One can look at least 1000+ ideas, tactics, and techniques to make your goal come true in the world in this book, which reveals the success secrets of 21 entrepreneurs from Kerala.

These business owners work in a wide range of sectors, from more established ones like FMCG, Gold & Diamonds, and Pharma (LuLu Group, Kalyan Jewelers, etc.) to more modern ones like IT and Ed-tech (Byju's, Infosys, etc.). It is, in my opinion, the highlight of this book. Books that discuss scale economics and conventional business are hard to come by these days. These companies are flourishing not just in our own nation but also in the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

The book forces us to read it quickly because the language is more enticing and sounds like a business story. Although I have a lot of favourite business books by international authors, Roshan's most recent work shed light on the difficulties Malayali businesspeople faced and the distinctive contributions they made to society as entrepreneurs.

You might like to wander through a few artistic journals — they’re full of sparks and surprises.

📍i read entrepreneurship as part of my curriculum & i believe an entrepreneur is one who is ready to take risks & is passionate about his calling, is persistent, creative, ready to learn at each step & has clarity of mind, an insatiable urge to achieve.

Also an entrepreneur is successful only if he is good at making good human relations on the way, gives back to society & never leaves humility as a value.

In this book, the author talks about the unique, inspiring journey of 21 such people of varied industries but similar qualities, who share their insights & learnings too.

One such person is M.A.Yusuff Ali, founder & chairman of #lulu group. He joined his family business & spread it across the Gulf. He woed the ruler there with his loyalty, humility & determination. He has won highest civilian honour of Bahrain and Abu Dhabi as well as Pravasi Bharatiya Samman & Padma Shri in India. He didnot forget his roots & kept giving back to his people in the form of more job opportunities.

He had a thirst & capability to turn challenges to opportunities. His journey is really magnanimous & inspiring. He never forgot his grandfather's teachings & values which helped him scale unimaginable heights.

Kerala had been trading on the west coast in spice for ages. This book brings forth 21 insightful journeys & the author aspires to bring more in his next book. Simple lang. but priceless teachings.

ala is hardly ever associated to entrepreneurship, or so I believed till I read through God’s Own Entrepreneurs : The Success Secret of 21 Entrepreneurs from Kerala by business journalist R Roshan.
Starting with the seasoned and generation entrepreneurs such as M A Yusuf Ali, Ravi Pillai, and Kochouseph Chitilapilly, et al, the book also explores first generation entrepreneurs such as Byju Raveendran, Arun Kumar (Strides Pharma Science), M P Ramachandran (Jyothi Labs). We also get to know about Pamela Ann Mathew, who heads O/E/N India, the only woman entrepreneur who made it into this list of 21 entrepreneurs from Kerala.
A concise and insightful look into these success stories makes this book a must-read for anyone who holds a passion in getting into an entrepreneurial journey in or from Kerala. You get a sense of what many diligent, ambitious and visionary men and women(?) have experienced and endured to get to where they are at. This makes it a truly remarkable read for those with a keen interest in the area.

No matter what level of an experience or expertise we possess as an entrepreneur, whether we’re just thinking about starting or whether we have already started a few successful businesses, there is always a great deal of benefit that we can gain from advice of other knowledgeable individuals.

Now, these are the people who have followed a similar journey to what we are about to embark upon and hence reading about their circumstances and situations that they went through definitely helps in boosting our confidence.

In the book, ‘God's Own Entrepreneurs: The Success Secrets of 21 Entrepreneurs from Kerala’ by R Roshan, the author has compiled the stories of twenty one such entrepreneurs who paved their own way to their success and became an inspiration to others in doing so.

The one prominent thing which we can see after reading these stories was that most of the entrepreneurs mentioned here did not come from a business background family or with tons of mediums readily available to them.

But rather, their success lies in how they were able to make the best of their circumstances and find a way out of their challenges, thereby showing us how if they could do it, then we can, too.

Reading about all of their contribution to the society was an enriching experience and is definitely something that will give the necessary inspiration to the readers in order to rev up their engines, hence I am going to give this book FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book delves into the inspiring journeys of 21 entrepreneurs hailing from Kerala, India from Lulu Hypermarket's founder to Malabar Gold, Kalyan, Joyalukkas. And From Byjus to Infosys, this book presents detailed narratives of individuals who have built successful ventures across various sectors, including construction, gold trading, hospitality, healthcare, retail, and technology.

The book highlights themes such as persistence, creativity, and a rerusal to accept the status quo, showcasing how these entrepreneurs overcame challenges to establish global businesses.

One common pattern I can note in almost all of them is giving back to society. They spend enormous amount for societal improvement which improves the quality of living overall and generates next generation of entrepreneurs.

🏴 God's Own Entrepreneurs: The Success Secrets Of 21 Entrepreneurs from Kerala 🏴
By R. Roshan

🖋️This book is about business and some of its related areas.I am a newbie to a topic called Business and Entrepreneurs. No one related to me has any interest or passion in the business.I chose this book only for one reason, that is I am from another state, which is very close to Kerala. And some of my relatives are from Kerala.

🖋️From the title of this book you can understand what this book is about. In this book the author spoke beautifully about 24 entrepreneurs in Kerala, their success, how they got to where they are and their lives.

🖋️After finish reading this, I’ve spent a lot of time trying to figure out exactly what I want to say about this book. It’s an amazing business journal. If I write about this book here it will not make you understand "what's in it or about it?".If one wants to know about this book he should sit and read it.

🖋️This is most definitely a profound book and it is one that dug itself deep down into my bones. Whilst my own childhood trauma was not anywhere near as bad as the author's reading this definitely brought a few things back up to the surface. But it is only by confronting these things and finding a way to manage them can we ever hope to find a way back.

🖋️This is most definitely a profound book and it is one that dug itself deep down into our mind, if we are into business. I think this is possibly that this books is best to read in between something of a lighter note. Too easy is it to be dragged down by such an awesome topic. Even if it did take some time to find a way to stop being swallowed whole by it. This book will no doubt stay with us for a long while after having turned the last page.

🖋️ All of us have this thought that if someone has achieved a success or reach some height, we all very eager to know how that person achieved that success or reached that height.I don't know about others, but I always have that one thought. This book will definitely help people like me.

️Totally Recommended

In this book talk about the stories of 21 different individuals with varied backgrounds connected only by that invisible thread we call “entrepreneurial spirit.
It has a great mix of stories from traditional gold, spices, backwater tourism, and construction to modern retail, IT, Hospitals, and the world’s most successful ed-tech from a young man with a gift for teaching through entertainment.

#bookreview| God's Own Entrepreneurs: The Success Secrets of 21 Entrepreneurs from Kerala | 4☆

Review in association with @kharidobechobooks

"Kerala has a deep history of entrepreneurship that dates back to the time when this narrow strip of land on the west coast of India started trading in spices with Arabs and later with the Portuguese. Since time immemorial, it has produced some excellent and bold entrepreneurs, many of whose names are lost to the sands of time."

-

R.Roshan, in his book 'God's Own Entrepreneurs,' talks about 21 entrepreneurs from Kerala who established enormous global corporations. The book is not just an assembly of plain and dry facts. It has enough elements to motivate its readers and might delve into the field of entrepreneurship. If not anything, they will end up reading more books from the field of business and innovation.

The book has talked about the motivations, the philosophies, and what made these 21 entrepreneurs venture into the businesses and eventually shine, how they managed to scale heights in those businesses.

I love the way the book is structured. It has adequately captured their personal struggles and their learnings from it. I thoroughly enjoyed going through this book. I've come across many new facts. It was an insightful read. My only complaint is that I wished the chapters were a bit longer. I'm hungry to read more about them. The small chapters didn't quench my thirst. Eagerly waiting to read more such books on Indian entrepreneurs.

God's Own Entrepreneurs by R. Roshan unravels the success secrets of 21 entrepreneurs from Kerala, one can look at at least 1000+ ideas, strategies and ways to make your dream come true in the world.
He has explored their journeys, business ethics, industries, and their success secrets briefly in this book.
These entrepreneurs belong to very diverse industries, from traditional businesses like FMCG, Gold & Diamonds, Pharma, (LuLu group, Kalyan jewelers, etc.) to new age businesses like IT, Ed-tech (Byju's, Infosys, etc). For me, it's the best thing about this book. These days, we rarely find books that talk about traditional businesses and scale economics. These businesses are doing great, not just in our home country, but also in the Middle East, Europe, and American regions.
The most exciting peculiarity of the book is that, it narrates all the major milestones in the growth of all 21 business personalities who established their trade empires in the heart of people across the world. Along with well known M A Yusuff Ali, Ravi Pillai, Byju Ravendran , Kris Gopalakrishnan and other eminent faces, women entrepreneur Pamel Anna Mathews business life shows that business is not just a man show, Kerala women too have the calibre to survive in the most complicated world of business.
Some entrepreneurs excel in a realm where they don't have experience at all.
The writing is so good. (Obviously, the author is a business journalist).
My expectations missed out from the author is their struggles, everyone would have gone through something or the other obstacles (especially abroad). The author could have covered that too.

. In india , normally the Indian communities of Parsis, Marwaris, Jains, Chettiyars, and Khatris are known for their business acumen and are often celebrated but Malayalis, as a community, have not been lauded for their entrepreneurial spirit. This book is a welcome edition to fill up that gap .
This book enlightens us in the entrepreneurial journey of 21 leading businessmen from Kerala who have written their name not only in India but also in world. Thus one can understand the pun in the title of the book.
As it is said in book quote
'Whether it’s M.A.Yusuff Ali who built a giant retail business on foreign shores or Kris Gopalakrishnan and S.D.Shibulal, who built a tech conglomerate out of India taking on global giants, or Byju Raveendran’s audacious journey of building the world’s most valuable ed-tech company, each of these stories is unique. The book takes us deeper into their motivations, their personal philosophies, what made them venture into the businesses they eventually shone in, and how they managed to scale heights in those businesses.' unquote
In addition to creating large enterprises, they have created tens of thousands of jobs and all of them are connected only by that invisible thread we call “entrepreneurial spirit.”,
Every story is a case study and will serve as an inspiration to entrepreneurs. They show, despite limitations, one can create wealth using sheer grit and perseverance.
A book to read if you quickly want to know the entrepreneurial journey of these leading men of India.

🕸️The book is about 21 entrepreneurs from Kerala who created large Global businesses, their less known stories failures and eventual triumphs. The book collects short and concise biography of various successful entrepreneurs. Their success stories need to be celebrated along with the stories of startups the world looks up to for inspiration. Their persistence in turning even the worst situation to their favour enabled them to rise to unimaginable heights.

🕸️The book contains life lessons and motivation from people becoming extraordinary from just being ordinary. The stories explores advice, tips and suggestions for entrepreneurship along with importance of innovative ideas on entrepreneurial path. Challenges arose many times but the optimist entrepreneur, never let them weaken. They turned all such challenges into opportunities. They also contributed a lot to society.

🕸️According to PNC Menon, no entrepreneur should set out to chase money and one should chase only success while wealth comes as a by product. Many businesses fail because of lack of humility to listen and learn new things from around. The stories will leave a lasting mark on humanity for decades to come. It advises new entrepreneurs to take risks, never be afraid of failure and develop ventures around their passion that can bring about a change in society. The language of book is simple and easy to understand. The pictures added are inspiring for readers. I recommend this book if you like to explore entrepreneurship and successful entrepreneurs.

God's own entrepreneurs by R.Roshan is a collection of success stories of 21 entrepreneurs of Kerala.
Every entrepreneur returned something for their native place and also for the society. The author covered extremely well their contribution to society along with their awards.
He also included every entrepreneur's important quotes.
"Making quick decisions and getting things done in the right way is essential for succeeding in business. Good opportunities will be lost if we sit contemplating" Joyalukkas.
Most of them were raised in a very humble background and had their schooling in their native place.
The Malayalees touched every region. Shopping mall, education, IT, gold, interior, construction medicine, and what not.
I grew up in a small village in interior Tamil Nadu. We always had variations in power supply (the condition is not much improved even today). We were using a V-guard stabilizer. I am surprised to know about kochouseph's KCF. When we think twice to donate anything to our family members, he donated one of his kidneys to a stranger!!!

Some entrepreneurs excel in a realm where they don't have experience at all.
The writing is so good. (Obviously, the author is a business journalist).
My expectations missed out from the author is their struggles, everyone would have gone through something or the other obstacles (especially abroad). The author could have covered that too.

God's Own Entrepreneurs: The success secrets of 21 entrepreneurs of Kerala by R. Roshan

The business world out there is so vast and huge that surviving in it is not a simple task. Or rather you can say that the one who survives in this business world's tsunami is the real super star.

In this biography entrepreneurship the author has brilliantly put the secrets and efforts of a common man's journey of becoming the most successful entrepreneurs.

It's not just the story of successful people, but also their hard work, their determination and lots of learning for all of us.

"No business is small or worthless until and unless you put your efforts to make it shine."

There are hundreds of colleges who provide you with a degree of management learning but nobody teaches you how to be number one in a particular field. Here in this biography entrepreneurship you will learn the mantra of success, the mantra of hardwork, the story of failure which later turned into a giant success and the art of making history.

The author's skills, knowledge and the initiative for this wonderful outcome is really appreciable. He has keenly mentioned every step the entrepreneurs have taken to achieve their status in society, their brand value, their sacrifices, their kind gesture and rest is history.

This book is a key to success for every person who wants to achieve his or her goal and create history for human kind.

A must read. Highly recommended 👍

God's Own Entrepreneurs is the collection of 21 different stories of individuals who have achieved success in their businesses. The book covers the memoire of the individuals who hailed from the state of Kerala, in India which is also known as God's Own Country. Hence Roshan has wisely chosen the book title which is not only eye-catchy but also makes good sense of its contents.

The stories of the entrepreneurs covered in this book are very inspiring, varied and interesting. I would recommend it. It's not the kind of book you read in one go, but better one picked up occasionally and read one story at a time. It contains the success stories of many great people, some you will have heard of, some perhaps not; all of whom innovated, in their sector of business in one way or another. It may even inspire you with a few ideas which you can apply in your pursuits.

The language is simple and lucid the book cover design is very appealing and suits well to its content. The author has done good research and also taken efforts to individually collect the information about each person mentioned in the book more importantly the author has tried to cover both the opportunities ad the challenges that are faced by each individual in their business which would make it more appealing to the readers. I highly recommended this book to everyone to have a small dose of inspiration during their tough days. I would rate this 4 out of 5 stars.

Since childhood I was always interested in entrepreneurship. I think the main reason for that is because my father is an entrepreneur. I respect every entrepreneur who follows ethics and social responsibility.

I have read this book gradually over the past week and found it a great resource to have in hand. The book 'God's Own Entrepreneurs' by R. Roshan reveals the success secrets of 21 entrepreneurs from God's Own Country i.e. Kerala. Since I'm interested in entrepreneurship I feel more comfortable looking forward the future because of reading this book.

This book consists of many present ruling entrepreneurs like M.A.Yusuff Ali, Ravi Pillai and Byju Raveendran. It gives a well concluded and precise biography of 21 entrepreneurs who gave material contribution nationally and globally. The author has taken time composing the book. Book includes sufficient pictures of the entrepreneurs which is appreciable. We can read the life of entrepreneurs like a motivational story, it's simply amazing.

It's a good resource to expose and educate ourselves about entrepreneurship, risks and tips. Some believe that entrepreneurship cannot be taught and entrepreneurs are born as entrepreneurs and it is flowing through their blood. But I believe that entrepreneurship can be taught and practiced by any potential individual who is interested in doing so.

God's own entrepreneurs:

The book is what it claims to be; it is an inspiring token from R. Roshan where he speaks about 21 entrepreneurs from Kerala. I have never been the kind of reader who would actively read a non fiction but something about this book intrigued me. It could be that this book explores the most courageous people from a beautiful state who took a chance and succeeded.
Entrepreneurship is a scary aspiration because we strive for a goal that is in the unknown; for any other career at least we start knowing to what extent we must walk. However, to become an entrepreneur is a never-ending struggle on a rocky path not knowing when you will reach the mountain.

Honestly, I would recommend this book to everyone who wants to start their own business but are too scared to take the first step. If you need to feel inspired then this is the way to go. I assure you, you will not be disappointed. I have found a new level of confidence from this book learning about all the accomplishments of these brilliant minds who started out with a little over nothing. The writing was captivating and I applaud the writer for having such an ease in his narration. If you enjoy reading fiction and want to learn about the scopes and ambit of entrepreneurship and how to pursue your goal, then I highly suggest you to read this book.

Roshan , the author mentions that it is fortunate for all of us that today's entrepreneurship journeys are being increasing and well - chronicled. This book takes us deeper into their motivations , their personal philosophies what made them venture into the businesses they eventually shone in. Readers will be able to get through lives of M.A Yusuff Ali , Ravi Pillai , Byju Raveendran , Pamella Anna Mathew and many others who have been an inspiration to many. The best part of the book is that it doesn't make the motivation go so lengthy , the content is precise and talks about all the businessmen / woman company growth and ideas.
•••••
I would definitely recommend this book to all who are interested in reading such stories. I also got to know sone unknown facts about these companies. The author has also used images of their families which was also a good way to represent them because often I have seen , the author work cover only about their business tips.

Kerala is a well-known state for its numerous variety of spices, but what else this country is excelling in, is what we need to know.

This book contains 21 great aspiring biographies of entrepreneurs of Kerala, who have excelled and gained success in different fields, which we all aren't aware. Be it the industry of education or medical or agriculture or IT or diamond or gold or medical healthcare, these 21 personalities have succeeded in their expertise, which was commendable.
The author hasn't only talked about hunky-dory times of the entrepreneurs but also told about the failures and failure is also a part of the journey which need to be shared, so that other people learn from that and never gave up during their tough times. With a little perseverance and patience, you can go up on the ladder without any fear.

This book will work as an inspiration for the management students or for the people with business minds who are thinking of start-ups motivating them to take further step to achieve greatest heights.

Language is simple and can be opted by any person who wants to know about these great personalities, which we aren't aware of.

“No matter where you are in life, humility powers a positive mindset in you. Regardless of difficult times, appreciate the people who have contributed their time and energy to help you reach the zenith.”

God's own entrepreneurs - Yes, this book covers the life of 21 entrepreneurs who rose from the land of God’s own country and expanded their fame and business on the global level. Throughout the years, I have read many books related to entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs, but never got one that solely focuses on the Malayali entrepreneurs. And being a Malayali, I was really overwhelmed to read about the legends from my homeland.

The author, who is a business journalist, has poured all his experience and research to coordinate those 21 inspiring journeys within 191 pages. He has focused on both the darker and brighter sides of their lives, serving as an inspiration to the readers on how one can change their weaknesses into strengths and achieve success.

All of these 21 achievers may not be familiar to all, and hence, I would suggest you to give it a read, as it will give you some incredible memoirs to enlighten your spirits.

The invaluable roles of the Malayali entrepreneurs is discussed here through 21 inspiring stories. Entreprenuers from Kerala have contributed a lot for the global economy.

Kerala is known as "God's Own Country". The pleasant environment inspired many individuals to showcase their skills.

Their stories have not been told, as they should have been.

From Byjus to Lulu, in every venture, a great entrepreneur plays a huge role.

At Infopark Kochi stands LuLu Cyber Tower, the tallest IT tower in Kerala.

The book gives perfect insights into the lives of great people like M.A. Yusuff Ali who did not leave his country during the war, instead he capitalized his venture.

Another great is Dr. Ravi Pillai who is one of the most successful businessmen in recent times. He noticed the potential of tourism in his home state, much before anybody else did.

"BYJU’S has become a household name with prudent marketing forays."

Great entrepreneurs leave a mark signifying their farsighted thinking.

The book is unique in portraying the inspirational stories. I liked the pictures inside the book. The cover is intriguing. Recommended to all.
