The 1995 Cal State Fullerton baseball team was considered by Baseball America magazine to be the best college team of all time. The team recorded a season of 57-9 and became the first top-seeded team to win the College World Series. The team's head coach, Augie Garrido defined this team to the media and fans that it was a rebuilding team. Fullerton had a roster of no starting pitchers returned, only two starters on the field from the previous season, and over half of the team was new players.
