When she signed up for a reality tv show, Haven Avery was just looking for a way to pay off her debts. She never expected that her number might come up. Now she's living in a pack house with a ruthless feral alpha and a beta with a secret... and things are about to get intense.
Haven Fat girls like me don’t make the prime time hours on shows like Omega Girls. Instead, if our number comes up, we’re relegated to the late night spots as we search for a pack. I get one camera guy—Arlo, who is a beta, of course—and some motion-activated cameras. I’m basically entertainment for insomniacs and obsessives. But I never wanted to be a star, so that’s the least of my problems.
I’m much more concerned about one very angry alpha, a feral felon who has been assigned to "take the edge off" my heat spikes until I settle on a pack. Apparently the show pulled him out of prison just to... keep me calm. He's bulky and bitter and seems to prefer punching people to talking. But as soon as I scented him, I knew there was more to him than a feral with a record. Not that he's interested in hearing that from me. He'll be watching over my shoulder during pack interviews, too. That's gonna go great.
And then there’s the fact that Arlo just keeps getting more attractive. He works for the show, which makes this attraction strictly out of bounds… but can I help it if my blood pumps faster every time he’s in the room?
Reese Getting out of prison early on good behavior is one thing. Getting out so I can take the edge of some omega for the cameras is another. Not that I can expect to get close to an omega any other way -- a feral with an omega? I think it's hilarious.
That is, until I meet her. There’s no way around it: I fall hard. Everywhere I go, I’m haunted by those deep velvet eyes, and a scent that makes my instincts roar. She makes me want to promise her things I know I can’t deliver. I’m a criminal—a loser—and I can’t seem to stop putting my foot in my mouth when she’s around. I need to stay out of her way so she can choose someone else. It doesn't matter how much I want her.
As for Arlo, I should want him even less. He’s the reason I went to prison. I’ve hated him since I was fifteen. So why does his scent seem to follow me as much as Haven's? The two of them are so sweet, I want to take a bite. But I know that neither of them can be mine.
Arlo When I was fifteen, I made the worst mistake of my life, and it sent Reese Tribbi to prison. Ever since, I vowed that I would find a way to help him if I ever could. So when my job asked me to find available ferals for the show, I jumped at the chance to spring him from prison.
I knew he would hate me. I knew he wouldn’t want anything to do with me. …What I didn’t count on was how much I would still want him. Now I’m stuck between a rock hard feral and the softest, most beautiful woman I’ve ever met.
And I can’t tell either of them the truth about who I am.
Juniper Kerry has been reading romance since she was twelve, and mistakenly took one of her mother's books to summer camp with her. Since then, she has been hooked on romance of all kinds, but she has a particular penchant for science fiction, supernatural, and OV romance. Who doesn't love a monster with a heart?
Juniper has a degree in English literature and anthropology from Smith College, as well as an MA from Simmons University. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband, two young boys, and lazy basset hound named Barney.
I received an ARC for this book and honestly, this is probably the hardest review I’ve had for an ARC. I wanted to love this book, but I just didn’t.
I liked this book. I loved the emotions, I loved the characters, I think the author did an amazing job there. However, I didn’t like the dynamic and that’s why I couldn’t rate it higher than 3 stars.
Let me preface this review by saying I love a diverse dynamic in my ménage and RH books. I love MM and I love FF. However, when I have multiple couples in a group dynamic where they’re all with each other I need the relationships to be equal or balance. Just as I wouldn’t want the girl to favor someone, I don’t want the guys either.
If this book was just an MM I probably would be giving it 5 stars because I LOVED the dynamic of the guys, but this is an MMF and the F felt very disregarded. She felt like an after thought to me and that kicked me out of this story. She just wasn’t an equal partner and that took away from the whole aspect.
I’ll definitely read more of this author, but I am not sure if I’ll read the next book. I think this book has potential but I just don’t like favoritism in a group dynamic so I struggled here.
If you’re ok with this book being more MM focused than MMF than I think you will like this book. Like I said, if it was just MM this book would have been 5 stars for me. However, I couldn’t get past it being MMF and the F being more so an after thought.
So, the title made me nervous. I love curvy FMC, but prefer a body positivity perspective. However, I’m really glad I decided to give this one a shot. It’s actually super body positive. The curvy FMC is happy with her size and how she looks, even if she still has confidence issues from knowing how others typically view her (which is very realistic).
The MMCs, and many of the side characters, tell the FMC that there’s nothing wrong with how she looks, she’s beautiful.
I found the omegaverse storyline unique, with it limited to a single city and based on a specific triggering event. The idea of Omega House and Omega House After Dark was also really novel and interesting.
There was one side plot that I felt got introduced/foreshadowed, but never followed up on, regarding the other omega in the After Dark townhouses.
I also kept thinking another MMC or two would surface, but they never did. A pack of one alpha and 2 omegas felt unbalanced, so I was kind of expecting someone else (or more) to somehow fall into the relationship seamlessly. Especially if the w omegas were likely to have synchronized heats, seemed a bit much for one alpha to handle and meet all their needs.
But other than that I found this to be a cute, quick-paced why choose romance that kept my attention throughout.

The Bachelor meets Omegaverse! This is a heady ride of a book. It’s meaty and has things to say—I love the body-positivity message—but it’s as fast-paced and crazy as any reality TV show. Let Fat Omega take you on its roller-coaster! Highly recommended.
I really wanted to like this. It felt like an opportunity for something really special here. An omega who is struggling to find a pack. I had hoped for some delicious pack show up to whisk her away.
This book is MMF, I was bummed to discover one of Ms was an omega. Everyone likes what they like, to each their own, but male omegas are just plain unappealing to me. Arlo was decent for a male omega but I really just don’t care for male omegas in any form. I had hoped both Ms would be alphas.
Then the one alpha we did get here had EXTREME self esteem issues. I don’t read these books for insecure alphas. Alphas shouldn’t be capable of feeling like that. It’s the antithesis of alpha behavior. I hated that he didn’t feel good enough. I hated that instead of JUST GOING WITH THAT he went the opposite way and PURPOSELY HURT the omega to hurt her feelings and make her feel bad and dislike him.
I received an ARC of this book and I devoured it in two days!! Really fast and easy read. You fall in love with Haven right off the bat and want to be her best friend. Alro wants love so desperately that you can feel it coming off the page. And my main man Reese. Wowza!! Bad boy born and bred, but is so sweet to Haven and Arlo. Him thinking he isn’t good enough, makes you want to reach through the book and hold him tight. The book is about Haven joining a lottery and being picked to go on a show similar to The Bachelorette, expect for “rejected omegas”. Arlo is the camera man who is filming her episodes. When Arlo comes to rescue Haven, sparks fly. Since Haven is close to her heat when the show is being filmed, there is what is considered a “feral alpha” an alpha without a pack. Reese, the feral, is picked up from prison and brought to help Haven through her heat well she is interviewing packs to join. Little did Reese know, the person responsible for putting him in prison is none other than Arlo, who has been in love with Reese for years and has been desperately trying to get Reese out of prison. This was a great book and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a good omega verse series!! The spicy is fantastic and it leaves you wanting more and more.

This is my first book from author Juniper Kerry. There are no words to describe how much I loved this book. Fat Omega hits home for me. This book shows us that we must overcome our insecurities to get what we want. Now Haven new right away that Arlo and Reese where made for her, but all of them were fighting their instincts and insecurities. I just loved how everything was played out. If you love a bad boy Alpha and two Omegas then this book is for you.
Super sweet little book about the omegaverse and a girl finding love in alternate places. They do go on a TV show and try to find love like the bachorarette
I usually love novels written by Juniper Kerry, so it was a surprise when I did not enjoy this one much. I was disappointed, because I was really looking forward to reading an omegaverse romance with a “fat” omega heroine, since the size, age, and racial diversity in MF and RH omegaverse is still pretty terrible. However, the omega heroine in this novel felt to me like an unnecessary afterthought to the relationship between the two heroes. I would have enjoyed this romance far more as a MM romance. I feel like the F in a MMF romance needs to be the main protagonist and the essential center that makes the relationship between the guys work successfully, or the book works much better as a MM romance. As a result, I enjoyed this novel far less than I expected to. I highly recommend all of this author’s other novels, but I cannot fully recommend this one.
I received a free copy of this book, and I am voluntarily writing this review.
Omegaverse stories are a hard read for a modern woman - sometimes you want to pretend an Alpha will come and take your problems away and protect you - just let you lay down your burdens and rest a moment. But at the same time, Omegas just aren't independent and often the worldbuilding has them being little more than property.
And sometimes the inherent opposition creates issues. In this case "body positivity" where the main character is going "I'm comfortable with my body" but also going "I understand everyone hates my body, so I will let them treat me poorly." Omegas are crap for standing up for themselves, so I can see this two versions of self-vision crashing together. Heck, nearly all of us women on the "sturdy" side do it all the time - how can I dress pretty ... but in a manner acceptable to the general population?
Love the reality show twist, but even more, I enjoyed the slight variation off the normal Omegaverse dynamics. The Alpha had been locked up at an early age, so he is used to being alone and just following orders. There was no one bowing and scraping to him inside prison. He is used to others telling him where to go and what to do. Aggression, alpha actions, just made things bad behind bars. Meanwhile the two Omega both had to fight for someone or something bigger than themselves on their own. They are used to pushing, doing without, ignoring their softer sides. They've had careers, difficult as it was to work around the Omega limitations.
Together, the three will make a powerful balanced pack. Maybe. If the reality show that brought them together doesn't get in the way.
I love omegaverse romances so an Omegaverse romance with a fat mc? Sign me up! I really enjoyed the story, Haven is a broke omega who entered herself in the reaping in exchange for money to help take care of her dying parents. When the TV network comes to collect, she's thrown onto the late night version of the popular daytime show 'Omega Girls'. There she slowly falls in love with a feral alpha and the camera guy who seem to have a lot of shared history. Overall, this was a story I absorbed in a day. Is it the best book Ive ever read? No, it definitely had some flaws to it, but it was a fun read and I'm a sucker for omegaverse.
My main issue with the story is that even though Haven is referred to in the title as the 'fat omega' she's only ever mentioned in the book as curvy. She's never described as fat, but it is heavily implied by the blatant fatphobia on the set of the Omegaverse version of The Batchelorette. The production team and side characters kept mentioning that she's not the beauty standard and being insanely fatphobic to a character who just seems to have a wider hourglass figure (Ya know, like the beauty standard 🙄). The author uses descriptors such as curvy, and takes the time to describe how big her hips, butt and boobs are, but never mentions any other part of Haven's body. Felt like a cop out. I kept waiting for anyone to mention a soft belly, rolls, thick thighs or stretch marks, but it never came up. The author avoided those descriptors. So for those reasons, idk if I'd really consider it a fat girl book rec. 🙃
Plot: Haven needs to repay a debt, so she ends up on a competition reality-tv show that is supposed to match omegas with a pack. She's put in the so-called "failure flats," where scenes are filmed in an "after dark" setting. The first person she meets is the cameraman, Arlo, who is hiding an important secret. Then she meets the alpha they've secured to take care of her, Reese - fresh out of prison and with a bone to pick with Arlo. The three of them together have a lot to work through, but some things are just meant to be.
Commentary: My biggest complaint? The ending was rushed. However, I did like the way that Haven combined a sort of practicality (about what other people saw in her) and contentment with herself. She wasn't down on herself like a lot of "curvy" heroines are, but I also don't think she was completely aware of how attractive she was to a lot of people (outside of the entertainment industry). She was sweet as can be, and classy as well. I actually think that Reese had more self-esteem issues than Haven did. I do wish that there had been a little more attention paid to Haven. It sometimes felt that she was just the omega to be dealt with until Reese and Arlo made it to each other.
This is my first book by this author, I started it yesterday evening and finished it in one sitting. I can't describe how much I loved it.
I loved how fast-paced the book is, and everything was given its time without it being a bore, although I would've preferred more grovelling from Arlo and Reese.
I also loved how this book contradicted the rich Alpha - abused omega stereotypes, it was refreshing.
Arlo was so loyal and in love Reese, driven by guilt for something he didn't do, he dedicated all his time to free Reese, protect him, and provide for him when is free, which is usually an Alpha's role. Reese was full of self-hate and shame due to the people's view of feral Alpha's, it took him a heartbroken Omega to realise his value and importance. Haven was a nice addition to Arlo and Reese's relationship. She was so loving and selfless, making their relationship flourish.
I think this book was more focused on Arlo and Reese than on Haven, which was better in my opinion. But I think the ending was a bit rushed and left us needing to know more how they worked their relationship after they reconciled and their dynamic in the relationship.
All in all, I really like this book and I totally recommend it.

Kerry had a knack for getting me emotionally invested with the 3 main characters in the first 15 pages. Kerry shows us Arlo, Resse and Haven’s fears, strengths and vulnerabilities right out of the gate and I loved all 3 from the start.
Fat Omega is basically omegaverse meets the bachelor which is a cute idea, especially if you are a fan of the show. The fmc is Haven who was very likable and sweet. She’s had a tough life but she doesn’t let that get her down.
A lot of the plot centers around Arlo and Reese who have a long and painful history together. I loved their relationship and their healing journey. They both adore Haven and the 3 of them find love, acceptance, forgiveness together. It did at times feel like Haven wasn’t as much a part of the relationship as they were which made sense since have know each other for so much longer but if felt more MM+F.
Would have loved to read more about their lives after the show but before the epilogue.
My favorite quote “All we can do is devote our lives to their happiness. You think you can’t do that, then don’t make a pack. But if you think you can love them better than anyone else, the rest will follow.”
ARC provided by author TW: short, on page violence against the mfc.
I really liked the idea of this book- that a woman who wasn't as physically perfect as omegas should be would get her time to shine- but it didn't really pull that off. The writing was well done and there were some nice spicy scenes, but the book focused so much more on the relationship between two male characters so that our supposed main female omega character took a back seat to her own story. Like so many other stories involving fat women, she was only a secondary character which is almost insulting since it's supposed to be her story. She's an omega and still she can't be the center of attention because she's fat? It's blatantly clear the book focuses on the alpha - if the title and the cover illustrated that at least it wouldn't seem so misleading or disappointing.
I'm a fat girl (and just to be clear, the woman on the cover is NOT fat) and I was really hoping this would be a story for me and it wasn't. The more I think about it, the more disappointing it is. If the author thought she was featuring fat women or being body positive by writing this, she failed. All she did is prove that even in the omegaverse, being fat will always leave you as a second class citizen even if you're an omega.
Haven is an omega, and she has just been chosen to go on the Omega reality show, lottery style. But, she's not the typical slim, graceful omega, so she is relegated to the late night viewing. There, she meets Arlo, her cameraman, and Reese, the feral omega released from prison to help her through her rapidly approaching heat. What she doesn't know is that Arlo is the reason Reese was in prison, and he's been trying to get him out for the last 10 years. They are all living together in a small apartment, and the camera is often on, and the attraction is simmering in every direction.
I enjoyed this one a lot, with it's mix of quasi-second chance romance between Reese and Arlo, reality show forced proximity between them and Haven, and it's general omegaverseness. Of course, Reese isn't just the rough bruiser he has had to become in prison, and Haven and Arlo both tease out his protective tenderness. And Arlo has a secret of his own, which impacts everything about his life. This is a true polyamorous grouping, and it's lovely to see the fits and starts that move their unconventional relationship forward.
Haven signed up for the omega lottery for the cash. Her parents were sick, and it seemed like free money. The Omega Girls show would never ACTUALLY choose her…but she got the call.
Arlo was just trying to be loyal to his family, years and years ago. But, by doing so, he sent an innocent man to prison. One he had the biggest crush on. It’s been Arlo’s mission in life to get his friend out, and Omega Girls is the way to do it.
Reese never killed that man, but the police needed someone to take the fall. As an Alpha, people have followed him for his knot. He thinks that’s all he’s good for. So, when he’s shipped out to be on the Omega Girls show, as essentially a BOB with legs for the Omegas to use while in heat, he just goes with it.
None of them expected to fall so hard, so fast. All of them have their own issues. Can they get their ‘ish together and become a pack? Or is everything that you see on reality television as fake as you think it is?
I am trying to read different authors who write Omegaverse books.....for research. Really, research. So for the lore and world-building I really enjoyed this book. I like the idea that an earthquake in California unlocks some latent magic and dynamics in people. Betas are just what everyone used to be. That's interesting.
The concept of omega-centered reality television is also interesting, I love that. I think my one complaint about this book is almost too big of a spoiler to put in a review. But spoiler alert:
I wish Arlo really was a beta. I thought I was reading a book about an alpha, beta, and omega pack, and having Arlo not be a beta through a different dynamic than I was really looking for. But it was still good. I mean....I also hate a hero who says nasty things and hurts the object of his heart's desire because he doesn't think he deserves them or whatever. That's one of my least favorite tropes.
I had to settle in a bit first with this one since it's a new OV world with its own lore, but quickly got pulled in (there's a super fun twist early in the book that made me GASP) and almost finished the whole thing in one sitting.
After designating as an omega and given a loan (of sorts) from an omega-centered production studio, the debt is called in a little over ten years later and Haven has to participate in a late night reality series where she is set to meet some packs. Little does she know that the beta camera man and initial alpha she meets have a history that converges on her in ways she wouldn't expect! Spice is nice. 3.9/5 spicy bois level.
I enjoyed meeting Haven and some of the other omegas in this book and look forward to seeing where Kerry goes next with the Omega Girls Series.
Haven qualified for an Omega TV show where she meets Arlo a “beta” and Reese an Alpha. Reese is a feral alpha released from prison to just do the show. Arlo is actually an omega passing as a beta. He grew up with Reese and blames himself for Reese going to prison. He works for the TV show as a cameraman. Giving him the opportunity to sponsor Reese’s release hoping to make amends. When these three come together there are sparks flying, slick dripping and knotty times galore. They definitely have a real connection. Reese doesn’t feel worthy and pushes Haven away. Hurting Haven deeply. There were some self esteem issues for them that they all had to work through before they could finally be a pack and get their HFN.
A curvy omega, a feral alpha, and a beta with a secret.
🍋 Standalone 🍋 Human Omegaverse 🍋 Why choose 🍋 MMF ⚔️ 🍋 Multi POV 🍋 Curvy FMC 🍋 Second chance
This majority of the story is set on a reality TV show with a dynamic crafted after The Bachelor, which I don’t watch at all, or any shows like that for that matter, but don’t let it put you off if you’re like me and have a mild to moderate disdain for reality TV. It really only leans into The Bachelor-esque style towards the end and characters within the “show” seem genuine and not over-the-top fake.
Fat Omega is a great fast read, the main characters each suffering from their own bouts of shame, guilt, inadequateness, but not heavy on the drama, and I absolutely loved it.
This book was a wonderfully unexpected treat for me. The first book I've read from this author and it likely won't be my last. I really enjoyed reading about Haven, Arlo and Reese.
Haven is an Omega that comes from not the most affluent background. Told she doesn't fit typical Omega beauty standards and then is relegated to the offshoot "after dark" version of The Omega Girls reality tv show. This is where she meets Reese and Arlo. One has just gotten out of prison for murder and the other is a beta camera man. Or are they really what they appear?
You'll have to read this to find out and once you do I am sure you will want to read the next book too.
Sweet and Simple Omegaverse This was a cute read, but I wanted more! It felt short and slightly rushed. The main characters were great and would have been even better to me if they’d had more time to develop.
The dynamic was very ‘The Bachelor’ meets Omegaverse and I did absolutely love Haven and her personality. What frustrated me was that the relationship between MMCs and her was disjointed because of the MM aspect. I’m usually a big fan of MM in Omegaverse but this just felt… forced.
Overall, I loved this book and I’m excited for the next one in the series.
I’m a big Kerry fan and received this as an ARC copy. I had never read anything from the Omegaverse before and was intrigued. This was a pretty well-written story and I found the protagonist and both of the male romance interests very compelling but it just felt like something was missing. I believe that taking more time to explore the back story of the men would’ve gone a long way, as would more exploration of the peripheral cast members on Omega Girls. The ending also felt a bit abrupt, although I’m glad it was a happy one! Overall, I found it a quick and enjoyable read, though less well-developed than some of her other work. Really looking forward to continuing the series.

I like the idea of the plot. I like the main heroine and all the body positivity going on. But…. I simply don’t like the alpha hero on this. He spends the whole thing being grumpy and saying he’s just good for sex. And then the author proceeds to just show they having sex, and not many other type of bonding scenes between them. And there’s a bunch of other plot points with his brother and another omega. And the Tv show dynamics. And omega freedom? None of it was well developed for me. Basically, good plot ideas, poor execution. Also I wished that the heroine chose other pack instead of the other main characters.
I have been in a reading slump so I decided to get a book that I normally wouldn’t pick up - omegaverse, isn’t exactly my jam. But seeing the blurb describe this as a reality tv setup and I was intrigued. I enjoyed parts of this and the fat rep wasn’t bad, since the FMC wasn’t spending 99% of her time running herself down for her weight. My struggle the imbalance with the MmF throuple. Wanted more time developing the relationship between the three participants and the alpha MMC’s low self esteem was frustrating if understandable. I mean, it wasn’t bad but it’s definitely not a subgenre for everyone.
Overall I thought this was cute! I always enjoy a love story with a plus size female lead. At just around 200 pages I think the story was fairly well rounded. I do think the relationship between the guys felt more well rounded and believable for the page length, the relationships with the female could have used a bit more story, but I know it's not always easy in a shorter book. Overall I would read more books from this author, this is the first book I've read from them.
I was really interested in this book because it feature a different kind of omega. Different in that she's more of a plus size than the regular slender omega. Being a plus size reader, I was looking forward to reading this one. Its different and yet in line with what we are kind of use to in our own world. I didn't mind the situation she found herself in but I guess it was kind of cheesy in a way too. However, it seemed to work out so not complaining. I enjoyed it for sure. May not be everyone's cup of tea.
I can’t believe how awesome this book was. Not only was the omega curvy but she loved a poor life and didn’t do all the things most omegas do. Haven is so sweet I just loved her from the beginning.Arlo and Reese hottie don’t heir own right but one of them is a feral alpha . I loved how those two came together and forgave one another . Then welcoming haven and making the three of them a pack was a dream come true. I loved the vibe of the whole book . I can’t wait to see what comes next from this author and I’m super excited to find out.
I loved this book. I'm not much of a reality show watcher, and I've never watched The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, but I was intrigued by the premise of this book plus mix in omegaverse and I couldn't not read it! I completely fell in love with the main characters Arlo, Reese, and Haven. Arlo and Reese have history, so there was a bit more for them, but I loved that this was a MMF romance. I also loved the body positivity message in this book surrounding Haven. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. 5 stars.
