Get ready for a good old fashioned Twin Switch at Harvest Ranch!
Cadence ran away to Harvest Ranch to escape her troubles in Nashville. She'll do anything to save her unborn baby from his influential father--a rich and powerful womanizer who ruthlessly tries to hunt her down. How did she ever believe that he once loved her? Cadence thought she'd be safe at her friend's home in the middle of nowhere, except that the only other man who knows her secret somehow followed her here, and he's a no-good playboy!
How did he find her?
Porter promised to keep his friend's plants alive as a favor while she's away, but instead he's stunned when a breathtakingly beautiful woman is staying at the apartment and tries to clock him in the head with a lamp for trespassing. When Porter realizes that she's mistaken him for his twin brother living in Nashville, he decides to have some fun. After all, what better way to get to know this mysterious house guest than with a good prank?
But who is this gorgeous stranger?
As Cadence falls in love with the friendly inhabitants of Harvest Ranch, she begins to understand how precious a gift this sweet little life inside of her has become. At the same time, she makes a wreck of Porter's normally fearless and undisciplined heart. The anguish in her deep brown eyes haunts him. She's hiding secrets, but he can't get through her defenses. Porter needs to tame his wild ways and show her that he's the kind of man that she can trust before it's too late.
When trouble follows Cadence to Harvest Ranch, will she turn to the strength of Porter's waiting arms or will she run again?
*In this Harvest Ranch novel, celebrate the joy of life, the worth of a soul, and a love worth saving.
USA TODAY Bestselling Author, Stephanie Fowers loves bringing stories to life, and depending on her latest madcap ideas will do it through suspense, fantasy, historical, contemporary, and of course... romance, romance, romance. Presently, she lives in Salt Lake where she's living the life of the starving artist.

MY TAKE The romance is sweet if rushed, and the suspense is entertaining. There are little hints about Emily having an adventure, so I imagine there'll be a book for her that'll include it.
This story is rich with secrets and scandal, fear and forgiveness, devastation and determination, pranks and passion... I cried and laughed while feeling Angel's heartbreak and experiencing Slade pranks. Angel and Porter have everything against them.
Additionally, Stephanie Fowers makes this complicated tale of misunderstandings and mistaken identities absolutely believable while entwining the Slade family's ongoing troubles and coinciding plot points of Nash's Songbird.
I whole heartedly recommend picking up all of Stephanie's Harvest Ranch romances that preceeded this release, if you haven't already, to get the character and community development that has evolved with these Harvest Ranch families and friends thus far.
Cole's Dilemma is next and my first reaction to the synopsis was "No no NO NO NO no No no no! I can't believe it. I didn't see THAT coming. I thought it was going to be [spoiler]! This should be fun."
This was a good book. I was really looking forward to reading it after reading Nash's Songbird, wondering who Porter's Angel was. This was a fun story to read, but frustrating at the same time. Knowing the lack of communication that was going on between these two. But when it came down to it, they still loved each other at the roots. Porter was there to help protect Angel when she needed him most. What love truly is! Glad they found their happily ever after! Of course it didn't come easy! Can't wait for the rest of the Slade's stories! I was given an ARC of this book and left the review voluntarily. All opinions expressed are my own.
I liked this book because it was a Harvest Ranch Romance with mostly wonderful characters, except perhaps, West and Lacy. It was a fun, small town, suspenseful, romance that kept my heart pounding until the last page. I was so glad Porter found his Angel and Cadence found her faith. I also really liked how this one took place right after the last book the author wrote in this series. You do not have to have read the last book to read this one. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Porter has been out of sorts since his twin Nash went to Nashville. Cadence found her boyfriend Lacy cheating on her. So, she runs and ends up in her friend Emily’s apartment. She wakes up the next morning to find Porter, whom she mistakes for Nash in the apartment. Another great Harvest Ranch romance by Stephanie Fowers. Love the character’s of Cadence and Porter. Really liked old man Funches, he is a real piece of work. Once you start reading, you won’t be able to put it down.
I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
In this book we find out more about the Slade brothers. What are West and Nash up to in Nashville? Cole and Porter stay in Harvest Ranch. A new lady shows up in town claiming to be good friends with Emily. There is a lot of action in this story. Definitely worth the read.
I received a free ARC, and this is my honest opinion.
This is another fun Harvest Ranch story! I really liked how all the characters come together and some of the stories overlap. It gives you a bigger picture of what’s happening in Harvest Ranch, it’s the kind of small town I’d like to live in. Cadence and Porter’s story is perfect even with their struggles. It’s a great mix of romance, mystery, and adventure. It’s definitely a good read!
This book will have you wondering about Nash, feel sorry for Cadence, think Porter is a doll, want the best for Lily, despise Lacy, and long to live in a town like theirs. There's romance, secrets, treachery, family, and loving friends with a touch of faith mixed in. It's a good book!
I struggled with this one. Maybe I should've read some of the others in the series before reading this one because I was expecting a sweet romance. Porter & Angel are both likeable characters, their romance was lost in the whirlwind of way too much drama and indecisiveness.
Loved the personalty of all the characters … included the grumpy old man and the kids. The right balance of action, mystery, and romance. The ending was “sweeter” than I imagined!
Really enjoyed this book and worth the wait for more in this series! I sure hope Cadence finds a new name for the baby besides Ash, it sounds more like a funeral than a swet name for a swet baby! Excited for Cole's story.
What Cadence and Porter found with each other is proof that true love can be found over adversity. But dealing revenge to a snake in the grass is even better.
