Book two in the Indefinite Duet in the Salvation Series

Quinn & Ashton's conclusion

I was right. I never should’ve fallen back in love with Quinn. I always knew we wouldn’t make it. And to make matters worse, not only did I lose my soulmate—I lost myself as well.

Everything was stripped away, leaving me bare and unable to breathe. No one told me it could hurt this much. I was unprepared for this level of agony from the horrible weight of grief.

I planned to love him infinitely. But what is infinity, when love always ends?

I loved this book because I didn't just read it. I felt it. It moved me. It's one of those books that I'll still be thinking about long after I finished

💙 Quinn and Ashton's story continues and it only gets better. This book takes us on a very emotional ride. A story told in an honest, raw and passionate way.

ALL THE FEELS. And when I say all the feels I mean all of them! from good to bad to sad.

I cried happy emotional tears because these character's actions touched me deeply. I was blown away by true love, trust and respect. It was admirable.
Ashton and Quinn's story was SO MUCH MORE than I expected and I'm very happy for it.

I hope I'm not too vague or just rambling but I do not want to #spoiler any part of this story.

Going through the Salvation series was fabulous. Seeing them all back in this last book was a treat for our hearts.
Corinne Michaels wrapped it up real nice with a cherry on top!

I'm officially #bookhangover

This book was EVERYTHING.....ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!!! I haven't read a book this heart-wrenching, gripping and emotional in quite sometime. It had me to the point that I had to stop reading to compose myself and give my poor heart and eyes a rest. But this book was definitely worth every freaking TEAR, LAUGH and SMILE, it was such a raw and powerful read you don't want to put it down! This is unequivocally Corinne's BEST BOOK TO DATE and that's saying so much since her books are thoroughly amazing! No doubt in my mind this is a TOP READ of 2019 and such a heartbreakingly beautiful story! Here's your warning..... this book will have you GASPING, leave you BREATHLESS, leave you SPEECHLESS and leave you with the biggest BOOK HANGOVER EVER..... so HAPPY READING!

Ok so I'm sorta crying and Sad. This series is over, and this book was the perfect ending.

I cannot and will not give anything away, so you are all getting my best possible review. So I apologize now for the wishy washy comments. Here is how I reacted when I was reading.....

So I was like HUH?
Why did that happen?
HE DID WHAT???
And then I was like , well duh, now that makes sense...
And started throwing my phone at the wall.

Reading this book answers so many questions about the people and series.... Just everything. Quinn and Ashton's story started a long time ago, and the heartbreak and the agony from book one bled over to book 2. How could it not, so that's not a spoiler, and I refuse to give anything away. This book is powerful and beautiful and enrapturing from the first page. Definitely worth it. One-click right now. I voluntarily reviewed this book from the author.

What a ride we went on to get the conclusion to the Salvation series. In typical Corinne fashion, we went on a roller coaster ride of emotions. We left off in Indefinite with a huge cliffhanger that left some people angry, while others were prepared, what’s a duet without a cliffhanger? We jump back into the book right where the other left off and the ride just beginnings. If you were watching my goodreads status updates as I progressed through the book you would have seen I spent a good chunk of the book yelling and screaming at Ashton. What a twit she is! I wanted to jump into the book and just shake her on several occasions. The first three quarters of the book were spent screaming at Ashton and crying ugly tears for everything that was going on. It’s amazing how invested we get with these characters, they feel like they are my friends, and I’m sad the story is over for good, there are no new characters to write stories about.

I got about 80% through the book before I figured out how the book was going to end and my thoughts were correct! You read and fall in love with authors and their characters and you are able to pick up on what’s going to happen in the end. It doesn’t ruin the surprise in the end because you get to read how what you thought was going to happen play out and that’s always where the surprise is. I absolutely loved this book and it was a perfect way to end the end the Salvation series, even though my heart was ripped out of my chest several times while reading it. Another 5+ star read.

I’m still trying to piece my thoughts together. When I finished Indefinite, I was itching for Infinite. I knew it was going to be EPIC on so many levels......and Ms. Michaels did not disappoint.

The emotions that Ashton experienced hit so very close to home for me. I have to say bravo to Ms. Michaels for capturing and nailing every single heartbreaking emotion that Quinn and Ashton dealt with.

Even though I was anxious to read Infinite, I’m sad that the Salvation Series is complete; but that’s what is so great about books, I can go back and re-read every single one of them again!!!

Thank you Ms. Michaels for bringing all of these characters to “life”!

Not going to say too much for this review just know that I cried as the story continued, I got a little angry, and then I cried as this couple's story concluded and the series as a whole wrapped up. It has been an AMAZING journey over the years and I will miss them all immensely!

DEVOURED!! That’s what I did to this book. I literally dove in as soon as it hit my kindle and didn’t come up for air until I read “The End.”

I nearly died at the ending of Indefinite. Not really, but my frantic nerves had me completely on edge. I needed Infinite STAT to cure my ailments. And it did. It really, really did. This book y’all.

GAH!!! So raw and emotional! I don’t want to give any details because I could easily get carried away and spoil the fun for everyone else, so I’ll just say that whatever it is you think you need after the ending you’re left hanging onto...you’ll get it. Corinne delivers that and so much more!!!

There’s definitely a wide range of feels here for the taking...anger, frustration, love, sadness. Some would say you need tissues. I did not cry but you can’t use me for reference, I’m dead inside.

Enjoy!!!

5 “Gutwrenching Stars”

So, I finished this amazing book two days ago, but my mind is still trying to process everything I’ve read. Talk about book hangover! I have definitely been put through the ringer with the conclusion of Quinn and Ashton’s story. To say Corinne Michaels outdid herself with these two is the understatement of the year. The emotional rollercoaster she took me on is one for the record books.

With phenomenal writing, Michaels weaves a tale with strong, yet broken characters; a story so full of emotions that I was totally invested from page one and felt every ounce of heartache these characters went through. I cried sad tears, angry tears, and finally tears of joy. I always love being amongst these guys in the Salvation series. And I have to say I’m sad to see it come to an end, but the ride is totally worth it. Hands down, Infinite is Michaels best to date.
#Oneclick Indefinite and Infinite today and let Ladykiller steal your heart. I know he did mine ;)

Corinne has done it with this book!! I couldnt wait to see how Ashton and Quinn's story unfolded after Indefinite and needless to say I was not disappointed. I felt ALL the emotions in this book. Happy, sad, angry, heart broken, overjoyed. It's such a rollercoaster ride but man what a good one!! Its impossible to not fall in love with Quinn and the way he loves Ashton! You also cant help but feel Ashton's feelings all along the journey!

This is probably some of Corinne's best work and a definite MUST READ!

There are several series that resonate with me, ones that I will remember for all time, and the Salvation series is one of them. I read books 1–5 a few years ago, and enjoyed how each book featured a different hero and heroine. As the series progressed, the characters returned and continued to be part of the storyline. I just loved the friendships, romances, comradery, expanding family, and bond they all shared and was so looking forward to Quinn and Ashton finally having their chance at happiness.

The males in this story are or were Navy Seals so their missions are interwoven so masterfully into each storyline. I love the suspense and mystery and how these hot, smart, and devoted guys work together and are at the top of their game. It has not always been easy for this group of friends and their wives; they suffered tragedies and have the battle scars to prove it. I also love the friendships among all of the women and how they had to practice a bit of tough love with Ashton all the while showing her unconditional support.

In book 6, Indefinite, Quinn and Ashton are reunited, work through their issues, and define their relationship goals. There were times that I couldn’t read fast enough waiting to see what happens next. It was so emotional and then ended with a cliffhanger! Fortunately for new readers, both books are out now so you won’t have to wait. Infinite, book 2 of the duet which is book 7 in the series, is just heartbreaking, raw and real. Their love is tested over and over again.

This book is everything and the writing is brilliant as you feel deeply for each of the characters and have empathy for what they are going through. Love may have its glorious moments, but it’s also navigating the rough spots and knowing that love is Infinite, regardless of the circumstances. It’s also about knowing when to stay and knowing when to let go.

This story affected me personally because I could relate to Ashton. I admired her strength and courage and her ability to fight for her happiness when she was drowning in sorrow. Quinn is someone you will adore, admire, and swoon over. He was so loving and patient, and you just want to hug him and never let go. His actions and selflessness are so hero-worthy and you will route for him and Ashton the entire time. Each chapter gets better and better.

And if your eyes aren’t too blurry and bloodshot by the end of the book, you will be rewarded with a special treat from Corinne! She wrote a bonus epilogue that reunites all of the characters in the previous books as they join together to celebrate in Ashton and Quinn’s heartwarming and very much deserved HEA. What a fabulous ending to a fabulous series!

Okay....just finished Infinite and I am a wreck of emotions! FIRST OFF: you need to read Indefinite before you start this book! And if you have already finished that book, you know what happened and what everyone is chomping at the bit to find out!!

All I am going to say about all THAT is, this book is SO emotional!! Corinne is really becoming the queen of ripping out your heart, juggling it for a while as she's laughing that evil laugh, before saying, "okay, I'm done playing with you" and crafts a story that has you crying and then smiling so hard you feel like your face will break.

There is some pretty heavy subject matter in this story, and the way that Ashton and Quinn deal with it is so emotionally charged, I'm pretty sure I held my breath for half this book! It was so heartwarming to see the whole Salvation gang rally around these two people. That's what they do though, they are just one big family that circle the wagons when anything happens to one of them.

That epilogue! GAH I can't even!!

I can't believe this is the end of the line. I hope Corinne continues to give us glimpses into these character's lives, whether through novellas or cameos in other series. This gang holds a special place in my heart!

I don’t know if I was ready for this emotional rollercoaster. I was so excited and counting down until Infinite released.... and I am still absolutely blown away.

This is part two of Ashton and Quinn’s story and it picked up exactly where part one left off.

I want this review to be spoiler free, but I will say.... I don’t know if I can name another author who has the ability to drag my emotions through such turmoil in just one book, make me cry and give me the happy ever after like Corinne Michaels can.

“I’ll be the fight when you have none. I’ll be the strength when you think there’s nothing left. I’ll love you enough when you can’t love yourself.”

This one is worth every star I have to give and more!!!

My favorite book by Corinne Michaels!

And one of the best books I've ever read, that is for sure.

This is the second book in Ashton and Quinn's duet. I was a wreck when I finished Indefinite, but somehow in a good way, and Infinite was able to put me back together, break me again, amend my heart and fill it.

Even being partially right about my assumptions for what was happening, Corinne still managed to surprise me in such a higher way. With everything that happened and the mistery around Quinn, I was ready to be mad at "someone" and put all the blame on them, but then I was speechless, because it was way deeper that I expected.
I can't say more than that, or I'll give spoiler, but it the answer to that question was so beautifully painful and profound. Only this author could make feel for someone I was supposed to hate.

And what should I say about Quinn and Ashton? I thought I have favorites already about her books, but these two absolutely stole my heart, and I don't want it back.

"I was always told that loving someone made you weak, and they were wrong, sweetheart. So wrong. I wasn't weak because of loving you, I was strong and determined, even when I felt beaten. You were what made me live"

There were so many intense dialogues and discussions, and not only between them, but also involving the secondary characters, who were so fundamental to this story.

I was hooked, breathless, aching the whole time. I watched the discussions come to life right in front of me, and the arguments were so strong, so right, I was rooting for everyone all at the same time.

It was heart-wrenching, poignant, exquisite and I felt as if I had a full balloon inside my chest.

"Don't pull away. I'll give you the breath you need to warm you. I'll do whatever it takes, just let me. Let me be your heart"

My heart was filled with pain and sorrow and grief and hope and love. I wanted to hug Ashton and Quinn, I wanted to carry their burden. Their depression was so wonderfully and sensitively written, it was raw and real and I couldn't help but believe in it and feel it too.

They faced such a hard way out of that painful fog. But can you blame them?

"'I'm not strong enough'
'I'm strong enough for the both of us, Ashton. I won't let you fall apart'"

Ashton and Quinn lived the unbearable. They had so many events to alter the course of their lives it wasn't even funny.
Life is unpredictable and they had to learn that the hard way.

"I'll give her the world if she'll give me her heart"

After so many hits from life, they are both struglling having to learn how to live again from scratch.
They are free falling in sorrow and depression, barely coping and hardly surviving. I guess you could say they had each other, but even that you couldn't say for sure.
The pain was so deep and rooted it made it even harder to simply breathe.

"The ground seems so far away, and I'm weightless, but before I have time to fear the fall, Quinn is right there to catch me"

But the beautiful thing is that even with all their pain, they still had real love. They couldn't even love themselves, but they loved each other. They were consumed by grief and ache, but their hearts were still beating for one another, even against their will and better judgement.

"I don't know how to stop loving you, Quinn. I don't know how to make my heart not beat for you. You're the only man I want in my life, and I can't bear the thought of not being with you"

They were sorrow and fight. They were pain and love. They were grief and hope. They were each other's safe nest. They were past and future.
They were inifinite.

"I'm not going to give you the choice because there's nothing I won't do to make us work. I'll be the fight when you have none. I'll be the strength when you think there's nothing left. I'll love you enough when you can't love yourself (...) we're infinite"

Their path was one of the hardest ones to go through. Their journey was full of bumps and stones. They had to learn how to jump the wholes, get up after a major fall, get help when needed, offer a hand even being broken.
They also learned how to find love in the darkness, how to honor the past whilst embracing the future, how to let go of the pain without abandoning the memories.
After all, they had the infinite to keep building their story and so many new memories to create.
They'd got everything they needed and infinite time to enjoy it.

"'Do you feel like you finally got everything you wanted?'
'I got that when I got you, this is more. So much more'"

Corinne has blown me away with this one! No words will do this story justice and nothing I say can express how incredible it really is but prepare yourself, hold on tight because it’s one hell of a journey!

After the cliffhanger from indefinite, its safe to say I was a little apprehensive about this one but yet so excited, infact from the moment it landed on kindle, everything was put on hold and I devoured it!

This story ripped my heart out and destroyed me, that was from the first chapter! I didn’t just cry, I sobbed and I mean literally sobbed my heart out, I was a complete broken mess. My eyes were so puffy I looked like id been in a boxing ring. That’s how real and raw this incredible story is!

How can a book break and hurt you so much and leave you in this state? And at the same time you absolutely love it and cannot praise it enough!
It’s because the author is one hell of a writer, and you can tell, Corinne has poured her heart and soul into this story, its got to be some of her best work if not the best!

This story touched me deeply, I felt every emotion the characters feel. Its everything, a story with ALL THE FEELS, my stomach churned, I felt anger, heart ache and on the edge of my seat. There’s some sucker punch moments, bombshells to stop you breathing. Theres going to be a lot of cursing and without a doubt your going to feel like throwing that kindle/book at the wall.
So many times I wanted to just stop and take a breather, psyche myself back up to begin but yet I couldn’t even manage to put it down, it consumed me so much!

And despite the heartache of the story, which Corinne gives us in great depth, she brings us the classic bits of humour these guys are known for! As well as swoon and melt over these guys !

A Beautiful touching story that truly deserves each and every one of the 5 stars and more !

A Top Read is 2019!!!!

I love a book that gives me all the feels. I have said this many times before. Infinite did exactly that. Took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions that I often had to press pause because I just couldn't feel anything else, it was too overwhelming. My heart was pounding, the tears were flowing and I loved every second of it.

Putting the book down a few times was a necessity. Ashton and Quinn's story was a journey that was hard to watch but also so beautiful at times. Watching these two grow as a couple and individually was a trek that was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.

This is a duet and reading Indefinite is a must. Grab your tissues, pour some wine and go for an emotional ride that only Corinne Michaels is capable of giving us.

Corinne Michaels always holds a special place in my heart because it was her and her books that made me discover the Indy romance world. And the Salvation series has always been one of my all time favorite series. I have re-read the series multiple times.

Infinite is the last book in the series and to this duet and as the saying goes, "saved the BEST for last". Corinne Michaels does not hold back in this book. She takes readers right in the middle of Ashton and Quinn's real relationship. It is a beautiful, heartbreaking story I could not put down. It is real, you feel all that they feel, you understand what they go through and you just want more of them- not just Ashton and Quinn but the entire Salvation series guys and girls.

No spoilers here except to say this is a MUST READ! It is my top 2019 read and goes into my all time favorite books because not only does Corinne Michaels make it real for readers but she makes us whole. Read this book and love those in your life! We do not need to do life alone!

The end-all, be-all of duets. Corinne Michaels absolutely SLAYED Ashton and Quinn's story! In the epic conclusion of the Salvation series, Corinne pulls out all the stops. Her signature contemporary romance that's intense and emotionally-driven, mixed with great humor and banter, this series is not to be missed. I'll always recommend starting from the beginning with Beloved and Beholden, but each set of characters stories can be read by themselves.

We're met with Ashton and Quinn's continuation. What is happening with him, with her, with their future? As hard as it is to avoid spoiling this story, I cannot help but to just urge you to read it as Infinite is an experience. That's really all I can say.

"Ashton is a comet racing across the sky. I can see her—she’s bright, beautiful, and wondrous, but she can’t be caught. She leaves a trail behind her, reminding me that I can keep trying to chase her, but I’ll never be fast enough.”

Sometimes I find it hard to convey the feelings I get when reading a Corinne Michaels story. I may not have experienced the scenarios that her characters have gone through but I cannot help but connect with these characters and their stories. They need to be told and I'm always here to read them.

This conclusion to the duet was nothing short of amazing. You will absolutely feel every single emotion right down to your bones. I honestly went through the same feelings that Quinn and Ashton went through during the book. I was sad, devastated, hurt, angry, frustrated, and eventually happy. I was mentally and emotionally drained after reading this book. I am so glad Corinne wrote these books for Ashton and Quinn. They definitely deserved this story to be told.

This just might be Corinne's best book yet. She has such a talent to be able to make the reader feel like they are truly a part of the story. I know that this is supposed to be the end of the Salvation series but I truly don't want to ever let these characters go. This is one of those series that I will always want more.

Quinn and Ashton's story continues where Indefinite left off. This breathtaking and poignant story takes us on a journey that is so raw, compelling, and heartbreaking. I already cared deeply for Quinn and Ashton, which made it so painful to watch them go through some of the things they did. But more beautiful and inspiring to see them become stronger, and their love more powerful. Ms Michaels tackles some very sensitive and emotional subject matter with such honesty and empathy. She easily brought me into their world, making me feel like I was right there and experiencing every emotion, that left me raw, breathless and totally satisfied. I loved how essential their friends were through it all adding more support, love, and laughter. The ending was so perfect and had me in tears, again, but in a joyful way! I absolutely loved every word of this beautiful, breathtaking, and passionate love story!

Emotionally gripping!

It's been a long time since a book brought a tear to my eyes. Infinite hit so close to home for me that it was inevitable I'd be an emotional mess.

Quinn and Ashton have been to hell and back as a couple and individually. I don't know how Corinne captured Ashton's thoughts and emotions so perfectly as she dealt with her issues but she did and it slayed me.

Although the duet (Indefinite and Infinite) may be read as a stand alone. It is part of the Salvation series of SEALS who with their wives make appearances throughout the duet. I highly recommend reading all of them.

It's been a true emotional rollercoaster ride and this is the second book in the duet series; the story of Quinn and Ashton continues after a heartbreaking ending of the first book. I hope I don't spoil it too much with this review but I just gotta say that the thing Quinn and Ashton have to go through is just so devastating and happens more in real life than we think. A definite must read!

Ashton has to deal with some devastating news and the world seems to be crumbling down around her. When something happens that will shake up the team, Quinn doesn't even know what to do anymore. Everything seems be getting worse by the minute and they can't seem to catch a break. When life takes a turn and they're trying to keep afloat, Ashton will make a decision that will change their future... But will it be enough?... And will they get their happy ending after all?...

There's so much guilt cocooning us that one of us may suffocate under it.

Yes, I was one of the readers that knew what the hell I was getting into when I read Indefinite. I knew what Corinne does to us. She teases us incessantly and then BAM, makes us wait. I will say, I was grateful that the waiting period was short, but as soon as I saw this drop on my Kindle, no one was allowed to talk to me for 4 straight hours....while on vacation...with my family....my husband may not have agreed with my choices.

Totally worth it.

You guys. This book. There is so much heartache and GRIEF. Just when you think that you've figured it out, processed your feelings, compartmentalized everything, BITCH SLAP.

So
Much
Hurt

I mean, Corinne didn't just go for a first down here, she went for the 90 yard pass with a touch down to win the mother f'ing Super Bowl. It will crush you.

But that's what we all love about Corinne, right? I know, I keep asking myself why too, but we're addicts and in this together. So here we are. Let my heart bleed.

The swoon level in this one? Holy crap, off the charts. Quinn makes winning Ashton over his mission.

I was always told that loving someone made you weak, and they were wrong, sweetheart. So wrong. I wasn't weak because of loving you, I was strong and determined, even when I felt beaten. You were what made me live.

Ashton is crushed. She is at her lowest low, and she needs someone to raise her up despite her feeling that this is her destiny.

"I'm not strong enough", I admit.
Quinn brings his lips to mine.
"I'm strong enough for the both of us, Ashton. I won't let you fall apart."

And this epilogue?!?! HANDS DOWN, best in the series! This book is worth reading again, just to read that epilogue.

But imagine my horror when I find that there's a BONUS scene and NO WIFI!!!!!! Words were said. My kids may have heard. I think I owe them money.

I can't believe this is it for this crew! I have really enjoyed diving back into this world after being away for a few years.

Now Corinne, please do me a favor and live up to your dedication(which made me laugh) and go write some 'fluffy' books with Melanie. I need a breather after this one!

Omg this book was absolutely heartbreaking, gut wrenching, tragic, and beautifully breathtaking. Quinn and Ashton are so perfect for each other in their messed up way. It was such a touching story that forced me to take a mental break from reading it because I felt so connected to these characters and was emotionally exhausted. I don’t think I’ve ever cried this much from a book. So sad to see it end but glad we got to revisit the boys. FYI: The epilogue was epic!

Get Ready for Corinne’s Best Work Yet ! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic's Read

Get ready to dig out of the hole you are in from reading Indefinite... Put on your big girl panties and get ready... in other words... WOMAN UP!

The story is going to pick right up where the last left off with tears and jaws dropped open. Ashton & Quinn both have the absolute worst things happen to them and they have to figure out how go get on the other side of it. Get ready for a ride... it’s emotional!

...NO SPOILERS!

This book was everything. Top 2019, top of all time! You know when you hear all. the. feels...well this book has it, it truly captures everything. You are so in the moment, happy, sad, funny, the tears, the love, you got it! This book gutted me, literally. Gutted. Me and then like only Corinne knows how stitched me back up. I can't say enough about Corinne Michael's writing style, she captures pure emotion like no other. I'm still trying to digest what just happened. Total book hangover.Do yourself a favor and read this series. It's one that you will read over and over again! #FLovedIt

~ 4 Emotional Stars ~

Infinite is an emotionally heart breaking story of loss but also a heartwarming story of moving on and picking yourself up. As well as unending love!!!

This story broke my heart but in the end it also put it back together. Quinn and Ashton had a rough road to their HEA, but it was so worth it in the end. I will be honest, this story didn’t go in the direction I thought it would, but it was still an enjoyable read.

This book picks up right where Indefinite ends. We were left with a brutal cliffhanger in Indefinite but thankfully we get answers right away in the beginning of this book. Infinite is NOT a standalone novel. You HAVE to read Indefinite before reading Infinite.

I can’t say a lot about the storyline in Infinite. I don’t want to spoil it for other readers. I will say this, Quinn still made this duet of books for me. I loved his character!!! I again struggled to like or feel for Ashton. There were many occasions I wanted to shake her and say wake up. I will say that I was grateful for her best friends in this story, because they expressed many of the feelings I was feeling towards Ashton.

I do want to warn readers that this book may be a trigger for some readers. Corinne does talk about a very heavy subject matter, that could be troublesome for some readers to read. I will say that Corinne handled it very well. I personally have never been in the position that Quinn and Ashton are during this story, but Corinne made me feel everything they were feeling. This story felt real and genuine.

I loved the epilogue of this story!!! I only wish we could’ve seen more of that direction of the characters happen sooner in the book. I would’ve liked to follow that journey a little more with Quinn and Ashton. But again it was still an enjoyable read

I would recommend this duet to all romance readers. If you are a fan of an emotionally heart wrenching, and angst filled love story, then this is the duet to read. You most definitely want to add this to your TBR list!!!!
