He says they can both love me. Protect me. Be the men I need. Can I possibly believe them?

Every one of my relationships—from hookups to business partners—begins and ends with an NDA. Hell, I’ve never even been on a real date. That’s what happens when your famous, secretly gay parents go to extremes to protect their kids from the media’s unrelenting spotlight.

In a life where I try on and cast off pet projects like I change my socks, two people generate the kind of chemistry that holds my interest. Believe me, that’s saying something.

There’s my brother’s business partner, Tristan Cooperson. Mr. Hot Suit. Professional overthinker. Doesn’t just avoid mixing business with pleasure. He doesn’t mix pleasure with…anything.

Then there’s the beautiful bartender Thea Dennis. Skittish as the butterfly gracing the logo of one of her many side gigs. Hiding her past like a wounded dragon guarding its hoard.

Can you picture it? Tristan, Thea, and me. The perfect love. Untouchable by all the bad things of the world. Or capable of dragging us through the nine circles of hell.

My first step into the Decker family didn’t really go too well for me, but since then, they have stolen a piece of my heart and continue to do so as I make my way through their stories. This time it’s Matthew Decker along with Tristan & Thea. Let me just say this one thing … the emotional rollercoaster that is this polyamorous romance journey is incomparable to any other I have read in a loooooong time! I don’t even know if that phrase even does it justice, because seriously, my emotional stability was questionable throughout the entire story. #TrueStory

Since this is a duet, I expected the story to be uphill and possibly a bit rocky. Well, it definitely was that, but it was also like a cha-cha-cha dance, one step forward two steps back, rinse, repeat. I honestly couldn’t have told you if these three were going to make it after finishing Who We Are but I knew that I wanted them to, to the depths of my soul. MY GOD, these three! One thing is for sure, they had enough chemistry that they were fire, and even when they took those steps back that chemistry was always there! Beautiful.

The cliffhanger in this one was a truly epic gasp but not only did I already have the second audiobook ready, but I believe they released simultaneous both in ebook and audio formats when they first published so no one should be huffing about wait times and whatnot LOL

As if the story wasn’t already ridiculously good, Claudia cast Jason Clarke, Erin Mallon, and Teddy Hamilton as the narrators and I’m here to tell you that I don’t even have to read the story to tell you with 100% certainty that if you get the chance to listen to this duet, that’s the road you should take. #TRUST Spectacular job!!!

The name says it all, because during the first half of the duet we get to know who Matthew Decker, Tristan Cooperson and Thea Dennis are. We know a lot about Matthew from the other books in the Decker family series, but Thea and Tristan are new.

Matthew has never been shy about his preferences, so it makes sense that when he falls in love, he goes the complicated route and falls for both Tristan and Thea. He has the luxury of a family who loves and supports him, giving him the confidence to put his many talents to good use and think he can have anything he wants in life.

Thea has a past she's worked hard to put behind her, and she's a confident, driven woman. Having three jobs keeps her busy, and staying busy keeps her from thinking about all she's worked to escape. Yet she still keeps glancing over her shoulder, expecting the past to catch up with her.

Tristan is complicated. On the surface, he's a stoic, successful businessman, but inside is the boy his parents never approved of. The boy his parents expected to behave a certain way and then punished when he couldn’t become what they wanted.

Hold onto your hat, my reader friend, because you’re in for quite a ride. The romance begins with Matthew and Tristan, then grows to include Thea in the later part of this first half. And with two broken people and one who doesn’t seem to take life too seriously, the road is going to be very bumpy!

4.5 Uncut Stars

In 2016 I stumbled upon a book called UNCUT by Claudia Burgoa on Netgalley and I decided to give it a try because the synopsis really intrigued me, and I am so glad that I did because my love for that book has turned into a love for this author's work. Now here we are years later and Claudia has gone back and rewrite the story, she didn't change it she just gave it more of the background and character development she felt it needed to enrich the story which made it a duet. I loved it then and I love it even more now.

Matthew, Tristan & Theas story was perfect. Each complimented each other in the best way but only Matthews family is really okay with his choices and understands he is who he is and there nothing wrong with that, they just want him to be happy but unfortunately Tristan and Theas family weren’t the same, so happy this duet came out together

ARC kindly provided fo the author in exchange for an honest review

This has been the most different book I've read by Claudia Y. Burgoa so far, and although at first I was a little confused about Matt & Tristan's story and the way that Thea would fit into their plot, I have to say that I really liked the way the author handled everything between them, especially that Who We Are focuses on that : showing us who their main characters are and intertwining it perfectly with the feelings they develop for each other

I think what I liked the most was that Matthew, Tristan & Thea are so different, but at the same time Thea & Tristan are so similar: Matt is the most simple of the three, who speaks his mind and is always willing to fight for what he wants, to protect his family and to give Thea & Tristan their space when they need it, and that was exactly what I loved the most From his character, he is a man with a big heart who has also been beaten by life, but who has ALWAYS had the support of his family. Unlike Tistan & Thea, whose main source of trauma and problems are their respective parents, the two of them are the ones who add the most complexity to the story and the most broken of the three of them, and knowing the stories of both of them was painful, but it helped me understand the reason for their barriers with Matt, and with each other, I really liked reading them trusting him, opening up little by little and trying to overcome their respective obstacles.

Who We Are is the start to this duet which surrounds Matthew, Tristan, and Thea (yes it's MMF). Matthew has no problem standing up for what (or who) he wants since he doesn't feel like he should color inside the lines when it comes to relationships. Tristan is a damaged man who knows he wants Matthew, but is still having a hard time coming to grips with his feelings due to his upbringing & expectations. The first part of this story is about these two men, but then it develops into Thea coming into their lives which adds more complications for Tristan. Thea has her own set of demons, but is doing her best to not let her past keep her down but it's not perfect that's for sure because of her upbringing. I loved every last one of these three, and while I'm not usually down for a triad (not that there's anything wrong with it, I just don't like to share my toys), lawd knows I was rooting for all of them to be together. The emotional component to this journey was intense, and it's not even over but luckily the conclusion is already here which I very much appreciated! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Who We Are is an angsty, heart breaking tale that will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. This is Matthew, Tristan and Thea’s story and their journey had a blend of both sad and beautiful moments. These flawed characters each had their own struggles to deal with. They were all different but were so perfect together and I will admit Matthew had me swooning with how he interacted with both Tristan and Thea. Their story ends in a cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next book. This was a great read and I would recommend it to lovers of why choose romance.

This story started out a bit different. We get more or less the backend of the story in how the main characters came to be but there’s a mystery especially in the heroine. It’s a slow burn but it’s very good because you see relationships being formed and built but there’s so much emotion. As the story progresses it’s beautiful but then the heroine past seem to be coming back to haunt her and a secret is revealed that isn’t known to the hero yet and it’s extremely shocking. Can’t wait for the conclusion and how all of this complication will be wrapped up.

I’m just going to get right to it, Who We Are (Perfectly Everlasting Duet #1) is incredibly angsty, emotional and heart shattering. But no one should be surprised considering this is what Claudia Burgoa does BEST. She definitely saved the best for last regarding the Decker triplets as she truly knocked it out of the park with this book. I’m a huge fan of MFM and MMF tropes and Ms. Burgoa is one of the few authors who does it right.

Matthew Decker is the last of the Decker triplets to fall in love and he fell hard for Tristan Cooperson and Thea Dennis. The feelings are definitely mutual on Tristan and Thea’s end as they all fell so hard for each other. Fortunately for Matthew, his family is tolerant and accepting of his bisexuality. And this is just one of the many reasons why I love the Decker family so much. Unfortunately for Tristan and Thea, they have extremely traumatic and tragic pasts that bring a lot of emotional issues to the table. Tristan is bisexual but he remains in the closet given his strict and close minded upbringing. He comes from a very wealthy family who expects him to marry a high society and sophisticated woman from a well to do family. His family has never made it easy for him and they truly are despicable. And Thea, oh my precious Thea. She’s definitely one of my favorite heroines and while she’s been through so much in her young life, she exudes strength and she’s an admirable young woman who’s overcome a lot of obstacles in her life. While the three of them come from different backgrounds, they blend together perfectly, they are each others’ destiny and they are without a doubt meant to be with each other. Their bond and relationship is natural and their story is all consuming.

Ms. Burgoa does an excellent job of keeping you engaged as Matthew, Tristan and Thea’s journey isn’t easy. They put me through the wringer and my emotions were all over the place. Who We Are is a heartfelt romance that will most definitely tug at your heartstrings and it’s also coupled with beautiful moments. My heart hurt after the cliffhanger which will without a doubt leave you on edge and have you highly anticipating Who We Love.

Matthew did not have a conventional childhood, so it isn’t surprising that the path he chose wasn’t conventional as well. He wants a life with Tristan however when Thea comes into his life he realizes that she completes the life he wants.

Tristan comes from an affluent family but with that comes expectations and it doesn’t include being in a relationship with another man let alone a man and a woman, so he is struggling between the future that others have planned for him and what his heart wants.

Thea has a overcome a difficult past and has fought for the life she has created but a part of her fears that her past could catch up with her and destroy everything.

The characters of Matthew, Tristan and Thea are very different, but they fit together in a way that is unexpected. They take us on an emotional journey that leads up to a cliffhanger that leaves us wanting more of them and their story. The angst and emotion is easily felt through the narrators as well as the personalities of all three characters.

I’ve read so many of Claudia Burgoa’s books and with each story she manages to craft an amazingly unique story that captivates me every single time. Burgoa leaves us with a cliffhanger in this story of a couple of three. Each of the characters is dealing with their own things and their struggles are unique to their characters in the first part of this duet. This was a wild ride and I can’t wait to see where the story will go in the second part of this duet.

Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon were phenomenal in their narration of this book. They conveyed the characters emotions so beautifully and made listening to this book so much better!

Matt finally grows up when he finds Thea and Tristan. He wants what his siblings have, someone to love in marriage. Unfortunately things are messy and complicated. Both Thea and Tristan have severe baggage they are hiding from and behind. Is a future together possible for all three? This book ends in a cliffhanger.

OMG! Erin Mallon, Teddy Hamilton and Jason Clarke as Theia, Matt and Tristan make my heart stop. They are so good together melding their emotions, talents and soothing voices in a harmonious marriage of narration. They made this book brought to life.

I absolutely loved Who We Are by Claudia Burgoa; the first book in her Perfect Everlasting Duet, it is an incredible love story. Claudia Burgoa continues to provide readers with incredible love stories filled with amazing characters. She continues to prove that she is an amazing storyteller. I love all the characters in Who We Are, they feel like family! Who We Are filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions, it was impossible to put it down, and I loved every moment on every page. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Who We Are is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. It is filled with all those things that I have come to love and expect in Claudia Burgoa love story, and she did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Who We Are is a love story between Agatha “Thea” Dennis, bartender at the Silver Moon bar, as well as a jewelry maker and counselor, Matthew Decker, a band member of Without a Compass, CEO of Transcending Productions, and an author writing as J.M. Hurst, and Tristan Cooperson, owner of several upscale bars and partner with Jacob to open Thrice nightclub. With Jacob on his honeymoon, Matthew, and Tristan work together on the details of Thrice. They decide to begin a romantic relationship, but it is hindered by Tristan’s desire to remain in the closet with their relationship and his excessive drinking. After an eight-week affair they decide that they are better off as friends. Tristan’s family was not accepting of his sexual orientations, and he was abused, punished, and sent to camp as a teen to try to change him. Matt and Tristan are both interested in Thea, the bartender at a bar that they both frequent. Silver Moon holds special memories for Matt’s Dad, Chris. Matt approaches Tristan about going into a partnership to purchase Silver Moon. I love Matthew’s nickname for Thea and its significance. I love how Matthew, Tristan, and Thea shares things with one another that they have never shared with anyone before, except Thea does not disclose her real identity, Agatha Levitz former child star and the daughter of Martin Levitz, the drummer in Chris Decker’s band, Dreadful Souls. Thea’s flashback scenes are heartbreaking, but I love how she writes her days sober inside of her wrist daily. I love all the things that Matthew, Tristan, and the Deckers do for Thea to let her know that they will always there for her. Tristan begins therapy, because of Thea’s recommendation. Matt is interested in having a relationship with both Tristan and Thea, since he is love with them both. Tristan believes that Matthew does not like relationships, and he has his own issues. An unanticipated plot twist occurs that causes Thea run away. My favorite part is the cliffhanger ending. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Who We Are, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between Decker siblings especially their teasing that made me laugh. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Who We Are, even though I have never read a male-male-female trio love story before I am not used to reading love stories that do not have a happily ever after, but I am looking forward to reading Who We Love, to read the conclusion of Thea, Matthew, and Tristan’s love story. Highly recommend this incredible love story.

I am loving the Deckers and reading Matthew's story. In the previous books about his siblings (he is one of the triplets), Matthew was somewhat portrayed as a easy going playboy. We finally get to learn more about Matthew and what he is really liked. Matthew is a very successful business man, a talented musician and some other hidden talents that we get to learn about throughout this duet. Matthew feels an instant connection to Tristian Cooperson, his brother Jacob's business partner. However, Tristian doesn't want to get involved but finally gives in to his attraction to Matthew. We learn about Tristian past throughout the story and how his family has screwed up his life with guilt. Tristian isn't open about his sexuality while Matthew is an open book compared to Tristian. Their relationship/hookup doesn't last since Matthew refuses to hide himself for the relationship.

Both Tristian and Matthew meets Aggie Dennis at the Blue Moon bar separately. Matthew has known Aggie longer and has a friendly relationship with her since he comes to the bar to scout for musical talent all the time. Matthew constantly flirts with Aggie but he does have some hidden feelings for her. Tristian met Aggie at the bar when he wanders around the area looking to get wasted. Aggie sees that Tristian is sad so she gives him a special rock and note telling him he is not alone. It isn't until Matthew decides to buy the bar and he wants Tristian to be his partner that the 3 of them finally gets together. Both are attracted to Aggie and Aggie is attracted to the guys for different reasons.

Once Matthew proposes an unconventional relationship with Tristian and Aggie is when we finally get to delve deeper into each of their lives and find out more about their pasts. The story continues in the second book and it's such a wonderful story!

Where are my angst lovers? Claudia Burgoa delivered heartbreak and gritty emotions so beautifully in Who We Are, a why choose romance. Matthew, Tristan and Thea all have their flaws, darkness and broken Sides but their resilience and love shines brightly through everything.

This is book one of a duet and ends in a cliffhanger.Successful businessman Tristan Cooperson has been shunned by his conservative family and been hurt a lot in name of treating his bisexuality. So he hides that part but ex Rockstar drummer aka his new business Associate Matthew Decker makes him go crazy. And then there is Thea..The beautiful sassy bartender at Silver Moon who has captured both of their hearts. They want to love her but she has a very sad and destructive past that has left its scars...

Each character in this story has their own struggles. Tristan still struggles to be free with his sexual identity because those years of horrible experience broke him somehow. He has made a name for himself away from his wealthy family but the ghosts keep on holding him back. Thea has been reborn after the horrors of her past almost destroyed her completely but she is still getting her pieces together. She still has a fragile heart and it can be shattered anytime. Matthew is probably the most whole of the three. He comes from a celebrity family, with his own fame but his strength is his family's love and support. While Tristan lost pieces of himself permanently, Matthew's family accepted his bisexuality wholeheartedly. Tristan's hesitation and fears hurt him but with Thea, he realized he cannot live without either of them. He is like the glue of the triangle but he is incomplete without Tristan and Thea. Now they have a lot of healing to do..face their demons and stay strong through the emotional storm. I cannot wait to start the second book.

This is book one in a duet, the story develops at an even, slightly slow pace. The pace gives time to get to know Matt and Tristan. There’s incredible chemistry between them and a lot of emotional and sexual tension.
Matt comes from a very open, warm and accepting family.
They’re a family full of musician’s with fame. His two Dad’s kept their relationship and children a secret for a long time to protect them. That, in my opinion, impacted Matt in a big way. He’s determined to live his life without fear or secrets. He’s openly bisexual and that’s a major point of contention between Tristan and him.
Tristan’s parents are very wealthy, religious socialites. They’ve treated Tristan’s bisexuality in horrendous ways that slowly come to light.
Unfortunately, Tristan isn’t prepared to be with a man without guilt, shame and fear. That’s a big problem for Matt.
Thea has a very tragic, slightly mysterious past. She’s intriguing and both men find themselves drawn to her separately.
She becomes a bigger part of the story towards the end of this book.
It ends on a big emotional and scary cliffhanger. But, don’t worry! The duet released together so you can jump right into book two!
It’s a sexy, sensual story that deals with very serious topics. I love that it brings some very tragic, real things into the light.
I like the unconventional relationship of three people that is blossoming.
It’s very emotional, it’s told in first person with the three POV’s of the main characters. Something about the authors style makes it seem like third person POV to me. I can’t put my finger on it. It makes the highly emotional, tragic stories hit less hard and dark for me.
I like all the characters, I like the premise and I’m excited to see where the next book goes. I love the idea of a throuple, and I hope these characters find self acceptance, peace and happiness.

This is a brand-new author for us and this duet turned out to be fantastic. These stories were messy and emotional and heartbreaking. The characters were great and unforgettable as the story goes straight to the heart of the reader.

My favorite character was Matthew, just loved him, so patient and kind and a loving individual, and loved the fact he was opened and honest about his own sexuality.

Tristan was a character that broke our heart broke for, his family was a nightmare, where Matt's was supportive and loving. We felt bad for the demons he dealt with, both emotional and physically.

Loved Tristan and Matt as a couple but, their relationship was messy and complicated, and we are rooting from them but, there are so many obstacles in their way but, it was clear they were meant to be together.

These stories had so many ups and downs but, book one was laying the foundation for both Tristan and Matt and Thea. We got to know Matt's family, and we absolutely loved them they were so supportive kind and loving and the Grandma of Matt's was a riot. We dove into both Thea and Tristan pasts and learned the secrets and pain.

Both stories were filled with heat, passion and love. Their chemistry off the charts, especially between Tristan and Matt.

Thea's story was heart-wrenching, her life was not an easy one but, the love of a good man or men will hopefully give her the life she always dreamed about.

Matt thought that Thea is the glue that held them together but, I never felt that way she made things easier for Matt and Tristan to work out their issues but, I felt that Matt was giving his all just really buying time until Tristan and Thea both worked though their issues especially Tristan because without him, he felt his was missing a piece of his heart.

This is the first book in the Perfectly Everlasting Duet and it is a must read. All of these duets featuring the Colthurst-Decker siblings are so well written they engross you in their narrative and refuse to let go, and Matthew's story is no exception.

This is the story of Matthew Decker, Thea Dennis and Tristan Cooperson. Matthew has never shied away from his orientation and is lucky enough to come from a family that embrace him and support him whatever path he takes. Thea Dennis has spent many years escaping her past, her abusive father, her ineffective mother and a secret she hopes will never see the light of day. Tristan Cooperson comes from a uber conservative family, that refuse to acknowledge that he is bisexual and constantly urge him to come back to the family and 'settle down' with a woman, one he has no desire to date let alone marry.

The delicate dance that plays out and puts all the characters into the path of one another, is incredibly well written and how they come together makes your heart sing. With Matthew being a celebrity, keeping this triad a secret is something that Tristan insists upon as he is not ready for his private life to be out there in the public domain. But when the pressure of her past threatens to ruin her chance at love and the life she so desperately craves, Thea feels her life is crumbling and she may lose it all. Book one finishes on a cliffhanger.

I was giddy with excitement to start this read. Matt had become one of my favourites after getting to know him through his siblings. He is kind, optimistic, sweet, compassionate and always looks for good in others. I was eager to know how he would go and fall in love with two completely opposite people.

Tristan has a heart of gold but is unable to express and be himself because of his childhood. My heart broke for young Tristan after knowing what he went through in the hands of his parents. He would never have expected for Matt to be half of his soul but had an instant connection from the time they met.

Their bond was unique and as they got along I was curious to know how Thea would fit inbetween them. But as Claudia said she is the glue that bond them together. I loved how each of them form their own bond with each other. What she had been through made my heart ache and I wanted Matt, Tristan to protect her from everything bad in the world.

I liked how they got to know each other individually and also all the time they spent together, how they stood by each other. I might be a bit biased towards Matt but I loved him even more as he didn't want to give up on either of them. He was as uncertain about the future as Tristan and Thea but he was ready to fight for them.

The way things end at the end of the book left me heartbroken and eager to know what happens next.

Thanks to Claudia and Wildfire Marketing for the advanced copy.

This is book one in The Perfect Everlasting Duet and it is Matthew, Tristan and Thea's story and omg it is definitely a must read. When Matthew falls for Tristan and Thea his family is supported him unconditionally because all they wanted was for him to be happy but Tristan comes from a very wealthy family and they have views and makes him feel bad about how he is in his sexuality and expect him to do as they say and fall in line with what they tell him to do regardless of how it makes him feel and then we have Thea who has had such a difficult life and still looks over her shoulder yet she stays strong and moves forward with her life even though it is still hard at times and with the love that all three have for each other it should be plain sailing but it is any thing but that and they will have to go through so much more. Matthew, Tristan and Thea are from totally different backgrounds and walks of life and get they are so perfect together and there love for each other shines through but along with great chemistry there will be ups and downs, trust issue's, struggles and emotional situations that will have you in tears with all that they will have to go through and the heartbreak and journey that will follow. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride that you can't get off and will have you on the edge of your seat while holding your breath and turning the pages wondering what would happen next and is so addictive and then you have a cliff hanger ending that have you needing to read the next book now to see what the outcome will be for them all.

Having read Ms.Burgoa's work many times before i always look so forward to more from her! When i find out that we'd be getting more of the Decker Family i was so happy. This duet piqued my interest ever since i saw the post for it on social media. I picked it up and got right into the Perfectly Everlasting world! I so enjoyed this first installment!

This first installment in Matthew, Tristan and Thea's journey had my heart and i's full attention quickly! When Tristan and Thea came into Matt's life he can't shake how he feels for them. Can these three take a chance together?

The realness that poured from Matt, Tristan, and Thea truly got to me. The humanness of these characters and the strength that shined through all three of them pulled me into their story even more so. I didn't know how everything would play out for them in this book which i enjoyed. I loved that i went through such a range of emotions throughout with Matt, Tristan, and Thea.

I was so glad to be back with the Decker Family!

With Who We Are, Ms.Burgoa has created such a good read that hit me right in the chest and stayed on my mind! I am definitely diving into book two, Who We Love next!

OMG, I loved how the original story, Uncut, from the Unexpected series, was rewritten and expanded into an even more beautiful epic love story! It masterfully tells the tale of how three people navigate their differences, fears and struggles, bridging them together in hope and love. Matthew is such a wonderful character, who is funny, impulsive, loyal and protective. Tristan is attracted to both men and women, like Matthew is, but his parents, and others, have convinced him it is so shameful, that he hides who he truly is. Thea is the woman who has survived her own tragic past, is still fighting her demons, but is also filled with hope and life. After a failed relationship, Matthew and Tristan are brought back together with their mutual attraction to Thea. Matthew orchestrates the idea of them being together, and he is so positive, and loving, and their hearts are so connected, that Thea and Tristan can't help but want to try this unconventional arrangement. Of course it is never so simple, and Ms. Burgoa exquisitely weaves a story with intriguing and complex characters learning to trust and love unconditionally. I love how she isn't cutting corners, revealing each character slowly, allowing us to learn, care, and empathize with their heartbreaking pasts, while also watching them build a fun, loving and passionate relationship. Their complex journey isn't easy, and their unconventional union is a rollercoaster ride that is at times, raw and painful, but fun, hopeful and passionate as well. This story proves that love has no limits and bounds but is beautiful and pure in all its manifest glory. The ending took my breathe away and I can't wait to to find out what happens next in Matthew, Thea, and Tristan's epic love story in the second book of this duet, Who We Love!

I can’t say I have read too many books that involve three people. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I love Claudia’s work so I knew I wanted to read it. It was truly about who the three of them were, their intense connection they shared, and the struggles they experienced by themselves and together. Who We Are was the first book in her Perfectly Everlasting Duet and needs to be read in order. It was angsty, sweet, and absolutely heart wrenching.

Matthew grew up in a world that required a NDA for almost everything. It made it really hard to to make friends let alone have a relationship. He knew that two people made him want to try; Tristan, his brother’s business partner and Thea, a bartender at one of his hangouts. Even though he wanted them, would he be able to convince them both to try or would it blow up in their faces?

Oh my heart! It had quite the workout during this book. There were so many emotions to sort through. I loved getting to know who they were and how their lives impacted their own thoughts. I am anxious to start the next book as I know it will just as angsty!!

“Neither one of us has a destiny, but our paths crossed. This is unlike me, but I suggest we make the best of it. Dream, love, and believe in a future.”

This is the first book in the Perfect Everlasting Duet and it is an emotional read. Finally readers are given Matthew Decker’s story and boy is there a lot to unpack. Adding in Tristan and Thea to the storyline, just gear up and hold on for the ride. Upon first glance, Matthew comes across as a playboy however that is just a persona he portrays and there is so much more to him. Tristian is the business partner of Matthew’s brother and the attraction between the two is like a volcano waiting to erupt. Can Tristian get past his formative years and follow his heart? Thea is an aspiring doctor of psychology with a tremulous back story and dysfunctional childhood. This book will keep you held in its grasp because you will not be able to put it down. Ms. Burgoa has once again penned life like characters that pull one’s heartstrings as they stumble through life.

WHO WE ARE is the first book in the Perfect Everlasting Duet. Continuing with the Decker Family—this is Matthew Decker, Thea Dennis, and Tristan Cooperson’s story. Claudia has done it again and given her readers another great story. This book was a little different than what I thought it would be, but it was certainly interesting. Unlike Matthew’s other siblings, his love life is complicated and different. Matthew is a musician and a successful businessman who has never had a relationship—just hookups—because of his famous parent’s need to protect their kids growing up and because of their secret gay marriage.

Matthew has always had an attraction to his brother’s business partner, Tristan, who is sexy and hot. After going to the Silver Moon bar, both Matthew and Tristan meet Thea where she works as a bartender. Thea has a lot of problems of her own that she has tried to escape and keep in her past, where it belongs. Both Matthew and Tristan are enamored with the feisty, sassy, and obstinate beautiful. Matthew, Thea, and Tristan are drawn together with all of them finding something in each other that had been lacking in their non-relationships. Everything about Matthew, Thea, and Tristan was wrong, but none of that mattered. Their chemistry leaps off the page. They are combustible. Sit back and be ready for a crazy ride. Claudia Burgoa's phenomenal writing never fails to express the most delicious, heart-aching, heartbreaking, and intense emotions perfectly. You won’t regret reading Who We Are! I reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Thanks Wildfire Marketing for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest feedback

Let me tell you, this duet was a freaking rollercoaster! I am reviewing the two stories in the duet together

I hadn't read anything by Claudia before, so all of the characters were new to me. If you've read any of the books in the Decker Family series, then you'll be familiar with Matthew who is one of the MMC's in this duet

Who We Are focuses on the relationship between Matthew and Tristan, Who We Love continues with that relationship, with the addition of Thea

You need to read the books together, as book one ends where book two picks up. Between the two of them I had my heart broken numerous times. I also smiled, felt angry, felt frustrated and also a lil hot under the collar, because this duet is spicy 🌶️

It's a story about characters learning more about themselves, accepting themselves and realising their worth - all while going through life - where some of it is wonderful and some of it is terrible

Family plays a big part in this book, the Decker family is freaking amazing 💕

I really enjoyed this duet, it wasn't light and fluffy like a lot of books I read are, which I think is why the story has stuck with me days after finishing

Thank you Claudia, I look forward to reading more books by you!

The Perfect Everlasting duet continues with the next sibling in the Decker Family.
Matthew isn’t one to settle down. But when his brother Jacob is on his honeymoon, he has to step in to help with his new business, which means, having to deal with Tristan. There is an immediate attraction, but Tristan denies Matt’s thoughts about being into men.
Then there’s Thea, a bartender at the Silver Moon, that has also the attention of Matt.
His butterfly is very closed off and very private about her life. It takes a lot of convincing to even get to know her a little bit better.

In the first book of this duet we get to know the three characters. We get bits and pieces of how they grew up and how they became the person they are today.
I love the style of writing Claudia uses in her books. She’s got you hooked from beginning till end.

Tissue and Teddy Read!!!

This is a complete duet - parts one and two are both available
It is Matthew, Tristan, and Thea's story
It is packed with angst, hope, betrayal, personal discovery, acceptance, and romance all brought together by a cast that will steal your heart and never let go

The first book focuses more IMO on who the characters are, allowing the reader a chance to know them intimately.
We get a glimpse into their pasts, their secrets, and their dreams.
Tristan who comes from privilege and prestige. Who has to hide his true self from the despicable people who call themselves his family.
Matthew - our sweet loveable Matthew who is bound and determined to bring our trio together. To slay the dragons who might try to harm those he loves so wholeheartedly
and Thea - one of the strongest heroines I have had the pleasure of meeting. She has faced so much tragedy, and overcome so many obstacles and it shows.

This is one of those reads that will drag you through the entire spectrum of emotions kicking and screaming the whole way
Don't pass it up

FIVE MENAGE A TROIS STARS!
Claudia has outdone herself with this telling of the last Decker triplet, Matthew, finding his soulmate. But he finds not one, but two.

Matthew is very open with his life, his sexuality, his lack of commitment. It all starts to change when he starts working with Tristan, a closet bisexuality, who he is strongly drawn to. They have a casual fling but Matthew can't continue with it because of all Tristan's hangup and forced secrecy.

Thea Dennis is a beautiful bartender at the local establishment they frequent to scout for talent. She has a whole storage unit of baggage she carries around on her shoulders due to her messed up childhood. Her parents were terrible. She cannot have a relationship. However, with Matt and Tristan, she feels safe and loved. What can this mean? What can this become?

The cliffy at the end had me perplexed and very anxious to hurriedly jump into the 2nd book in this Duet, Who We Love!

This is book one of a duet and boy does the author bring it! She gives the readers three very well written and lovable characters with Matt, Thea, and Tristan. Love is complicated enough for a couple, but make it a throuple and see what happens! I absolutely love the character development and that these three are so different yet so the same. Love seems to find us all, even if it is not the conventional love that society perpetuates. ~Helen

This book delivers all the angst and then some. I didn't know I needed a strong dose of angst until I started reading and I was consumed. It's gritty and heartbreaking. The three characters are so well written and their story is addictive. The cliffhanger was a doozy and I could not wait to start book 2. This is going to be an epic duet! Definitely must read. ~Andrea
