Jazz is updating her grandparents home and is dealing with someone vandalizing her work. A handy man stops by to see if she needs assistance and it is almost fortuitous. But then she starts falling for her handyman, who has made it clear he will not put down roots. There is a great back and forth pull of emotions throughout the book until the end. SPOILERS AHEAD... There was such a great climax, Jazz alone after Dalton left town, no one around to hear her, a mad man with piano wire... and then poof everything thing is fine, better than fine. It was really anti climatic at that point and a let down. Not that I want Jazz hurt, but a mad man wouldn't just give up and run away like that. Not if he blamed Jazz for ruining his life.

I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.

Wow this was such a relief a good fun clean type of romance I love Jazz and Dalton is such a standup type of guy that we need in life. I can't believe Jazz was being messed around on and her ex trying hard to mess up her life. At least Jazz has Dalton and her sister Jemma to look in on her be there to protect her in so many ways.

This was my first Laura Scott book and I was decently surprised. After a recent breakup Jazz McNally wants to start fresh and away from home. So she moves back to her grandparents home and begins to fix it up to open up an B and B with her sister. With a timeline getting closer she needs help to finish.

Dalton O’Brien is a drifter and looking for work. So when Jazz offers him the job he takes it. But when things start to happen to Jazz's project he gets concerned and wants to help. However, he's conflicted because everything in him also wants to run. Dalton has quite the baggage and Jazz makes him want to stay.

This book was sweet and full of suspense but it also missed an edge. The story was too smooth which made it unbelievable at times. But the series has potential. It won't be one I'm dying to read but if it comes my way I would give the series another chance.

If you’re looking for a nice romantic story with a happily ever after, then this is the book for you. For me it was a bit of a slow burner and only picked up halfway through. I was rooting for the two main characters who both are very cautious about love due to past experiences that hurt them. At the end of the story it felt a bit rushed to tie up one of the story threads. Good news for those who loved this book, this is the first in a series.

I enjoyed this book. A nice light love story.

I didn't care for the ending, it was was too abrupt! However, I am looking forward to Jemma's story. Hope the ending isn't so sudden.

To Love is a clean and sweet story about second chances and starting over.
It is the tale of Jazzlyn, a sweet, determined and generous woman and Dalton, a gifted, caring and wounded individual.
After leaving her previous career as a realtor, Jazz is renovating her grandparents’s lake house and planning to open a B&B with her twin sister, who is also in search of a new beginning after an abusive marriage and a nasty divorce.
Dalton has left his life and his home behind after the tragic death of his wife and baby son. Devastated, he hasn’t yet found a way to overcome his grief, and spends his time drifting from place to place, living off of odd jobs.
When someone tries to sabotage Jazz's project, Dalton steps up to help while Jazz, perceiving his internal struggle, tries to make him face his past and regain ownership of his life.
Jazz and Dalton’s emotional journey is sweet and captivating, in tune with the cozy and delicate atmosphere pervading the book.
Even if the storyline is at times a little slow, To Love is an enjoyable novel, with lively and captivating characters that give the reader the feeling of being immersed in the relaxing environment of a peaceful lakeside vacation

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I have to say that it was incredible. I read it in one sitting. It grabbed me from the first chapter. I love Jazz and Dalton. Jazz was such a strong woman who had a something bad happen in her past but she didn’t let that slow her down. She dusted herself off and started to rebuild her life. Dalton on the other had been dealt a really hard blow in his past and he was now just drifting along in life. He just could not get past what happened. He now moves from town to town doing odd jobs with just what he can carry in his backpack. When him and Jazz meant there was a connection there but to me it was not instant but it grew over time. To me this book had it all. It had suspense, romance and love. It also had a message and to me that message was at some point in everyone’s life bad things happen and we all blame ourselves. At some point we have to move past what happen and learn to live again. Honestly I cannot wait until Jazz’s sister, Jemma’s book. I am 100 percent positive I am going to love it. I would highly recommend this book it was very inspirational for me. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Jazz McNally inherited her grandparents’ mansion along with her siblings and decided to turn it into a B&B. She ran away from her wedding nine months ago after she caught her finance Tom kissing her bridesmaid Megan. Both Tom and Jazz were in real estate and Tom was more interested in the financial benefits of marrying Jazz and merging their companies. He was angry when he was left him with half the wedding bills. McNally Mansion has been vandalized since she’s been there with a broken window, a smashed gazebo, the website hacked and threatening phone calls. The police suggested Tom as a suspect and she dismissed it immediately never mind that he has motive. Several people in town are not happy with her and could be possible suspects including the Mark and Rich Stevenson who own the property next to the B&B, which they are trying to sell. Dalton O’Brien is a drifter with construction experience and Jazz hires him to help fix up the B&B. He is running from his guilt and his past. He lost his wife and son in a car accident when they were on vacation while he was busy being a hot shot architect and earning lots of money. Dalton and Jazz are attracted to each other and keeps kissing her and then pushing her away.

Jazzy McNally is restoring her grandparents home and turning it into a B&B. Although all the grandchildren inherited it, Jazzy and her twin sister are the ones who will be running it. Since her sister is a teacher, Jazzy is doing the construction work while her sister finishes the school year. When random acts of vandalism occur, it becomes hard to imagine finishing the renovations in the remaining time. Answering a knock at the door, a drifter (Dalton) comes looking for construction work. With knowledge and references, they work out a deal. As he catches someone back to do more damage (after having destroyed part of the gazebo the previous night), all of a sudden Jazzy is glad he is there for more than just helping with the renovations. They make a good team, and soon the progress is racing to completion. Too bad there are other problems along the way.

A delightful book with characters that are flawed yet trying to change. I loved the explanations about the work in progress and even tiny details about meals and more. Sad when it was finished, I was thrilled there are more in the series! Definitely an author I will read again!

Jazzlyn McNally and her siblings inherits their grandparents' mansion which she decides to turn into a B&B. But what she doesn't expect is the hatred she receives in the small town where her family was a big name. All her renovation works were sabotaged or vandalised. After one such incident, Dalton comes to work for her. His presence not only accelerates her work pace but also prevents any further attack. Dalton takes it his job to try and find who is the reason behind all the troubles. Suspects turn up one by one and is so confusing to point out. In the mean time, Jazz and Dalton is attracted to each other. But how can a drifter and the woman who puts down her roots work?? Moreover they both have a past that they left behind to choose this life. Will they be able to overcome the past pains and present threats to live a life filled with love??
This small town story is so good and very well written with twists popping up and keeps us guessing for the culprit. The suspense build is great and Jazz n Daltons' rapport is beautiful to read about.

Jazzlyn is working to renovate her grandparent’s former home. She and her twin sister will be running it as a B & B as soon as renovations are complete.

She has had some damage done to a gazebo as well as a rock thrown through the front door. It seems that someone in this small town does not want the B & B in their town.

That is a mystery.

Dalton arrives at her front door at the perfect time. He is a talented handyman and capable of doing repairs on the gazebo as well as other parts of the house which need work.

The two of them are drawn to one another. But, Dalton has a secret in his past which he is unwilling to share with anyone.

This is a fast and sweet read. I wanted to feel that there was more depth. But, nope.

I enjoyed the story. I liked the characters. Both Jazz and Dalton were likable characters.

I just felt that I wanted more.

This sweet and clean contemporary romance portrays characters who have experienced love and loss. Jazz inherits her grandparent's house where she and her twin sister want to turn it into a B&B. Dalton, a drifter, comes along to help her renovations when someone continues to cause destruction about the property. Jazz comes to depend on Dalton for more and more over time, while her sister desires to escape a bad marriage. (although most second-grade teachers would opt to finish out the year). Somewhat predictable in the conclusion, but also disappointed that there was not more about the Irish and Lake Michigan as advertised. Much of the story surrounds meals and it is difficult how anyone would allow a drifter trusted access to the home. Yet, it remains over-all sweet & clean for those who enjoy this genre.

To Love by Laura Scott is book one of The McNallys series. It is a clean ,sweet and fun romance with a bit of suspense. Laura Scott does a wonderful job of giving you false leads before you get the mystery figured out of who is vandalizing the B & B. The B& B was what Jazzlyn McNally turned her and her siblings inheritance into, when they inherited their grandparents' mansion. Dalton O’Brien is the handyman Jazzlyn hires to help remodel the mansion into a B&B. Dalton O’Brien does not think he can put roots down but Jazzlyn is falling for him . Meanwhile there is the mystery of the vandalism they investigate. This was a good first book of a series and makes you want the next one. This series will be on my to buy list as it kept my interest.

Great start to a series I am anxious to read. The McNally's are opening a B&B in their grandparents home. Jazz is back in town to get all the renovation taken care before her sister and nephew join her. It's hard work so when a mysterious drifter, Dalton O'Brien, offers to assist she can't possibly refuse.

These two both have their own baggage from their past and neither are ready to entertain the thoughts of a new relationship. However, the chemistry between them is a draw so strong they can't seem to ignore it.

While fighting this attraction they end up fighting vandals dead set to hinder the B&B's renovation. This was interesting read and loved these two characters. Bringing in Jemma and her son at the end leads straight to book 2 and I can't wait to read it!

A handyman drifter with pain in his heart and a forsaken bride combine in this romance to form a bond over renovations and over vandalism in this pleasing novel.
Jazzlyn (Jazz) McNally left her intended after she caught him kissing her maid of honor. Decidedly moving forward, she hires Dalton O’Brien to help her renovate her grandparent’s home into a B & B. Along the way, a series of vandalism to the repairs and a joint love of the work draw Jazz and Dalton closer. But, a tragedy in his recent past keeps him from his emotions for her. Time can mend a broken heart but will it mend a broken soul?

To Love (The McNally Series, book 1) by Laura Scott is all about new starts and second chances. A little suspense, a little danger, a little drama and some romance are all blended together in this story, making it an enjoyable and intriguing read.

This is the first book written by Laura Scott that I have read. I liked her style, the plot, the growth in the characters and the development of the romance. Fans of contemporary, clean romance will enjoy this book just like I did.

Very sweet, tender story with some suspence.
Its clean romance. There were some kisses and nothing much more. ;-))
I liked it a lot. MC's had some previous baggage: the heroine had cheating fiancé, she dumped him the day before wedding, and the hero had his wife and 6 months son dead from car accident.
I liked author’s style, and i liked MCs and SCs as well.

This is a fun, sweet, and clean romance book that is full of suspense. Someone is trying to sabotage the B&B and Jazzlyn McNally does not know why someone would do that. Throw in a sexy drifter who is willing to help get the B&B ready for opening day and you have a very interesting story that I could not put down. I really like Jazz. She is strong and hardworking and not afraid to fix up the B&B even when someone is trying to destroy it. I am so excited because the next book in the series is about Jemma, who is Jazzlyn's twin sister.

Ms. Scott nails it with a sweet read about two people who weren’t looking for love but Love was looking for them. Dalton had lost everything important in his life and didn’t think he deserved happiness. While Jazz was moving on from a relationship that should have never happened while beginning her family business of a bed and breakfast. Together they both heal and could have a life together if someone was sabotaging Jazz’s efforts to complete the work she needed to do. If you love sweet romances this one is for you!

Excellent story! The start of a new series and a new, to me, author, makes my day.

This story is all too real in today's society. The heroine was very strong and able to walk away from a toxic relationship without looking back. She and her twin had a plan and we're well on the road to accomplishing everything. Enter the hero not envisioning his life as anything more than that of a drifter. It was a really sweet book that also kept you on your toes waiting for the other shoe to drop. And then.....HEA.

This book was gifted to me by NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Jazz is renovating her grandparents large home, making it into a Bed and Breakfast.
Someone doesn't want that to happen and is vandalizing her property. But who? She really can't think of anyone that is holding a grudge.

Along comes a Dalton, a handyman with problems of his own, but she hires him to help her. He turns out to be quite the protector, and saves her in more ways than one.

Read the book and find out who is after Jazz and why. There is more to this story than just, boy meets girl, etc.
