Hopefully i can convey into words how i felt while reading this book. I was very intrigued to know what was happening but it did take me a bit to get used to storyline it was a bit slow but then it started to progress pretty fast this was an emotional and sad read especially for our main female character Caroline is a lovely gal but she's been through so much and continues to go through things most of it is mental. This is low steam, but suspenseful. Like i said some moments were good but at times sadly i did get bored. I will say when it at the 96% i didn't expect certain things to happen. This ends as a cliff hanger.

This is (still) a kindle freebie and something about it intrigued me. The blurb gives you a good tease but obviously not enough and as I was reading, it definitely drew me in.
I'll try not to give anything away but the story does take a left turn. You have to have some faith and I was fine with all that. What I wasn't fine with was being left in that left turn place. I felt it took a lot away from the story.
It would seem the author did this to have you rooting for this one couple but I just felt alienated.
Things weren't all bad. I loved the premise and I was happy to finally get an explanation. I'm just hoping the second book comes through.

THE SOUL ALWAYS REMEMBERS was such a sweet, sweet romance. It definitely is a cross between OUTLANDER & THE NOTEBOOK in so many wonderful, beautiful ways.
One of my favorite parts was getting to go back to Augustina’s time and seeing how her and Frank fell in love. For a time, you forget that Caroline is trying to solve a mystery through her dreams and you are living in total, blissful ignorance as we watch two soulmates find one another.
But as the story nears the end, it was as if time is speeding back up. You get catapulted into remembering we are here for one cruel and life shattering reason. And I, for one, cannot wait to see what happens next for Caroline, August and Frank. What happened in their past and what awaits them in their future?
This book was so powerful and absolutely heart wrenching, it completely stole my heart. It consumed my time and had me turning the pages as quickly as I could. But not too quickly, so not to miss out on any key information. I can’t wait to see what happens next for Caroline and if she finds her soulmate in this life. 5 Stars!

The Soul Always Remembers (The Beacon Series) is romantic and unique. The past and the present intersect and intertwine. Georgia Cates has flexed her writing skills and takes the reader on a beautiful journey transitioning between the past and the present. The New Orleans setting brings out the mystery and the charm. The story flows through the pages.
Caroline Beaumont was four years old when the past began reaching out to her. Diagnosed with schizophrenia has left her to lead a life filled with medication and hidden "episodes." But there is more. Visions and voices also play a key role in her life.
I've accepted my fate as a a freak of nature. A misfit.
The Soul Always Remembers has captured my heart! The ending has left room for more and there are still questions that need to be answered. Can't wait for book two: The Soul Never Forgets!

YES! what a beautiful story! I don't want to say too much for fear of giving something away, but this was just amazing. The past and present collide within Caroline and she is finally getting some answers to things that have plagued her through her whole life. Be warned though, this ends on a cliffhanger, so you will have to wait to see the final end. I'll be on pins and needles until that is released!

WHAT A READ! Georgia gives a disclaimer that this isn’t her typical type of book, but this was probably one of the best books I’ve read – and that’s saying a lot for me! This book focuses on Caroline Beaumont and Augustina Lebeau, and as we start to read, we find out that Augustina is a past life of Caroline’s, and she has unfinished business. Growing up, Caroline was thought to be schizophrenic because of how the past life has manifested in her, but now that she knows who Augustina is, she is determined to see things through with the help of her grandmother and trace Augustina’s steps in present time to find out what happened and how she can close that chapter. I was truly blown away by how obsessed I became with this book. In the beginning, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel between the disclaimer and how the book started, but a few chapters in and I became engrossed with it and by the end I was screaming at the cliffhanger that gave us some answers while opening a ton more that are to be answered in the next book and I cannot wait!

So the plot goes that Caroline Beaumont has always had weird visions and thoughts and dreams. Of a Woman that she sees in the mirror instead of her own face and sometimes of a man calling out for her.
Her mother, though, thinks she's a headcase because of which she's being made to take a number of meds and being on a constant to visit her doctors so as to prevent such episodes and help her 'schizophrenia'.
On a random night out with friends, a stranger offers her a drink and before she knows it her friends along with the stranger now known as Landon and his friends are off to have a reading from a psychic.
Although, she resists and all but abandons her gang l'est they her 'secrets' but she comes back alone along with her darling 'Coco' her grandmother to seek answers from Miss Seraphine to see if she can finally help her find some answers to the voices in her head.

I loved loved how Caroline and Coco start searching and planning things. How one by one they start putting the pieces together to the puzzle of Augustina and Frank's story.
But Frank himself seems to be calling out to Caroline and Caroline starts dreaming and becoming Augustina every night when her dreams take her to another time, in a different place.
OH MY.... I can't tell you how fast I was turning the pages on this one. It was such a gorgeously painted movie told in words through each chapter and sentense beautifully making us experience in real colours the magic of true love and a mystery that is inexplicable and astounding for sure.
Mind you that last chapter does give us answers so you are not left hanging so to speak but it does end in a way that you know lots of it is coming and definitely there are so many unanswered questions that need to be addressed.
An absolute Heart-Touching Beaut was what this one was. Loved loved freaking loved this one. 5+ Stars for this stunning beauty. 💋💋💋💋💋💋💋

I loved loved how Caroline and Coco start searching and planning things. How one by one they start putting the pieces together to the puzzle of Augustina and Frank's story.
But Frank himself seems to be calling out to Caroline and Caroline starts dreaming and becoming Augustina every night when her dreams take her to another time, in a different place.
OH MY.... I can't tell you how fast I was turning the pages on this one. It was such a gorgeously painted movie told in words through each chapter and sentense beautifully making us experience in real colours the magic of true love and a mystery that is inexplicable and astounding for sure.
Mind you that last chapter does give us answers so you are not left hanging so to speak but it does end in a way that you know lots of it is coming and definitely there are so many unanswered questions that need to be addressed.
An absolute Heart-Touching Beaut was what this one was. Loved loved freaking loved this one. 5+ Stars for this stunning beauty. 💋💋💋💋💋💋💋

The Soul Always Remembers was a captivating read. The author advises that this book is different from her other works. I would have to agree with her. This book was different from her past works but was different on a wonderful way.
I am not a blurb reader. I don’t like to have preconceived notions about what I am about to read. This book was an experience. I was truly caught up in the premise of the book and the characters. It was easy to be swept away to another time and place. The images coming to life between the pages and getting caught up in the mystery and Frank and Angelina’s love story.
I can truly say that I loved everything about this book, well except for Angelina’s parents and Caroline’s mom.
If you are looking for an escape that will weave you a tale that spans time do yourself a favor and grab this book.
I will be anxiously awaiting the next installment in this series.

This books is very different of the romance I usually read, I didn’t expect to like it so much.
I don’t want to give much away because I think you deserve to go blindly and discover things as they go. I certainly got surprised at least twice while reading it.
Plot, setting, characters, I loved everything about this book. It’s my first time reading one of Georgia Cates, but I’m already a fan! This book is not a standalone and while one part of the story was concluded, at least one of the main characters will come back in the next. I can’t wait to see how it’ll go.

Intriguing story Line, hard to put down.
This story!!!! Georgia, Loved the direction that you took with this book. Its not her tradional story line which I loved, she did ask us to stay open. The fact that the story takes place in a city like New Orleans only makes the story line more concrete in my eyes. The Love story portrayed shows us how powerful love is and how when 2 souls collide it can transcened through time, past or present. The story line kept me engaged, was full of turns and surprises that I was not expecting. I can not wait for the rest of the books to see how this love story ends.

The Soul Always Remembers was a phenomenal book. The chemistry between Frank&Augustina aka Gussy was mesmerizing. I immediately bonded with the characters and I was consumed with the passion, suspense and secrets Georgia Cates expertly wove into the fabric of the story. Frank&Gussy were destined to find each other and fall in love. Caroline Beaumont was an excellent guide who successfully navigated the past and present to share the beautiful love story of Frank&Gussy!!!! I can’t wait to read the second book. I was given an ARC and I’ve provided an honest review. The book deserves 5 Gold Stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve always been a HUGE fan of Georgia’s, so I wasn’t sure what to expect when she said this book was nothing like her others. It’s definitely not like her other books but it is no less amazing! If you don’t believe in soulmates before you read this book, you will when you’re done.

Hauntingly beautiful and flawlessly written this unique story was so entertaining, in my opinion, it’s best enjoyed by going in blindly!
Soulful, emotional, and suspenseful I was riveted by Caroline’s story and the journey she takes in this story. Additionally, she was so likable and relatable I couldn’t stop reading to discover what would happen with her.
Told in dual POV, past and present I was in reading paradise.
This is the first book in this new series and I cannot wait to see what happens next!

This is a difficult review to write as it's one of those books you need to go in blind for - it was not my usual type of read, I was expecting something more along the PNR / supernatural type read, which this is not, it is more soul mates / star crossed lovers mixed with time travel / mystery / historical.
I did enjoy the story and the way the author told the story, the flash backs between past and present, and even though I really do not like historical reads I did find this one engaging and intriguing which kept those pages turning.
It's the type of story you don't forget in a hurry..... it definitely gave me a couple of surprises along the way. Told from dual POV's and told from two different time lines, which will all become clear as you read the story. This is very much a slow burn with no steam, more of a clean romance.
It's not a standalone, the next book will be picking up right after this one. I am intrigued to see where the author takes the next book.

Caroline has always been different as she can see into the past of people. Some might call her crazy while others don't know her secret. She is drawn to Augustina Lebeau and her story. After meeting a palm reader in New Orleans who knows some of the past she sees. she encourages Caroline to try and think what is happening. As you go on this journey with Caroline and Augustina, it makes you wonder. I can't wait for the second book so we can see the rest of Caroline's journey.

Cates writes a book unlike anything else she’s done before. The flashbacks between Augustine and Caroline bring the story from past to present time. The detail on what she wrote historical aspect is great. As a young girl August tries to break free from her controlling parents to be with the man she loves. Book #1 focus on the past can’t wait to read how Caroline finds her soulmate in Beacon #2.

5+ stars 🌟 this is one of the most beautiful stories I have read in a long long time. I couldn't put it down and knew that sleep is no longer important, I had to finish this story. The story itself is so beautiful, mysterious, gripping and very very sweet. "When soulmates meet, you just know... once you look in each others eyes, you just feel it!"

Es una historia lenta en la cual al final me quede en el aire ja ja ja no entendi realmente que paso, en este tipo de historias vamos a vidas anteriores para tratar de arreglar en el presente lo que no se puedo hacer en el pasado, pero esta segun entendi si se cambio el pasado pero no me quedo muy claro, aparte de que queda evidentemente en el Continuara....menos mal que espere tener el segundo libro para continuar que si no odiaria tener que esperar.
Es un amor muy Rosa, una diferencia inmensa de clases sociales y una homicidio que se esclarece al final del libro peroooo el cual......no le sigo que hago spolier.
Y como siempre digo a por la segunda para hacerme una mejor idea de la historia porque este primer libro me dejo muy confundida.

It is one of my favorites of Georgias. I truly loved the concept of Caroline’s so called schizophrenia being tied to her past life. I’m a hopeless romantic and love the story line of the Soul always remembers with true love. I am hoping the story is continued in book 2, and I’m ready to get it here! Of course, it’s in my geographical region, so I truly enjoy that. I also loved the family dynamics written in the story line. It was slightly slow at first but I don’t fully fault Mrs. Cates, because when life is busy it interferes with my reading. It was great with visual concepts and you could truly escape into scenes. Would make a great movie, but it the story still doesn’t feel completed yet…. Book 2?
