Fur-Footed Friends #4

The Corgi Connection

Rate this book
My name is Alice. When Adrienne and Jordan adopted me from the shelter, they did it mostly for my little sister Trixie. She’s cute and funny, and everybody loves her. I’m not like her—I’m just plain and ordinary. But to show how grateful I am, I’ve always tried to be a Good Dog.

Back then, Jordan and Adrienne were so much in love, I thought the four of us would always be happy together. But things have changed. Now they’re unhappy and argue all the time. When Adrienne decides to get away for a while to “clear her head,” I’m worried for us all. What does this mean for our family? What will happen to Trixie and me?

I’ve always taken care of my little sister. Now I must take care of my people, too. I know they still love each other, and it’s my job to help them see that. It’s up to me—plain, ordinary Alice—to save our family.

Dogs and love

Who doesn't love a story with dogs, or cats, in them? No one. I adored this book and I even cried towards the end. Not about the people but the total. Lol. The pet owners are having a troubled time in their marriage and she thinks he's cheating and she runs to her brothers to stay. the dogs, Alice and Trixie are so afraid the family is breaking up and they try to help them get back together. It was all from Alice's point of view too. She was such a wonderful animal and her little sister Trixie was ornery for sure. I loved the whole story! Because of the dogs. The wife was a little too annoying to me and the husband was a little unreasonable too. But also well that ends well. And the dogs lived happily ever after. And the people too I guess.

A quick read, about people and animals. Adrienne and Jordan are married, and they adopted, corgi's Alice and Trixie. Lack of communication can cause a lot of harm. Life is, often times, learn as you go, and sometimes you struggle with the disappointments of your past, and you have to decide, if you want to stay together or go your separate ways. That is what happens here, but life goes on, and we see what happens when the four try to make things right. Alice has always taken care of Trixie, and now she must take care of Adrienne and Jordan, because she doesn't want to know what will happen to her and Trixie if they split up. Alice might have been you have to take the dog to get the cute one, but I fell in love with her and think you will too. Sometimes, people just need that connection that Alice can give, even if it is in a book.
I received an ARC from Christie Logan.

Christie Logan's The Corgi Chronicles is a super sweet romance about a married couple drifting apart and their two corgis who try to keep them together. Jordan and Adrienne are deeply in love or at least they once were. Now it seems to Adrienne that Jordan has lost the love he used to have for her. In fact, he is never home and when he is there he might as well not be! Much to the the dismay of their pet corgis, it looks like the couple is about to split up and ruin their "furever" home. The story is told from the perspective of both main characters but it is also told from the perspective of the pets. How cute is that?! The story was lovely and fun to read.

This book had a unique point of view because one of the main characters was Alice, a cute corgi. I enjoyed the dynamics of the characters as they are trying to trust each other, as well as going through some marriage struggles. I found it realistic and interesting to see how their pasts seemed to influence their present and future. I really liked the last lines in the book a lot. They were quite poignant to the story. I also enjoyed Alice's little sis,Trixie and her antics. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

This is cute read about a couple who adopted two Corgi's. The book is in three points of view, Alice the Corgi, Adrienne the wife and soon-to-be mom who is unhappy as her husband, Jordan, the third point of view, has become a workaholic who is never home until after Adrienne asleep...but when it comes to a confrontation with Adrienne leaving hi, Jordan knows he needs to save his marriage...but is he too late or are Corgi's making sure their family stays together...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Adrienne and Jordan are having a tough time. He works too much and doesn’t talk to Andrienne about what’s going on until she make assumptions and takes their dogs and runs. They both have a lot of insecurties that affect their relationship. I loved Alice and Trixie who didn’t understand why their humans weren’t together. They tried their best to change that. Alice was so sweet trying to be a good dog and take care of her exuberant sister Trixie.

I am do not usually care for talking animal books, but this seems real. -
Alice and Trixie, the corgi’s, were portrayed in the best possible way - as if what was written were actually the dogs words.
Jordan and Adrienne, dog owners, deal with issues the same way.
Running from issues and excluding the other.
The dogs do their best to bring them back together.
Will a baby make or break the couple?

A clean cute story about two Corgi’s named Alice and Trixie. They were adopted as a pair. Their owners were Jordan and Adrienne and they struggled throughout life to make something of their lives. The only problem was Jordan worked all hours and it has now caused contention in the home. The dogs try to be good and help all they can so Jordan and Adrienne wouldn’t fight but was that enough?.

Sweet tale of a married couple and their two dogs. Rocky marriage causes some stressful moments. Not usually a fan of animals talking, but this made sense. Not as if communicating with humans, but with each other. Communication with humans was via normal means, such as barking. Many heart-warming moments. Thanks to the author for providing a copy. My review is voluntary.

Adrienne and Jordan are keeping secrets from each other. Alice and Trixie stole the book. They were so cute with their shenanigans to get their people back together. Sweet, clean romance that will warm your heart. Highly recommend this book.

Love stories that include pets. Dogs especially. Wonderful Romance with an interesting couple that are different and learn to each other's quirks and personalities on the journey to love and romance. Pets can add an interesting twist to a story. Good read.

Super Sweet

I love the fact that Ms Logan chose to also use the pets as narrators in this story. The perspective of Alice is super sweet. She’s very protective of her humans and desires for their marriage to heal. The MMC and FMC have drifted apart in their marriage. Can they find their way back and build a new future? You will have to read it and find out.

Adorable. Those Corgies love the people who adopted them from a terrible situation. The dogs are related. The love their people parents so much, they interfere with their lives when it’s not going well. The dogs are so cute and interactive. Such a fun and meaningful story. You will love it too

Love makes you special

This book has no business being as good as it is but it is wonderful. Talking corgies, who knew? I don't like too many kids in books but apparently I love talking animals.
