Honestly this arc of this series is really good. It’s been catching my attention. This volume was more emotional as many things happened especially with one of the wonders but I’m kind of scared how hanako is going to react to them trying to escape.

My daughter made me read all of these. Then I got addicted. Now I'm mad there aren't more yet.

This volume was a little confusing in parts and I am starting to think that maybe this arc is getting stretched a little tooooo thin - I am very surprised that we haven’t finished this yet and it continues in vol 12…
However, this was a pretty emotional read especially the dialogue between the ‘living’ Mei Shijima and her fictional self…I just want to get back to the story now involving our 3 main characters!

What Hanako did showed his flaws and his desire to protect and it's all a freaking mess. I loved Shijima Mei's character as well, although her real self is a little... unhinged? Surprisingly strong?

Fua, lo que extrañaba este manga 🥲 después de haber pasado un año sin leerlo tuve que hacer un esfuerzo por recordar los eventos más recientes.
Este arco es tremendo, viene siendo mi favorito hasta ahora porque está muy cargado de cosas importantes y varias de mis escenas favoritas (y mi escena favorita, la que me aloca el corazón 🤭🩷).
Shijima me gustó mucho 🩷, me parece una vuelta interesante a su personaje 👀
Y me faltó más Hanako, estuvo re ausente en este tomo 😅

I'm not entirely convinced Nene has fat ankles ..but it's a running joke so I'll go along with it.

I CANT. ONE OF THE SADDEST VOLUMES AND PROBABLY ONE OF MY FAVS. THE WAY NUMBER 4 MEETS HER OLD SELF I CANT. and ofc yashiro there to save the day. I LOVE IT SM , best written manga of all time.

Avec la fin du tome 10, j’étais pressée de retrouver nos personnages pour savoir s’ils allaient pouvoir sortir de cet étrange monde imaginé par le quatrième mystère de l’école. Si vous n’avez pas lu le précédent, sachez juste que l’on découvre une nouvelle facette de Hanako, peut-être pas la plus agréable même si dans un sens on peut comprendre sa démarche.
Nene va donc devoir tout faire pour sortir de ce « tableau » et revenir ainsi à sa réalité. Heureusement, c’est une jeune fille très optimiste et pleine d’espoir.
Comme toujours, c’est un vrai plaisir que de parcourir ce titre parce que je trouve les dessins très beaux. J’aime beaucoup ce genre de style. Quant à la trame de ce tome, elle suit son cours même si j’ai l’impression que c’est de plus en plus sombre. Hanako reste une vraie surprise et un mystère à part entière que, pour le moment, personne n’a vraiment réussi à élucider. Si on sait que son jumeau est espiègle et joueur, lui… eh bien… Ce qu’il comptait faire à Nene me fait réfléchir. D’ailleurs elle aussi est bien décidée à avoir une conversation sérieuse avec lui. Mais, va-t-il se défiler comme il le fait à chaque fois ?
Même si ce manga reste assez bon enfant, autant qu’il le peut, avec un humour sympathique, je trouve que le fond est vraiment complexe. J’aime toujours autant cette ambiance très typique des histoires de fantômes au Japon.
Bref. Dans mon cas, ce onzième tome fut une très bonne lecture et comme d’habitude, je reste au taquet concernant la suite.

This was such an AMAZING volume. I didn’t think I’d love a volume so heavily focused on Shijima, but it turned out SO GOOD.
I loved getting insight into Shijima’s life. She’s so driven by this desire to destroy what she thinks of as a fiction (her ghost self), yet simultaneously the living Shijima sees her ghost as her dream. I don’t even think I have the brain capacity to fully explain just how deep and meaningful this volume is. But I love how we’re exploring this idea of living a fantasy (a perfect life) and if that’s really worth sacrificing reality for. I love the consideration of how dreams are important to live, but it’s also important we don’t exclusively live in them. We shouldn’t kill our dreams, but we shouldn’t lose ourselves to them either.
I’m telling y’all. This volume was FIRE. AidaIro really WENT THERE with this volume. And they keep going hard for this concept of humans never understanding paranormals and vice versa. And even though what Hanako is doing is wrong, you see Yashiro start to understand why he’s doing what he’s doing. UGH. MY HEART 😭
Anyway. Whenever I doubt my love for this series, it proves again why it’s got such a chokehold on me.

The endless fat ankle jokes targeted at Nene continue to be body shaming, tedious, and a strangely solitary running joke seemingly intended to lighten the mood of this especially dark volume. Dealing with wrestling of self and suicide, alongside Nene's imminent death and coming to terms with it or living in an eternal fantasy world without her real beloved friends, Aidaro's just breaking into the heart of the story and it's finally getting interesting.

The story behind School Mystery No.4 hit me so hard as a chronically ill person myself.
Literally almost cried. Definitely one of the saddest volumes in the series so far... For me personally at least!
