My stepsister is gone. The ones responsible called themselves family. By blood, and now by marriage. I want to destroy them for what they’ve done. Burn everything they have to the ground. But first I need to find her. Ryth. The pathetic, little mouse that scurried into our lives and made a home. I can’t forget her, can’t get her out of my head. She unleashed something dangerous in me. Something that drove me to ruin her. And ruined myself in the process. She was once a game to me… She still is…only this time it’s for keeps.
I enjoyed the 1st book more, however, this one did not disappoint. I do have a few issues though.
1) I understand each brother went through different ways to get her back... Cool. But why did they not talk to one another on how they were going to go through with their plans?! Caleb is constantly saying that Tobias was going to kill him for what he would have to do... Well he didn't once you told him.
2) After Caleb rescues Ryth she's an instant bitch to him though knowing full well what he said to the other girl got Killian off her and the fact he came in there on his own to get her out? She pissed me off 😂
3) A lot of the action was very hard to keep up with but I think I managed to piece it together.
4) A couple of mixups happened. One minute a girl is wearing red and the next it's black. One minute a guy is on the floor with one of the brothers above him and the next they are facing each other or he's laying on the floor shot and the next he's walking around.
5) If they talked to each other and had a proper plan, the ending this wouldn't have gone south so fast and now we are left with no knowing what happened to Tobias and Nick 😭 cliffhanger!!!!
6) Caleb is still my fav and no one can tell me otherwise.
However, it was very good though I'm scared the puppy is left alone and isn't gonna get fed... Please!!! I need Rebel to be okay 😭

This book was more action packed than the first and kept my attention better. It picks up right where the first left off and you start to see the seedy world they’ve been dragged into. The order kidnapped Ryth which is basically a place that traffics and sell women. But there’s more to it than that where Ryth’s concerned. They tell her she’s always belong to the order and made a comment “who you call your father” implying he may not be.
She also meets Viv who ends up trying to keep her alive in there and helps her escape. She apparently is also the next FMC in the other books within the series.
It really ticked me off how stupid Caleb was and basically walked into a trap which in turn ends up resulting in him and Ryth back at the order, Tobias severely injured and who knows where Nick is. Like why??????
There was too much action to unpack in a review… I need more answers… 😑😡🤬
This book was just okay for me. This book took a total 180 and Ryth is just dumb in this book but also the brothers don't communicate with each other which would have saved so much pain and hassle if they just talked and told each other what was going on. Ryth gets taken to the order house which is basically a training house where the girls are sold and trained to be nothing but to be screwed by men. Ryth is still up and down first she is strong and fights been the freaks out and cries and curls on a corner. The brothers go through different ways to get into the order to get Ryth out but will they succeed you'll have to read. This book will trigger some so beware. Also ends on cliffhanger now on to the 3rd book
"Hers" by A.K. Rose is the second installment in the Blood Ties series. It was an okay listen, but nothing special. The story continues the dark, intense dynamics between Ryth and her stepbrothers as they navigate betrayal and danger.
The first chapters focus heavily on mafia-related discussions and the brothers’ mission to retrieve Ryth, which overshadows character development and slows the pacing. At times, it was hard to stay engaged.
While the book has moments of intensity and explores the darker sides of some characters, those looking for a stronger balance between action and romance may find somethings missing.

"Mine" by A.K. Rose is the second book in the series, and it’s just as amazing as the first! The plot is seriously good and keeps you guessing the whole way through. I still can't wrap my head around the entire story, which makes it even better!
The twists are crazy, and the characters are hot as hell. Their chemistry is off the charts, making every interaction electrifying. If you're looking for a book that's full of surprises and steamy moments, "Mine" is the one for you.
I couldn't put this down! As soon as I finished A. K. Rose's MINE, I had to immediately start on HERS... and I wasn't disappointed. From the Banks Brothers, to the Dark Romance Tropes that we all have come to love, A.K. Rose has done it again! I devoured every page turning thrill in this amazing read. I am so beyond Thrilled that I got the beautifully curated special edition Book Box from her. The extras are so special, and the books are beautiful!
It's definitely a dark romance ! It can be hard reading a few parts that's for sure. I loved the storyline and the main characters stories and I love the cliff hanger it leaves for the third book. Don't read if you can't handle triggers because it can get pretty....dark.
I demolished this book, I liked the first one better however it was still a really good read. I liked that it focused a little more on the brothers but I also really wanted more on Ryth. The ending has left me wanting to know more, can’t wait to start book 3
I still love this series and this book is even more delicious than the first. This story is so good and ugh just read it. You will not be disappointed and will be wanting step brothers.
Book was ok… some good chapters but it was an interesting storyline. Nothing really making me feel like I need to find out what happened next. Kinda predictable storyline. However I hope book 3 will have a more exciting book.
Yess this was what I needed! The last book ended with a cliffhanger soo that had to be answered.
The best way to describe this one, is like hunting Adeline part 1 with a different twist 🥹 The taboo gets better in this one 🥰 and ofcourse so does the spice !
Definitely recommend if you’re reading the TW & CW ! It is dark
Favourite quotes:
“ Take it…” I whispered, and forced my eyes open. “Take everything…just not her.” ~ Caleb 🥲
“You touched what belonged to me.” I lifted the muzzle. “You caused her pain.” My finger wrapped around the trigger. “There is no universe where I'd allow that to happen again. She is mine. She is ours. And we are…hers. ~ Caleb 🫠
