There is nothing like finding love and acceptance with someone who puts you first! This series never disappoints! I can't wait for more! Highly recommend you'll love it🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖💖💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥
It's Quinn's turn to find her special alien someone and he's a keeper. To be fair, they all are. Keepers, that is. Sure, sure, Dhar might try to convince himself he's only being nice to Quinn because she's beautiful and he likes beautiful things, but he's also gentlemanly, a little possessive, and VERY protective.
In other words, she's his human, it just takes him a while to figure that out.
So. Quinn. She's used to people abandoning her and she's not much of a fighter. So when she gets sold to a fierce warrior, she just kind of goes along with it. Fortunately for her, Dhar isn't a total beast and he listens when she says she wants a say in things. As for Dhar, he tries very hard to convince himself that he's only bringing Quinn with him to keep her safe. Never mind that she soothes him and makes him look forward to time spent with her.
An alien estate on an alien planet, a fair-minded fighter who takes a while to wrap his head around how much he needs his human, a little danger, and a timid lady who finds her place in this alien world. I do enjoy watching these protective aliens as they fall for their special someones!
Genre: Adult Paranormal Romance Spice: 3/5 *spice ratings are relative to similar books in the same genre*
The Catalog: F/M, alien x human, alien abduction (fish out of water), FMC gifted to an elite gladiator, cinnamon roll MMC, forced proximity, broody MMC, artist FMC, found family, special breeding * CWs: enslavement * Kink: lactation
Synopsis: Getting abducted by aliens is bad enough, but being separated from your friends and sold to an elite alien gladiator is another thing entirely. Luckily for Quinn, the warrior she’s gifted to seems to be unlike any other alien.
Thoughts: I went into this one blind, but I loved Lily and the Lion, so I was hopeful that I’d love this one too. And I did! Dhar, the alien warrior is such a softie on the inside and I adored him. There really is almost nothing better than reading about a primal being obsessed with their partner.
The romance is fast burn intimacy with medium burn feels. I thought the pacing of their feelings worked well with their character arcs and the overall story.
I also really liked how much Dhar was trying to ignore his feelings for Quinn, but couldn’t. I love seeing a male fall on his knees in desire.
So far, this is my favorite book out of this trilogy And yes, I know that is a whole series, but I see these books as trilogies in the same universe. As I was saying, Holy Cow! I love the Queller, and now I want a big broken alpha hero for myself. If you have been following the series, as we all have, Quinn is the last story that closes this chapter. After Olivia jumps off the bridge and Pandora is kidnapped, Quinn finds herself alone; the merchants end up selling her to the fight ringmaster, who sends her to the Queller as a gift. And that’s as much as you will get from me because of spoilers! But I enjoyed seeing Quinn grow throughout the pages; I like how she was able to recognize her problems and work through them; this book is more sedated and does not have as much adventure as the other two, but it is still my favorite. The chemistry between Dhar and Quinn is through the roof, and I laughed out loud on more than one occasion. I will recommend this book, and I’m looking forward to the next addition to the series.
Sweet, sexy, and utterly adorable, I loved every part of this story! Quinn and Dhar....oh...my...gosh!!! They are so perfect for each other and the WA their backstories just mesh.....freaking adorable. He has some serious hang-ups that he has to work through, and she does too, but men are slower to adapt and move on, and this story captures that completely. Quinn is super sweet, I imagine her disposition to be like Belle from Beauty and the Beast, just an open, caring and loving individual. But from the time that she's left alone with the Sleestiks to when Dhar is introduced, you can feel her resolve to survive and find her sister/friends get stronger. This third in the series was just delightful to read with deep down nice characters. This storyline does have some wicked violence and a lot of consensual "talking", but it truly does focus on the emotional growth of the characters, and that in itself is a refreshing change. I love the stories that come out of this author's mind, I'm a huge fan, this book is one of my favorites though. I was ready for a sweet and sexy true love story.
I love this series. Loved Olivia and Pandora's journey to their HEAs. I couldn't wait to hear about Quinn. She seemed to be the most vulnerable. The one needing to be the most protected. She surprises everyone including herself. I love her kindness, compassion and her willingness to standup for herself . A surprise to most people. The Quiller ,Dhar, is formidable. The perfect alien to protect her. No one messes with his "property". Their journey and eventual HEA was exciting to read. Well written, the story unfolds with ease. The romance has steam, but it's not insta lust or love. Which I loved. Action, conflict and intrigue are great. I would recommend this series. I would also recommend reading the three (Olivia, Pandora and Quinn's stories in order. There is an back story to the three.) This is a series I will be rereading over and over again. I was given this wonderful story from the author via Bookfunnel with no obligation to my honest review.
Quinn is a very submissive heroine, a complete opposite to Olivia who kept running off on her own and making her mate rescue her. Despite this I still really liked Quinn even though she was passive, I like to think she did everything she was told to survive and not get hurt.
That being said she was extremely lucky to end up with Dharr who was sympathetic to her situation and was attracted to her right away. Even though he wants her really bad, he makes sure to listen to what she wants. I really liked him for this reason and the fact that he respects her. This causes Quinn to become even more attracted to him which causes her to seduce him despite his efforts to not take advantage of her.
I love this series from Honey Phillips (who am I kidding, I love all of her books and would recommended them all), I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a sweet romance, with many spicy scenes. It never goes to dark places and always has consent. I loved the extended HEA we got to see, it's uber satisfying. Due to some sailor language and blushworthy scenes I suggest for adults only. It's more sweet heat than action/adventure, so I recommend for fans of sweet sci-fi romance. I'll def continue the series and I enjoyed the book.
It's available through KU. Also, if you sign up for the authors newsletter, you can get a free book.
Quinn never expects more from anyone, not even when she's kidnapped by aliens and sold to a fierce gladiator beast.
But her soft nature might be the trick to taming her Beast.
Queller is a famed gladiator who knows what it's like to suffer, but he doesn't want to open himself up for more pain.
Can they work through their traumas together, to find something worth fighting for?
Great concluding to 3-story arc: best friends abducted, leading to finding the mates.
I love this series by the author Honey Phillips!! I loved this 3-story arc of three best friends: Olivia, Pandora, and Quinn!! This book was a GREAT conclusion to the 3 best friends who were abducted by aliens while at a remote cabin... They ended up separated by various circumstances and each ended up having their own adventures and ultimately each found their mates in different aliens. The three adventures were all as different as each of the friends. While their corresponding mates fit them perfectly and fulfilled their needs & wants. **SPOILER ALERT** Although it should not be because this author always does a happily ever after. All three friends ultimately come together at the end...having been reunited.
I'm gonna be honest here. I read this book because I needed a book starting with Q to complete a reading challenge. Of all the books that were suggested to me in a book group. This one sounded the most interesting so I got this one to complete my reading challenge. I have to say I'm so glad I read this book. I can't say that I loved this book. But I did enjoy it enormously. It was just slightly to sweet, and a little to slow burn for me. But it was a very good book, and I enjoyed reading it. I will read more from this author on that alone. Even if her other books are a little sweeter, and more of a slow burn that I like in my books. I also have to say that my interest was piqued enough that I now want to read Olivia's and Pandora's books as well. I want to know how their stories turned out as well.
Quinn is given to the scary fighter Dhar, as a prize/entertainment, after he has won a big tournament.
3/3 in the trilogy where Olivia, Pandora and Quinn are taken from earth, crash on an alien planet, and are picked up by a caravan of lizardmen who plan on selling them on a slave market. They are split up along the way, find mates (orc guard Baldric (who is really a Daichin), outlaw Boxtar and fighter Dhar), and are finally reunited at the end of this book.
