I should have recovered quickly and easily. It was a concussion, it should have kept me feeling like shit for so long. Only it wasn’t just a concussion. There was a slow bleed in my brain.
I needed a babysitter and thankfully someone else needed to be hidden. Addie needed a reason to stay out of sight for a while. I didn’t want a babysitter, but having a beautiful woman in my house while I recuperated wasn’t something I would ever say no to.
The fact that she could cook and she was sweet with a cute kid was an added bonus. A huge one.
I had to tread lightly, though. Even after my brain was fixed because she was the sister of my good friend. Not that I would ever be disrespectful of any woman, but I definitely didn’t want to give Creed any reason to cut off my balls and feed them to me, sautéed with onions and mushrooms.
Maybe saving her from the psycho stalking her would work in my favor.

Moving in with Rhett to take care of him was a knee jerk reaction. I jumped at the chance because it would put my son and I behind the gates of the Demon Riders MC and we would be safe.
I knew that if I’d told my brother about my ex and what he was bringing to my doorstep, Creed would take care of me. The problem was that I was sure Creed would take care of me by killing my ex and possibly, probably, also killing the very bad man who was following my ex and Creed would possibly end up in jail.
That I could not have. Staying with Rhett for a little while was the best option. At least it was until his symptoms got worse and he went back to the hospital and everyone forgot I existed.
Would I have to save myself and my son on my own?

I love how Rhett stepped up to take care of Addie and how the club was protecting her since she's family, by means of her brother being one of the four horsemen.
