Here is a Top 10 list from Ann about her likes, dislikes, and oddities:
1. I despise whipped cream. There, I admitted it in writing. Let the ridiculing begin. 2. Even though I have lived as far south as Key Largo, Florida and as far north as Maine, I landed in the middle. 3. If I don't make a conscious effort not to, I will drink nothing but tea morning, noon and night. Hot tea, sweet tea, green tea––I love it all. 4. There doesn't seem to be much in life that is better than coming home to a couple of big dogs who are overjoyed to see me. My other family members usually show significantly less enthusiasm about my return. 5. Singing in my bestest, loudest voice does not make my family put on their happy faces. This includes the big, loving dogs referenced above. 6. Yes, I am aware that bestest is not a word. 7. Dorothy was right. There's no place like home. 8. All of the numerous bottles in my shower must be lined up with their labels facing out. It makes me feel a little like Julia Roberts' mean husband from the movie 'Sleeping with the Enemy,' but I can't seem to control this particular quirk. 9. I love, love, love finding a great bargain. 10. Did I mention that I hate whipped cream? It makes my stomach churn to look at it, touch it, smell it, or even think about it. Great––now I'm thinking about it. Ick!

Emmy left her home town to move to Florida to live her dream working with dolphins. The dolphin facility was just bought by a billionaire that Emmy is sure he's going to tear it down and where would her three favorite dolphins go. They are able to come and go but at night is when Emmy really gets to be with them and relax. While she's swimming with them and enjoying relaxing a man walks up in his expensive suit and starts talking to Emmy. Emmy pretends she doesn't know him but its Dane Wilder the new owner. Dane starts telling Emmy he has a offer for her but not before Crash the dolphin splashes him. Once he explains what he wants to do, he then proceeds to tell her he made a bet with a friend he could live off of the lowest paid person for a month. Which just happens to be Emmy. She agrees to show him how she lives and in return she get his salary for the month. Shocked by the amount. Dane is to live with Emmy and not use his money at all. Its very hard for Dane but he does it. The first week was hard for him sharing her bed with a pillow between them. After they all went out and had a good time the two went home got ready for bed and Emmy leaned on the pillow and that was the start of their relationship. Later that night she got a call that Crash wasn't doing good. They both raced over there but Emmy went to the dolphin while Dane called in the best of the best dolphin vets. Emmy was glad they figured out what was wrong and even though he used his money it was for the good of the dolphins which Emmy absolutely loved. Dane got a frantic call from hishouse cleaner that he had a baby dropped off on his for step. He immediately went home to find a baby girl there with a note asking to care for hdr. Dane called Emmy and had her come over. He explained that he had a DNA test done but he needs her help to care for her. Emmy wanted to but got scared and left. When her friend picked her up and talked to and made her see the truth, Emmy called and went back to Danes house to find out that he was not the babies father and that he did find out who the mother was and where she was living at the women's shelter. After meeting the mother Dani and hearing her story about how she was kicked out of her house, parents didn't want her or the baby. Dani thought it would be best go leave her at the big house. Dane got an idea not to leave Dani and her daughter. He offered her a home with her own room for her and the baby. Emmy offered her a job with the dolphins. It all worked out in the e d for all. Emmy and Dane fell in love. Dani had a job plus a place to stay. They nay not be related but that doesn't matter they all love and care for each other. Emmy was glad she followed her dreams.

It’s amazing how many things are changed around because of one silly bet. Dane Wilder is a wealthy billionaire who purchases property where Emmy, a dolphin trainer, works with three dolphins. His intention is to get rid of the dolphin reserve area and build something. But a friend challenges him with a bet that he would never be able to live on the wages of his lowest paid employee for a month. Emmy turns out to be that lowest paid employee, but she loves her works and it’s a joy to work with the dolphins. His offer to her is to let him live with her for the month and they will basically trade their month’s wages. For her, that’s a very big deal, so she agrees.
The two of them have to share a bed with a pillow down the middle in her tiny living quarters. When he meets the dolphins, her favorite one named Crush, annoyed at Dane’s interrupting them, spits water in his face. Among the other events that occur, a baby is dropped off on Dane’s doorstep. Although he did prove it was not his child, he tracked down the mother in a shelter and provided a home for her so she can keep her baby. Meanwhile, he and Emmy have given up on the pillow separator in bed. Will Dane and Emmy continue their relationship even after the bet has ended? Will the dolphins still have their home?
Yes, totally unbelievable. But when you want something cute, this one fits quite well. Grab your copy and enjoy the details. (I just touched on the high points.) When a story can make me laugh, it is definitely worth the time to read it and have some fun!
I keep saying that the new book in the States of Love series is definitely the best and here I go again! Florida Flirt is a delight from the very beginning. Emmy Scott has a dream job, down in the Florida Keys, working as a dolphin trainer to sleek and beautiful Einstein, Star and Crush. Dane Wilder is the billionaire who recently purchased the facility in Key Largo and Emmy's convinced that he intends to shut it down in order to build something more lucrative. He might have had that in mind, at first, but he has been challenged to live on the salary of his lowest-paid employee and that happens to be Emmy. Before Dane can discuss his proposition of "trading places," with her, Crush decides to give him a bath! A charming introduction that sets a sweet and happy mood. This story is perfectly paced with multiple plotlines that all weave together seamlessly. I have to admit that Dane just might be the ultimate bbf with his soft heart, desire to be the best that he can be for Emmy and willing to go the extra mile for people who need his help. I'm right! This is, indeed, the best of the stories so far!
Dane Walker bought a property in Florida where he is going to close the dolphin facility and build something else. Emma moved to Florida to work her dream of being with dolphins. Dane isn't liked very much by one of Emmy's dolphins, Crash. He tells Emmy about the bet he made with his friends about living for a month on the lowest paid person, which is Emmy. She agrees and she gets his salary for a month and Dane gets to live his lifestyle with her salary. There are so many things that complicate Danes life but he is starting to realize how the other half lives. I love how he helped Dani and the baby. I love how the pillow gets put in the middle of the bed at the beginning of Dane and Emmy's living arrangement but by the end the pillow is missing. The story was very entertaining. Grab your copy and have fun in Florida. (My home state).

Billionaire Dane Wilder is flabbergasted when he sees the dolphin trainer Emmy Scott who is totally oblivious to who he is and to top it all off her dolphin spits in his face!
I loved the dynamic between Emmy and Dane as he was such a wild flirt who thought he could buy his way through life until he makes a bet with a friend to live in one of his employees shoes for a month, and he chose Emmy....
The chemistry was off the wall with these two characters but Dane was leaving after the month and he never formed attachments until Emmy and then a mysterious baby lands on his doorstep....
Another hit by this amazing duo for short instant love with a touch of angst and lots of steam!
I look forward to the next story!.

Dane and Emmy are such a sweet couple. Small spolier alert. When billionaire Dane Wilder comes to Florida to spend a month at a wildlife resort and has to live without all the comforts he is used to will he survive? Emmy works with the dolphins who she loves. When she meets Dane she is attracted to him,but does not want to fall for his charms. Her favourite dolphin spits on him and she thinks that is definitely a sign to stay away. It is not easy to do that when they are working together every day. Enjoyed Dane and Emmy's story. It was a quick steamy read with a guaranteed HEA. Cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Dane connects with Emmy when he makes her an offer she can't refuse. When Dane approaches Emmy the first thing he notices is how she is with the dolphins and the next is her reaction when one spits on him. He makes a bet that will have him living her life for a month as she is the lowest paid employee. Their journey will have them opening up to each other and see things differently. As they get to know each other feelings creep in in unexpected ways along with a surprise. Will Dane and Emmy's relationship cross over to a happily ever after? This story drew me in and had me all caught up in their drama and cheering for them to finding happiness end the end!

A little bit Undercover Boss, a little Maury Pauvich, and all kinds of sweetness and spice. When billionaire Dane is challenged to live for a month on the salary of his lowest paid employee, he’s not expecting to have his heart stolen in the process. Learning you’re the lowest paid employee on a billionaire’s payroll has got to sting, but Emmy faces it with an enviable savoir faire. But she certainly wasn’t expecting all the complications that come with showing Dane how the rest of the world lives. This story was really quite adorable. I loved seeing all the realizations and growth that both Dane and Emmy go through in this book. And I’m very curious to find out more about what’s coming next. If you enjoy quick reads that give you a satisfying story, you definitely need to read this series. In Florida Flirt, Dane is tasked with surviving one month on the salary of his lowest paid employee. Emmy loves her job and is close to three of the bottlenose dolphins, Star, Einstein, and Crush. Crush is her favorite of the three and when Dane arrives and interrupts their bonding time, Crush gives Dane a very watery welcome. Dane plans to turn the facility into a resort, but will his plans change? No spoilers, but I loved the surprise waiting for Dane and what he does about it. No spoilers, so grab your copy and see what happens.

Dane bets his friend he can live on the salary of his lowest-paid employee; can he? Dane is a billionaire, and he is probably used to getting just about anything and everything he wants. However, a dolphin at his newest facility lets him know how little he thinks of him in a most succinct way—he spits at him. Will Emmy, the dolphin’s trainer, do the same? She is his lowest-paid employer, and Dane has an offer for her she may not be able to refuse. Dane may not lose his bet, but will he lose his heart to Emmy? This is a flirty, fun, short romance that you can read in one sitting. Emmy and Dane will have some challenges to overcome, but with dolphins and romance, you can’t go wrong. This story just might put a smile on your face.
Emmy leaves her family in Georgia and moves to the Florida Keys to work as a dolphin trainer. She’s surprised the to see the new owner Dane show up at the facility. Thinking that he’s come to shut it down she’s even more surprise when he tells her he wants to live and work like one of his employees for a month. Emmy takes on the challenge of putting him to work while hoping she doesn’t start to fall for her new boss. This was an entertaining read with lots of LOL moments as well as a sizzling chemistry between Dane and Emmy. Emmy was a no nonsense, kind and loving person always thinking of others before herself. Dane soon realizes that Emmy means everything to him and will do just about anything to make her happy. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a quick story about a guy who has all the money buying a new piece of land and a business and taking on a bet from a friend that he can’t live on a wage of his lowest paid employee. Dane finds Emmy and promises her that if she helps him live on her wage for a month she will get something major in return. While living together their bonding goes further. While this is a good story it was just lacking in some areas for me. The end felt VERY rushed. 3.5/5 for me and that’s only because I loved what he did for Crush.

Turning The Tides On Love - Emmy wasn’t moved in the least when she met Dane, as her perception of him was that he was a rich, playboy skirt chaser. Dane on the other hand was totally enthralled with Emmy, but tried everything to keep himself from pursuing her. However, spending time together change their minds about each other and sent them on a whirlwind journey towards a forever happiness, that neither one of them expected. I couldn’t put this book down once I started, as it was deep and meaningful, but also entertaining. You will definitely enjoy reading this book and be happy to recommend it.

Emmy is a dolphin trainer who loves her job, but she doesn’t know what is going to happen now that the facility has been bought by a billionaire. Dane is a billionaire who has just bought a dolphin facility. He takes a bet from a friend that he can’t live with the same budget as his lowest-paid employee, who happens to be Emmy. They have no idea how that bet is going to change their lives. A nice book, easy to read and entertaining that I read in one go. I did enjoy reading this book, but I have to say that the ending is a bit unbelievable. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the ninth book in the States of Love series and can be enjoyed as a standalone. You can read this book as a standalone but if you've read book eight you've met Dane. Dane and Emmy's story is a short and steamy instalove. It's a fun, flirty story about a billionaire trying to live on the salary of his lowest paid employee. Dan's use to everyone, especially women, treating him different so it is refreshing that Emmy is different. Emmy wants to show Dane how important the dolphin sanctuary is in hopes it'll convince him to keep it open. Dane may be there to win a bet but he may find love instead.

Emmy was not her family's golden child, but she was doing what she loved, training dolphins. Dane's dream was to have a place where his best vacation memories were, so he purchased the facility in Key Largo.
On a bet, Dane was to live a month on his lowest employee's salary, this was Emmy's, so he went to ask for her help. Emmy was surprised what Dane was trying to do and did not believe he was being realistic.
States of Love: Florida Flirt is fun fast read with hot moment, eye opening reality and love that grows beyond person or mammals. Dane may not win the bet, but he does show Emmy who he is.

Dane, the billionaire, has purchased a dolphin facility and the staff expects that he will raze it to the ground and develop it. Emmy is in charge of the three dolphins that come in from the ocean to get snacks and play. Well, big shot money bags has made a bet with a friend that he will trade salaries and live on what a working employee makes for the month. She can certainly use the money and he sees how the other half lives. He rises to the occasion when one of the dolphin’s gets sick and he brings in every specialist around the country to find out what is wrong with him. This is a very entertaining short!!!.

I love what these authors are doing with a story for each state. I also like that the stories aren’t necessarily connected, they can be read alone, but there are crossover characters. This one is about Emmy and Dane. It was steamy and oh so good. Dane is ultra rich and trying to live for a month like a “normal” person, Emmy has relocated to Florida for her dream job, working with dolphins. It was a shorter story and definitely had the bones to be longer. Some of the aspects felt rushed, but I didn’t feel like it took away from the story at all.

Emmy didn’t make much but she didn’t care because she loved what she did. She takes care of a trio of dolphins. It is her dream job! Dane makes more money then he would ever need - he is a multimillionaire. He has made a high stakes bet to live for a month on the salary of the lowest paid person at the water reserve. There are some definite unexpected surprises - one room, one bed, one baby, one mother and then there is Emmy. It’s a tangled mess at times but it is also a fun, crazy, entertaining and enjoyable story.

Emma works as a dolphin trainer in Florida, the place has been sold recently to a property developer. The staff are all worried about their jobs. Dane arrives at the facility and one playful dolphin splashes him. Jealous that he's paying attention to Emma. A friend of his has bet him that he can't live on his lowest paid employee's pay for the month, who is Emma. He moves in to Emma's very small place.

Emmy isn't getting rich, but she loves her job as a dolphin caretaker, and loves living in the Keys. Dane, the new owner of the property surrounding the water reserve, has a proposition for her... He has a bet with a friend, and he's going to live with her for a month, swapping salaries with her. Her small apartment, with just one bed, showcases the crazy chemistry between them. Throw in an unwed mother, an adorable baby girl, and a jealous dolphin, and it's a recipe for a cute story. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A quick read but I wanted more. This story follows Emmy and Dane. Dane is a billionaire but he’s bet he can’t live frugally for one month on the salary of his lowest paid employee. Emmy loves her job and is close to three of the bottlenose dolphins, Star, Einstein, and Crush. Crush is her favorite and Dane arrives and interrupts their bonding time, Crush gives Dane a very watery welcome. Dane plans to turn the facility into a resort, but he will fall for Emmy and find it hard to destroy her dream.

This is the 12th book in the “Part Of States Series”. I surely hope that Ann Omasto and Callie Love continue thru the remaining states. Emma works at a marine park as a dolphin trainer and loves her animals. Dan is sexy alpha billionaire and he is Emma boss. Dane makes a bet with his that he can live off the same salary as Emma. I love the relationship that developed between Dane and Emma.
Was Dane able to live off the same salary that he paid Emma, will Dane raise Emma’s salary, does the couple get an HEA?
I received an ARC via Booksprout and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
A bet with his best friend to live on only what his lowest paid employee makes, leads Dane to Emmy, she is a dolphin trainer in a facility he just purchased. Emmy always had dream to work with dolphins, she knew she would never get rich doing it, she just hopes to support herself. When the guy who is not her boss show up, Crush, one of the dolphins, spits at him.
Dane talks her into letting him stay with her, the close proximity brings the two closer. It is just for the month, isn't it?.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. I liked the humor and the heat in this story. Emmy is in charge of the dolphins at the facility that Dane owns. Thanks to a bet, these two are going to get closer than they ever imagined. I thought learning about each other's lives provided humor and closer connections. He learned a lot about her life and she was surprised when she saw who he could be behind all the trappings. It was a good addition to the series.

I've read a lot of books written by Ann Omasta; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is part of the States of Love Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Emmy & Dane; she’s a dophin trainer and he’s a billionaire there on vacation when her favorite dophin spits in his face she decides to stay away from him until he makes a offer she can’t refuse.

Florida Flirt is a short, love story between a billionaire and his employee. I loved the way the author brought Dane and Emmy together and how the more time they spent together love blossomed. The writing is well done, the characters are believable, and the story is about how a bet brought two people from completely different worlds together. This is a quick read and a great addition to the States of Love series. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Excellent and entertaining billionaire love story. Dane is a billionaire who just bought a mansion and marine center. His friend bet him he wouldn’t last a month working with and living on the lowest paid individuals wages. Emmy happens to be that lucky person. He told her his story and she agrees to show him the ropes. He then has a surprise for her. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading future books in this series and books written by Ms Omasta & Ms Love. I received a complimentary copy of the book and chose to write a review.
Dane was a billionaire who’s friend bet him he couldn’t live on his lowest paid employees salary for a month. He travels to Florida Keys to meet dolphin trainer, Emmy, who is that employee. The story is fun, sweet and steamy. Their chemistry is amazing. There are some huge curveballs thrown their way but their love for each other is strong and their HEA wonderful. Great, well written story that leaves you feeling really good!.

As usual, thanks to Ann for putting this on Youtube. It is a brave concept and a godsend.
I will say that this was not exactly my davorite story - I guess a bit more development would have been nice - but these shorter romances are awesome for a relaxing weekend experience.
Some parts of this plot are definitely unexpected, and while I like the character interactions and chemistry, I'd have loved to have had more build up, more on the bet's experience and specifics...
But I love the setting for sure, and I did really enjoy the story overall
