The creator of MURDER FALCON and Wonder Dead Earth is launching a brand-new limited series!
Lona Steelrose wants to be a pro wrestler, but she’s living under the shadow of her mother, the best to ever do it. Everything changes when a wrestling-obsessed necromancer asks her to join the grandest pro wrestling tournament of all time, which is also the most dangerous! It’s The Wrestler meets Dragonball Z in a tale where the competitors get more than they ever bargained for!

I’ll read anything and everything by DWJ, and this is a great start to a new indie book by him. Interested to see how this develops, and hope it gets an OHC when it gets collected.
So, I was a Wrestling mark for 30 years, it was my first love, but most comics about pro-wrestling are usually fairly cheesy and meh, but holy Christ was this incredible, heart-wrenching, and unique. I loved it. I wasn't sure where they were going with his at first, as it seems like a down-to-earth, realistic story, then bam, goes in a totally different direction.
I'm intrigued, inspired, and excited for the ride.
the animations were really beautiful in this book. the story wasn’t the most compelling for me, but the end really got me and was so touching and lovely. made me appreciate wrestling more, which had been missing for me up to that point in the book.

I was the 4th person to read this comic in my house and now I HAVE to be the first to read issue 2 when it comes out! This storyline and art is HOT, Hot, HOT!
I can’t believe it took me this long to get on this book! I read Wonder Woman: Dead Earth earlier this year and with this book, DWJ is quickly becoming one of my absolute favorite comics creators. His art can be frenetic but also full of emotional weight and pathos. The first issue perfectly and economically sets up Lona as a protagonist we all want to root for.
I had decided I was just gonna wait for the Trade on this one, but I kept hearing about how good it was and gave in. Thought this first issue was really good, looking forward to seeing where this goes.
This was one of the most captivating initial issues of fiction I've ever read. The understanding of Kayfabe and then the transcendental surrealism of it all collapsing when an in ring death occurs. Just brilliant.

Saw this in my lcbs before it shut down. Will always pick up anything wrestling related. Very interesting and different start to the story. Hopefully I can find more issues
I’ve been excited to check this one out for a while now and I can’t say that I’m disappointed. I love the artwork because it’s vibrant and immersive. It felt like I was watching a pro wrestling match. Growing up, I was a big fan of the WWE, and while I don’t watch it now, it’s nice to revisit the world of wrestling entertainment. The story seems to be pointing towards an interesting direction, and I’m looking forward to where it goes from here.
My first comic in about 10-15 years. It was ok until the last page and then It got interesting. Not sure if this was already written but the guy at the comic book store said it came out last month.
A young girl is watching her mom preform in a wrestling match when suddenly things go terrible wrong… This was one of the saddest first issues I’ve ever read. The art is great and so is the storyline. Even though I knew it was going to be sad I still wasn’t ready for it. Excited for this series but I hope it lightens up a little bit.
Review of the first 3 issues. Really fun, colourful and action packed mini series. A multidimensional wrestling tournament is at the heart of the story, with many characters joining in the hope to win the ultimate price: resuscitating a loved one of choice.
There are great moves in the panels and interesting twists in the story. A solid start.
