You can find him at dsquinton.com, some social media platforms, or on his deck solving the world’s problems with his wife and a good bottle of wine.
I have really enjoyed following Del's adventures as she learns more about who she is. I also enjoy the rich and mysterious realm beyond the veil that is slowly being revealed in The Spirit Hunter series.
I enjoy the characters and find it fascinating to follow Del as she learns about herself. I found this book a little hard to follow at times. Billy's messed up head confused me at times and had to re-read paragraphs to keep it straight. It worked out finally. Ready for the next.
A sensational final chapter for a successful series
Missouri author DS Quinton made his publishing debut with DEVEL DJANGO, beginning an impressive career as a significant contributor to the realm of science fiction techno thriller genre. Trained with a BS in Computer Science, an MBA, and a successful career in IT, he uses this foundation of knowledge to present credible combinations of futurism, metaphysics, and speculative alternative reality in novels that exceed expectations. As he states, ‘I'm an avid student of the unknown.’ In addition to his debut novel, he has now published THE PHOENIX STONE, CIRCUS SIDESHOW (Acts One and Two), and THE SPIRIT HUNTER Series – A DARK GRIMOIRE, SCARS OF REDEMPTION, and now A TAPESTRY OF DEAD is book 3.
Quinton continues his dark, fascinating series, proving once again that in the realm of dark occult horror writing his fame is increasing. Blending credible history as the background for his tale is obvious as his Prologue opens – ‘The summer of 1963 was one of great change. The world felt the Vietnam War rage. The United States saw great unrest as the civil rights movement gained momentum. And somewhere in the city of New Orleans, a girl struck or on her own to save the people she loved. From herself.’ From this vantage, Quinton unveils the plot: ‘Somewhere in New Orleans, Del is on her own. Blaming herself for the spirit attack that nearly killed her adopted family, she vows to keep them safe the only way she knows how, by staying away. But she soon learns that this isn’t enough, her mentor is dying a strange, agonizing death. Close by, Billy Bash is dealing with his own illness. His search for The Red, which will kill the bad things in his mind, takes on a frantic pace. A trail of dead girls is his legacy, as he searches for that next special one. Del’s life in the Crescent City is hard. Her mentor is dying. A disturbed man is searching for her. And the fight to save her own humanity hasn’t even begun. A search for truth. A secret pact. A deadly ability unleashed…’
Once again we are given passage into the imaginative world of DS Quinton, but it is the quality of the journey, the magnetic attraction to both the pages and the secrets of the book that makes this a feat of impressive strength: the joy and reward is in the reading.
