Magnolia Sound #11

Kiss the Girl

Rate this book
Savannah James is no stranger to heartache and loss. It wasn’t enough to lose two sets of parents, now she’s losing the only person she has left. Escorting Cash Coleman back to Magnolia Sound so he can say goodbye to his family is a no brainer if it means she gets to spend whatever time he has left with him. Once he’s gone, it’s back to her lonely life in Seattle. At least, that’s what she thought would happen before she met Cash’s family—and his youngest son.

When it comes to his father, Jackson Coleman isn’t short on anger. So when the old man comes back to Magnolia Sound to say goodbye, he’s determined not to care. But with Cash comes Savannah, and Jackson starts to question everything he’s ever thought about his father—like why was he able to be a parent to a friend’s daughter when he couldn’t even be there for his own sons? As much as Savannah represents everything he resents about Cash, he also can’t deny the intense attraction he feels for her.

After a lifetime of being left behind, Savannah finally found the one person she wants to stay. But in order to have a chance at a happily ever after with Jackson, she’ll have to fight every instinct she has to not get attached.

I’m late to the Magnolia Sound party but I really enjoyed this book!! Full review to come.

I'm glad I got a chance to read this book (and I'll go back and start at the beginning). I didn't feel lost and I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Savannah and Cash are back in Cash's hometown. She's helping him plan for his goodbyes and is there for him, as he's been for her. There's a lot of hurt and anger in his past but his loved ones are able to hash things out with him and get the time to say what's needed. Doesn't hurt that Savannah meets a good guy along the way! Cash is there to remind her not to run. This book brought ALL. THE. FEELS. and I truly didn't want to put it down. The romance was sweet and perfect for Savannah. Jackson and his brothers are a good group of men and I enjoyed seeing them mend things and come together as a family. The Colemans are good about enveloping those around them with love and support. I enjoyed the comradery the brothers had, as well as the rest of the extended family. I felt like part of their group. I didn't want this book to be over! Well done, Samantha Chase!

5 star review of Kiss The Girl (Magnolia Sound #11) by Samantha Chase
Having read a number of books in the Magnolia Sound series I was excited and sad to read Kiss The Girl knowing that it is the last book in the series. It was everything I was expecting and more as I settled in ready to enjoy my visit to Magnolia Sound.

Jackson Coleman and Savannah James was a fitting story to end the series on. This was at times an emotional roller coaster of a read that touched me on a number of levels. The last thing Jackson expected when he returns home after a career ending injury was his estranged and dying father wanting to reconnect.

As I have come to expect from a Samantha Chase book, it was well written with characters that are engaging and whose story you are quickly drawn into. I really felt for both characters and it was entertaining to watch their relationship develop.

There was so much love, romance and self discovery within the pages of this beautifully written story that will touch your heart, it did mine. I laughed, I smiled and I cried whilst reading this story and was sad when it ended.

Stephannie's 5+ Star Review:

WOW, this is a 5+ star book. I was a blubbery mess reading this book. I felt all the emotions throughout this journey with these characters. There is redemption, forgiveness, family, love and hope. I cried so much my own children thought something horrible happened. Samantha Chase is an amazing author and she wrote an amazing story of a character who was hated and brought him around to be forgiven and loved by the end. I can't express how much I loved this one and was touched by this story. I read this one cover to cover in one sitting. Great story that touched my heart.

Wow! What a great book! There were so many emotions that just poured out of this book...and out of my face. I went through a whole rainbow of emotions from laughing to heart sighs to having my pulse pick up to having the tears just dripping off my face. If this is the last book in the series, Chase definitely kept the best for last.

My heart went out to both Savannah and to Jackson. Both were fairly damaged by their past. It was like magic that they found each other and that the thing that tied them together didn't then tear them apart for good. I love a good HEA, and Chase sure knows how to deliver!

Thanks to Valentine PR for the gifted copy. All thoughts are my own.

5 stars are not enough. This book had everything a reader could ask for. Beautifully written characters, an emotional journey through each and every turn of the page and a plot that is the epitome of coming home again while at the same time it revolves around redemption and forgiveness. I have not cried tears like this while reading a book in quite some time and this book will always be part of my heart. Samantha Chase - you took a very emotional storyline, gave it hope and happiness all intertwined between the very same pages where you brought a hated character back to a family who needed closure. Well done.

It’s amazing how art mimics life. This book had me on a roller coaster of emotions because it focuses around an absent father and how his son is dealing with it. Not to say this isn’t a romance. It very much is. Jackson is newly discharged from the service and is not sure where his life is going. On his first night out he meets a beautiful woman whom he shares a meal, some dancing and a game of darts. But not his phone number. Shockingly, that doesn’t stop fate from stepping in and making sure they meet again. This time she is associated with his father who has come home to make peace before he passes. There are so many emotions (and yes I’ve used that word already) running through Jackson’s head and heart that he goes on overload.
Savanah is supporting the one person who has been there for her through so much trauma and strife. She is lost in her life but this is one thing she can do for the person who has done so much for her. I admire Savanah in her strength and her resilience. She has gone through so much and continues to move, continues to breathe, continues to be.
I have to say that when I first read this book, my emotional state was very fragile. The death of a parent is never easy and the similarities between myself and Jackson are very close to home. I cried so hard reading this and I hope you can see the beauty in the way this was written. Bravo Samantha Chase, bravo.

Savannah is a smart women who ran into a man she really likes and just found a job she is perfect for.
Jackson is home from the Marines but is staying at a friends while he recovers and tries to figure out what he wants to do. When he happens to meet a beautiful women and they really click.
I loved reading Kiss The Girl, even though a lot of the storyline has a sad event, you can just feel the emotion throughout, it had me crying towards the end. I loved watching Savannah and Jackson navigate trying to be together through the obstacles they had. There were so many touching and heart warming moments, also moments of laughter. I adore that Cash was able to end up giving Savannah such an amazing gift. And if you have read any of the Magnolia Sounds Series at the end there is a recap of all of the characters I have come to love and feel apart of their family. Even if you haven’t read any prior you will have no problem following along. I highly recommend reading Kiss The Girl, but warn you to have your tissues ready.

I want to live in Magnolia Sound. The beautiful beach settings, the quaint small towns, and the amazing characters all make it the perfect place to be. As I read each of the books in this standalone series, I find myself forgetting myself and falling right into the story. The characters become my friends, I become invested in their happiness, and I want to be part of their day to day living.

This is the story of Cash and Jackson. Cash is a father that just could not stay put. He lived a nomad life; he was not a constant in his family’s lives. He has come back to Magnolia Sound to die and hopefully mend some fences with his family. Jackson was not in town the last time his dad came to town, so he has had a longer time to stew in his anger towards his father, Cash. Savannah has also come to town with Cash, as his primary caregiver she is like a daughter to him.

I really enjoyed this book. The storyline is not new, but it was fun to guess what would happen next and who it would affect. Savannah and Jack had so much to work through and Cash was right in the middle of it all. I like that Cash knew he was not going to just walk back into his son’s lives and everything was going to be fine, he knew he had to explain things, take their anger and hurt, and earn their love.

Samantha Chase is a must-read author. I will always read her books and recommend them.

What an emotional story that will not only have you swoon, but brings ugly tears to your eyes! Savannah will win your heart and you'll feel her pain deep inside, and Jackson, well you'll swoon for him while also feeling his loss deep inside your heart. 5 emotional stars for this one! (which honestly aren't enough)
Savannah is in town along with Cash, to say his final goodbyes if his sons will let him. Savannah wants him to connect with them asap, but he's been putting it off, and she ends up between a rock and a hard place as she meets the towns people one by one and they figure out who she is. When she goes out one night to celebrate her divorce, she meets Jack, and has the best time laughing and enjoying him, but he doesn't ask for her number. When he finds out who she is, he's immediately angry and takes it out on her.
Jackson is back in town, done with the Marine's after a torn ACL. He's hiding out from his family till he comes to terms with his injury and figures out what to do. By a chance meeting with Savannah, he comes face to face with the man who abandoned him and his brothers and mother. He's not sure how he feels about this. But his heart hurts for all that Savannah's been through.
Can these two move on from the one connection of Cash and enjoy what is happening between them?
This is the best story in this series! I cried for Cash and the boys, along with Savannah, so emotional but oh so good! Grab this one asap!

Magnolia Sound #11

Savannah James has had a rough life growing up. She lost her parents both biological and adopted and now the only person still in her life, she's about to lose him as well. Cash Coleman had been her dad's best friend and in Savannah's life for years and now he's asked her to escort him back to Magnolia Sound where he's from so he can say goodbye to his family. Cash is dying and hasn't been around his 3 sons to watch them grow up and knows it's not going to be easy.
Savannah goes to a pub to eat and meets Jackson, Cash's youngest son and they spend the evening eating, dancing and playing darts and having a great time. They both enjoyed each other's company and when they left neither shared their number. He finds out she knows his dad and assumes who she might be, he is angry and takes it out on her.
How will the family take the news? Will they come together and be there for him? What happens to Savannah, will she finally feel she has a family or at least someone she can count on or does she leave?

This story is so emotional but it's learning to forgive and to come together as a family to say goodbye. You will cry and laugh and cry some more.

What an amazing ending to this series! Cash Coleman returned home hoping to heal his past with his three sons, his ex-wife, and his family, before his death. Savannah James, a young woman he helped in the past with her illnesses and death of her father, accompanied Cash back home because he is all she has left. This is a heartwarming, tearful journey for both of them. Jackson Coleman had just returned from the Marines with a Medical Discharge but he wasn’t ready to reunite with his brothers and mother. A chance meeting in a bar, Savannah and Jackson have an amazing evening, eating, playing darts, and dancing. Neither knew their connection to Cash. They, both, have experiences from their past that hinder moving forward. Their intense attraction and emotional feelings, family connections, heartaches and loss, plus healing from their pasts, makes for a beautiful conclusion to the series. The update of previous characters was welcomed, too! Definitely, 5+Stars!
Fantastic writing, Samantha Chase!

Jackson is back home for good, only he is not ready to face his family as yet and is staying at his friends apartment. Tired of his own company, he decides to visit his friends family owned pub and sees Savannah there for the first time and is captivated.
The only reason Savannah is in town was because of Cash. Cash is the only family she has left, so coming to Magnolia Sound with him so that he can say goodbye to his family is a no brainer if it means she gets to spend whatever time he has left with him.
She meets Jackson while out celebrating her divorce getting final and the connection between them is instant. But things might change when they realize they share another connection, Cash.
Kiss the girl is a story about hope, family and forgiveness. It will make you cry, laugh and then cry some more. Savannah and Jackson share some exciting chemistry and are just beautiful together. I think this is one of the best books by the author and a wonderful conclusion to the series.

This is the 11th book in this phenomenal series, and Savannah and Jack’s story is the perfect conclusion. Savannah as endured a lot of heartbreak in her life, and now she is about to lose Cash. Cash is estranged from his sons, and Savannah encourages and escorts him to Magnolia Sound, so he can say goodbye to his family. Jackson is Cash’s youngest son, and he has just returned home from the marines with a career ending injury, and from the moment he meets Savannah, there is an intense attraction between them. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with family, loss, regrets, tension, conflict, healing, heartbreak, romance, self-discovery, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining and riveting page turner.

This was a fantastic conclusion to a wonderful series and we also got a glimpse of the Donovan family which was fun. Savannah has had a hard life, with so many people leaving her that she tends to run away. She has had poor health in the past as well. I liked how she brought Cash back to Magnolia Sound, even knowing it might not go well but to honor his wishes. Jackson has had a hard time leaving the military and readjusting to civilian life when he met Savannah. This is such a heartfelt and full of emotions story.

I did not realize this was book 11 of a series until i was nearly done. That being said, it was just fine as a stand-alone. Perfect amount of romance but not smutty and a little drama and substance. An enjoyable story and an easy listen. Will be reading some other books from the series.

I have been waiting for this one for a while! It was good! I got teary eyed a little bit! I just have one complaint! Was it just me or did anyone else notice the incosistances on how they were related to each other? One mintue they would use the word cousin but then next it would be aunt/uncle. It just makes it so confussing. Lol.

What a beautiful ending to an amazing series. Jackson and Savannah were the perfect couple to bring everyone together for a time of sorrow and celebration. As always Samantha has brought her characters to life so much that you can feel their love, sadness, regret, and hope.

I received this arc for an honest opinion.

I absolutely LOVED Kiss the Girl! Samantha Chase has done it again and has delivered another incredible love story with Kiss the Girl, the eleventh, and final book in her Magnolia Sound series, which filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions. I love the Magnolia Sound series and each book in the series keeps getting better and better. I think that Kiss the Girl is my favorite book in the series, who does not love a love at first sight love story? Kiss the Girl was the most bittersweet in the series, knowing that it is the last book, but Samantha Chase delivered a fitting final farewell tribute to all the characters in the Magnolia Sounds series who readers have to come to love like family. Samantha Chase has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love all the characters in Kiss the Girl, they feel like family! Who does not love hot sexy men, strong, passionate females, and big loving families, who always support one another? Samantha Chase continues to deliver all that and so much more. I love how Samantha Chase always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy men. Reading Kiss the Girl felt like catching up at a family reunion and seeing how the lives of the other characters in the series have changed and all the babies! I so enjoyed the book and am so sad that it is the final book in the series. Samantha Chase has once again shown that she is an amazing storyteller. Kiss the Girl did not disappoint, I could not put it down and loved every moment on every page. I enjoy how Samantha Chase writes from the perspective of the two main characters. That way you get to know what is going on in each of their minds. Kiss the Girl is a wonderful love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud and the bittersweet moments that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments eyes filling with tears. Kiss the Girl is filled with such moments, and with so much more. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a Samantha Chase love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Kiss the Girl is the story of Savannah James Brennan, massage therapist and Jackson Coleman, former Marine and great-grandson of Ezekiel Coleman, founder of Coleman Construction and one of the founding fathers of Magnolia Sound. Jackson heads to Laurel Bay and stays in the apartment of his friend, Liam Donovan following surgery on his ACL and his retirement from the Marines in order to avoid his family. Savannah left her home in Seattle so that she could drive cross-country with Cash Coleman, the father of Austin, Garrett, and Jackson, to bring him back to his hometown to say good-bye. Savannah heads to Donovan’s Pub to celebrate receiving her final divorce papers and reclaiming her maiden name. While sitting alone in a booth, Jackson comes over and introduces himself as “Jack” and they share a meal. They end their get-together with Jackson kissing her on the check, but no phone numbers were exchanged. Later they run into each other again at Alloro, Parker Bishop’s new spa, where Savannah is interviewing for a job. Their exchange ends with Jackson reacting out of anger toward Savannah. Jackson and Savannah begin spending time together and things quickly heat up between the two of them. I love the chemistry between Jackson and Savannah. As they spend more time together, Jackson shares secrets about his childhood and the career decisions that he made that he has not revealed to anyone before, since Cash had already revealed Savannah’s secrets to Jackson, they realize they may have something more than friendship. I love that both Jackson and Savannah were both so vulnerable and that each of them changed because of their love for one another. Then a surprise plot twist that I did not see coming changes everything that they had built with one another. Make sure you have a box of Kleenex nearby for the last third of the Kiss the Girl. The heart-to-heart conversations that Cash has with his family are truly heartbreaking, especially the ones he has with Jackson, Savannah, and his ex-wife, Grace. I love the conversations that Jackson has with his mother, Grace. I love how it is revealed why Cash suddenly left the last time he was in Magnolia Sound. I loved the ending of the story and the final farewell included insight into the lives of all the characters in the series. I loved the story and am so glad that Savannah and Jackson got their happily ever after. I love all the surprises and plot twists that Samantha Chase included in Kiss the Girl. My favorite part in the book is the epilogue and how it wraps up all the details of the happily ever after, and it did not disappoint! I love the changes that Jackson and Savannah make in their lives to have a life with one another. Kiss the Girl contains all the elements that I have love most in a Samantha Chase story, romance, great characters and setting, bittersweet moments and the plot twist that ties it all together. I enjoyed catching up with the other characters in the series. It felt like going to a family reunion. I enjoy all the interactions among the Coleman brothers and their cousins, it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. Kiss the Girl was an amazing story and a wonderful farewell to Magnolia Sound. Love the hints that she included for her new the Donovans series. I could not put it down. Highly recommend love at first sight love story.

This one is bittersweet because it's the end of one of my all-time favorite series. With small-town, southern charm and a big, messy family with a penchant for collecting strays, all of our favorite characters from Magnolia Sound are paired up and starting their own families. All except one, and Cash Coleman's dying wish is that he return to Magnolia Sound, make amends to those he hurt, and see his youngest son, Jackson, settled.

Jackson Coleman has ended his military career, or rather, a torn ACL has ended it for him. He's quietly come home, staying in a friend's apartment the next town over, waiting to work through a few things before letting his family know he's home. Except he suddenly gets thrown into a reunion with his estranged father, so that list of things to work through just grew exponentially. And it includes trying to figure out his feelings towards the young woman who accompanied his father across the country and back to Magnolia Sound.

Cash is the most important person in Savannah James' life. The only person, actually. She's lost more parental figures than most of us have ever had, and Cash is the last in a long line of people who have left her. Despite the fact Cash would give anything to stay, fate has other plans. Cash wants Savanah to know his family and experience their love and support, but Savannah has never really had a family and doesn’t know of what to do with the whole Coleman bunch.

Oh, my heart, y'all, if you’re a Magnolia fan, you'll be running to the 1-Click for this one ASAP. If you’re new to the series, yes, this book stands alone, but you might love it even more after reading a few of the other stories. Either way, grab the tissues and keep them handy. Chase poured her heart and soul into this one, giving us her best work to date and devastating my own heart in the process. It still has all the elements I’ve loved in the rest of the series – sweet, funny and heartfelt, with the Coleman family feeling like my own. But, hoo boy, this one goes so much deeper. It's poignant and profound, and if you’ve recently experienced a loss, you may want to hold off for a while. Seriously, I’m not one to cry at books, but I was teary and sniffly through pretty much the whole thing.

It's not just Cash’s gloomy prognosis. It's the way the family works through their hurt and anger, finding forgiveness and healing, finally giving Cash an exquisite redemption. It's Jackson trying to integrate back into civilian life and find his new place in the world. It's Savannah, with walls so high, learning about unconditional love and the acceptance and support of family, and finally finding a home. Charmingly sweet, deeply touching, and poignantly beautiful, this is a story that will stay in my heart forever. I have no doubt it will be one of your very best reads this year, so make sure you don’t miss it!

Kiss the Girl, by Samantha Chase, book eleven and final book in her Magnolia Sound series, is an emotional and heartwarming tale featuring Jackson Coleman and Savannah James; hooking me in from the first chapter. I will say that this was one emotional send off for a series. I would find tears running down my face, leaking from my eyes as I read this amazing story. I wasn’t sad, quite the opposite: understanding, relating to the situation, aware of the emotions. Definitely keep tissue nearby while reading this story; one comes from Ms. Chase’s own heart and soul, raising feelings and emotions along the way.

With small-town, southern charm and a big, messy family with a penchant for collecting strays, all of our favorite characters from Magnolia Sound are paired up and starting their own families; all except one, and Cash Coleman's dying wish is that he return to Magnolia Sound, make amends to those he hurt, and see his youngest son, Jackson, settled. Savannah James has lost every parental figure in her life; except for Cash Coleman, her father’s best friend. When it becomes evident that Cash is dying, he decides to return home, to Magnolia Sound, and make his peace with the family, especially his three sons, left behind. Cash is concerned about leaving Savannah and wants her to get to know his family, experience their love, and support; something she has never really had. Marrying too young and for the wrong reasons, Savannah decides to celebrate her divorce at a local pub, meeting Jack, and has the best time laughing and enjoying him, but he doesn't ask for her number. When he finds out who she is, he immediately becomes angry and takes it out on her. Jackson Coleman is back in town, done with the Marine's after a torn ACL, and hiding out from his family until he comes to terms with his injury and figures out what to do. A chance meeting with Savannah has him coming face to face with the man who abandoned him, his brothers and mother. He's not sure how he feels about this. But his heart hurts for all that Savannah's been through. Savannah and Jackson have experiences from their past that keep them from moving forward. Their intense attraction and emotional feelings, family connections, heartaches and loss, plus healing from their pasts, makes for a beautiful conclusion to the series. It is going to take a lot of family interference, soul searching, and trust before Jackson and Savannah can overcome their hurt, before love can prevail.

Samantha Chase took a very emotional story, gave it hope and happiness between the very same pages where a well-disliked character is brought back, returning to a family who needed closure. I highly recommend Kiss the Girl to other readers.

Samantha Chase’s Kiss the Girl is an unforgettable, emotional journey with all the feels. It’s filled with appealing characters, down to earth family drama and heartfelt romance. The relationship triangle between Cash Coleman, Savannah James and Jackson Coleman drew me into the story.
Cash Coleman’s return to Magnolia Sound drives the storyline and sets off a series of events that impacts the entire Coleman clan. Samantha Chase’s voice is perfect for this type of novel as she writes from the heart. Loved the conversations between Cash’s sons and family members. The dialogue is honest, direct and no one holds back as they ask themselves why has Cash reappeared? Why now?
Jackson and Savannah meet at Donovan’s Pub—neither is aware of each other’s relationship with Cash. Loved that Jackson was at a total loss for words when he first approached Savannah at Donovan’s. The attraction between the couple unnerved Jackson so much that he forgot to get her phone number.
The characters is Kiss the Girl are complex, compelling, and they face real life challenges. Savannah has overcome illness, loss and betrayal; her story tugged at my heart. Her journey made her a strong person but, she can’t get over the fear of being left behind. Jackson grew up without his father and although he has a large, supportive family he suffers from trust and abandonments issues. I felt for Jackson and his brothers Austin and Garret. Even though they were part of the large Coleman clan, they were not afforded the same opportunities as their cousins.
I was moved to tears throughout the novel as Savannah’s relationship with Jackson strengthens as Cash’s condition worsens. Samantha Chase did not redeem Cash instead, she chose to provide insight into a troubled man’s life and his choices. Cash didn’t ask for forgiveness. He wanted understanding and a chance to reconnect with his family. The conversations that Cash had with Savannah, his sons and Grace were poignant and gave me goosebumps. Cash and his family were given a rare gift. They were able to say good bye, clear the air and share memories of happy times with Cash. These pages were poignant and written with so much heart and understanding.

Samantha Chase’s Kiss the Girl focuses on Savannah and the Coleman family’s journey. The compelling story emphasizes Savannah’s ability to overcome the many obstacles in her life and enables her to trust herself to love again. Jackson learns to trust, to forgive and to move forward. Loved the subtle character nuances, the relationships between the Coleman brothers and the strength of Grace Coleman who held her family together through good and bad times. The powerful story with its dynamic characters, passionate romance and family drama is a must read for 2022!

4.5 stars-- KISS THE GIRL is the eleventh instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult MAGNOLIA SOUND romance series. This is massage therapist Savannah James, and former US Marine Jackson Coleman’s story line. KISS THE GIRL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as it pertains to Jackson’s father Cash.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Jackson and Savannah) KISS THE GIRL follows in the wake of Cash Coleman’s return home to say good bye. Cash Coleman left his wife Grace and their three young sons years ago but has returned to his home town of Magnolia Sound in an effort to make amends and say good bye in the face of his cancer diagnosis but Cash’s three sons Austin, Garrett and Jackson have battled with their father’s disappearance, a disappearance that left the family struggling to make ends meet. With Cash’s return comes massage therapist Savannah James, a young woman who is closer to Cash than most of his family, a closeness that Cash’s son Jackson struggles to accept. As Cash’s only friend, Savannah is hoping to allow Cash the time to say good bye but falling for Jackson Coleman was never in the cards. What ensues is the building relationship between Jackson and Savannah, and the potential fall-out as Savannah struggles with issues of trust, and battles between head and heart knowing her time in Magnolia Sound is coming to a close.

The relationship between Jackson and Savannah begins innocently with neither one knowing the other’s connection to Jackson’s father Cash. Jackson feels betrayed not only by his father but by the woman with whom he is falling in love, a young woman who has lost everyone she has ever loved. As Jackson and Savannah’s relationship begins to grow, with a little help from Cash, Savannah must come to terms with not only rejection but with the grief of losing a man she so dearly loved. The $ex scenes fade to black or are mostly implied.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters, most of whom we have met in the previous story lines. No one is immune to the return of Cash Coleman, the emotional fall out is heart breaking.

KISS THE GIRL is a story of family, relationships, friendships and love; of mistrust and misunderstanding, jealousy and acceptance, love and loss, grief and death. The premise is emotional and heart breaking; the characters are real and charismatic; the romance is subtle and passionate.

When his military service comes to an end due to a knee injury, Jackson Coleman must figure out a new plan for his life. Not quite ready to face his family, he decides to spend a few weeks hiding out in nearby Laurel Bay before returning to his hometown of Magnolia Sound. He's out for dinner one night when a beautiful woman catches his eye from across the room and he decides to approach her. Massage therapist Savannah James is new in town and out to dinner celebrating her recent divorce. She invites Jackson to join her and they spend a fun evening together dancing and playing darts, but don't exchange phone numbers. A few days later, Jackson and Savannah are shocked to see each other again and learn that they share a connection through Jackson's estranged father Cash, who's dying of liver cancer and recently returned to try and make amends with his family before he passes. After losing both her biological and adoptive parents, Cash is the closest thing to family Savannah has left. As they get to know each other better, Jackson and Savannah can't help being drawn to each other, but the relationship is fraught with complications and awkwardness because of his father. Can they overcome their past hurts and fears to build a brighter future together?

While it felt a bit like an emotional roller coaster at times, "Kiss the Girl" was overall a heartwarming and hopeful story that featured likeable, three-dimensional characters and an engaging plot. I couldn't help but empathize with Savannah and everything she'd been through before moving to North Carolina. Despite everything, she remained a remarkably sane, functional, and positive person, though she did have to battle through the fears that remained in order to build a relationship with Jackson. He had his own set of issues to work through, but I loved the two of them together and found it very easy to cheer them on to their HEA.

I very much enjoyed "Kiss the Girl" and highly recommend it for all contemporary romance fans. It was a great way to bring the Magnolia Sound series to a close, and after meeting a couple of the Donovan brothers in this book, I'm really looking forward to Chase's upcoming spinoff series, coming this fall.

Savannah came to Magnolia Sound area with Cash because he wanted to try to make amends with his sons. Savannah couldn't let Cash travel across the country alone so she went with him. It wasn't like she was leaving anything behind in Seattle anyway. She is the type of person that finds joy in the little things after so much loss, so when she meets Jackson over potato skins she isn't sure what to think. Especially once she finds out who he is.

Jackson is home from the military have tearing his ACL. He doesn't want his family to know he is home until he is ready. When he meets Savannah and discovers who she is, everything changes. He is willing to take a chance on her because he feels a strong pull and can't stay away from her, no matter that she is closer to his father than he is. All of Cash's family pulls together and not only helps Cash though a horrible time, but also pulls Savannah in and makes her a part of their family.

This was a box of tissues book. This book has so many ups and downs one minute you are smiling and laughing with the characters the next you are in tears because a character is tearing out your heart. Despite all the tears I could not put the book down, you can't help but to fall in love with these characters and want them to be happy. The chemistry between Jackson and Savannah is undeniable as well. I loved how his brothers pulled her in and made her feel like she belonged with them as well. They have so many issues with Cash and at first they were all hurt that he would choose Savannah over them, but once they found that she had no one they understood. This book touches the heart and leaves you with booklash but it is so worth the read.

Wow! This book has all the feels. I can honestly say this is the first romance book that has ever made me ugly cry. This story was so sad yet beautiful at the same time. It showed the true power of family, forgiveness and overcoming trials. Samantha Chase did an amazing job of showing us the importance of being able to find that person who you love and who will always love you back unconditionally.

Knowing he doesn’t have much time left before he loses his battle with cancer, Cash Coleman comes back home to make amends with his Ex-Wife and children. Savannah James may be the one person who truly knows Cash. Knowing this will be difficult for him she agrees to move with him to help him with this final wish.

Jackson Coleman is home from the Marine’s recovering from a knee injury but doesn’t tell his family he is home yet. During this time he meets Savannah but doesn’t know who she is. When Jackson finds out who she is and that his dad is back again everything changes. He can’t get over someone being kind to his father who hurt his entire family as well as wonder why his dad could give his love to someone else.

Savannah and Jackson are both lost in their own ways. Savannah needs to help Jackson and his family see the good parts of Cash so they can forgive him before he dies. Savannah has literally lost or been let down by anyone she has ever loved. Jackson and his family are there to help her learn to trust again and to accept being loved. I loved both Savannah and Jackson and how they both helped each other heal.

This book literally took me on an emotional journey and I loved every second of it. This was my first book by Samantha Chase and I loved it! I can’t wait to go back and read the previous books in this series.

My first Samantha Chase book & I'm in love! 😍 When I read, no matter how much I enjoy the story & connect with the characters, there's a part of me that is cognizant of it being fictional. THIS book...OMG! I don't know how but it's written in a way that I felt like it was the story of VERY REAL people who're out there. Oh my heart, I'm so touched.

It's a charmingly sweet, heart-warmingly beautiful, funny & soul touching story of loss, pain, grief, redemption, forgiveness, love & family loyalty. I fell in LOVE with each & every character in the book. This is the final book in the series & everyone's story has been feautured in the previous books, which I'm going to devour! The family bonds portrayed, the small town vibes, gosh! I could feel the love & hear the laughter through the pages. I smiled with them, I cried with them & got angry with them. It felt like I was right THERE with them & I don't know if it's going to be the same way for everyone who reads the book but for me it was pure magic.

Savannah & Jackson deserve the world & every single happiness out there. The amount of loss & grief that Savannah has gone through is unimaginable & yet the way she holds herself, strong, determined & never giving up is absolutely comendable. Jackson is the kind of man every woman deserves & that is all I will say ❤

It's a must read if you like small town romance, strong family bonds & loyalty, and simply if you want to be wrapped in a warm cacoon of love.

Thank you Valentine PR, Chasing Romance Inc & the author for the ARC to this beautiful book, in exchange for my honest review, that now holds a very special place in my heart.

An incredible story of unconditional love. A story of forgiveness, family, understanding, and every kind of love. Get your tissues ready. Cash has returned yet again but this tine to say good-bye for good. Trying to right the wrongs of his past. Does he expect forgiveness, no. But hat he receives is beyond any expectations and more than he feels he deserves. But that is what family is all about.
Savannah accompanies him on his journey back. Cash is the last person she has in her life and after he passes she will have no one. But maybe this is why Cash agreed to have her come back with him. He can finally give her what she had taken away from her her whole life, a family. Cash always felt in his heart his son Jackson would be perfect for her. Call it fate, call it destiny, call it the stars aligning, but Jackson and Savannah meet when she first comes to town. However, neither one knows who the other is but their first encounter ha had an effect on both of them. Jackson felt something for her but because he was dealings with his own things, he neglected to get her phone number. Ok, fate steps in and eventually they meet again. Not the best reunion but now the stars can align, and destiny can happen. Is it easy for these two, no. But nothing is ever easy for real love. You must work for it and embrace it.
Savannah finally has the family she longed for and the forever love and happily ever after she deserves.
A story that is beyond emotional. You will cry tears of sadness and tears of happiness. Family plays such an important role here. A story that you don’t want to end and cannot put down. Bring your tissues. You are going to need them.

This is a beautiful, heartwarming story about love, loss, pain and bitterness.

The Coleman Family has spent their lives hating their father, Cash. He left them when they were young and rarely saw them throughout the years. The sons feel anger and hatred toward him, but no love. When he finally returns home, he is dying and wants to make peace with his family. He knows they will never forgive him, but he would like to make good memories to offset the bad ones.

When he returns, he brings a young woman with him. Savannah’s father had been a good friend to Cash. He had died, and Savannah had no one else. She has lived through a miserable life. She has been sick for years, and everyone she was close to had died. Cash is the only person who has always been there for her. Unfortunately, this does not endear her to his family. They resent that he was there for her and not him. This places her directly in the middle of this family’s anger.

Ironically, Savannah and Jackson accidentally meet, and they are magically drawn to each other. They have no idea that they both know Jackson’s father. When they finally discover who they are, Jackson explodes, and Savannah threatens to leave town.

Samantha Chase skillfully steers all of these characters through hatred, bitterness and many other awful feelings in such a way that the readers understand and, even empathize, with their troubled thoughts.

Even Cash, who is despised by his entire family, by the end of the story, is able to redeem himself before he dies. His actions toward Savannah demonstrate his decency and generosity.

What an awesome way to end my favorite series!
